采用传输矩阵法,研究了由各向同性右手材料和各向异性左手材料组成的Thue-Morse准周期结构的反射带隙,分析了入射角、偏振和晶格比例缩放因子对反射带隙的影响.结果表明该结构存在一个全方向反射带隙,该带隙的宽度由TE模的低频带边缘和TM模的高频带边缘决定.当在该结构中插入一层缺陷时,在全方向带隙中出现一条缺陷模.对TE模,缺陷模的位置受入射角的影响很弱,而对TM模,缺陷模的位置随入射角的增大,向高频方向移动.  相似文献

用传输矩阵法计算了一维光子晶体带隙结构对不同偏振态入射光的角度和波长响应. 结果表明,对P偏振态,带隙的宽度明显小于S偏振态. 对于角度响应,两种偏振态有相同的变化趋势,但变化量不同. 而对于波长响应,两种偏振态表现出不同的变化趋势. 引入了“广义布儒斯特角”的概念. 理论分析表明,当光以此角射入光子晶体时,S偏振态入射光的禁带完全保留,而P偏振态入射光的禁带完全消失,从而可以在S偏振态入射光的禁带背景中用P偏振态入射光获得受主掺杂模式. 同时还给出了实验验证结果. 关键词: 体积全息图 光子晶体 偏振  相似文献

设计了一种三角形复式晶格结构的光子晶体,在该类晶体中,电介质圆柱在空气中的排列存在E偏振和H偏振的光子带隙重叠区,称之为绝对光子带隙;而空气圆孔在电介质中的排列时,虽然E偏振和H偏振均分别存在光子带隙,但不存在绝对光子带隙。同时利用晶体的光子带结构研究了有效长波介电常数,所得结果与静电理论吻合。  相似文献

采用传输矩阵法计算了一维受限反铁磁光子晶体的带结构和透射比.研究结果表明:除来源于结构周期性的光子带隙外,体系还存在一种频率带隙,与反铁磁材料的共振性质以及受限尺寸有关.适当调节反铁磁各向异性轴的方向和受限尺寸,在反铁磁共振频率处可以出现比大块反铁磁材料的带隙宽约15倍的频率带隙.一定条件下,在大块反铁磁材料带隙的频率区间上,一些电磁波模式是可以在受限光子晶体中传播的.最后分析了几种典型的透射谱,与带结构吻合.  相似文献

等频面的拓扑结构强烈影响光在材料中的行为.通常组成光子晶体原胞的材料都是介电材料,其等频面都具有相同的封闭拓扑结构.结构最为简单的光子晶体是由两种介电材料交替组成的一维光子晶体.然而,这种传统的光子晶体在横磁和横电偏振下的光子带隙将随着入射角的增大而向短波方向移动,既不利于全向带隙的产生与展宽,又使得基于光子带隙的一些应用限制在很窄的入射角度范围内.本综述利用双曲超构材料对电磁波相位的独特调控作用,在由具有开放的等频面的双曲超构材料和具有封闭的等频面的普通介电材料交替组成的复合周期结构中实现了随入射角零移以及红移的特殊带隙,为研制具有新型功能的光学器件提供了新机理.基于零移带隙,可设计具有固定带宽的全向反射器和宽角度的近完美光吸收器.基于红移带隙,可设计宽角度的偏振选择器和超灵敏折射率传感器.  相似文献

讨论了由正折射率材料和具有色散的负折射率材料构成的Thue-Morse序列结构的透射谱,用传输矩阵元的递推关系式计算透射率.数值计算结果表明,这种系统存在一个n=0带隙,它与Bragg带隙相比,对入射角变化和电场偏振方向的变化更不敏感.此外,带隙的位置不随序列阶数的不同而变化.同时,对TM序列结构完全透射态的场分布进行了研究,发现光强的分布具有与晶格结构相似的分布.  相似文献

