The microstructure evolution and low field magnetic properties i.e. initial magnetic susceptibility, stabilization field and magnetic after-effect as disaccommodation of the amorphous and nanocrystalline Fe80Zr4Ti3B12Cu1 alloy were investigated. The heat treatment of the as-quenched Fe80Zr4Ti3B12Cu1 alloy at 773 K for 1 h leads to its nanocrystallization. It was stated that initial magnetic susceptibility increases and intensity of disaccommodation decreases with increasing of annealing temperature. The magnetic after-effect of the investigated nanocrystalline samples is connected with relaxation processes that occur in the amorphous matrix.  相似文献

In the present paper long-term stability of magnetic properties of different amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys was studied. Magnetic properties were measured for annealed samples (300<Ta<900 K) directly after annealing and after long-term aging at room temperature. It was shown that for the Fe75.3Cu1Zr1.7Si13B9 alloy magnetic permeability of the optimized samples is stable during 8 years aging. For Fe86−xNbxB14 alloys the observed long-term instability (3 years aging) is due to annealing out of free volume leading to formations of small iron clusters coherent with the amorphous surroundings.  相似文献

We report the influence of composition and very high transverse field annealing on the magnetic properties and structure of four FeCo-based amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys. The compositions (Fe50Co50)89Zr7B4 and (Fe65Co35)89Zr7B4 were investigated changing the Fe:Co ratio from 50:50 to 65:35. (Fe50Co50)85Zr2Nb4B8.5 was chosen to investigate Nb substitution for Zr in an FeCo-based alloy. This substitution is shown to increase the magnetostrictive constant, λSλS, of the nanocrystalline alloy from 36×10−6 to 54×10−6. The composition (Fe65Co35)84Cr5Zr7B4 was studied to investigate the influence of Cr on intergranular coupling across the amorphous matrix. Samples of each composition were annealed in the amorphous state at 300 °C and in the nanocrystalline state at 600 °C. Field annealing was performed in 17 T transverse field in an inert atmosphere. Frequency-dependent magnetic properties were measured with an automatic recording hysteresisgraph. Static magnetic properties were measured with a vibrating sample magnetometer. The mass-specific power loss of the alloys decreased with field annealing in both the nanocrystalline and amorphous states for some frequency and induction combinations. Furthermore, the hysteresis loops are sheared after field annealing, indicating a transverse magnetic anisotropy. The nanocrystalline (Fe50Co50)85Zr2Nb4B8.5 composition has a lower relative permeability than the other compositions.  相似文献

The microstructure and magnetic properties, i.e. the initial magnetic susceptibility, its disaccommodation, core losses and approach to ferromagnetic saturation of the bulk amorphous and partially crystallized Fe61Co10Zr2.5Hf2.5Nb2W2B20 alloy are studied. From X-ray, Mössbauer spectroscopy and electron microscopy studies we have stated that all samples in the as-quenched state are fully amorphous. However, after annealing the samples at 850 K for 30 min the crystalline α-FeCo grains embedded in the amorphous matrix are found. Moreover, from Mössbauer spectra analysis we have stated that the crystalline phase in those samples exhibits the long-range order. The alloy in the as-quenched state shows good thermal stability of the initial magnetic susceptibility. Furthermore, the intensity of the magnetic susceptibility disaccommodation in the rod is lower than in the ribbon. It is due to low quenching rate during the rod preparation which involves the reduction of free volumes. From the analysis of the isochronal disaccommodation curves, assuming the Gaussian distribution of relaxation times, we have found that activation energies of the elementary processes responsible for this phenomenon range from 1.2 to 1.4 eV. After the annealing of the samples the initial susceptibility slightly enhances and disaccommodation drastically decreases. From high-field magnetization studies we have learned that the size of structural defects depends on the quenching rate (the shape of the samples) and changes after annealing.  相似文献

The influence of isothermal annealing (1 h at 600 °C in Ar atmosphere) on the soft magnetic properties and magnetoimpedance (MI) effect has been studied in ribbons of the following Nanoperm alloys: Fe91Zr7B2, Fe88Zr8B4, Fe87Zr6B6Cu1 and Fe80Zr10B10. A maximum MI ratio of about 27% was measured for the nanocrystalline alloy Fe87Zr6B6Cu1 at a driving frequency of 0.2 MHz. The thermal annealing led to magnetic softening for this alloy, while a hardening is observed for the Fe80Zr10B10 alloy.  相似文献

Effect of annealing on the soft magnetic properties of Fe73.5Si13.5B9Nb3Au1 amorphous ribbon has been investigated by means of structure examination, magnetoimpedance ratio (MIR) and incremental permeability ratio (PR) spectra measured in the frequency range of 1–10 MHz at a fixed current of 10 mA X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the as-cast sample was amorphous and it became nanocrystalline under a proper heat treatment. When annealing amorphous alloy at 530 °C for 30, 60, 90 min, soft magnetic properties have been improved drastically. Among the samples investigated, the sample annealed at 530 °C for 90 min showed the softest magnetic behavior. The MIR and PR curves revealed the desirable changes in anisotropy field depending upon annealing.  相似文献

