In this paper, we report measured Lorentz N2-broadening and N2-induced pressure-shift coefficients of CH3D in the ν2 fundamental band using a multispectrum fitting technique. These measurements were made by analyzing 11 laboratory absorption spectra recorded at 0.0056 cm−1 resolution using the McMath-Pierce Fourier transform spectrometer located at the National Solar Observatory on Kitt Peak, Arizona. The spectra were obtained using two absorption cells with path lengths of 10.2 and 25 cm. The total sample pressures ranged from 0.98 to 402.25 Torr with CH3D volume mixing ratios of 0.01 in nitrogen. We have been able to determine the N2 pressure-broadening coefficients of 368 ν2 transitions with quantum numbers as high as J″ = 20 and K = 16, where K″ = K′ ≡ K (for a parallel band). The measured N2-broadening coefficients range from 0.0248 to 0.0742 cm−1 atm−1 at 296 K. All the measured pressure-shifts are negative. The reported N2-induced pressure-shift coefficients vary from about −0.0003 to −0.0094 cm−1 atm−1. We have examined the dependence of the measured broadening and shift parameters on the J″, and K quantum numbers and also developed empirical expressions to describe the broadening coefficients in terms of m (m = −J″, J″, and J″ + 1 in the QP-, QQ-, and QR-branch, respectively) and K. On average, the empirical expressions reproduce the measured broadening coefficients to within 4.7%. The N2-broadening and pressure-shift coefficients were calculated on the basis of a semiclassical model of interacting linear molecules performed by considering in addition to the electrostatic contributions the atom-atom Lennard-Jones potential. The theoretical results of the broadening coefficients are in good overall agreement with the experimental data (8.7%). The N2-pressure shifts whose vibrational contribution is derived from parameters fitted in the QQ-branch of self-induced shifts of CH3D, are also in reasonable agreement with the scattered experimental data (20% in most cases).  相似文献

We report measured Lorentz O2-broadening and O2-induced pressure-shift coefficients of CH3D in the ν2 fundamental band. Using a multispectrum fitting technique we have analyzed 11 laboratory absorption spectra recorded at 0.011 cm−1 resolution using the McMath-Pierce Fourier transform spectrometer, Kitt Peak, Arizona. Two absorption cells with path lengths of 10.2 and 25 cm were used to record the spectra. The total sample pressures ranged from 0.98 to 339.85 Torr with CH3D volume mixing ratios of 0.012 in oxygen. We report measurements for O2 pressure-broadening coefficients of 320 ν2 transitions with quantum numbers as high as J″ = 17 and K = 14, where K″ = K′ ≡ K (for a parallel band). The measured O2-broadening coefficients range from 0.0153 to 0.0645 cm−1 atm−1 at 296 K. All the measured pressure-shifts are negative. The reported O2-induced pressure-shift coefficients vary from about −0.0017 to −0.0068 cm−1 atm−1. On average, the empirical expressions reproduce the measured broadening coefficients to within 4.4%. The O2-broadening and pressure shift coefficients were calculated on the basis of a semiclassical model of interacting linear molecules performed by considering in addition to the electrostatic contributions the atom-atom Lennard-Jones potential. The theoretical results of the broadening coefficients are generally larger than the experimental data. Using for the trajectory model an isotropic Lennard-Jones potential derived from molecular parameters instead of the spherical average of the atom-atom model, a better agreement is obtained with these data, especially for |m| ? 12 values (11.3% for the first calculation and 8.1% for the second calculation). The O2-pressure shifts whose vibrational contribution are either derived from parameters fitted in the QQ-branch of self-induced shifts of CH3D or those obtained from pressure shifts induced by Xe in the ν3 band of CH3D are in reasonable agreement with the scattered experimental data (17.0% for the first calculation and 18.7% for the second calculation).  相似文献

