Amplification of femtosecond pulses at 1.56 microm based on noncollinear parametric chirped pulse amplification in a potassium titanyl arsenate (KTA) crystal with pumping at 1.05 microm is reported. The 100 fs pulses of an erbium fiber laser are parametrically amplified while synchronously pumped by an amplified mode-locked Nd:YLF laser. This amplifier has a saturated gain of 65 dB with 30% conversion efficiency and has produced 160 fs pulses with peak powers of up to 0.75 GW. The system produced 380 mW before compression and can be readily scaled to the multiwatt range with bandwidths to support sub-100 fs pulses.  相似文献

在考虑侈阶和高阶色散的情况下,给出了啁啾高斯光脉冲被啁啾光纤光栅反射后在光纤中传输时脉冲展宽的解析析式,。讨论了啁啾光栅脉减压缩和色散补偿中的几个重要问题。以线性啁啾光纤光栅为实例进行了数值计算,发现了脉冲殿宽的对称性质,最后提出一种新颖的可用于估算脉冲受光纤光栅作用后脉宽展宽的简单办法。  相似文献

When femtosecond laser pulses interfere with chirped femtosecond laser pulses in As2S3 fiber, a chirped fiber grating is formed. An analytical expression is given to describe the chirped grating, and its Bragg reflectivity is calculated. Because of the high photosensitive effect of As2S3 material, the chirped fiber grating has a wide Bragg reflective spectrum and high reflectivity by choosing proper parameters. This indicates that the chirped fiber grating can be used as a stretcher in the femtosecond chirped pulse amplification (CPA) system.  相似文献

We propose a simple and flexible multiwavelength Raman fiber laser based on phase-shifted fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) and a tunable chirped FBG. Using a simple multiwavelength Raman laser configuration with a single phase-shifted FBG and a tunable chirped FBG, we readily achieved simultaneous two-channel sensing probes with a high extinction ratio of more than 50 dB over a 50-km distance. The multiwavelength output was stable and the peak fluctuation was less than 0.5 dB. The temperature and strain sensitivities are estimated to be 10.1 pm/degrees C and 7.5 pm/microstrain, respectively.  相似文献

The design and fabrication of chirped Moiré fiber Bragg gratings (CMGs) are presented, which can be used in either (1) transmission as passband filters for providing wavelength selectivity in wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) systems or (2) reflection as encoding/decoding elements to decompose short broadband pulses in both wavelength and time in order to implement an optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) system. In transmission, the fabricated CMGs have single or multiple flattened passbands (< 0.5 dB ripple) and exhibit > 12 dB isolation and near constant in-band group delay. It is shown that these filters do not produce any measurable dispersion-induced power penalties when used to provide wavelength selectivity in 2.5 Gbit/s systems. It is also demonstrated how CMGs can be used in reflection to encode/decode short pulses from a wavelength-tunable mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser.  相似文献

We report femtosecond pulse generation and chirped pulse amplification in Tm:fiber. A mode-locked oscillator operating in the soliton regime produced 800 fs pulses with 5 nm spectral bandwidth, at 40 pJ pulse energy. This oscillator seeded a pre-amplifier that utilizes a Raman soliton self-frequency shift to produce wavelength tunable pulses with 3 nJ energy, reduced pulse duration of 150 fs, and increased bandwidth of 30 nm. For further amplification, the pulses were stretched up to 160 ps using a chirped Bragg grating (CBG). Stretched pulses were amplified to 85 nJ after compression in single-mode Tm:fiber and recompressed with the CBG as short as 400 fs. Compressed pulses were coupled into a highly nonlinear tellurite fiber to investigate the potential of this ultrashort pulse 2-μm fiber source as a pump for mid-IR supercontinuum generation.  相似文献

We report on nonlinear pulse compression at very high average power. A high-power fiber chirped pulse amplification system based on a novel large pitch photonic crystal fiber delivers 700 fs pulses with 200 μJ pulse energy at a 1 MHz repetition rate, resulting in 200 W of average power. Subsequent spectral broadening in a xenon-filled hollow-core fiber and pulse compression with chirped mirrors is employed for pulse shortening and peak power enhancement. For the first time, to our knowledge, more than 100 W of average power are transmitted through a noble-gas-filled hollow fiber. After pulse compression of 81 fs, 93 μJ pulses are obtained at a 1 MHz repetition rate.  相似文献

报道了一种利用100 ps啁啾脉冲堆积产生2.2 ns任意整形脉冲的脉冲整形系统。采用掺Yb~(3 )光纤锁模振荡器得到稳定的锁模光脉冲序列,将该锁模脉冲通过啁啾光纤光栅展宽并通过1 nm带宽的高斯形光谱滤波器滤波,得到标准的100 ps高斯形啁啾脉冲序列,将此脉冲选单经过光纤延迟线组成的32路脉冲堆积器,得到了精度为32 bit的重复频率为1 Hz的2.2 ns任意整形光脉冲。研究了堆积脉冲的特性,分析了宽带啁啾堆积整形脉冲的光谱时间扫描特性对激光驱动惯性约束聚变打靶束匀滑的优化作用。实验测得了该系统输出的2.2 ns整形光脉冲具有小于50 ps的上升沿,与100 ps啁啾脉冲的时间抖动小于4 ps。  相似文献