Curie temperature, crystal structure and crystallization behavior of amorphous alloys with the stoichiometry Fe81−xNixZr7B12 (x=10–60) have been studied by X-ray diffractometry (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and AC-magnetization (TMAG) measurements as functions of temperature. The thermal stability of long-range magnetic order, TC vs. Ni content in as-quenched amorphous alloys exhibits maximum at 352 °C for x=40. The primary crystallization has been detected during annealing at the first crystallization stage of all ribbons investigated.  相似文献

In boron-substituted melt-spun Sm(Co,Fe,Cu,Zr)7.5-type alloys a nanocomposite microstructure and high coercivities in both as-spun and short-time annealed ribbons can be obtained. In the present study three different compositions, namely Sm(Co0.73Fe0.1Cu0.09Zr0.04B0.04)7.5, Sm(Co0.70Fe0.1Cu0.12Zr0.04B0.04)7.5 and Sm(Co0.70Fe0.1Ni0.12Zr0.04B0.04)7.5 have been examined in order to investigate the influence of composition on the magnetic properties and the microstructure. Melt-spun ribbons have been obtained and annealing has been followed under argon atmosphere for 30–75 min at 600–870 °C. For the as-spun ribbons the TbCu7-type of structure and fcc-Co as a secondary phase have been identified in the X-ray diffraction patterns. For the annealed ribbons above 700 °C the 1:7 phase transforms into 2:17 and 1:5 phases. The TEM studies have shown a homogeneous nanocrystalline microstructure with average grain size of 30–80 nm. Coercivity values of 15–27 kOe have been obtained from hysteresis loops traced in non-saturating fields. The coercivity decreases with temperature, but it is sufficiently large to maintain values higher than 5 kOe at 380 °C.  相似文献

The paper presents measurements of magnetic permeability, magnetic after-effects, magnetostriction, DSC and XPS for the Fe80Nb6B14 amorphous alloys preliminary annealed for 1 h at temperatures ranging from 300 to 770 K. It was shown that annealing out of free volume and internal stresses causes a decrease of magnetostriction coefficient and leads to the formation of the energetically stable relaxed amorphous state. The XPS spectra show local fluctuation of boron density. This effect was attributed to the formation of small iron clusters—the characteristic feature for the relaxed amorphous phase.  相似文献

Because of the high saturation magnetization of nanocrystalline Fe84.6N7.8B7.4 ribbon with α″-Fe16N2 nanocrystallites embedded in an amorphous matrix, its electrical resistivity and magnetostriction were studied to improve its soft magnetic properties. The prepared sample exhibits a higher electrical resistivity of 246 μΩ cm and a smaller saturation magnetostriction of 2.52 ppm. The present results indicate that nanocrystalline Fe84.6N7.8B7.4 ribbon with α″-Fe16N2 phase is a good candidate for soft magnetic materials.  相似文献

This study has investigated the microstructure and magnetic properties of Fe40Ni38B18Mo4 at various degrees of crystallization from the amorphous state. TEM and XRD studies confirmed that phases forming after crystallization at temperatures around 414 and 522 °C were cubic (Fe, Ni, Mo)23B6 phase and FCC (Fe, Ni) solid solution. The growth behavior and morphology of the nanocrystalline phases have been studied as a function of time and temperature. Nanoparticles were lying in the size range of 10–20 nm and they were stable below 522 °C. Kissinger approach, Ozawa method and Yi Qun Gao method were employed to determine and compare the kinetic parameters of the crystallization processes. A growth mechanism of crystallizing phases was proposed on the basis of these results. Magnetic properties mainly coercivity and saturation magnetization of as-received and heat-treated samples were evaluated.  相似文献

Studies of magnetic and structural properties of Fe3.5Co66.5Si12−xGexB18 (x=0, 3, and 6) soft magnetic ribbons obtained by melt-spinning were performed. The samples were submitted to Joule-heating treatments with different maximum current values (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.8 A, respectively) with steps of 0.01 A and times by step of 1, 2, and 10 s). X-ray diffraction, temperature dependence of magnetization (for the as-quenched samples), coercivity and giant magnetoimpedance (GMI), measured at different frequencies (100, 500, and 900 kHz, respectively) were performed. All the samples crystallized at annealing currents higher than 0.4 A, which was consistent with the magnetic hardening of the material. Coercivities less than 1 A/m were obtained for the three samples between 0.1 and 0.2 A. Maximum value of GMI response was observed for the sample without Ge in the as-quenched state.  相似文献

