Study of dust ion acoustic waves in a magnetized dusty plasmas composed of negatively or positively charged static dust, positive and negative ions, as well as kappa distribution electrons is presented. The Zakharov–Kuznetsov (ZK) equation is derived via reductive perturbation technique. The solitary wave solution of ZK equation is given and the multi-dimensional instability of these solitary waves is investigated via small k perturbation method. The instability criterion and growth rate relying on obliqueness, superthermality, positive ion thermal pressure, relative ion number density, magnetic field strength, and direction cosines are discussed for five cases. The results are beneficial to understand different nonlinear characteristics of unstable electrostatic disturbances in laboratory and space plasmas.  相似文献

The modulational instability of dust acoustic waves in a dusty plasma with non-adiabatic dust charge fluctuation is studied. Using the perturbation method, a modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation containing a damping term that comes from the effect of dust charge variation is derived. It is found that the modulational instability of the wave packet and the propagation characters of the envelope solitary waves are modified significantly by the non-adiabatic dust charge fluctuation.  相似文献

研究了强耦合尘埃等离子体的尘埃声波的线性色散关系和尘埃声孤波的非线性传播。考虑一个包含电子、离子、正电扰动尘埃颗粒的完全电离的三成分模型等离子体。假定其电子、离子数密度服从玻尔兹曼分布,而大质量的尘埃成分用一组经典流体方程描述,对系统方程进行线性化,得到了尘埃声波的线性色散关系,发现离子的集中参数对色散关系的影响很大。用约化摄动法对系统方程进行展开,得到了描述小振幅孤波的伯格斯方程。基于伯格斯方程研究了尘埃声孤波的基本特性,发现尘埃颗粒的强耦合效应对尘埃声孤波有很大的修正作用。该研究结果有助于理解尘埃空间等离子体中局域波的一些特性。  相似文献

The excitation and propagation of finite-amplitude low-frequency solitary waves are investigated in an argon plasma impregnated with kaolin dust particles. A nonlinear longitudinal dust acoustic solitary wave is excited by pulse modulating the discharge voltage with a negative potential. It is found that the velocity of the solitary wave increases and the width decreases with the increase of the modulating voltage, but the product of the solitary wave amplitude and the square of the width remains nearly constant. The experimental findings are compared with analytic soliton solutions of a model Korteveg-de Vries equation.  相似文献

The effects of nonadiabatic dust charge fluctuation on the nonlinear propagation of the dust acoustic (DA) solitary wave in collisionless dusty plasma with streaming ions have been investigated. By using the reductive perturbation technique, a modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation governing the nonlinear waves was derived and the solitary solution of the mKdV equation was also obtained. It was shown that the damping rate of the slow mode DA solitary wave was strongly affected by the ion streaming velocity.  相似文献

For a dusty plasma with a negatively charged dust fluid with Boltzmann distributed electrons and superthermal ions, the dust acoustic solitary waves have been studied in this paper. We derived a Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation and a modified KdV equation for different cases. 研究了小的有限振幅的无磁场尘埃等离子体中的非线性波.在一维情况下由Kortewegde Veries(KdV)方程来描述,考虑了二维情况下尘埃等离子体中尘埃颗粒上电荷的变化效应以及双温度离子效应后,尘埃等离子体受到横向高阶扰动后动力学方程由Kadomtsev-Petviashvili(KP)方程来描述.在此基础上,研究了以任意夹角传播的两个及三个孤立子的相互作用问题,考虑非线性效应后振幅相等的双孤立子在相互作用区域内振幅最大值是单个孤立子振幅的4倍,振幅相等的三孤立子在相互作用区域内振幅最大值是单个孤立子振幅的9倍.研究还表明波的传播方向受到横向高阶扰动后是稳定的.  相似文献

从理论上研究了非热离子、外部磁场、碰撞对非均匀热尘埃等离子体中三维非线性尘埃声孤波的影响。运用约化摄动法得到描述三维非线性尘埃声孤波的非标准的变系数Korteweg-de Vries(KdV)方程。然后把非标准KdV方程变为标准的变系数KdV方程,并且得到了标准的变系数KdV方程的近似解析解。由此解析解可以看出,非热离子的数目、碰撞、非均匀性、波的斜向传播、尘埃颗粒和非热离子的温度对三维非线性尘埃声孤波的振幅和宽度有很大的影响。外部磁场对三维非线性尘埃声孤波的宽度有影响,而对其振幅没有影响。此外,波的相速度与非热离子、波的斜向传播、尘埃颗粒的温度和非均匀性有关。  相似文献

The effect of higher-order nonlinearity on dust acoustic solitary waves is studied taking into account the dust-charge variation. The model of charge fluctuation, taken here, is of the formI e+I i=0,I e andI i being the electronic and ionic currents. The dust charge is determined self consistently from the current-balance equation. It is found that the higher-order correction modifies the amplitude and width of the dust acoustic solitary waves. 采用流体动力学方程组和尘埃充电方程组成的自洽模型系统,对量子尘埃等离子体中的尘埃声波波动性质进行了研究。通过线性理论分析方法得到系统的尘埃声波波动方程及其色散关系,并对色散关系进行了数值分析。研究表明:充电效应定性地修正了尘埃声波的色散特性,引起尘埃声波的耗散,其耗散强度主要与尘埃等离子体的参数有关。最后,分析了引起尘埃声波耗散的物理原因。  相似文献

