Based on the closed-orbit theory, the magnetic field effect in the photodetachment of negative ion in the electric field near a metal surface is studied for the first time. The results show that the magnetic field can produce a significant effect on the photodetachment of negative ion near a metal surface. Besides the closed orbits previously found by Du et al. for the H in the electric field near a metal surface (J. Phys. B 43 035002 (2010)), some additional closed orbits are produced due to the effect of magnetic field. For a given ion-surface distance and an electric field strength, the cross section depends sensitively on the magnetic field strength. As the magnetic field strength is very small, its influence can be neglected. With the increase of the magnetic field strength, the number of the closed orbits increases greatly and the oscillation in the cross section becomes much more complex. Therefore we can control the photodetachment cross section of the negative ion by changing the magnetic field strength. We hope that our results may guide future experimental studies for the photodetachment process of negative ion in the presence of external fields and surfaces.  相似文献

Properties and deformations of the rotating neutron stars in uniform strong magnetic field are calculated. The magnetic field will soften the equation of state of the neutron star matters and make an obvious effect on the structure of the rotating neutron star. If the magnetic field is superstrong (B=10^17 T), the mass, radius, and the deformation will become smaller effectively.  相似文献

The linewidth of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in a coated Rb vapor cell was studied under a magnetic field gradient. The nonlinear broadening of the EIT linewidth with the magnetic field gradient was observed. It was found that the motional averaging of the field gradient was more pronounced at higher laser intensities and larger beam sizes. In the same regime, there was a small linewidth decrease with the increasing magnetic field gradient. We have established a Monte-Carlo model, which gave results in good qualitative agreement with our experiment. Physics pictures for the above phenomena were also suggested. These results provide an understanding of the EIT linewidth behavior under the motional averaging, and should be useful for applications in quantum optics and metrology based on coated vapor cells.  相似文献

Effects of a charged impurity on the ground state of two vertically coupled identical single-electron quantum dots with and without applied magnetic field are investigated. In the absence of the magnetic field, the investigations of the charged impurity effect on the quantum entanglement (QE) in some low-lying states are carried out. It is found that, both the positive charged impurity (PCI) and the negative charged impurity (NCI)reduce the QE in the low-lying states under oonsideration except that the QE in the ground state is enhanced by the NCI. Additionally, in the domain of B from 0 Tesla to 15 Tesla, the ground state energy E, the ground state angular momentum L and the ground state QE entropy S are worked out. As far as the ground state are concerned, the PCI (NCI) blocks (induces) the angular momentum phase transition and the QE phase transition besides the known fact (i. e., the PCI/NCI decreases/increases the energy) in the magnetic field.  相似文献

Relativistic heavy-ion collisions can produce extremely strong magnetic fields in the collision regions.The spatial variation features of the magnetic fields are analyzed in detail for non-central Pb–Pb collisions at LHC at√s NN = 900, 2760 and 7000 Ge V and Au–Au collisions at RHIC at√s NN=62.4, 130 and 200 Ge V. The dependencies of magnetic field on proper time, collision energies and impact parameters are investigated in this paper. It is shown that an enormous and highly inhomogeneous spatial distribution magnetic field can indeed be created in off-centre relativistic heavy-ion collisions in RHIC and LHC energy regions. The enormous magnetic field is produced just after the collision, and the magnitude of magnetic field of the LHC energy region is larger than that of the RHIC energy region at small proper time. It is found that the magnetic field in the LHC energy region decreases more quickly with the increase of proper time than that of the RHIC energy region.  相似文献

The voltage controlled magnetic switching effect is verified experimentally. The Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert(LLG)equation is used to study the voltage controlled magnetic switching. It is found that the initial values of magnetic moment components are critical for the switching effect, which should satisfy a definite condition. The external magnetic field which affects only the oscillation period should be comparable to the internal magnetic field. If the external magnetic field is too small, the switching effect will disappear. The precessions of m_x and m_y are the best for the tilt angle of the external magnetic field θt = 0?, i.e., the field is perpendicular to the sample plane.  相似文献

Taking the decoherence effect into account, the entanglement evolution of a two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XYZ chain in the presence of inhomogeneous magnetic field is investigated. The time evolution of concurrence is studied for the initial state cos θ|01) + sin θ|10) at zero temperature. The influences of inhomogeneous magnetic field, anisotropic parameter and decoherence on entanglement dynamic are addressed in detail, and a concurrence formula of the steady state is found. It is shown that the entanglement sudden death (ESD) and entanglement sudden birth (ESB) appear with the decoherence effect, and the stable concurrence depends on the uniform magnetic field B, anisotropic parameter △ and environment coupling strength γ, which is independent of different initial states and nonuniform magnetic field b.  相似文献

We report on the experimental spectral observations of barium in parallel electric and magnetic fields. The laser pulse is linearly polarized along or perpendicular to the fields, leading to the states m = 0 and the states m = -t-1 populated, respectively, by one photon excitation. By sweeping the electric field, we observe the linear and nonlinear splitting of the diamagnetic spectrum as the electric field increases. The spectral anticrossing is induced by the atomic core effect. The Stark spectrum also shows an obvious nonlinear quadratic behavior when the applied magnetic field varies strongly. All spectra are well explained by the full quantum calculation after taking the quantum defect effects of the channel ns up to nf into account.  相似文献

