As stimulated by earlier attempts for obtaining theNN andN form factors from the deep inelastic lepton scattering data, we extend the analysis by taking into account effects of additional mesons including, , ,K, andK *, with the coupling constants fixed by the lowenergy nucleon-nucleon and hyperon-nucleon scattering data. Contrary to an earlier claim that the NN andN form factor must be very soft (e.g., with the cutoff mass less than 500 MeV in the monopole form), we find, for example, that with all form factors parametrized in the dipole form, a universal cutoff mass of 1150 MeV in the/N sector and 1400 MeV in the/ sector yields predictions in excellent agreement with recently published neutrino data on the momentum fractions carried by thes, , and¯d quarks, as well as consistent with the sea-to-valence ratio extracted from the CDHS data and the Femilab E615 experiment. Similar results can also be obtained by using exponential cutoffs for all couplings, or by using monopole forms for some vertices while retaining dipole forms for the rest. The success of the mesonexchange picture in generating the strangeness content in a proton suggests an alternative understanding of the origin of sea quarks in the proton.We wish to thank G. We analyzed theK + production at projectile energies below the free nucleon-nucleon threshold in proton-nucleus collisions and studied the contribution from different reaction channels to this process. It was shown that the secondary pion-nucleon (+N+K +) channel significantly prevails over the direct (p+N+N+K +) one. The momentum and angularK + spectra were calculated in the framework of different production channels in order to propose experimental measurements which allow to distinguish the mechanisms discussed. We also studiedK + d correlations and considered the deuteron reabsorption in the nuclear medium as well as the fast deuteron background. The features ofK + p correlations related to the different production channels were analyzed as well.  相似文献

The surface response for charge exchange (p, n) and (3He, T) reactions is studied in the-region using the semi-infinite slab model. The contribution to the total response from different decay channels, (NN, N, ), is calculated. These decay channels corresponds to the exclusive channels, (pp, p +, +), measured in recent (p, n) and (3He, T) experiments. The in-medium properties of the-resonance is taken into account by using microscopic calculations of the-width in nuclear matter. From the-width in nuclear matter a non-local imaginary-potential, as well as a local potential, is constructed for the semi-infinite slab model. The results in the semi-infinite slab model gives a qualitative understanding of the exclusive experiments. The exclusive (NN, N, ) channels are more sensitive, than the total response, tog-correlation parameters,-width and the absorption function used at the external vertex. Our calculations suggest low values of theg-correlation parametersg N andg , (0.3). The systematics of-decay modes and radiative widths of highly excited states in28Si has been extended by taking-ray spectra on 60 resonances of the27Al(p,) reaction in the range 1097 keVE p 4492 keV (12643 keVE x 15915 keV) and on the24Mg(,) resonances atE =3355, 3431, 4003 keV (E x =12860, 12925, 13 415 keV). The-decay modes of levels in the sub-resonance region (E x =10–12.5 MeV) were studied with both the27 A1(p, ) reaction and the27 A1(d, n) reaction at Ed=4,5,6 MeV. Information on radiative widths of levels was obtained by measuring the resonance strengthsS =(2I+1) p / for 52 resonances of the27Al(p, ) reaction with an emphasis on prospective T=1 states.  相似文献

A new procedure is devised to evaluate the proton form-factor at the ¯pp threshold from experimental data on ¯ppe + e annihilation at rest. The emission of high-energy-rays in the deexcitation of hot40Ca and39K nuclei formed in heavy-ion fusion reactions at excitation energyE x 90 MeV has been studied. The high energy-rays were measured in coincidence with evaporation residues or light charged particles. The spectrum from the self-conjugated compound nucleus40Ca shows an appreciable yield suppression in the Giant Dipole Resonance (GDR) energy region with respect to the39K, due to isospin selection rules in the dipole-decay. The spectral line shapes of the spectra are well reproduced by using a statistical code which treats explicitly the isospin quantum number in evaluating level densities and transmission coefficients. The GDR parameters determined from the present coincidence measurements are in good agreement with the systematic in theA 40 mass region at lower bombarding energy based on the analysis of inclusive spectra.We thank M. A search for the recently proposed two-phonon octupole vibrational (2-POV) 4+ or 6+ state in208Pb at an excitation energy of 5683 keV has been performed using the207Pb(d,p),208Pb (p,p) and (,) reactions at high energy resolution. No evidence for a two-phonon excitation at this energy is found.This work was supported in part by the DFG under contract nr. An application of the total-absorption (TGA) spectroscopy to measurements of the-decay energies (Q) for nuclei far from stability is described. This approach provides theQ-values with accuracies up to 60 keV. We present an experimental study of theepe+p andepe+X processes using data recorded by the H1 detector in 1993 at the electron-proton collider HERA. These processes are employed to measure the luminosity with an accuracy of 4.5 %. New assignments of quantum numbers have been obtained for more than 50 levels in28Si between 8953 and 15915 keV excitation energy. They are based on the measurement of -ray angular distributions or anisotropies on 29 resonances of the27Al(p, ) reaction and on the24Mg(a, ) resonance atE =3355 keV. A total of 15 high-spin states withI=5–7 has been obtained and the spectrum ofT=1 states has been identified up to 15915 keV excitation energy and a maximum spinI=6.  相似文献

