The free vibration problem of rectangular thin plates is rewritten as a new upper triangular matrix differential system. For the associated operator matrix, we find that the two diagonal block operators are Hamiltonian. Moreover, the existence and completeness of normed symplectic orthogonal eigenfunction systems of these two block operators are demonstrated. Based on the completeness, the general solution of the free vibration of rectangular thin plates is given by double symplectic eigenfunction expansion method.  相似文献

The eigenfunction system of infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operators appearing in the bending problem of rectangular plate with two opposites simply supported is studied. At first, the completeness of the extended eigenfunction system in the sense of Cauchy's principal value is proved. Then the incompleteness of the extended eigenfunction system in general sense is proved. So the completeness of the symplectic orthogonal system of the infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operator of this kind of plate bending equation is proved. At last the general solution of the infinite dimensional Hamiltonian system is equivalent to the solution function system series expansion, so it gives to theoretical basis of the methods of separation of variables based on Hamiltonian system for this kind of equations.  相似文献

This paper deals with off-diagonal operator matrices and their applications in elasticity theory.Two kinds of completeness of the system of eigenvectors are proven,in terms of those of the compositions of two block operators in the off-diagonal operator matrices.Using these results,the double eigenfunction expansion method for solving upper triangular matrix differential systems is proposed.Moreover,we apply the method to the two-dimensional elasticity problem and the problem of bending of rectangular thin plates on elastic foundation.  相似文献

The completeness theorem of the eigenfunction systems for the product of two 2×2 symmetric operator matrices is proved. The result is applied to 4×4 infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operators. A modified method of separation of variables is proposed for a separable Hamiltonian system. As an application of the theorem, the general solutions for the plate bending equation and the free vibration of rectangular thin plates are obtained. The eigenvalue problem of an infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operator appearing in the isotropic plane magnetoelectroelastic solids is studied. First, all the eigenvalues and their eigenfunctions in a rectangular domain are solved directly. Then the completeness of the eigenfunction system is proved, which offers a theoretic guarantee of the feasibility of variable separation method based on a Hamiltonian system for isotropic plane magnetoelectroelastic solids. Finally, the general solution for the equation in the rectangular domain is obtained by using the symplectic Fourier expansion method.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the determination of exact buckling loads and vibration frequencies of multi-stepped rectangular plates based on the classical thin (Kirchhoff) plate theory. The plate is assumed to have two opposite edges simply supported while the other two edges can take any combination of free, simply supported and clamped conditions. The proposed analytical method for solution involves the Levy method and the state-space technique. By using this analytical method, exact buckling and vibration solutions are obtained for rectangular plates having one- and two-step thickness variations. These exact solutions are extremely useful as benchmark values for researchers developing numerical techniques and software for analyzing non-uniform thickness plates.  相似文献

This paper presents exact solutions for vibration of rectangular plates with an internal line hinge. The rectangular plate is simply supported on two parallel edges and the remaining two edges may take any combination of support conditions. The line hinge is perpendicular to the two simply supported parallel edges. The Lévy type solution method and the state-space technique are employed in connection with the first order shear deformation plate theory (FSDT) to study natural vibration of rectangular plates with an internal line hinge. In particular, exact vibration frequencies are obtained for rectangular plates of different aspect ratios and edge support conditions. 将电磁波导的控制方程导向了Hamilton体系、辛几何的形式.以电磁场的横向分量组成对偶向量并采用分离变量法,可以得到Hamilton算子矩阵的辛本征值问题.共轭辛正交归一关系、辛本征解展开定理等均可在此应用.对于复杂横截面和填充非均匀材料的电磁波导,提出对偶棱边元,对截面半解析离散后即可进行数值求解.对偶棱边元克服了结点基有限元求解电磁场问题的困难,与常规棱边元相比在某些方面具有一定的优势. 关键词: 电磁波导 Hamilton体系 对偶变量 棱边元  相似文献

A comprehensive analytical technique is developed for the free vibration analysis of rectangular plates with discontinuities along the boundaries. For illustrative purposes a solution is obtained for plates with edges partially clamped and partially simply supported and plates with edges partially and partially simply supported. A vast array of first mode eigenvalues is provided for these families of plates. Solutions to the equations are obtained by exploiting a mathematical technique described by the author during an earlier publication. It is shown that eigenvalue matrices are easily generated for a wide range of plates with discontinuities in boundary conditions.  相似文献

The authors have found the above techniques to constitute a powerful means for solving rectangular plate problems. At the time of writing, solutions for plates with two adjacent simply supported edges and two adjacent free edges have been obtained. The first 20 eigen-values for plates with all edges clamped have also been determined for a full range of aspect ratio and they are shown to be accurate to within less than one half of one percent. It will be appreciated that solutions for any combination of clamped-simply supported edge conditions can easily be obtained from the all-clamped solution by simply deleting appropriate solutions from the all-clamped combination. In Figure 2 contour lines for first mode vibration of a plate with two adjacent clamped and two adjacent simply supported edges is presented. The higher density of the contour lines along the simply supported edges will be noted.The method of superposition is currently being used by the authors to good advantage to obtain solutions of any desired degree of accuracy to all of the problems discussed. It is found to be easily utilized and unlike more complicated methods is readily comprehensible to the practicing engineer. Eigenvalues for all modes, aspect ratios, and boundary conditions are readily obtained. Modal shapes are expressed in terms of familiar analytic functions. Results of these studies will be made available in future publications.  相似文献

