为了研究多光子非线性Compton散射对飞秒激光退吸附作用对等离子体通道寿命的影响,应用多光子非线性Compton散射模型和强飞秒激光在空气中产生等离子体通道内带电粒子动力学模型,提出了多光子非线性Compton散射是影响等离子体辐射阻尼和通道寿命的一个重要机制,给出了等离子体通道中带电粒子的修正动力学方程,并进行了数值计算和实验研究。结果表明:散射削弱了自由电子对氧分子的吸附和正负离子的复合,有效地补偿了等离子体的辐射阻尼效应,后续激光脉宽和间隔以及Compton散射是影响等离子体辐射阻尼和通道寿命的关键因素,理论计算与实验结果较好的吻合。  相似文献

应用等离子体颗粒成长模型和多光子非线性Compton模型,研究了多光子非线性Compton散射对等离子体中颗粒成长的影响。提出了将入射光和多光子非线性Compton散射光作为颗粒成长的新机制,对颗粒凝合截面、凝合系数、颗粒收集的电子流和离子流的表达式进行了修正。结果表明,等离子体参数的变化与多光子非线性Compton散射成分、电子散射前的初始速度、入射角、与电子同时作用的光子数等因素有关。散射使生长过程中收集离子机制和凝合机制增强,颗粒的凝合截面增大,颗粒半径较快的非均匀增长。  相似文献

利用可加性规则,使用Hartree-Fock 波函数,采用被束缚原子概念修正过的复光学势,首次在100~5 000eV内对电子被具有较多电子数的氟代甲烷分子散射的总截面进行了计算,且将计算值与实验值及经验公式进行了比较,得出了被束缚原子概念修正过的复光学势可成功用于"电子-氟代甲烷"散射总截面计算的结论;研究了"电子-氟代甲烷"的散射总截面与目标分子总电子数及电子入射能量间的关系,初步分析了结构因子与总电荷数相关的原因,并指出了对复光学势进行进一步修正时应遵循的原则.  相似文献

Differential cross‐sections for incoherent and coherent scattering of 59.54 keV photons were measured for Cu and Zn targets at scattering angles of 40–135° in a reflection geometry setup with a graded shielding arrangement. The ratio of these cross‐sections, which can be determined with higher precision than absolute values, is given. A method was used to determine differential incoherent and coherent scattering cross‐sections of elements. This method is based on simultaneous measurement of fluorescence radiation and scattered radiation, thus avoiding problems with measuring source strength and source‐to‐detector solid angle. The measurements were performed using a point source of Am‐241 radioisotope and an Si(Li) detector. The experimental results, which complement earlier results, were compared with the theories of incoherent scattering function and form factor. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

It is shown how thermodynamic data (heat capacity, thermal expansion, etc.) may be used to estimate accurately certain scattering properties of crystals, assuming the validity of the quasi-harmonic approximation of lattice dynamics. In particular, Debye-Waller factors and incoherent neutron scattering cross sections can be readily correlated with thermodynamic data even though the form of the lattice frequency distribution of the crystal is not known. Thermodynamic data for vanadium, silicon, germanium and copper have been analysed and the results used to illustrate the accurate estimation of the following entities: Debye-Waller factor, total incoherent neutron scattering cross section, differential incoherent neutron cross section in the weak-binding approximation and in the n-phonon approximation. The application of the method to Mössbauer effect phenomena is also discussed. Definite criteria are suggested for deciding the conditions under which the substitution of the Debye distribution for the actual frequency distribution of a crystal leads to acceptable estimates of one or more properties of the lattice vibrations.  相似文献

