The infrared and millimeter wave spectroscopy, laser Stark spectroscopy, and beam maser spectroscopy of CH3CN and its isotopic species will be discussed. The beam maser spectroscopy and hyperfine structure of molecules like NCCCD, ClCCD and CH3CCH are reviewed. The laser magnetic resonance and hyperfine structure in CF, CH and CH2 free radicals will be discussed. The Lamb dip spectroscopy and laser-induced fluorescence in I2 involving theB 3Π(0 u + ) state are reviewed with special reference to its hyperfine structure. The splitting of the rotational levels of N 2 + in itsX 2Σ g + andB 2Σ u + states due to hyperfine interactions (along with the hyperfine structure) in laser-induced fluorescence in theB−X transition is discussed. Recent results obtained in the laser photo-acoustic spectrum of ICl in the transitionX 1Σ+A 3Π1 will be presented and the possibility of the use of this technique in studying the hyperfine structure will be discussed.  相似文献

The parametersχ 1,2, which measure nonfactorizable soft gluon contributions to hadronic weak decays of mesons, are updated by extracting them from the data ofD, BPP, VP decays (P: pseudoscalar meson,V: vector meson). It is found thatχ 2 ranges from −0.36 to −0.60 in the decays fromD toD +φπ +,DK*π, while it is of order 10% with a positive sign inBψK, Dπ, D*π, Dρ decays. Therefore, the effective parametera 2 is process dependent in charm decay, whereas it stays fairly stable inB decay. This is in accordance with the picture that nonfactorizable soft gluon effects become stronger when the relative momentum of the decay particles becomes smaller. As forD, BVV decays, the presence of nonfactorizable terms in general prevents a possible definition of effectivea 1 anda 2. This is reinforced by the observation of a large longitudinal polarization fraction inBψK* decay, implying nonfactorizable effects contributing differently toS-, P- andD-wave amplitudes. We found thatA 1 nf /A 1>0>A 2 nf /A 2,V nf/V (nf standing for nonfactorization) forBψK* decay and 0>A 1 nf /A 1>A 2 nf /A 2,V nf/V forDK*ρ decay. A measurement of longitudinally and transversely polarized decay rates Γ L and Γ T in color-suppressed decay modesB 0D*0 ρ 0,D*0 ω andD +φρ + is urged.  相似文献

The lifetimes of theB 0 andB + mesons have been measured with theAleph detector at LEP, using approximately 3 million hadronic Z decays collected in the period 1991–1994. In the first of three methods, semileptonic decays ofB 0 andB + mesons were partially reconstructed by identifying events containing a lepton with an associatedD* or meson. The second method used fully reconstructedB 0 andB + mesons. The third method, used to measure theB 0 lifetime, employed a partial reconstruction technique to identifyB 0D* π + X decays.  相似文献

Fluorescence was excited in theB 1Γ u X 1Σ g + system of Na2, using the 488 and 514.5 nm radiations from a cw Ar+ laser. The fluorescence was monitored through a double monochromator employing photoelectronic detection. In the spectrum resulting from the 488 nm excitation, apart from a large number of fluorescence series, a previously unreported series could be identified. On either side of all the members of the strongest series a large number of collisional satellites were observed and assigned.  相似文献

High-resolution spectra of the 0–9, 0–10 and 0–11 bands of theA 2II u X 2II g system of (16O18O)+ ion have been studied for their rotational structure. This study enables a direct determination of the Λ-doubling parameters of theA 2II u andX 2II g states. The model of ‘pure precession’ explains, though not entirely, the Λ-doubling of theX 2II a state as arising out of its interaction with theB 2 Σ g state. The Λ-doubling in theA 2II u state was found insignificant.  相似文献

Decay rate, forward–backward asymmetry and polarization asymmetries of the final state leptons in B→K1τ+τ-, where K1 is the axial vector meson, are calculated in the standard model and in the universal extra dimension (UED) model. The sensitivity of the observables to the compactification radius R, the only unknown parameter in the UED model, is studied. Finally, the helicity fractions of the final state K1 are calculated and their dependence on the compactification radius is discussed. This analysis of the helicity fraction is briefly extended to B→K*+- (ℓ=e,μ) and compared with the other approaches existing in the literature.  相似文献

The decay B0 d→D+D- offers an interesting probe of CP violation, but it requires control of penguin effects, which can be done through B0 s→D+ sD- s by means of the U-spin flavour symmetry of strong interactions. Recently, the Belle collaboration reported indications of large CP violation in the B0 d decay, which were, however, not confirmed by BaBar, and first signals of the B0 s channel were observed at the Tevatron. In view of these developments and the quickly approaching start of the LHC, we explore the allowed region in observable space for CP violation in B0 d→D+D-, perform theoretical estimates of the relevant hadronic penguin parameters and observables, and we address questions both about the most promising strategies for the extraction of CP-violating phases and about the interplay with other measurements of CP violation and the search for new physics. As far as the latter aspect is concerned, we point out that the B0 q→Dq +D- q system provides a setting for the determination of the B0 q–B̄0 q mixing phases (q∈{d,s}) that is complementary to the conventional B0 d→J/ψKS and B0 s→J/ψφ modes with respect to possible new-physics effects in the electroweak penguin sector.  相似文献