In this paper we present measurements of the air-broadening coefficients of HO2 at room temperature in the 2ν1 band around 1.5 microns. The HO2 radicals were created by flash photolysis of SOCl2 in a flow of O2/CH3OH mixtures. To observe air-broadening, N2 (79%) and O2 (21%) were added using calibrated flow controllers and a total pressure controller. The total pressure was monitored in parallel using a capacitive pressure gauge. Air-broadening coefficients at 296 K were determined for 34 absorption lines between 6631 and 6671 cm−1. The air-broadening coefficients of HO2 show a rotational dependence (decreasing from about 0.14 cm−1/atm for N″ = 3 to about 0.09 cm−1/atm for N″ = 10). No evidence for collisional narrowing was observed.  相似文献

The N2- and O2-broadening effect have been investigated for 10 absorption lines of the CO2 (3001)III ← (0000) band centered at 6231 cm−1, in the range from P(28) to R(28) by a near-infrared diode-laser spectrometer. We have analyzed the observed line profiles with the Galatry function, and determined the N2- and O2-broadening coefficients precisely. The air-broadening coefficients for these lines have been derived. The present results are compared with those of the previous studies for this band and with some of the other bands.  相似文献

Air-broadened linewidths, pressure-induced shift coefficients and their temperature dependences were retrieved for over 1000 transitions in the ν3 band of 14N16O2 at 6 μm. In addition, precise line center positions and relative intensities were also determined. The results were obtained by fitting simultaneously 27 spectra recorded at high resolution (0.002-0.006 cm−1) with two Fourier transform spectrometers and gas sample temperatures ranging from 206 to 298 K. It was necessary to modify the multispectrum fitting software to accommodate constraints on the retrieved parameters of closely spaced spin-split doublets in order to successfully determine their broadening and shift parameters. The variations of the widths, shifts and their temperature dependences with the quantum numbers were investigated. Subsets of the observed linewidths were reproduced to within 3% using an empirical smoothing function.  相似文献

The rovibrational spectrum of the N2-N2O van der Waals complex has been recorded in the N2O ν1 region (∼1285 cm−1) using a tunable diode laser spectrometer to probe a pulsed supersonic slit jet. The observed transitions together with the data observed previously in the N2O ν3 region are analyzed using a Watson S-reduced asymmetric rotor Hamiltonian. The rotational and centrifugal distortion constants for the ground and excited vibrational states are accurately determined. The band-origin of the spectrum is determined to be 1285.73964(14) cm−1. A restricted two-dimensional intermolecular potential energy surface for a planar structure of N2-N2O has been calculated at the CCSD(T) level of theory with the aug-cc-pVDZ basis sets and a set of mid-bond functions. With the intermolecular distance fixed at the ground state value = 3.6926 Å, the potential has a global minimum with a well depth of 326.64 cm−1 at θN2 = 11.0° and θN2O = 84.3° and has a saddle point with a barrier height of 204.61 cm−1 at θN2 = 97.4° and θN2O = 92.2°, where θN2(θN2O) is the enclosed angle between the N-N axis (N-N-O axis) and the intermolecular axis.  相似文献

We report on linewidth measurements on the J=24K,11−23K,10 and J=38K,33−37K,32 millimeter wave transitions in the ground vibrational state of nitric acid, located near 470.23 and 544.36 GHz, respectively. Experiments were performed with N2 and O2 as perturber molecules, in the 240-350 K temperature range by using a video-type spectrometer. The foreign-gas broadening parameters and their temperature dependence coefficients were determined using the Voigt profile, no narrowing effect being observed. In order to check the reliability of reported values, we carried out measurements on the J=14K,12−13K,11 transition located near 206.6 GHz, previously observed in two other laboratories. For this last line all the reported values are consistent themselves within one claimed standard deviation.  相似文献