The exchange interaction between the electrons in the different magnetic ions and the spin-fluctuation of the magnetic ions exist in the paramagnetic media NdF3. The exchange interaction between the electrons in the different magnetic ions may be equivalent to an effective field Hin that is in direct proportion to the magnetization M. The spin-fluctuation of the magnetic ions leads the coefficient of the effective field to vary with temperature. The effective field is given as Hin = -(0.75 + 0.22T) × 10^-5M in NdF3. When the secondary crystal field effect is taken into account, the magnetic susceptibility and Verdet constant are calculated for NdF3 by means of the effective field Hin and the applied field He. The calculated results are in agreement with the measured ones.  相似文献

We study cosmological application of interacting holographic dark energy density in the scalar Gauss-Bonnet framework. We employ the interacting holographic model of dark energy to obtain the equation of state for the interacting holographic energy density in a spatially fiat universe. Our calculations show that taking Ω∧ = 0.73 for the present time, it is possible to have w∧^eff crossing -1. This implies that one can generate a phantom-like equation of state from the interacting holographic dark energy model in flat universe in the scalar Gauss-Bonnet cosmology framework. Then we reconstruct the potential of the scalar field.  相似文献

We investigate the photovoltaic properties of hybrid organ/c solar cell based on the blend of poly[2-methoxy-5-(2- ethylhexoxy-l,4-phenylenevinylene) (MEH-PPV), C60 and titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanotubes. In comparison of the composite devices with different TiO2:[MEH-PPV +C60] weight ratios of lw$.% (D1-1), 2wt.% (D1-2), 3wt.% (D1-3), 5wt.% (D1-4), 10wt.% (D1-5) and 20wt.% (D1-6), it is found that the device Dl-a exhibits the best performance. The conversion efficiency is improved by a factor of 3 compared with the MEH-PPV:C60 device.  相似文献

The influence of the nonlinearity of electrodynamic loudspeakers on the performance of thermoacoustic refrigerators with the loudspeakers as acoustic sources is studied by nonlinear equivalent circuit models of electrodynamic loudspeakers driven by current and voltage. The simulated results demonstrate that there are different nonlinear effects between current-drive and voltage-drive refrigerators, and the differences are mainly induced by the motional electromotive force caused by the coil moving in the magnetic field. With voltage driving, the influence of the nonlinearity of the loudspeaker on the diaphragm displacement and acoustic output power is much smaller than that with current driving. Therefore, considering the nonlinearity of the loudspeakers, a proper driving method must be chosen according to the practical applications although little difference is found with the linear models.  相似文献

The dynamic Stark effect of the spectral lines Hβ and of the neutral helium lines λ=402.6 nm (23 P 0−53 D) and λ=438.8 nm (21 P 0−51 D) emitted from a discharge tube was used for probing rf electric fields in a transverse waveguide. Calculations accounting for the pertubation of the atomic states by strong unidirectional fields prove to be suitable in order to interprete the main experimental results. If the waveguide is terminated with a metallic reflector and the plasma in the discharge tube becomes overdense—then representing a slightly permeable mirror—a resonant enhancement of the electric field strength may be achieved by tuning. This enhancement is well recognizable in the spectral line contours.  相似文献

A stationary substrate can suspend only small pendant drops even with excellent wetting ability because of gravity. We report the suspension of large pendant water drops by a copper substrate that vibrates ultrasonically with a frequency of 22 kHz. The mass of the largest pendant drop suspended by the vibrating substrate reaches 1.1 g, which is 9 times that by the same stationary substrate. The pendant drop deforms drasticaJly and quickly at both the beginning and the end of the vibration procedure. As the vibration power increases, the contact area between the drop and substrate expands and the drop height shrinks accordingly. Theoretical analysis indicates that the Bernoulli pressure induced by ultrasonic vibration may contribute strongly to enhancing the suspensibility of pendant drops.  相似文献

The equation of state (EOS) and the axial ratio c/a of ε-Fe at high pressures are investigated by using the gen- eralized gradient approximation (GGA) within the plane-wave pseudopotential density functional theory (DFT). The results show that at the lower pressure, the EOS of ferromagnetic ε-Fe is consistent with the experimental result. While at higher pressure, the EOS of the nonmagnetic ε-Fe is in good agreement with the experimental result. Meanwhile, we find an obvious increase of the axial ratio c/a with pressure, and there is only a small increase with increasing temperature at high pressure.  相似文献

Superradiant transitions were observed between high lying levels in Sr. The transitions react very sensitively to an external electric field. Superradiant cascades or one transition in a superradiant branching can be suppressed. The square root of the high of a superradiant pulse decreases with the second power of the electric field strength. Deflection of a cold supersonic NO beam seeded in He has been observed when these molecules interact with both static and a resonant oscillating electric field. The NO beam splits into two beams each one deflecting about 0.5° towards the positive and negative direction of the Stark field when the employed resonant frequency between the two Stark levels of the NO molecule is 1515 kHz. This deflection angle is about four orders of magnitude higher than the value one would expect from the NO dipole moment and the employed RF field gradient. This phenomenon suggests the possibility of a significant translational motion perpendicular to the beam axis, which is induced by the resonant RF electric field on the cold and high-density supersonic beam.  相似文献