基于平面波展开法,理论分析了填充率、介质各向异性的程度对单轴金刚石结构三维光子晶体禁带的影响.结果表明,当填充率和介质各向异性取合适的值,单轴各向异性金刚石结构光子晶体存在着完全带隙.介质各向异性的引入使该晶体的带隙变窄甚至完全关闭.在各个布里渊区域里,带隙率和带隙宽度随介质各向异性程度的变化而变化.各向异性的引入为调整光子禁带提供了一种方法.  相似文献

理论研究了由级联一维光子晶体构成的光子异质结构的全方位透射(反射)特性.其中各级联光子晶体的高低折射率介质相同、光学厚度比不同.以两个光子晶体级联的结构为对象,利用传输矩阵方法系统研究了不同偏振态光在不同入射角时光子帯隙的变化,得出实现全方位光子带隙的最大展宽条件,即前一光子晶体的帯隙上限要和后一光子晶体的带隙下限在最大入射角时重合.分别给出了满足和不满足该最大展宽条件的级联结构的全方位带隙参量,通过对全方位带隙宽度的比较说明了满足最大展宽条件的级联结构具有最大的全方位带隙宽度.  相似文献

利用传输矩阵法研究了含特异材料的一维超导光子晶体的带隙特性. 研究表明, 这类超导光子晶体同样具有由传统的电介质材料构成的超导光子晶体一样的低频带隙, 且在一定的参数下该低频带隙可以相当宽. 但在一定的结构参数下, 这类超导光子晶体同完全由传统的电介质构成的光子晶体一样不存在低频带隙. 还就超导光子晶体的偏振特性、光子晶体结构参数及环境温度的变化对光子带隙结构的影响进行了研究. 关键词: 超导光子晶体 传输矩阵法 特异材料 光子带隙  相似文献

Two-dimensional (2D) photonic band gaps (PBG) structure fabricated from anisotropic dielectric is studied by solving Maxwell's equations with use of plane-wave expansion method. Numerical simulations show that absolute photonic band gaps can be substantially improved in two dimensional square and triangular lattices of cylinders by introducing anisotropy in material dielectricity. Owing to different refractive indices for electromagnetic waves with E- and H-polarization, the quasi-independent adjustment of band gaps for the E- and H-polarization modes can be implemented by uniaxial crystals with their extraordinary axis parallel to the cylinders. Large absolute band gaps can be created for uniaxial cylinders in air with a positive anisotropy. In the case of air holes in background uniaxial dielectric with even a weak negative anisotropy, the absolute band gap can be increased 2-3 times. Large absolute band gap can also be obtained in other complex configurations of uniaxial and biaxial materials and this enables a full exploitation of potential utilization for anisotropic materials available in nature. Such a mechanism of band gap adjustment should open up a new scope for designing band gaps in 2D PBG structures. Received 26 January 1999  相似文献

计算了由正负折射率材料交替排列组成的一维光子晶体的能带及电场,发现其能带不同于由普通正折射率材料组成的光子晶体的能带.当选择合适的参数时,由正负折射率材料组成的光子晶体的TE模或TM模有完全光子带隙出现,这在普通光子晶体中不出现.导带中的电场波函数与普通光子晶体相比具有很强的局域性.对于负折射率材料层为色散介质的情况,计算了在不同的具有正负折射率区域能带.  相似文献

An analysis is given to the band structure of the two-dimensional phononic crystal plate constituted of a square array of elastic anisotropic, circular Pb cylinders embedded in elastic isotropic epoxy. The numerical results show that the band gap can be tuned by rotating the anisotropic material orientation. It is found that the influence of anisotropy on band gap of Lamb wave is clearly different from that on the band gap of bulk waves. The thickness of the system under study is a sensitive parameter to affect the influence of anisotropic materials on the normalized gap width.  相似文献

Electronic and optical properties of single-walled zinc oxide (ZnO) nanotubes are investigated from the firstprinciples calculations. Electronic structure calculations show that ZnO nanotubes are all direct band gap semiconducting nanotubes and the band gaps are relatively insensitive to the diameter and chirality of tubes. The origin of the common electronic band gaps of ZnO nanotubes is explained in terms of band-folding from the two-dimensional band structure of graphite-like sheet. Moreover, the optical properties such as dielectric function and energy loss function spectra of different ZnO nanotubes are very similar, relatively independent of diameter and chirality of tubes. The calculated dielectric function and loss function spectra show a moderate optical anisotropy with respect to light polarization.  相似文献

