The method of extended crossing beams was used to study inelastic collisions of slow electrons with LaBr3 molecules. Dissociative excitation caused the appearance of spectral lines of the singly charged lanthanum ion. 38 dissociative excitation cross sections of LaII spectral lines (upper singlet levels) were studied at a 100 eV exciting electron energy. Three optical excitation functions were recorded over the electron energy range 0–100 eV. The cross sections obtained are compared with the data on dissociative excitation cross sections of the LaCl3 molecule.  相似文献

The excitation of singlet levels of the singly charged scandium ion is experimentally studied in collisions of slow electrons with scandium atoms. At the exciting electron energy of 30 eV, 59 excitation cross sections are measured. In the electron energy range of 0–200 eV, seven optical excitation functions are recorded. On the basis of these data the total excitation cross sections are calculated for 11 even and 9 odd levels of Sc II, as well as the contribution of cascade population to 8 even and 7 odd levels.  相似文献

Dissociative excitation of the lead atom in e-PbI2 collisions has been studied experimentally. 27 excitation cross sections were measured for an energy of the exciting electrons equal to 100 eV. Nine optical excitation functions were recorded with variation of the electron energy in the range 0–100 eV. Inelastic collisions of electrons with manganese dibromide molecules were studied by the method of extended crossing beams. These collisions cause the formation of excited manganese atoms in doublet and sextet states. At an exciting electron energy of 100 eV, 52 dissociative excitation cross sections were measured. At electron energies 0–100 eV, three optical excitation functions were recorded. The ratio between excitation cross sections in electron-molecular and electron-atomic collisions is considered.  相似文献

The electron-impact excitation of even levels of Tm II from the ground level of the thulium atom is studied by the method of extended crossing beams with recording the optical emission of excited ions. At the exciting electron energy of 50 eV, 54 excitation cross sections are measured. In the electron energy range of 0–200 eV, 12 excitation optical functions are recorded. At the exciting electron energy of 100 eV, the excitation cross sections for 28 and 12 transitions, respectively, from doublet and octet states of manganese atom are measured. Excitation of gallium atom in collisions with slow electrons is studied using the method of extended crossing beams with recording of the optical signal of excited atoms. At an electron energy of 30 eV, 66 excitation cross sections are measured. In the electron energy range of 0–200 eV, 24 excitation optical functions are recorded. The dependence of the cross sections on the principal quantum number of an upper level is obtained for eight spectral series of Ga I. The cross sections of dissociative excitation of 46 transitions from cobalt atom even sextet levels in collisions of electrons with CoCl2 molecules were measured at an exciting electron energy of 100 eV. The dissociative and direct CoI excitation cross sections were compared. The results were used to calculate the total cross sections of dissociative excitation of CoI levels at an electron energy of 100 eV. The dissociative excitation of the cesium atom in collisions of slow electrons with cesium chloride molecules is studied by the method of extended crossed beams with detection of the optical signal from the crossing region. Forty-seven cross sections for the excitation of spectral lines of CsI in the spectral region 347–852 nm are measured at an electron energy of 100 eV, and 10 optical excitation functions (OEFs) are recorded. It is found that the dependence of the excitation cross sections on the principal quantum number of the upper level in the spectral series of Cs I corresponds to a power law. The dissociative excitation of singlet and quintet nickel atom states in e-NiBr2 collisions was studied by the method of extended intersecting beams. Optical excitation functions over the electron energy range 0–100 eV were recorded for most of the spectral lines observed. Possible dissociative excitation channels at low electron energies were discussed. We study the energy dependences of electron excitation cross sections of the autoionizing levels (5p 56s 2)2 P 3/2 and (5p 55d(3 P)6s)2 P 3/2, as well as the autoionization cross sections of cesium atoms in the impact energy range from the excitation threshold to 600 eV. It is established that an increase in the excitation cross section of the 2 P 3/2 levels (to 60% of the maximum value) and the deep minimum in the autoionization cross section observed in the energy region of 17–27 eV are caused by the predominance of the radiative decay channel for autoionizing levels with excitation thresholds above 17 eV. The high efficiency of the process is mainly related to the resonance excitation of these levels in the near-threshold energy region.  相似文献

Electron-H2S collision process is studied using the R-matrix method. Nine low-lying states of H2S molecule are considered in the R-matrix formalism to obtain elastic integral, differential, momentum transfer and excitation cross sections for this scattering system. We have represented our target states using configuration interaction (CI) wavefunctions. We obtained adequate representation of vertical spectrum of the target states included in the scattering calculations. The cross sections are compared with the experiment and other theoretical results. We have obtained good agreement for elastic and momentum transfer cross sections with experiment for entire energy range considered. The differential cross sections are in excellent agreement with experiment in the range 3–15 eV. A prominent feature of this calculation is the detection of a shape resonance in 2B2 symmetry which decays via dissociative electron attachment (DEA). Born correction is applied for the elastic and dipole allowed transition to account for higher partial waves excluded in the R-matrix calculation. The electron energy range is 0.025–15 eV.  相似文献

Photon-induced fluorescence spectroscopy was applied to measure absolute fluorescence emission cross sections from the main 5s- and first satellite levels of XeII upon photoionization from XeI in a broad exciting-photon energy range (23–28 eV) with 20 meV bandwidth of the exciting radiation and in a narrow energy range (23.25–23.50 eV) with a bandwidth of 1.8 meV. The average fluorescence resolution amounted to 0.07 nm. Fluorescence emission cross sections were computed with taking into account many-electron correlations and doubly excited states. Computed cross sections, especially in integrated form, agree well with the results of experiment. Many features observed in the high resolution experiment are identified to originate from nf-Rydberg series.  相似文献

By means of the optical method using the technique of crossed electron and atomic beams, we obtained the absolute values of the excitation cross sections of metastable cadmium atoms and their energy dependences. The absolute cross section values reach ∼10−16 cm2 (at 30 eV). Sharp resonance-like maxima are observed in the energy dependences of the excitation cross section near the excitation thresholds, which are supposedly related to the formation and decay of negative-ion excited states of.  相似文献