The dynamic characteristics and stability of the moving thermoelastic coupling rectangular plate subjected to uniformly distributed tangential follower force are investigated. Based on the heat conduction equation containing the thermoelastic coupling term and the thin plate theory, the thermoelastic coupling differential equation of motion of the rectangular plate under the action of uniformly distributed tangential follower force is established. Dimensionless complex frequencies of the moving thermoelastic coupling rectangular plate with four edges simply supported, two opposite edges simply supported and other two edges clamped are calculated by the differential quadrature method. The effects of the dimensionless thermoelastic coupling factor and dimensionless moving speed on the stability and critical load of the moving plate are analyzed. The results show that the divergence loads of the first order mode increase with the increase of the dimensionless thermoelastic coupling factor, and decrease with increasing the dimensionless moving speed.  相似文献

The large amplitude, free, flexural vibration of orthotropic skew plates simply supported along two opposite edges and clamped along the other two are investigated on the basis of an assumed mode shape. The relationship between the amplitude and period is studied for both isotropic and orthotropic skew plates for various aspect ratios and skew angles under two in-plane edge conditions. It is found that the modal equation reduces to the Dufling type equation from which the period of non-linear vibration is found to decrease with increasing amplitude, exhibiting hardening type of non-linearity. The validity of the Berger approximation is investigated for the problem under consideration and this approximation is shown to give reasonably good results.  相似文献

Frequencies of free vibration of rectangular plates of arbitrary thickness, with different support conditions, are calculated by using the Method of Initial Functions (MIF), proposed by Vlasov. Sixth and fourth order MIF theories are used for the solution. Numerical results are presented for three square plates for three thickness ratios. The support conditions considered are (i) three sides simply supported and one side clamped, (ii) two opposite sides simply supported and the other two sides clamped and (iii) all sides clamped. It is found that the results produced by the MIF method are in fair agreement with those obtained by using other methods. The classical theory gives overestimates of the frequencies and the departures from the MIF results increase for higher modes and larger thickness ratios.  相似文献

We deduce the symplectic form for the Hamiltonian structure of a new class of nonlinear equations with the help of square eigenfunctions associated with the corresponding linear problem. The method actually yields two pieces of information simultaneously. One is the structure of the square eigenfunctions, which is of prime importance in the study of the inverse problem. The other is the form of the symplectic structure fixing up the canonical Poisson bracket relation. Finally we discuss some reductions of the initial system and the corresponding change of the Hamiltonian structure and the form of the square eigenfunction.  相似文献

Vibrational mode shapes have been studied in several tenor (soprano range) and double-second (alto range) steelpans by three well-known makers. Normal modes are determined from operating deflection shapes recorded by means of electronic TV holography. Vibrational modes of the various note areas are designated by the number of radial and circumferential nodal lines. Tuners generally tune one mode an octave above the fundamental and, if possible, a third mode is tuned either a twelfth or two octaves above the fundamental. Note dimensions follow an approximate scaling law L=Kf(213), and the larger note areas can be roughly modeled as rectangular plates with simply supported edges. Modal shapes in the skirt correspond to standing bending waves propagating around the ring.  相似文献

It is shown that the problem of vibration of an orthotropic plate can be reduced to that of another orthotropic plate by a simple co-ordinate transformation, and reduction formulae are obtained. To justify the reduction formulae, fundamental natural frequencies of orthotropic rectangular plates with various boundary conditions and of a clamped orthotropic elliptical plate are discussed. As an example, an exact natural frequency of a simply supported generally orthotropic skew plate with special flexural rigidities is obtained from that of a simply supported isotropic rectangular plate.  相似文献

This paper deals with the large deflection flexural vibration of unsymmetric cross-ply laminated plates which are simply supported at two opposite edges and clamped at the other two edges. Stress-free and movable in-plane boundary conditions are considered. Non-linear frequency is obtained as a function of lamination parameters, material constants, aspect ratio, linear frequency and amplitude of vibration. Non-linear frequency to linear frequency ratio versus amplitude curves are presented for isotropic, glass-epoxy, graphite-epoxy and boron-epoxy plates.  相似文献

It was argued by Mashhoon that a spin-rotation coupling term should add to the Hamiltonian operator in a rotating frame, as compared with the one in an inertial frame. For a Dirac particle, the Hamiltonian and energy operators H and E in a given reference frame were recently proved to depend on the tetrad field. We argue that this non-uniqueness of H and E really is a physical problem. We show that a tetrad field contains two informations about local rotation, which usually do not coincide. We compute the energy operator in the inertial and the rotating frame, using three different tetrad fields. We find that Mashhoon’s term is there if the spatial triad rotates as does the reference frame—but then it is also there in the energy operator for the inertial frame. In fact, if one uses the same given tetrad field, the Dirac Hamiltonian operators in two reference frames in relative rotation differ only by the angular momentum term. If the Mashhoon effect is to exist for a Dirac particle, the tetrad field must be selected in a specific way for each reference frame.  相似文献
