利用可变光阑实现双轴晶体动态外锥折射 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
介绍了一种获得晶体动态外锥折射的方法.用全固态绿光激光器和双轴晶体kNbO_3,通过改变位于已消球差的双胶合透镜后表面处可变光阑的通光孔径,即改变入射光束的会聚角度,来实现入射光会聚角对外锥折射锥角的调制,由此得出双轴晶体kNbO_3外锥折射的锥角表达式.实验结果表明,周期性改变孔径光阑通光孔径的大小(入射光束的会聚角度)时,外锥折射锥角也同步地发生周期性的改变;外锥折射锥角等于入射于双轴晶体端面上的光线的会聚角.利用可变光阑可实现双轴晶体动态外锥折射并获得可控激光环,实验所测锥角角度与理论计算符合较好. 相似文献

单色光波正入射到任意取向的双轴晶体上的情况,求得了双轴晶体中偏振光的传播方向及相应入射分量的折反系数的计算公式,并得出了偏振光的振动方向恒在折射面内、两折射面恒正交的重要结论。最后就NaNO2晶体的相应计算数据,画出晶体中偏振光出射点随晶体取向而变化的轨迹图及反射系数变化图予以讨论。这些结果为应用新的方法测量双轴晶体光学参量提供了可能性。

当各向异性晶体介电主轴坐标系与入射光波所在平面坐标系取向不同时,讨论折射光波场强E的问题变得比较复杂,但是这种情形对于许多双轴晶体的非线性光学现象具有重要影响.在上述两坐标系任意取向的前提下,讨论了平面波从各向同性介质入射到各向异性晶体后,其折射光波电场强度E的大小和方向的一般表达式,证明了折射光波电场强度的方向和大小可以通过求解一元四次方程和电磁场边界条件而得到.对于一些特殊的入射光波方向和具有特殊对称性的晶体,折射光波电场强度E的方向与光波法线方向垂直,也就此特殊情况进行了讨论.利用所得结果,可以讨论两束折射光波能量的分配关系. 相似文献

就任意方向的光线入射到任意取向的双轴晶体上的情况,求得了晶体内外偏振光传播方向的普遍计算公式,并就过渡到单轴晶体的情况,折射线在入射面内以及锥形折射情况作了研究。最后,就冰洲石、结晶硫的相应计算数据,画出了晶体转动时晶体中偏振光的方位曲线,加以讨论。本文结果为研究新的晶体光学元件、新的晶体常数测量方法提供了一个理论依据。 相似文献

The electro-optic effect in uniaxial crystals for light propagating near the optic axis with any polarization has been analyzed. The passive and the electrically induced birefringences and the rotation of polarization direction in crystals have been calculated, and the conoscopic interference figures under orthogonal polariscopes for different polarizer directions have been plotted. The extinction areas caused by the rotation of polarization direction in crystals change with the polarizer direction, but the two heads of the induced optical axes do not vary, which are always on the induced principal axis with bigger refractive index. The directions of polariscopes are always extinction, and the ±45° directions with polarizer are always complete transmission. The conoscopic interference figures for LiNbO3 crystals have been demonstrated experimentally by rotating polariscopes directions, which accord with the theoretically calculating plots. 相似文献

Using the laser-conoscopy method, the photorefractive light-scattering method, and the Raman light-scattering method, we have studied the structural and optical homogeneities and photorefractive properties of (i) stoichiometric lithium niobate crystals (LiNbO3(stoich)), which were grown from a melt with 58.6 mol % of Li2O; (ii) congruent crystals (LiNbO3(congr)); and (iii) congruent crystals that were doped with Zn2+ cations (LiNbO3:Zn; [Zn] = 0.03–1.59 mol %). We have shown that the speckle-structure of the photorefractive light scattering in all the crystals is three-layer. The shapes of the second and third layers repeat in general the shape of the first layer. We have shown that the differences that are observed between the Raman spectra, the photorefractive light scattering, and the conoscopic patterns of the examined crystals are caused by the fact that defects are distributed inhomogeneously over the volume of these crystals and that Zn2+ cations are incorporated inhomogeneously into the lattice. This leads to the appearance of local changes in the elastic characteristics of the crystal and to the appearance of mechanical stresses, which locally change the optical indicatrix and, correspondingly, the conoscopic pattern and the Raman spectrum. 相似文献

The optical activity of crystals leads to the occurrence of ellipticity at the reflection of light which is linearly polarized in the interface plane or normally to it. The effect experimentally discovered in the investigated structures with quantum wells is due to a spin-orbit interaction and birefringence. The qualitative dependence of the effect on the change in the orientation of the linear polarization of the incident light has been revealed. A sharp increase in the degree of the polarization conversion in a narrow range of incidence angles for light polarized in the incidence plane has been detected. The latter is due to the influence of the interference of the reflected wave on the structure thickness. 相似文献

研究了旋光晶体在偏光干涉实验中的电光效应,给出了旋光晶体在偏光干涉实验中出射光强与晶体旋光性之间关系的表达式I—Ao^2cos^2[β-(π/λ)(n1-nr)l],以及与旋光晶体电光效应之间关系的表达式I—Ao^2cos^2[β-(π/λ)(n1-nr)l (π/λ)(n2-n1)l]。根据这些表达式给出的关系,将典型的旋光晶体La3Ga5SiO14制作成了电光Q开关,像那些用无旋光性晶体制作的Q开关一样工作良好。在中等功率输出的激光器中,La3Ga5SiO14晶体电光Q开关有可能取代氘化磷酸二氢钾(DKDP)晶体电光Q开关。 相似文献

设计了一种缺陷模迁移光子晶体微腔全光开关. 两条二维三角晶格空气孔光子晶体波导由一个光子晶体微腔连接, 在微腔的点缺陷中填充掺有少量偶氮聚合物的苯乙炔类液晶. 通过调节控制光的偏振态, 使偶氮聚合物发生顺-反异构化反应, 带动液晶分子重新取向, 从而改变光子晶体微腔的谐振波长, 进而实现光的通过与截止. 运用时域有限差分法和平面波展开法分析 了二维光控液晶光子晶体微腔全光开关的光学特性. 数值计算结果表明: 对于1.55 μ通信波段通过外界偏振光控制所填充的向列相液晶 的折射率可以实现对光波的导通与截止. 分析结果显示, 此开关具有阈值低, 消光比较大, 体积小等优点.