The McMath-Pierce Fourier transform spectrometer located at the National Solar Observatory (NSO) on Kitt Peak, Arizona, was used to record infrared high resolution absorption spectra of CO2 spectra broadened by O2. These spectra were analyzed to measure O2-broadened half-width coefficients, O2-induced pressure-shift coefficients and speed dependent parameters for transitions in the 30013←00001 and 30012←00001 bands of 16O12C16O located near 6227 and 6348 cm−1, respectively. All spectra were obtained at room temperature using the long path, 6 m base path White cell available at NSO. A multispectrum nonlinear least-squares fitting algorithm employing Voigt line shapes modified to include line mixing and speed dependence was used to fit simultaneously a total of 19 spectra in the 6120-6280 cm−1 (30013←00001) and 6280-6395 cm−1 (30012←00001) spectral regions. 16 of the 19 spectra analyzed in this work were self broadened and three spectra were lean mixtures of CO2 in O2. The volume mixing ratios of CO2 in the three spectra varied between 0.06 and 0.1. Lorentz half-width and pressure-induced shift coefficients were measured for all transitions in the P(50)-R(50) range in both vibrational bands. The results obtained from present analysis have been compared with measurements available in the literature for self-, air-, oxygen- and argon-broadening. No significant differences were observed between the broadening and shift coefficients of the two bands. The N2-broadened half-width and pressure-shift coefficients were computed from measured air- and O2-broadened width and shift coefficients.  相似文献

Pressure-induced foreign-broadening lineshape parameters of the carbon dioxide rovibrational transitions belonging to the (30012)←(00001) overtone band near the 1.573 μm wavelength region are measured by using a tunable diode laser photoacoustic spectrometer. The spectroscopic analysis has concerned the first 11 lines of the R branch. For these lines, the air- and Ar-broadening coefficients are measured at room temperature (∼298 K). The measured broadening coefficients of all the transitions of 12C16O2 are compared with those given in the HITRAN04 database and former measurements with a different spectroscopic method. Agreements and discrepancies are underlined and briefly discussed. The recorded lineshapes are fitted with standard Voigt line profiles in order to determine the collisional broadening coefficient of carbon dioxide transitions.  相似文献

Line profiles of the J = 1-0 transition of the hydrogen chloride, H35Cl and H37Cl isotopomers, were measured with a BWO-based submillimeter-wave spectrometer at AIST in real form: three hyperfine transitions for each isotopomer, i.e., total six lines at 625 and 626 GHz. The effect of foreign gases on the broadening and shift was determined for N2, O2, and Ar. The modified Voigt function was applied as the line shape function for preliminary analysis, where the collisional-narrowing effect was clearly observed. In the final analysis, we applied the Galatry function and determined the integral intensity, line center position, Lorentzian width, and contraction parameter for each absorption line. The magnitudes of the foreign-gas pressure-broadening coefficients decrease in order of N2, O2, and Ar. The line-shift coefficients were clearly observed, the magnitudes of which decrease in order of Ar, O2, and N2. The pressure dependence of contraction parameter was determined, although with poor precision.  相似文献

N2-broadening coefficients have been measured for 41 transitions of PH3 at −100 °C in the QR branch of the ν2 band and the PP, RP, and SP branches of the ν4 band, using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer. The recorded lines with J values ranging from 1 to 13 and K from 0 to 10 are located between 1026 and 1093 cm−1. The collisional widths are determined by fitting each spectral line with a Voigt profile, a Rautian profile, and a speed-dependent Rautian profile. The latter models provide larger broadening coefficients than the Voigt model. These coefficients have also been calculated on the basis of a semiclassical model of interacting linear molecules by considering an atom-atom Lennard-Jones potential in addition to the electrostatic contributions. By comparing broadening coefficients at room and low temperatures, the temperature dependence of these broadenings has been determined both experimentally and theoretically.  相似文献

Using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer self-broadening coefficients and absolute intensities have been measured for 26 lines of PH3 at 298 K in the QR branch of the ν2 band and the PP and RP branches of the ν4 band. The recorded lines with J values ranging from 2 to 14 and K from 0 to 11 are located in the spectral range 995-1093 cm−1. Self-broadening coefficients have also been measured at 173.4 K for nine of these lines. The collisional widths and line strengths are obtained by fitting each spectral line with different theoretical profiles. The results obtained for the line intensities are in good agreement with recent measurements [J. Mol. Spectrosc. 215 (2002) 178]. The self-broadening coefficients are also calculated on the basis of a simple semiclassical model involving only the electrostatic interactions. A satisfactory agreement is obtained except for high J values or K values equal to J, for which the calculated results are notably underestimated. By comparing broadening coefficients at room and low temperatures, the temperature dependence of these broadenings has been determined both experimentally and theoretically.  相似文献

