设计了一种基于光学偏置并以有机聚合物PMMA/DRI作为光波导材料的新型Mach-Zehdner调制器。利用有效折射率法(EIM),分析了脊波导的有效折射率随脊波导结构参数变化情况,包括脊宽训、脊高b和芯层厚度d,以及上下包层厚度。采用微带线单电极调制方式结合脊波导的结构设计,实现了微波和光波的速率匹配。针对优化的结构参数,采用BPM方法进行光场和功率传输的模拟仿真,完成了非等臂Math—Zehnder调制器的结构设计,实现了两臂89.84。的初始相位差,消光比约为27dB。  相似文献

基于电光聚合物,提出了一种结构简单,尺寸小,效率高的表面等离激元(SPP)调制器.该调制器采用M-Z干涉仪结构的金属波导,金属周围是均匀极化后的电光聚合物,通过在金属波导两臂间加电压对聚合物折射率进行调制,折射率调制再通过M-Z干涉仪结构转化为对金属波导中SPP强度的调制. 通过求解金属波导附近的电场分布,并结合SPP场分布的特点,在理论上说明了这种结构可以通过外加电压有效地调制金属波导输出端SPP的强度,调制所需的半波电压约为2.8V. 关键词: 表面等离激元 电光调制 电光聚合物  相似文献

基于双棱镜耦合m线技术提出了一种新型的平面波导强度调制器。由于质子交换平面波导的导波层在加上电场后折射率发生变化,从而引起棱镜耦合输出的m线强度的变化,实现电光调制。讨论了电极间隙宽度和导波层吸收对器件性能的影响。与其他类型强度调制器相比,这种调制器具有简单的电极结构,而且调制带宽可达40GHz以上。  相似文献

提出一种异质集成型薄膜铌酸锂电光调制器,由底部氮化硅波导、中间BCB黏合层、顶部铌酸锂薄膜构成调制区波导结构,调制电极位于铌酸锂薄膜的上部且二者之间填充了低折射率的SiO2,以利于实现折射率匹配并降低光损耗、微波损耗。进一步利用马赫-曾德尔干涉仪结构,设计了相应的电光调制器,并提出一种倒台阶型薄膜结构,该结构可实现输入、输出波导与调制区波导的高效耦合。对该电光调制器进行行波高速匹配设计,所得器件的半波电压长度积为1.77 V·cm,3 dB调制带宽为140 GHz,且调制区长度仅为5 mm。所提器件结构有望在大带宽薄膜铌酸锂电光调制器设计中发挥优势,助力薄膜铌酸锂光子集成器件的快速发展。  相似文献

针对基于马赫-曾德干涉仪结构的硅基光调制器中非线性电光响应的问题,采用包含PN结非线性调制损耗和非线性折射率变化的模型,通过数值仿真方法,研究了上下两臂对称和不对称两种情况下,调制损耗对硅基光调制器非线性的影响.对比考虑调制损耗和忽略调制损耗的模型,发现在常规大信号情况下,当光调制器偏置相位为0时,调制损耗使得三次谐波增强,四次谐波减弱;当光调制器偏置相位为π/2时,调制损耗使得二次和四次谐波增强;而在小信号情况下,三次和四次等高次谐波不明显,在光调制器偏置相位为0时,调制损耗在光调制器上下两臂不对称情况下增加了基频分量串扰;在光调制器偏置相位为π/2时,调制损耗的影响主要表现为增加了二次谐波分量.  相似文献

设计了一种以聚合物作为材料的低损耗、宽带宽的Mach—Zehnder光波导调制器。分析了调制器的脊波导的模式特性,设计了脊波导的结构,并使用BPM软件模拟了脊形波导的光场分布;通过对光场分布的分析,优化了脊形波导的宽度Wg,脊高6,芯层高度H。同时对聚合物调制器的电极进行了优化,包括电极宽度W和电极间距D,使得调制器有较小的导体损耗以及较好的阻抗匹配。并结合了脊波导的结构参数和电极的优化参数,给出了优化结果,它能够使微波的有效折射率与光波的有效折射率达到匹配,从而使带宽达到177GHz,导体损耗为0.2569dB/cm·GHz1/2。  相似文献

利用声光相互作用所引起的光衍射现象,观测了叉指换能器在石英晶体上激发的各种声波及其倒速度图。着重研究了z-切割石英晶体表面、沿y方向激发表面声波的叉指换能器在这个样品上激发的各种表面声波和体声波。对观察到的不同于瑞利波形式的表面声波进行了探讨,并说明这类波的特性值得进一步研究。  相似文献

针对硅基单端推挽调制器的pn结结电容大、调制效率低的问题,设计出一种基于异型掺杂和槽波导结构的硅基调制器。通过槽波导结构和L型掺杂增大了耗尽区与光场相互作用,与传统脊波导相比,在相同调制效率下,槽波导的结电容降低了24%,带宽提高了32%。采用T型轨道的电极实现阻抗和折射率的匹配,4 V偏压下调制带宽达到42 GHz,实现了峰峰值电压Vpp=2 V驱动下70 Gbit/s的OOK信号调制,眼图消光比达5.2 dB。  相似文献

