The liquid nitrogen's explosive boiling characteristics under transient high heat flux have attracted increasing attentions of researchers over the world due to its wide applications. Although some experiments have been performed, the process and the characteristics at the initial stage, especially within 1 ~s, have not been described reasonably yet. Based on the related experiments and theoretical analysis, a novel kinetic model combined with quasi-fluid idea is presented to analyse the characteristics of liquid nitrogen's explosive boiling at the initial stage. The results indicate that the model can appropriately describe the liquid nitrogen's explosive boiling. The behaviour and the heat transfer characteristics of a single bubble are very different from those of the bubble cluster, thus the behaviour of individual bubbles could not be directly applied to describe the explosive boiling process at the initial stage.  相似文献

In this paper the echo structure of short pulse from finite solid elastic circular cylinder is investigated.Itis emphasized that in the case of oblique incidence the echoes still include two kinds of scattering wave:(1).Geometrical scattering waves,namely corner waves.(2).Elastic scattering waves,i.e.waves related with theelasticity of cylinder.The geometrical scattering waves are the waves reflected form the discontinuities ofcylinder,and essentially independent of the material of cylind.Using Kirchhoff approximation therepresentation of corner waves from rigid cylinder has been derived.In the case of oblique incidence theelastic scattering waves differ from the circumferential waves for an infinite cylinder.Two sorts of echoescaused by the reradiation of elastic surface wave have been obeerved in experiments;the radial surfacebackscattering wave and the longitudinal surface backscattering wave,They can be identified according to the arriving time and appearing angle,and the results of a comparable obse  相似文献

In this paper both numerical and experimental investigations have been carried out to suppress the vortex-induced vibration (VIV) of a circular cylinder in an electrically low-conducting fluid. The electromagnetic forces (Lorentz forces) in the azimuthal direction were generated through the mounted electrodes and magnets locally on the surface of the cylinder, which have been proved having an accelerating effect to the fluid on the surface of the cylinder. Results of computations are presented for synchronous vibration phenomenon of a cylinder at Re=200, which are in good agreement with previous computational results. With the Lorentz forces loaded, the VIV of the cylinder has been suppressed successfully. Experimental results have also shown the same tendency and are in reasonable agreement with the numerical results.  相似文献

Transmission beam can be modulated at the liquid–liquid interface inside an electrowetting liquid lens. The fluctuation characteristics of the interface has a decisive effect on the beam modulation. A closed cylinder in capillary constant scale is analyzed and the natural frequencies of a flat interface are obtained using capillary wave hydrodynamics. Results in modes0 and 1 are in good agreement with previous experiments in the literature. The influences of the radius, the height ratio and the height-to-diameter ratio of a liquid lens on the interface eigenfrequencies are analyzed.  相似文献

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) radio occultation measurements have been assimilated into the four- dimensional variational data assimilation system (YH4DVAR) using a one-dimensional bending angle operator (GBAO) as a new type of observation. For the sake of verifying the impact of GNSS radio occultation (RO) measurements to the data assimilation system, three experiments have been conducted. The statistical results of the analysis error experiment and forecast skill experiment show that the GNSS RO measurements have an impact on the analysis system. The typhoon forecast experiment shows the impact on the important weather process. They all have a positive impact on the weather forecast. Lastly, we look forward to future work on the observation system simulation experiment (OSSE) to investigate the impact of GNSS RO measurements as a function of observation number, which is an effective method to estimate the saturation of the observation number.  相似文献

Control and optimization of the plasma current profile is a key point in enhancing the plasma performance. Although several tools have been identified to modify transport directly, the effect of the current profile on transport is large and remains an important transport control feature. In the tokamak experiments it is demonstrated that the configuration with flat q-profile in the central plasma region is beneficial to improve plasma confinement. Discharges with internal transport barrier (ITB) have been established with low magnetic shear (so called optimized shear operation mode) in JET and ASDEX Upgrade.  相似文献

The research on geoneutrinos is a new interdisciplinary subject involving particle experiments and geo-science.Potassium-40(40K)decays contribute roughly to 1/3 of the radiogenic heat of the Earth,which is not yet accounted for by experimental observation.Solar neutrino experiments with liquid scintillators have observed uranium and thorium geoneutrinos and are the most promising experiments with regard to low-background neutrino detection.In this study,we present the new concept of using liquid-scintillator Cherenkov detectors to detect the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process of 40K geoneutrinos.Liquid-scintillator Cherenkov detectors using a slow liquid scintillator achieve this goal with both energy and direction measurements for charged particles.Given the directionality,we can significantly suppress the dominant intrinsic background originating from solar neutrinos in conventional liquid-scintillator detectors.We simulated the solar-and geo-neutrino scatterings in the slow liquid scintillator detector,and implemented energy and directional reconstructions for the recoiling electrons.We found that 40K geoneutrinos can be detected with three-standard-deviation accuracy in a kiloton-scale detector.  相似文献

Guided elastic waves have a great potential in pipe inspection as an efficient and low-cost nondestructive evaluation (NDE) technique, among which the wave of mode L(0, 2) receives a lot of attention because this mode is the fastest mode in a weakly dispersive region of frequency to minimize dispersion effects over a long distance and sensitive to the defects distributed circumferentially. Though many experimental and numerical researches have already been carried out about the excitation of L(0, 2) and its interaction with the defect in a hollow cylinder, its excitation mechanism has not been clarified yet. In this paper based on the transient response solution of the hollow cylinder, derived by the method of eigenfunction expansion, the theory about the exciting mechanism of mode L(0, 2) is advanced and the effects of the spatial distribution, vibration frequency and direction of the external force on the excitation are discussed. And the pure mode L(0, 2) is excited successfully under the parameters obtained through theoretical analysis. Furthermore, its interactions with some kinds of defects in hollow cylinders are simulated with the method of finite element analysis (FEA) and the results agree well with those obtained by other researchers.  相似文献

The self-consistent fluid variational model (SFVM) has been used to describe the pressure dissociation of dense hydrogen at high temperatures. This paper focuses on a mixture of hydrogen atoms and molecules and is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of pressure dissociation at finite temperatures. The equation of state and dissociation degree have been calculated from the free energy functions in the range of temperature 2000-10,000K and density 0.02-1.0g/cm^3, which can be compared with other approaches and experiments. The pressure dissociation is found to occur in higher density range, while temperature dissociation is a more gradual effect.  相似文献