The incorporation of deep levels in high purity vapour phase epitaxy (VPE) GaAs is studied as a function of the crystal growth conditions. Two deep levels, at 0.4 eV and 0.75 eV above the valence band, are investigated using photocapacitance. It is shown that their concentrations are always equal and vary together as a function of the AsCl3 mole fractionX. Two regimes are observed, respectively, characterized by different variations of the total deep level concentrationN T:N TαX for lowX, andN TαX−2 for highX. In this last range,N T andN D are found to vary similarly. This work has been supported by the DRME.  相似文献

It is shown that to leading order the collisional energy loss of an energetic parton in the hot quark gluon plasma reads dE/dx∼α(mD 2)T2, where the scale of the coupling is determined by the (parametrically soft) Debye screening mass. Compared to previous expressions derived by Bjorken and other authors, dEB/dx∼α2T2ln(ET/mD 2), the rectified result takes into account the running of the coupling, as dictated by quantum corrections beyond tree level. As one significant consequence, due to asymptotic freedom, the QCD collisional energy loss becomes independent of the jet energy in the limit E≫T. It is argued why this resummation-improved perturbative result is useful to (re-) estimate the collisional energy loss for temperatures relevant in heavy ion phenomenology. The reaction processA + B → ∅ is modeled for ballistic reactants on an infinite line with particle velocitiesυ A =c andυ B = -c and initially segregated conditions, i.e., allA particles to the left and allB particles to the right of the origin. Previous models of ballistic annihilation have particles that always react on contact, i.e., pair-reaction probabilityp = 1. The evolutions of such systems are wholly determined by the initial distributions of particles and therefore do not have a stochastic dynamics. However, in this paper the generalization is made to p< 1, allowing particles to pass through each other without necessarily reacting. In this way, theA andB particle domains overlap to form a fluctuating, finitesized reaction zone where the product ∅ is created. Fluctuations are also included in the currents ofA andB particles entering the overlap region, thereby inducing a stochastic motion of the reaction zone as a whole. These two types of fluctuations, in the reactions and particle currents, are characterised by theintrinsic reaction rate, seen in a single system, and theextrinsic reaction rate, seen in an average over many systems. The intrinsic and extrinsic behaviors are examined and compared to the case of isotropically diffusing reactants  相似文献

Photoacoustic spectroscopy of iodine molecule has been studied in gas phase using nitrogen laser-pumped tunable dye laser. The experiment yielded the vibrational spectrum corresponding toX 1Σ+(0 g + )→B 3Π(0 g + ) transition up to the convergence limit. The photo-acoustic spectrum in the region 17580–18850 cm−1 is presented along with the vibrational analysis. Five of the vibrational bands reported earlier by Venkateswarlu, Kumar and McGlynn have been partially resolved and the structure of one of them has been analyzed and shown to be due to an overlap of (14, 2) and (12, 1) bands. The analysis was based on a comparison with the highly resolved spectrum of Gerstenkorn and Luc. The structure observed in the region 20200–20750 cm−1 which is beyond the convergence limit of the transitionX 1Σ+(0 g + )→B 3Π(0 u + ) has been analyzed as due to two-photon absorption. Most of the bands could be assigned to two transitions both originating in the ground state and terminating in two different electronic states 1 g andE(0 g + ), atT e=40821 cm−1 (orT 0=41355 cm−1) andT e=41411 cm−1 (orT 0=41355 cm−1) respectively.  相似文献

The OPE treatment that has been so successful in describing inclusive B̄→lν̄Xc decays yields sum rules (in particular the Uraltsev sum rule and its higher moments) implying the dominance of the P wave jq=3/2 charm states in Xc over their jq=1/2 counterparts. This prediction is supported by other general arguments as well as quark model calculations, which illustrate the OPE results, and by preliminary lattice findings. Its failure would indicate a significant limitation in our theoretical understanding of B̄→lν̄Xc. Some experimental issues have been clarified since a preliminary version of this note had appeared; yet, the verdict on the composition of the final states beyond D, D* and the two narrow jq=3/2 resonances remains unsettled. Establishing which hadronic configurations – D/D*+π,D/D*+2π,... – contribute, what their quantum numbers are, and their mass distributions will require considerable experimental effort. We explain the theoretical issues involved and why a better understanding of them will be of considerable value. Having significant contributions from a mass continuum distribution below 2.5 GeV raises serious theoretical questions for which we have no good answer. Two lists are given, one with measurements that need to be done and one with items of theoretical homework. Some of the latter can be done by employing existing theoretical tools, whereas others need new ideas.  相似文献

In the temperature range of T = 150–400 K, the dependence of spectral widths (cm−1) on temperature, 182 + 0.38(±0.01)T and 217 + 0.48(±0.01)T, respectively, has been obtained for dimole emission of O2(a, 0) + O2(a, 0) → O2(X, 1) + O2(X, 0) + hν (λ = 703 nm) and O2(a, 0) + O2(a, 0) → O2(X, 0) + O2(X, 0) + hν (λ = 634 nm). It was shown that the ratio of dimole emission rate constants does not depend on temperature in the range of 150–400 K and is 1.06 ± 0.01.  相似文献

