The main physical results obtained with the Baikal neutrino telescope NT200 during the period 1998–2003 are reviewed: the limits for the diffuse flux of high-energy neutrinos, high-energy muons, and magnetic monopoles and the results of search for neutrinos from the center of the Earth due to annihilation of weakly interacting massive particles and from local neutrino sources. In April, 2005, the neutrino telescope NT200 was extended by introduction of three new strings, located at a distance of 100 m from the NT200 center. The new deep-water complex NT200+ has an effective volume for detecting cascades from high-energy neutrinos larger than that of NT200 by a factor of 4. At a cascade energy of 10 PeV, the effective volume of the new complex is 107 m3. Further development of the Baikal neutrino experiment is related to the design and fabrication of a detector with a volume of about 1 km3. Original Russian Text ? K.V.Antipin, V.M. Ainutdinov, V.A. We discuss the physics potential and the experimental challenges of an upgraded LHC running at an instantaneous luminosity of 1035 cm-2s-1. The detector R&D needed to operate ATLAS and CMS in a very high radiation environment and the expected detector performance are discussed. A few examples of the increased physics potential are given, ranging from precise measurements within the Standard Model (in particular in the Higgs sector) to the discovery reach for several New Physics processes. A spectrometer is created to study relativistic hypernuclei produced with beams of accelerated nuclei from the Nuclotron facility (Dubna, JINR). Test runs have been carried out and the conclusion is drawn that the properties of the facility meet the requirements of the task of searching for unknown and studying poorly known neutron-rich hypernuclei. We study complexified Harmonic Oscillator with a position-dependent mass, termed as Complex Exotic Oscillator (CEO). The complexification induces a gauge invariance [A.V. Smilga, J. Phys. A 41 (2008) 244026, arXiv:0706.4064; A. Mostafazadeh, J. Math. Phys. 43 (2002) 205; A. Mostafazadeh, J. Math. Phys. 43 (2002) 2814; A. Mostafazadeh, J. Math. Phys. 43 (2002) 3944]. The role of PT-symmetry is discussed from the perspective of classical trajectories of CEO for real energy. Some trajectories of CEO are similar to those for the particle in a quartic potential in the complex domain [C.M. Bender, S. Boettcher, P.N. Meisinger, J. Math. Phys. 40 (1999) 2201; C.M. Klein-Gordon, Maxwell and Dirac fields are studied in quasiregular spacetimes, those space-times containing a classical quasiregular singularity, the mildest true classical singularity [G. F. R. Ellis and B. G. Schmidt, Gen. Rel. Grav. 8, 915 (1977)]. A class of static quasiregular spacetimes possessing disclinations and dislocations [R. A. Puntigam and H. H. Soleng, Class. Quantum Grav. 14, 1129 (1997)] is shown to have field operators which are not essentially self-adjoint. This class of spacetimes includes an idealized cosmic string, i.e. a four-dimensional spacetime with a conical singularity [L. H. Ford and A. Vilenkin, J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 14, 2353 (1981)] and a Gal'tsov/Letelier/Tod spacetime featuring a screw dislocation [K. P. Tod, Class. Quantum Grav. 11, 1331 (1994); D. V. Gal'tsov and P. S. Letelier, Phys. Rev. D 47, 4273 (1993)]. The definition of G. T. Horowitz and D. Marolf [Phys. Rev. D52, 5670, (1995)] for a quantum-mechanically singular spacetime is one in which the spatial-derivative operator in the Klein-Gordon equation for a massive scalar field is not essentially self-adjoint. The definition is extended here, in the case of quasiregular spacetimes, to include Maxwell and Dirac fields. It is shown that the class of static quasiregular spacetimes under consideration is quantum-mechanically singular independent of the type of field.  相似文献

Concentrations of radionuclides in liquid and solid technological waste of the South-Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant were studied. It is shown that correlated variation in radionuclide content of all samples is observed. Simple relations are derived for evaluating concentrations of radionuclides from the data on the 60Co and 137Cs activities. Original Russian Text ? M.D. Bondar’kov, A.M. Maksimenko, I.N. Listeners' ability to understand speech in adverse listening conditions is partially due to the redundant nature of speech. Natural redundancies are often lost or altered when speech is filtered, such as done in AI/SII experiments. It is important to study how listeners recognize speech when the speech signal is unfiltered and the entire broadband spectrum is present. A correlational method [R. A. Lutfi, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 97, 1333-1334 (1995); V. M. Richards and S. Zhu, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 95, 423-424 (1994)] has been used to determine how listeners use spectral cues to perceive nonsense syllables when the full speech spectrum is present [K. A. Doherty and C. W. Turner, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 100, 3769-3773 (1996); C. W. Turner et al., J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 104, 1580-1585 (1998)]. The experiments in this study measured spectral-weighting strategies for more naturally occurring speech stimuli, specifically sentences, using a correlational method for normal-hearing listeners. Results indicate that listeners placed the greatest weight on spectral information within bands 2 and 5 (562-1113 and 2807-11,000 Hz), respectively. Spectral-weighting strategies for sentences were also compared to weighting strategies for nonsense syllables measured in a previous study (C. W. Turner et al., 1998). Spectral-weighting strategies for sentences were different from those reported for nonsense syllables.  相似文献

A review of experimental data on order-disorder phase transitions is given. Information on the type and temperature of the transformation and the temperature dependence of the long-range-order parameter is systematized. The conditions of stability of structures with long- and short-range order are analyzed using a pair-interaction model. The relation between the form of the Fermi surface and the structure of the ordered state is shown.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 8, pp. 82–92, August, 1976.In conclusion, the author thanks N.