对于一维复周期光子晶体,当制作用的波长满足一定条件时可以实现禁带的展宽,本文利用传输矩阵法数值计算了偏振态对折射率渐变的一维复周期全息光子晶体的禁带的影响。通过计算发现,制作波长不等的复周期结构光子晶体,随着再现光的照射角度增大,S偏振态下禁带出现分裂;P偏振态下禁带均可视作完整展宽,没有分裂现象。同一制作波长两次曝光制作的复周期结构,不论是P偏振还是S偏振,禁带均实现展宽而没有分裂。这一结果对实现一维全息光子晶体禁带展宽具有指导意义。  相似文献

Thin opal films are prepared by crystallization in a moving meniscus, and their optical transmission spectra are recorded in polarized light and studied. It is shown that the anisotropy of light propagation in the films is unambiguously related to the photonic band structure of opal and depends on the angle of incidence, the orientation of the incidence plane with respect to the opal lattice, and the wavelength and polarization of the incident light. Azimuthal diagrams of transmitted polarized light are constructed in the range of photonic band gaps of three orders for oblique incidence of a light beam. The anisotropy is found to vary with the light wave-length independently in perpendicular polarizations. A model of the band structure of opal wherein opal is represented as an fcc lattice of close-packed spheres adequately describes the optical transmission of opal films only in the range of the first-order photonic band gap.  相似文献

Three kinds of band-pass filters (BPFs), termed a TE BPF, a TM BPF and a BPF at oblique incidence, are designed by crossing the band edges of two different one-dimensional (1D) photonic crystals (PCs). The TE BPF, fulfilling the function of high reflectivity for p-polarization and high transmittance in a narrow pass-band for s-polarization, is constructed by two subPCs, one of which is obtained by decreasing the lattice constant of the other one while the other parameters keep the same. The TM BPF also comprises two subPCs, but the materials of one subPC are quite different with those of the other one. Similarly, the BPF at oblique incidence, from which both polarization waves can transmit in a narrow pass-band at oblique incidence, is composed of two different subPCs. Note that, the distribution of the wave impedance of material in each BPF should be periodic to prevent unexpected defect modes. The new filters not only provide narrow pass-bands and wide non-transmission bands, but also have simple structures. This is a result of the fact that the wave impedance ratio between composites is enlarged by introducing magnetic materials. The new designs have potential applications in optical filters and optical integrated circuits.  相似文献

The band structures of Fibonacci sequence composed of single-negative materials are studied with a transfer matrix method. A new type of omnidirectional single-negative gaps is found in the Fibonacci sequence. In contrast to the Bragg gaps, such an omnidirectional single-negative gap is insensitive to the incident angles and polarization, and is invariant upon the change of the ratio of the thicknesses of two media. It is found that omnidirectional single-negative gap exists in the other Fibonacci sequence, and it is rather stable and independence of the structure sequence.  相似文献

The transmission spectra of thin-film colloidal photonic crystals with three-dimensional and one-dimensional-two-dimensional photonic energy band structures, i.e., opals and Langmuir-Blodgett crystals with a refractive index contrast of ∼1.5: 1.0, have been measured in linearly polarized light. It has been demonstrated that the polarization anisotropy in the light transmitted through the crystal is uniquely related to the diffraction resonance and that the degree of polarization can exceed 90%. A higher degree of polarization is provided by lattices that are characterized by a smaller attenuation of light polarized in the plane of incidence. It has been revealed that the diffraction resonances from the crystal planes for which the dispersions are in anticrossing with the dispersion of the growth planes acquire the same anisotropy. The general character of the results obtained has been confirmed by the fact that the polarization anisotropy identically manifests itself in colloidal crystals that have different symmetries and lattice orderings.  相似文献