We apply the kT factorization approach to deal with the B→K transition form factor FB→K +,0(q2) in the large recoil regions. The B-meson wave functions ΨB and Ψ̄B that include the 3-particle Fock states’ contributions are adopted to give a consistent PQCD analysis of the form factor up to . It has been found that the two wave functions ΨB and Ψ̄B can give sizable contributions to the form factor and should be kept for a better understanding of the B-meson decays. Next the contributions from different twist structures of the kaon wave function are discussed, including SUf(3)-breaking effects. A sizable contribution from the twist-3 wave function Ψp is found, whose model dependence is discussed by taking two groups of parameters that are determined by different distribution amplitude moments obtained in the literature. It is also shown that FB→K +,0(0)=0.30±0.04 and [FB→K +,0(0)/FB→π +,0(0)]=1.13±0.02, which are more reasonable and consistent with the light-cone sum rule results in the large recoil regions. A data sample of about 3.0 million hadronicZ decays collected by the ALEPH experiment at LEP in the years 1991 through 1994 is used to make an inclusive selection of B hadron events. In this event sample 4227±140±252B* mesons in the decayB*→ and 1944±108±161B** u,d mesons decaying into a B meson and a charged pion are reconstructed. Here and in the followingB** u,d denotes the eightL=1() and (bd) states and their charge conjugate. For the well establishedB* meson the following quantities are obtained:ΔM=M B*−MB=(45.30±0.35±0.87) MeV/c2 andN B*/(N B+N B*)=(77.1±2.6±7.0)%. The angular distribution of the photons in theB* rest frame is used to measure the relative contribution of longitudinalB* polarization states to beσ L/(σ L+σ T)=(33±6±5)%.  相似文献

Based on the factorization approximation, we have estimated the ratio of the branching fractions for the color suppressed nonleptonic decays Λ b →ΛJ/ψ andB 0KJ/ψ. Treating thes-quark as heavy, we have used the HQET to calculate the hadronic matrix elements. The mesonic Isgur-Wise function is calculated in the quark model whereas for the baryonic IW function we have employed the bound state soliton picture. We study the analytic Bethe, ansatz in solvable vertex models associated with the YangianY(X r ) or its quantum affine analogueU q (X r (1) ) forX r =B r ,C r andD r . Eigenvalue formulas are proposed for the transfer matrices related to all the fundamental representations ofY(X r ). Under the Bethe ansatz equation, we explicitly prove that they are pole-free, a crucial property in the ansatz. Conjectures are also given on higher representation cases by applying theT-system, the transfer matrix functional relations proposed recently. The eigenvalues are neatly described in terms of Yangian analogues of the semi-standard Young tableaux.  相似文献

1 Π→X1Σ+ transitions and the continuum spectrum of d3Π→a3Σ+ transitions of the NaK dimer in a heat pipe could be observed in the range of 500–700 nm. The collision-induced enhancement effects of the intensities Id→a and the quenching effect of the intensities ID→X by collisions with argon buffer gas at different pressures were measured experimentally. Based on the stationary collisional model and lifetime measurements, the quenching cross sections and cross sections for collision-induced energy transfer between the D1Π and d3Π states could be estimated. Two sharp line-like bands calledN andR lines on the red side, a close doublet (B lines) on the violet side and two broad bands are observed for natural ruby. At liquid air temperature the splitting ofR line was found and also three sharp-bands calledR, R′ andB lines are identified with spin-forbidden transitions of2 E,2 T 1 and2 T 2. The two broad bands calledU band andY band are assigned accordingly to the spin-allowed transitions4 T 2 and4 T 1 respectively. The observed bands of natural ruby have been attributed to Cr3+ ion in an octahedral environment with trigonal distortion. The crystal field parameters which gave a good fit to the observed band positions areB=732 cm−1,C=4.25B,Dq=1830 cm−1,V=−1996 cm−1 andλ=34 cm−1.  相似文献

We study CP asymmetries in rare B decays within supersymmetry with a U(2)3 flavour symmetry, motivated by the SUSY flavour and CP problems, the hierarchies in the Yukawa couplings and the absence so far of any direct evidence for SUSY. Even in the absence of flavour-blind phases, we find potentially sizable CP violating contributions to bs decay amplitudes. The effects in the mixing-induced CP asymmetries in BϕK S and BηK S , angular CP asymmetries in BK μ + μ and the direct CP asymmetry in BX s γ can be in the region to be probed by LHCb and next generation B factories. At the same time, these effects in B decays are compatible with CP violating contributions to meson mixing, including a non-standard B s mixing phase hinted by current tensions in the CKM fit mostly between SyKS, eKS_{\psi K_{S}}, \epsilon_{K} and DMBs/DMBd\Delta M_{B_{s}}/\Delta M_{B_{d}}.  相似文献