理论研究并实验验证了一种含有两段π相移的啁啾相移光纤光栅.采用F矩阵对啁啾相移光纤光栅进行计算并分析了该光栅的谱特性.含有两段π相移的啁啾相移光纤光栅可以在普通啁啾光栅透射谱阻带中产生双波长透射峰,透射峰位置直接取决于光栅中π相移的位置,透射峰的线宽和透射峰的波长间隔没有关系,仅随着啁啾率的增大而增大.采用带相位掩模的逐点扫描法对含有两段π相移的双波长啁啾相移光栅进行了制作,获得波长间隔为8 nm的双波长透射谱的光栅器件.该光栅的消光比和3 dB谱线宽分别为20 dB和0.08 nm,实验结果和理论设计一致.  相似文献

Delivery of sub-20-fs pulses through 80 cm of a chirped photonic crystal fiber with chirped-mirror precompensation is experimentally demonstrated. The pulses out of the fiber are within 15% of the bandwidth limit and exhibit a pulse energy of 1 nJ. Peak powers amount to 50 kW directly out of the fiber. Measurements indicate a good pulse contrast with little satellite content. The combination of a specially designed hollow fiber with chirped mirrors sets a new record for the pulse durations directly delivered through a fiber.  相似文献

报道了高平均功率的线偏振啁啾脉冲放大系统。该系统包括全光纤结构的多级放大器以及透射光栅脉冲压缩器。压缩前,实现了近衍射极限光束输出,平均功率425 W,光光效率81%,消光比约13dB;压缩后,获得了平均功率300 W、脉宽315fs、峰值功率12 MW的激光脉冲,为目前报道的最高平均功率的线偏振光纤啁啾脉冲放大系统。  相似文献

本文利用化学气相沉积法高温分解甲烷在铜箔上制得单层石墨烯薄膜, 测量了石墨烯的拉曼光谱. 将石墨烯薄膜逐层转移到光纤跳线的氧化锆插芯端面上做成可饱和吸收材料, 实验研究了环形腔掺铒光纤脉冲激光器的输出特性, 获得了峰值波长为1560.1 nm, 3 dB带宽为0.27 nm, 重复频率为7.69 MHz, 脉冲宽度为58.8 ps 的锁模脉冲序列. 时间带宽积为1.98, 表明脉冲出现了啁啾. 最后, 通过改变两个光纤活动接头之间的空气腔的长度, 激光波长实现了4 nm的调谐. 关键词: 光纤激光器 石墨烯 锁模  相似文献

We report on the generation of 27 fs pulses with an average output power of 57 W and a repetition rate of 78 MHz. The pulses are generated by combining a high average power fiber chirped pulse amplification (FCPA) system with a microstructured large-mode-area fiber for nonlinear compression. The FCPA system delivers 270 fs pulses in a linearly polarized beam with diffraction-limited quality. Nonlinear compression is achieved by launching the pulses into a short (few cm) piece of microstructured fiber and subsequent compression by a pair of chirped mirrors. We demonstrate the use of an aperiodic quasi-phase-matching (QPM) grating to generate second-harmonic pulses that are stretched or compressed relative to input pulses at the fundamental frequency. We frequency doubled an externally chirped erbium-doped fiber laser generating 17-ps (FWHM) pulses at 1560nm to produce near-transform-limited 110-fs (FWHM) pulses at 780nm by use of a 5-cm-long lithium niobate crystal poled with a QPM grating chirped from an 18.2- to a 19.8-microm period.  相似文献

Motivated by the pulse compression challenge of novel long-cavity, high-pulse-energy Ti:sapphire laser oscillators, we report on ~280 nm supercontinuum generation and 4.5-times compression of close to transform limited, high-energy oscillator pulses using different large-mode-area photonic crystal fibers and standard chirped mirrors. As input, we used pulses of a long-cavity Ti:sapphire oscillator with 190 nJ pulse energy, 70 fs pulse length and 3.6 MHz repetition rate. Compressed pulses at the fiber/compressor output had a duration of 15–18 fs with up to 100 nJ pulse energy representing as much as 53 % throughput for the fiber/chirped mirror system. Using transform-limited input pulses, we could use short fiber pieces and thus a simple, low-dispersion chirped mirror compressor comprised of one pair of mirrors.  相似文献

We report the generation of self-similar highly stable femtosecond pulses from an ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber laser. Positively chirped parabolic pulses with 6.4-ps duration and more than 3.2-nJ energy are obtained. These pulses are extra-cavity compressed to 140 fs. We demonstrate an ultrashort all-fiber-integrated chirped-pulse amplification system yielding 1-ps pulses with 20 kW of peak power. 40-ps initial pulses generated by an externally modulated laser diode are chirped by self-phase modulation in a conventional fiber, amplified, and compressed in 110 m of air-core photonic bandgap fiber. The compressed pulses are frequency doubled in a periodically poled KTP crystal with up to 48% efficiency and applied to supercontinuum generation in a holey fiber, resulting in a high-power uniform continuum that stretches from 430 to 1450 nm.  相似文献

We theoretically demonstrate and experimentally confirm the major influence of gain dynamics on soliton molecules that self-assemble in mode-locked lasers. Both slow gain recovery and depletion play a pivotal role in the formation of chirped soliton molecules characterized by an increasing separation from leading to trailing pulses. These chirped molecules actually consist of many pulses and may be termed macromolecules. They are experimentally observed in a fiber laser and numerically modeled by an approach that properly includes the slow gain dynamics. Furthermore, it is shown that these processes stabilize soliton trains in fiber lasers by inhibiting internal oscillations.  相似文献