Effects of nonadiabaticity of variable dust charge, dust fluid temperature, trapped electrons as well as nonisothermality of ions on the amplitude modulation of dust acoustic waves in an unmagnetized dusty plasma are investigated. A modified nonlinear Schr?dinger equation (NLSE) is obtained by the standard reductive perturbation technique and is solved numerically by the split-step Fourier method. The modulational instability and the envelope solitary wave structure are found to be modified somewhat by the effects of nonthermally distributed ions and trapped electrons.  相似文献

For two-dimensional unmagnetized dusty plasmas with many different dust grain species, a Kadomtsev--Petviashvili (KP) equation, a modified KP (mKP) equation and a coupled KP(cKP) equation for small, but finite amplitude dust-acoustic solitary waves are obtained for different physical conditions respectively. The influence of an arbitrary dust size distribution described by a polynomial expressed function on the properties of dust-acoustic solitary waves is investigated numerically. How dust size distribution affects the sign and the magnitude of nonlinear coefficient A(D) of KP (mKP) equation is also discussed in detail. It is noted that whether a compressive or a rarefactive solitary wave exists depends on the dust size distribution in some dusty plasmas.  相似文献

The nonlinear dust acoustic solitary waves in a magnetized dusty plasma with nonthermal ions and variable dust electric charge is studied analytically. Using reductive perturbation method the Zakharov‐Kuznetsov (ZK) equation is derived and effect of nonthermal coefficient, external magnetic field, and variable dust electric charge on the amplitude and width of soliton in dusty plasma is investigated. With increasing the rate of dust charge variation with respect of plasma potential, the amplitude of generated solitary waves in magnetized dusty plasma increases to a constant magnitude while its width decreases. Increasing the nonthermal ions coefficient leads to a noticeable decrease in the amplitude of solitons while the width of soliton increases. The amplitude of generated solitary waves in such a dusty plasma is independent of applied external magnetic field but we will have more localized solitons with increasing the external magnetic field strength. Dust ion-acoustic solitary waves in unmagnetized quantum plasmas are studied in spherical and cylindrical geometries. Using quantum hydrodynamic model, the electrostatic waves are investigated in the weakly nonlinear limit. A deformed Korteweg-de Vries (dKdV) equation is derived by using the reductive perturbation method and its numerical solutions are also presented. The quantum diffraction and quantum statistical effects incorporated in the system modifies the characteristics of dust ion-acoustic waves in cylindrical and spherical geometries. The role of stationary dust particles in quantum plasmas are also discussed. It is shown that the cylindrical and spherical dust ion-acoustic solitary waves behave quite differently from one-dimensional planar solitary waves in quantum plasmas.  相似文献

The nonlinear dust acoustic waves in a dusty plasmas with the combined effects of non-adiabatic dust charge fluctuation and higher-order transverse perturbation are studied. Using the perturbation method, a Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) Burgers equation that governing the dust acoustic waves is deduced for the first time. A particular solution of this KP Burgers equation is also obtained. The effects of head-on collision on dust acoustic (DA) solitary and shock waves in dusty plasma are investigated considering positively charged inertial dust, Boltzmann distributed negatively charged heavy ions, positively charged light ions, and superthermal electrons in the plasma system. The nonlinear Korteweg-de-Vries (KdV) Burger equations are derived taking the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo method into account to study the characteristic properties of nonlinearity and production of solitary shock due to collisions. The study reveals that the amplitudes and widths of the DA shock waves are decreasing with increasing viscosity, electron to dust density ratio, and dust to ion temperature ratio, while they are increasing due to the presence of superthermal electrons. The nonlinearity of DA waves are enhanced with increasing density ratio of electron to dust and temperature ratio of dust to ion and electron, respectively, but it is reducing with superthermal electrons. The phase shifts of DA solitary waves are found to decrease with rising superthermality of electrons and increase with the density ratio of electron to dust.  相似文献

The propagation of linear and nonlinear dust ion acoustic waves (DIAWs) are studied in a collisionless magnetized plasma which consists of warm ions having anisotropic thermal pressure, nonthermal (energetic) electrons and static dust particles of positive and negative charge polarity. The anisotropic ion pressure is defined using double adiabatic Chew‐Golberger‐Low (CGL) theory. In the linear regime, the propagation properties of the two possible modes are investigated via ion pressure anisotropy, dust particle polarity and nonthermality of electrons. Using reductive method Zakharov‐Kuznetsov (ZK) equation is derived for the propagation of two dimensional electrostatic dust ion acoustic solitary waves in dusty plasmas. It is found that both compressive and rarefactive solitons are formed in presence of nonthermal electrons using Cairn's distribution [R.A. Cairns, A.A. Mamun, R. Bingham, R.O. Dendy, R. Bostrom, C.M.C. Nairn and P.K. Shukla, Geophys.Res. Lett. 22 , 2709 (1995)] in the system. The ion pressure anisotropy, nonthermality of electrons and charge polarity of the dust particles have significant effects on the amplitude and width of the dust ion acoustic solitary waves in such anisotropic nonthermal magnetized dusty plasmas. The numerical results are also presented for illustration. Our finding is applicable to space dusty plasma regimes having anisotropic ion pressure and nonthermal electrons. In consideration of adiabatic dust charge variation, the combined effect of the external magnetized field and the dust temperature on head-on collision of the three-dimensional dust acoustic solitary waves is investigated. By using the extended Poincar\'e--Lighthill--Kuo method, the phase shifts and the trajectories of two solitons after the collision are obtained. The effects of the magnitude and the obliqueness of the external magnetic field and the dust temperature on the solitary wave collisions are discussed in detail.  相似文献