The diffraction pattern of n-alkane/urea inclusion compounds is known to contain a broad diffuse scattering related to the molecular form factor of the alkane species, indicating individual rotational and/or translational disorder of these molecules. Inelastic coherent neutron scattering reveals for the first time the entirely dynamical character of the alkane molecular disorder around room temperature. This observation fully agrees with a recent model of the coherent scattering cross section of totally uncorrelated motions. In the ordered phase this diffuse scattering remains, but elastic, and very low energy molecular vibrational modes are evidenced. The scattering cross section and the Doppler spectrum for electromagnetic waves scattered by the electron density fluctuations of a plasma, where the mean kinetic temperature of the electronsT e may differ from that of the ionsT i , has been obtained among others byFejer, Buneman, Renau, Camnitz andFlood, andSalpeter. These authors use different methods of approach to calculate the autocovariance of the electron number-density fluctuations (from the mean) and then obtain the scattering cross section. Because of the differing results, the methods, concepts, and derivations of the scattering cross section are carefully examined in this paper. It is shown that the short-time dynamical considerations incorporated in the formulation of the statistical theory of the electron number-density fluctuations of the plasma as used by several authors (for instanceFejer, Buneman, Salpeter,) leads to results of limited validity. In addition, a fundamental error in calculating the electron density fluctuations leads these latter authors to an incorrect scattering cross section. The theory of scattering of electromagnetic waves from a plasma, where the electrons arenot in thermal equilibrium with the ions but statistical equilibrium exists, is developed in a general way. The covariance of the number-density fluctuations from the mean of the charged species of the plasma and the scattering cross sectionσ(q) are obtained. In particular it is shown that for a wavelength λ much greater than the effective Debye lengthd, the backscattering cross section increases and approaches complete incoherent scattering asT e /T i increases. This result is explained by noting that in the case of thermal equilibrium, the predicted value of the back-scattering cross section is smaller than that of the backscattering cross section from completely uncorrelated electron density fluctuations because the electrostatic interaction between the charged particles of the plasma, which is a function ofT e andT i , introduces a certain amount of organization in otherwise completely uncorrelated electron density fluctuations. When the mean temperature of the electrons increases relative to that of the ions, the organization introduced in the fluctuations diminishes because of the increasing thermal agitation of the electrons relative to that of the ions, and the backscattering process approaches that of incoherent backscattering (Thomson-type scattering). The spectrum function of incoherent scattering of electromagnetic waves from a nonequilibrium plasma is obtained and some cases of current interest are plotted.  相似文献

The microwave method is suggested to diagnose the ultracold neutral plasma. Based on the calculations of the dipole radiation, we derive the microwave scattering cross section of the ultracold neutral plasma, and microwave power scattered by the ultracold plasma is calculated as a function of time. The scattering of sound by a single monopole-dipole resonator in a multimode pipe is investigated. The resonator has the form of a Helmholtz resonator connected through a small bar to the pipe wall. In fact, this resonator is a combination of a monopole resonator and a dipole one positioned at the same point. The scattered fields of these resonators are orthogonal to each other. The scattering cross sections of the monopole and dipole resonators in a multimode pipe are calculated. The scattering cross section of the monopole-dipole resonator is determined as the sum of the scattering cross sections of the monopole and the dipole resonators. The friction in a resonator (the monopole or dipole resonator) reduces its scattering cross section by a factor of (1 + β)2, where β is the ratio between the friction resistance and the radiation resistance of this resonator.  相似文献

The formula of the coherent scattering cross section is derived, and numerical method of incoherent scattering cross section is given. The evolution of the electron energy distribution function in a plasma channel in a xenon plasma at atmospheric pressure created by radiation of a KrF femtosecond laser has been considered. It has been shown that, owing to the existence of the Ramsauer minimum in the transport scattering cross section, such a channel can be used to amplify electromagnetic waves up to the terahertz frequency range at relaxation times of the energy spectrum of ~10?7 s. The gain factor has been calculated as a function of the time and radiation frequency.  相似文献

A statistical analysis of the elastic unpolarized electron-proton scattering data shows that at large momentum transfer the size and the ε dependence of the radiative corrections, as traditionally calculated and applied, may induce large correlations of the parameters of the Rosenbluth fit, which prevent a correct extraction of the electric proton form factor. Using the electron QED structure (radiation) function approach, the cross section of elastic electron-proton scattering in leading and next-to-leading approximations is calculated and expressed as a correction to the Born cross section, which is different for the electric and magnetic contributions. When properly applied to the data, it may yield the solution to the problem of the discrepancy of the polarized and unpolarized results on electron-proton scattering. The present paper gives a more complete treatment of the scattering from a two-dimensional random surface than previous works. Reciprocal theorems for the stochastic wave field and the incoherent scattering distribution (bistatic cross section) are derived and the presence of backscattering enhancement in the case of a slightly random Neumann surface is demonstrated. A physical interpretation of the backscattering enhancement associated with the presence of anomalous scattering on a slightly random Neumann surface is given. Some numerical calculations are performed to show the incoherent scattering distribution and the backscattering enhancement.  相似文献