The effects of 0.01 and 0.1 mol B2O3 addition to the microstructure and magnetic properties of a Ni–Zn ferrite composition expressed by a molecular formula of Ni0.4Zn0.6Fe2O4 were investigated. The toroid-shaped samples prepared by pressing the milled raw materials used in the preparation of the composition were sintered in the range of 1000–1300 °C. The addition of 0.01 mol B2O3 increased the grain growth and densification giving rise to reduced intergranular and intragranular porosity due to liquid-phase sintering. The sintered toroid sample at 1300 °C gave the optimum magnetic properties of Br=170 mT, Hc=0.025 kA/m and a high initial permeability value of μi=4000. The increment of the B2O3 content to 0.1 mol resulted in a pronounced grain growth and also gave rise to large porosity due to the evaporation of B2O3 at higher sintering temperatures. Hence, it resulted in an air-gap effect in the hysteresis curves of these samples.  相似文献

Co0.8Fe2.2O4 ferrite thin films have been prepared on Si(0 0 1) substrates by the chemical solution deposition. Structural characteristics indicate all films are single phase with spinel structure and the space group and the mean grain size increases from 8 to 30 nm with the increase of annealing temperature. The magnetic properties of Co0.8Fe2.2O4 thin films are highly dependent on annealing temperature. The sample annealed at 800 °C possesses high saturation magnetization, moderate coercivity and squareness ratio, making it a promising application candidate in high-density record and magneto-optical materials.  相似文献

A series of 20 and 100 nm Fe53Pt47 thin films sputter-deposited onto Si substrates have been thermally annealed using a pulsed thermal plasma arc lamp. A series of one, three or five pulses were applied to the thin films with widths of either 50 or 100 ms. The microstructure and magnetic properties of these annealed Fe53Pt47 films are discussed according to the various annealing conditions and A1 to L10 phase transformation. Upon pulse annealing, the average in-plane grain size of 15 nm (nearly equivalent for both film thicknesses) was observed to increase to values near 20 nm. In general, increasing the pulse width or number of pulses increased the L10 order parameter, tetragonality of the c/a ratio and coercivity of the specimen. The exception to this trend was for five pulses at 100 ms for both film thicknesses, which indicated a reduction of the order parameter and coercivity. This reduction is believed to be a result of the interdiffusion of Fe and Pt into the Si substrate and the formation of iron oxide clusters in the grain boundaries characterized by atom probe tomography.  相似文献

Influence of varying Fe/B ratio upon hyperfine interactions is investigated in the Fe91?x Mo8Cu1Bx rapidly quenched alloys. They are studied both in the as-quenched (amorphous) state as well as after one-hour annealing at different temperatures ranging from 330 °C up to 650 °C. Such a heat treatment causes significant structural changes featuring a formation of nanocrystalline bcc-Fe grains during the first crystallization step. At higher annealing temperatures, a grain growth of bcc-Fe and occurrence of additional crystalline phases are observed. The relative fraction of the crystalline phase governs the development of magnetic hyperfine fields in the residual amorphous matrix even if this was fully paramagnetic in the as-quenched state. The development of hyperfine interactions is discussed as a function of annealing temperature and composition of the investigated alloys. 57Fe Mössbauer spectrometry was used as a principal analytical method. Additional information related to the structural arrangement is obtained from X-ray diffractometry. It is shown that in the as-quenched state, the relative fraction of magnetic hyperfine interactions increases as the amount of B rises. In partially crystalline samples, the contribution of magnetic hyperfine interactions inside the retained amorphous matrix increases with annealing temperature even though the relative fraction of amorphous magnetic regions decreases.  相似文献

In this paper, compact bulk nanocomposite Nd2Fe14B/α-Fe magnetic materials were prepared by hot extrusion of amorphous and nanocrystalline powders, which were prepared by high-energy ball-milling (HEBM) of the Nd2Fe14 B-type hard magnetic phase with 20 vol% of α-Fe as soft magnetic phase. The extrusion temperature has important influence on magnetic properties and microstructure of magnetic materials. The results show that the grain size of Nd2Fe14B and α-Fe phase increases steadily with increasing extrusion temperature. Furthermore, optimal extrusion temperature of 1223 K occurs, at which the highest magnetic properties and relative density can be obtained.  相似文献

The microstructure and magnetic behaviors of the Fe-Nd-Al-B alloys prepared by suction casting with zirconium addition are investigated. With the small amount of zirconium addition, the magnetic properties of the alloys change from hard magnetic property to soft magnetic property. The proper addition of Zr (6%) not only improves the glass forming ability, but also suppresses the crystallization. From the scanning electron microscopy of the [(Fe0.53Nd0.37 Al0.10 )0.96B0.04]94Zr6 alloy and the local average elemental compositions determined using energy dispersive spectroscopy analysis, the amorphous phase with a composition of Fe47Nd38Al12Zra in the alloy can be observed. The bulk amorphous Fe47Nd38Al12Zr3 alloy is prepared by suction casting exhibiting good glassforming ability and soft magnetic behavior.  相似文献