In this paper, we report measured Lorentz self-broadening and self-induced pressure-shift coefficients of 12CH3D in the ν2 fundamental band (ν0 ≈ 2200 cm−1). The multispectrum fitting technique allowed us to analyze simultaneously seven self-broadened absorption spectra. All spectra were recorded at the McMath-Pierce Fourier transform spectrometer of the National Solar Observatory (NSO) on Kitt Peak, AZ with an unapodized resolution of 0.0056 cm−1. Low-pressure (0.98-2.95 Torr) as well as high-pressure (17.5-303 Torr) spectra of 12C-enriched CH3D were recorded at room temperature to determine the pressure-broadening coefficients of 408 ν2 transitions with quantum numbers as high as J″ = 21 and K = 18, where K″ = K′ ≡ K (for a parallel band). The measured self-broadening coefficients range from 0.0349 to 0.0896 cm−1 atm−1 at 296 K. All the measured pressure-shifts are negative. The reported pressure-induced self-shift coefficients vary from about −0.004 to −0.008 cm−1 atm−1. On average, the empirical expressions reproduce the measured broadening coefficients to within 3.6%. A semiclassical theory based upon the Robert-Bonamy formalism of interacting linear molecules has been used to calculate these self-broadening and self-induced pressure-shift coefficients. In addition to the electrostatic interactions involving the octopole and hexadecapole moments of CH3D, the intermolecular potential includes also an atom-atom Lennard-Jones model. For low K (K ? 3) with |m| ? 8 the theoretical results of the broadening coefficients are in overall good agreement (3.0%) with the experimental data. For transitions with K approaching |m|, they are generally significantly underestimated (8.8%). The theoretical self-induced pressure shifts, whose vibrational contribution is derived from results in the QQ-branch, are generally smaller in magnitude than the experimental data in the QP-, and QR-branches (15.2%).  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the measurement of pressure shift and broadening parameters of water-vapor lines of the pure rotational transition 110-101 in the ground vibrational state of H216O at 556.936 GHz, H217O at 552.02 GHz, H218O at 547.676 GHz, and the vibrationally excited state v2=1 line of H216O at 658.003 GHz. The broadening coefficients of the line at 556.936 GHz (for N2 and O2 as perturbing gases) coincide within the errors with the values obtained recently by Seta et al. [Pressure broadening coefficients of the water vapor lines at 556.936 and 752.033 GHz. JQSRT 2008;109:144-50] by means of a very different technique (THz-TDS). Pressure shift and broadening for other lines were measured for the first time. Comparison of our results with previous measurements and theoretical calculations is presented.  相似文献

The N2-broadening coefficients of CH379Br and CH381Br have been calculated for transitions belonging to the PP-, PQ-, PR-, RP-, RQ- and RR-branches of the ν6 band near 10 μm, using a semiclassical impact theory. The intermolecular potential used, includes in addition to the overwhelming electrostatic interactions, induction and dispersion energy contributions, which are significant only for low J transitions with K approaching or equal to J. Comparisons have been performed with the extensive set of previous measurements at room temperature [4]. The theoretical results are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data, and the J and K dependences are reasonably well reproduced. From calculations at 200, 230, 260 and 296 K, the temperature exponent of the collisional broadenings derived from a simple power law has been determined for each transition of each sub-branch and compared with a recent experimental evaluation [5]. Finally the N2-broadening coefficients calculated at 296 K and their temperature exponents are given as supplementary materials of this paper for atmospheric applications and databases.  相似文献

