This paper explores the possibility of realizing a hollow-core optical fiber, whose cladding is composed of cylindrical alternating layers of air and high-index material with supporting structure. The optical properties and the design criteria of the proposed fiber are evaluated by the compact two-dimensional (2D) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. In particular, the influence of the number and width of supporting strips on the leakage loss of the fiber is investigated. Furthermore, the mechanical performances of the fiber are estimated by finite-element method, confirming that hollow-core fibers with a reasonable size and number of supporting strips are reliable.  相似文献

We study spin transport in a zigzag graphene nanoribbon sample with two ferromagnetic strips deposited on the two sides of the ribbon.A tight-binding Hamiltonian was adopted to describe the sample connected to two onedimensional leads.Our theoretical study shows that the resonance peaks of conductance for the spin-up and spin-down electrons are separated for the parallel configuration of the ferromagnetic strips,while they are not separated for the case of antiparallel configuration.This means that giant magnetoresistance can be produced at particular energies by altering the configurations of the ferromagnetic strips,and the device can be designed as a spin filter.  相似文献

Existing techniques for predicting sound TL of double panel partitions are usually based onthe assumption that the mechanical connection of the stud is a rigid sound bridge,but they pro-vide unrealistic estimates of the TL in the case of metal stud partitions,of which the TL is sig-nificantly improved at mid and higher frequency regions owing to the lateral resilient effect of thestud itself.A modified expression for prediciting the TL of metal Stud partitions is thus given inthis paper,which is in good agreement with experimental results.In addition,the effects of addi-tional resilient pad strips on both sides of the stud are discussed.It is shown that even for sucha complex structure the TL can also be determined approximately by means of a set of simpleexpressions.  相似文献

In this paper two major methods of simulation of sound fields are commented on:Monte Carlomethod and ray-tracing technique;then the investigation into the influence of the geometry of rooms,the distribution of absorbers and the absorption coefficient itself on the reverberation in a roomis simulated and discussed by use of the method developed in this paper.Finally,as an examplethe reverberation time and the directional distribution of early reflected sound energy between 0—80ms are calculated,demonstrating the utility of computer simulation in room acoustics.  相似文献

Surface leaky wave(SLW)resonator is designed and fabricated by using high electromechanicalcoupling and large impedance changes under the shorted metallized strips of the surface leaky wave,excited on the surface of the 49°rotated Y-cut LiNbO_3.The prominent advantage over the con-ventional surface acoustic wave resonator(SAWR)is that the required area of the piezo-electric sub-strate could be reduced to 1/4—1/5 of SAWR at the same frequency and its insertion loss is only2—5 dB in 50Ω system. The electromechanical coupling constant k_s~2 and acoustic impedance mismatching ratio|ε| aremeasured and thus the reflective frequency responses of the shorted metaliized array are calculated.The factors relating with the insertion loss are analyzed by utilizing an equivalent circuit model.Some typical experimental results are shown in this paper as well.  相似文献

We investigate the surface structure and electronic properties of β-Sn islands deposited on a graphitized 6 H-SiC(0001) substrate via low temperature scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy.Owing to the confinement of the island geometry,quantum well states(QWSs) are formed,manifesting as equidistant peaks in the tunneling spectra.Furthermore,a distinct strip feature appears on the surfaces of odd-layer Sn islands,ranging from 15-19 layers,which is not present on the surfaces of even-layer Sn islands.The spatial distribution of strips can be modified by applying a bias pulse,using an STM tip.Furthermore,the strip-like structure shows significant impacts on the QWS.An energy splitting of the lowest unoccupied QWSs is observed in strip regions;this may be ascribed to caused the phase shift of the wave functions of the QWSs on the top surface,due to surface distortions created by the aforementioned strips.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the new fundamentals of the conventional LC filter circuit network in the fractional domain.First, we derive the general formulae of the impedances for the conventional and fractional-order filter circuit network.Based on this, the impedance characteristics and phase characteristics with respect to the system variables of the filter circuit network are studied in detail, which shows the greater flexibility of the fractional-order filter circuit network in design.Moreover, from the point of view of the filtering property, we systematically study the effects of the filter units and fractional orders on the amplitude–frequency characteristics and phase–frequency characteristics. In addition, numerical tables of the cut-off frequency are presented. Finally, two typical examples are presented to promote the industrial applications of the fractional-order filter circuit network. Numerical simulations are presented to verify the theoretical results introduced in this paper.  相似文献

DVA (dynamic vibration absorber) is good for restrain of the resonance vibration in low frequency, especially under the condition that there are only one mode or two modes in a frequency band. It seems rather difficult to control the resonance vibration of elastic structures in high frequency, since usually there are so many modes in high frequency band. The broad band DVA is brought forward to reduce the resonance vibration of elastic structures. The broad band DVA is designed on the basis of the characteristic of power flow in structure in this paper. The broad band DVA is effective on absorbing the resonance vibration power flow of the most important modes. The ability of absorbing vibration for the broad band DVA is analyzed in detail. The results obtained in this paper provide a basis for the optimization design of the broad band DVA and the optimization positions on structures.  相似文献