针对实际应用中大多的光调制器只能实现单参数调制的情况,提出一种既可以调相又可以调幅的声光调制器的设计方案.运用矩阵级数解法求解正常声光相互作用Raman-Nath方程,通过计算机编程进行数值求解,得到衍射光的衍射光强和附加位相变化,从而指出以往解法的一些不合理性,并找到声波功率和衍射光的光强和位相的关系,为声光效应的位相调制和振幅调制设计提供了一种可行的方法.结合调制声波频率,可在同一个调制器上进行调幅、调相、调偏转方向.  相似文献

本文首先以刚度矩阵法为基础, 给出了ZnO薄膜/金刚石在四种不同激励条件下的有效介电常数计算公式. 然后以此为工具, 分别计算了多晶ZnO(002) 薄膜/多晶金刚石和单晶ZnO(002) 薄膜/多晶金刚石的声表面波特性, 并根据计算结果及设计制作声表面波器件的要求, 对ZnO膜厚的选择进行了详细地分析. 最后讨论了ZnO/金刚石/Si复合晶片可以忽略Si衬底对声表面特性影响时对金刚石膜厚的要求. 关键词: 声表面波 压电多层结构 有效介电常数 刚度矩阵法  相似文献

A new measurement method of chirp-parameters is proposed for electro-optic (EO) intensity modulators with the Mach-Zehnder (MZ) waveguide interferometer. This method is suitably applied for the measurement of the small chirp with operation at a specific RF-frequency. To determine the chirp-parameter, optical spectrum components of the modulated light are observed with varying the relative optical phase difference between the two arms of the MZ waveguide interferometer. The chirp-parameter of 0.17, which is a value small enough for EO intensity modulation, was successfully measured by the experiment.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel all-optical switch based on multi-mode interference (MMI) and Mach–Zehnder (MZ) using self-imaging principle and optical Kerr effect of organic polymer material. A branch waveguide is inserted into one of Mach–Zehnder interferometer arms, where the controlling beam is introduced. The device with a core of azo polymer is simulated by the beam propagation method (BPM). The result shows that, the bent branch waveguide of 2 μm width is inserted in MZ interferometer arm at 100 μm has the minimal impact on the original waveguide. And a good light switching function is achieved via controlling light intensity of 4 mW.  相似文献

A design of the two-beam hybrid microwave interferometer for measuring refractive indices of metamaterials is described. It is based on the branching of radiation using a waveguide directional coupler. Radiations of the interferometer waveguide arms are summed and the phase disbalance of the interferometer arms is counted on the waveguide measuring line. The frequency dispersion of the negative refractive indices of the metamaterial samples with a variable distance between its constituent plates is experimentally investigated. A possibility of controlling the refractive index of a metamaterial is demonstrated.  相似文献

针对SiO2光波导声光布拉格器件,计算了SiO2非对称平板波导TE模式的横向场分布;给出了SiO2/ZnO/Air层状介质结构的性能方程、运动方程和麦克斯韦方程,推导出这种层状结构的特征方程,并结合所满足的边界条件,得到了各层介质的位移及电磁场分布;计算了声表面波所引起的光学相对介质隔离率张量的变化,最后讨论了声光衍射效率和光场与声场的重叠积分、声功率、声频率、声孔径和光波导参数之间的关系。结果表明,在低频范围内光场与声表面波场重叠良好;低阶模的重叠积分始终大于高阶模重叠积分,最低阶模与声表面波相互作用最强,所需声功率最小;当声功率一定时,增加声孔径可以提高衍射效率。  相似文献

Two-dimensional scanning of a 0.6328 mum guided-light beam has been realized using noncolinear acousto-optic (AO) coplanar Bragg diffraction together with colinear AO guided-mode to substrate radiation-mode conversion in a Z-cut Xpropagation LiNbO3 proton-exchanged (PE) waveguide. The two surface acoustic (SAW) waves utilized are at the center frequencies of 500 and 200 MHz, propagating in the Y and X axes, respectively. Two-dimensional scanning of approximately 720 resolvable light beam spots, namely, 18 40 (horizontal vertical) scanning, has been demonstrated using a light beam of 1.0 mm aperture. The total number of resolvable beam spots can be greatly increased from 720 by simply utilizing SAW transducers of larger bandwidth and a light beam of greater aperture. It should also be possible to significantly increase the diffraction efficiency from 3 % by optimizing the parameters of the PE waveguide and the SAWs.  相似文献

The acousto-optic interaction with leaky surface acoustic wave radiation into the bulk of YX-cut LiTaO3 crystals has been investigated. The light incidence and diffraction angles corresponding to the strongest acousto-optic interaction were calculated and measured as functions of the acoustic wave frequency. The dependencies of the diffracted light intensity on the amplitude of radio-frequency voltage applied to the interdigital transducer (IDT) were studied. Our acousto-optic measurements revealed generation, by the IDTs, of slow shear bulk acoustic waves propagating at different angles depending on their frequency. A secondary acousto-optic interaction from the bulk waves radiated by the receiving IDT has been studied.  相似文献