This study provides the first direct experimental measurements of the off-diagonal relaxation matrix element coefficients for line mixing in air-broadened methane spectra for any vibrational band and the first off diagonal relaxation matrix elements associated with line mixing for pure methane in the ν2 + ν3 band of 12CH4. The speed-dependent Voigt profile with line mixing is used with a multispectrum nonlinear least squares curve fitting technique to retrieve the various line parameters from 11 self-broadened and 10 air-broadened spectra simultaneously. The room temperature spectra analyzed in this work are recorded at 0.011 cm−1 resolution with the McMath-Pierce Fourier transform spectrometer located at the National Solar Observatory, Kitt Peak, Arizona. The off-diagonal relaxation matrix element coefficients of ν2 + ν3 transitions between 4410 and 4629 cm−1 are reported for eighteen pairs with upper state J values between 2 and 11. The observed line mixing coefficients for self broadening vary from 0.0019 to 0.0390 cm−1 atm−1 at 296 K. The measured line mixing coefficients for air broadening vary from 0.0005 to 0.0205 cm−1 atm−1 at 296 K.  相似文献

N2-broadening coefficients have been measured for 41 lines of C2H4 at 173.2 K in the P, Q, and R branches of the ν7 fundamental band near 10 μm, using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer. These lines were individually fitted with a Voigt and a Rautian profile in order to determine their collisional widths. The resulting broadening coefficients, as well as those previously measured at room temperature for 35 transitions, are compared with values calculated on the basis of a semiclassical model of interacting linear molecules, using an atom-atom Lennard-Jones potential in addition to the electrostatic contributions. An overall satisfactory agreement is obtained for all the results at room and low temperatures. Finally the temperature dependence of the broadening coefficients has been determined through the temperature exponent n, experimentally for the 23 common transitions as well as theoretically for all the studied transitions.  相似文献

Precise N2, O2, H2, Ar, He, and self-broadenings and shifts have been obtained for Q- and R-branch transitions in the ν1 fundamental band of ammonia from simultaneous fits of low-noise, high-resolution difference-frequency laser spectra at pressures from 0.07 to 27 kPa (0.5-200 Torr). Observed lineshapes exhibit significant deviations from the conventional Voigt profile, which may be attributed to Dicke narrowing and/or speed-dependent broadening. At the higher pressures, line mixing is evident and must be included in the fits. For self-broadening, line mixing is dominated by collisional tunneling transitions, whereas for the non-polar buffers, rotational relaxation among selected K states is the primary mixing mechanism.  相似文献

Fe2O3/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by solid state reaction method using α-Fe2O3 and γ-Al2O3 nano powders. The microstructure and surface properties of the catalyst were studied using positron lifetime and coincidence Doppler broadening annihilation radiation measurements. The positron lifetime spectrum shows four components. The two long lifetimes τ3 and τ4 are attributed to positronium annihilation in two types of pores distributed inside Al2O3 grain and between the grains, respectively. With increasing Fe2O3 content from 3 wt% to 40 wt%, the lifetime τ3 keeps nearly unchanged, while the longest lifetime τ4 shows decrease from 96 ns to 64 ns. Its intensity decreases drastically from 24% to less than 8%. The Doppler broadening S parameter shows also a continuous decrease. Further analysis of the Doppler broadening spectra reveals a decrease in the p-Ps intensity with increasing Fe2O3 content, which rules out the possibility of spin-conversion of positronium. Therefore the decrease of τ4 is most probably due to the chemical quenching reaction of positronium with Fe ions on the surface of the large pores.  相似文献

Extensive experiments on the K = 3 component of the J = 12-11 rotational transition of acetonitrile CH3C14N, located near 220.7 GHz, were performed at different temperatures in the range 235-350 K. They allow determining the N2-, H2-, and He-broadening coefficients, as well as their temperature dependences. More specific measurements on all the K-components of the involved transition perturbed by N2 at 303 K allow to point out a clear decreasing of the broadening coefficient with increasing K. Narrowing effects are clearly observed, and experimental lines were analysed both with Voigt and speed dependent Voigt profiles; but no exhaustive lineshape study was carried out. All the experimental parameters are compared with results derived from a semiclassical calculation of collisional interactions, including electrostatic, induction, and dispersion energy contributions.  相似文献