Antiprotonic X-rays from the helium isotopes have been observed at pressures of 36, 72, 375 and 600 mbar. The antiproton beam from LEAR with momenta of 309 and 202 MeV/c has been stopped at these pressures using the cyclotron trap. The X-rays were detected with Si (Li) and intrinsic Ge semiconductor detectors. Absolute X-ray yields were determined and the strong-interaction 2p shifts and the 2p and 3d broadenings measured to be 2p=(–17±4) eV, 2p=(25±9) eV and 3d=(2.14 ±0.18) meV for ¯p3He and 2p=(-18±2) eV, 2p =(45±5) eV and 3d=(2.36±0.10) meV for ¯p4He.The efforts of the LEAR staff and the help of P. Gauss from the CERN Cryogenic Group as well as the technical assistance of M. Dröge and M. Stoll are gratefully acknowledged. Reliable calculations of nuclear matrix elements are a prerequisite for the determination of the effective neutrino mass and other particle physics parameters from neutrinoless double beta decay. Here, the operator expansion method is improved by including Coulomb, tensor and central interactions simultaneously. Furthermore, the formalism of the OEM is extended to those matrix elements necessary to extract the right-handed parameters and from 0 decay. OEM includes the dependence of the nuclear matrix elements on the intermediate states implicitly and can therefore be understood as a step beyond the closure approximation. Numerical studies are carried out for the isotope76Ge combining the OEM expressions with ground-state wave functions calculated within a proton-neutron quasiparticle Random Phase Approximation (pn-QRPA) model. The influence and relative importance of central, tensor and Coulomb interactions is investigated. Within the OEM, contributions from the Coulomb force are found to be negligible in 0 decay, while the tensor force leads to a moderate change of the results, of the order of (10–30)%, giving a better agreement between sets of calculations which employ different NN-interactions. Generally, results of the OEM+QRPA calculation are similar to previous calculations of 0 decay matrix elements, indicating that 0 decay is not sensitive to model approximations and might therefore be more accurately calculated than the strongly suppressed 2 decay matrix elements.  相似文献

The values of the angle-integrated cross section for the decay to various low-lying states in39K following the40Ca(,) reaction at a mean photon energy of 60 MeV are reported on, together with the values of the reduced Legendre coefficientsa i . A direct search for theE R =70 keV resonance in17O(p, )14N was carried out using17O enriched Ta2O5 targets in combination with a 1 mA proton beam and suitable detectors of large solid angle. New measurements of the reactione + e confirm previous evidence for the decay1 and provide a strong constraint on the mass of the1. The results from a detailed analysis of these data are compared with those from a corresponding analysis of new data on the reactione + e . It is shown that in accord with expectation. This identification of a strong1 decay supports a previous claim that the1 and theC(1480), observed in the channel, cannot be different manifestations of the same particle.  相似文献

Low-lying states of theN=50 nucleus87Rb have been investigated in the (, ') reaction measuring- and delayed-rf-coincidences. A half-life ofT 1/2=6(1) ns was obtained for the level at 1578.1 keV. This experimental result confirms the 9/2+ assignment and the proton 1g9/2 single-particle character of this state. Experimental M2 transition strengths in85,87Rb are compared with predictions of the shell model and the particle-core coupling model.This work was partly supported by the Bulgarian National Research Foundation.  相似文献
