提出了一种基于非线性ZnSe晶体产生的空心光束与光泳力的大尺寸粒子二维囚禁与一维导引、三维囚禁方案.理论上分析并计算了单个非线性ZnSe晶体产生的空心光束内粒子受到的横向与纵向光泳力,纵向光泳力的大小同粒子尺寸与光束尺寸比例的四次方成正比,与空心光束功率成正比,方向与光束传播方向一致.粒子尺寸与空心光束尺寸越接近时,横向光泳力的大小越大.结果表明该光泳力可以实现对大尺寸粒子的二维囚禁,同时可对粒子进行长距离(米量级)一维定向导引;理论上分析并计算了基于双非线性ZnSe晶体产生的局域空心光束内粒子所受横向与纵向光泳力情况,光泳力与系统参数的依赖关系与单个非线性晶体产生的空心光束中的粒子受力情况类似,不同的是该条件下纵向光泳力指向光束中心.结果表明该局域空心光束可以实现大尺寸粒子的三维有效囚禁.基于非线性ZnSe晶体产生的空心光束或者局域空心光束可以作为大尺寸粒子非接触式有效操控的工具,在现代光学以及生物医学中有潜在的应用.  相似文献

研究了两光束的合成方式(相干和非相干合成)对俘获金属瑞利粒子的辐射力和稳定性的影响,着重研究了辐射力与合成方式、离轴距离、相干参数和粒子半径的关系.结果表明,不同合成方式下,离轴距离和相干参数都分别存在临界值dc和αc,在0dc或α>αc时,焦面处光强呈中心凹陷分布,此时横向梯度力不能作为回复力俘获金属瑞利粒子.在0<ddc时,与非相干合成光束比较,相干合成光束在焦面处光强、辐射力、俘获刚性和纵向俘获范围更大.因此,适当选择合成方式,较小离轴距离和较低相干参数可有利于合成光束对金属瑞利粒子的俘获.  相似文献

By investigating the cross-spectral density of partially coherent multi-rotating elliptical Gaussian beams(REGBs) that propagate through a focusing optical system, we obtain the radiation force on a Rayleigh particle.The radiation force distribution is studied under different beam indexes, coherence widths, and elliptical ratios of the partially coherent multi REGBs. The transverse and the longitudinal trapping ranges can increase at the focal plane by increasing the beam index or decreasing the coherence width. The range of the trapped particle radii increases as the elliptical ratio increases. Furthermore, we analyze the trapping stability.  相似文献

Making use of the addition theorem for the cylindrical wave functions and the complex-source-point method in cylindrical coordinates, an exact solution to the Helmholtz equation is derived, which corresponds to a tightly focused (or collimated) cylindrical quasi-Gaussian beam with arbitrary waist. The solution is termed “quasi-Gaussian” to make a distinction from the standard Gaussian beam solution obtained in the paraxial approximation. The advantage of introducing this new solution is the efficient and fast computational modeling of tightly focused or quasi-collimated cylindrical wave-fronts depending on the dimensionless waist parameter kw0, where k is the wavenumber of the acoustical radiation. Moreover, a closed-form partial-wave series expansion is obtained for the incident field, which has the property that the axial scattering (i.e. along the direction of wave propagation) and the axial acoustic radiation force (which is a time-averaged quantity) on a cylinder, can be calculated without any approximations in the limit of linear acoustical waves in a nonviscous fluid. Examples are found where the extinction in the radiation force function plot is found to be correlated with conditions giving reduction of the backscattering from an elastic cylinder. Those results are useful in beam-forming design, particle manipulation in acoustic tweezers operating with focused cylindrical beams, and the prediction of the scattering and radiation forces on a cylindrical particle or liquid bridges.  相似文献

The phase Doppler anemometry has (PDA) been developed to measure simultaneously the velocity and the size of droplets. When the concentration of particles is high, tightly focused beams must be used, as in the dual burst PDA. The latter permits an access to the refractive index of the particle, but the effect of wave front curvature of the incident beams becomes evident. In this paper, we introduce a glare spot phase Doppler anemometry which uses two large beams. The images of the particle formed by the reflected and refracted light, known as glare spots, are separated in space. When a particle passes through the probe volume, the two parts in a signal obtained by a detector in forward direction are then separated in time. If two detectors are used the phase differences and the intensity ratios between two signals, the distance between the reflected and refracted spots can be obtained. These measured values provide information about the particle diameter and its refractive index, as well as its two velocity components. This paper is devoted to the numerical study of such a configuration with two theoretical models: geometrical optics and rigorous electromagnetism solution.  相似文献

The possibility of using acoustic Bessel beams to produce an axial pulling force on porous particles is examined in an exact manner. The mathematical model utilizes the appropriate partial-wave expansion method in spherical coordinates, while Biot's model is used to describe the wave motion within the poroelastic medium. Of particular interest here is to examine the feasibility of using Bessel beams for (a) acoustic manipulation of fine porous particles and (b) suppression of particle resonances. To verify the viability of the technique, the radiation force and scattering form-function are calculated for aluminum and silica foams at various porosities. Inspection of the results has shown that acoustic manipulation of low porosity (<0.3) spheres is similar to that of solid elastic spheres, but this behavior significantly changes at higher porosities. Results have also shown a strong correlation between the backscattered form-function and the regions of negative radiation force. It has also been observed that the high-order resonances of the particle can be effectively suppressed by choosing the beam conical angle such that the acoustic contribution from that particular mode vanishes. This investigation may be helpful in the development of acoustic tweezers for manipulation of micro-porous drug delivery carrier and contrast agents.  相似文献

The difficulty of the usual approach to deal with the radiation reaction is pointed out, and under the condition that the radiation force must be a function of the external force and is zero whenever the external force be zero, a new and straightforward approach to radiation reaction force and damping is proposed. Starting from the Larmor formula for the power radiated by an accelerated charged particle, written in terms of the applied force instead of the acceleration, an expression for the radiation force is established in general, and applied to the examples for the linear and circular motion of a charged particle. This expression is quadratic in the magnitude of the applied force, inversely proportional to the speed of the charged particle, and directed opposite to the velocity vector. This force approach may contribute to the solution of the very old problem of incorporating the radiation reaction to the motion of the charged particles, and future experiments may tell us whether or not this approach point is in the right direction.  相似文献

The present analysis investigates the (axial) acoustic radiation force induced by a quasi-Gaussian beam centered on an elastic and a viscoelastic (polymer-type) sphere in a nonviscous fluid. The quasi-Gaussian beam is an exact solution of the source free Helmholtz wave equation and is characterized by an arbitrary waist w0 and a diffraction convergence length known as the Rayleigh range zR. Examples are found where the radiation force unexpectedly approaches closely to zero at some of the elastic sphere’s resonance frequencies for kw0 ? 1 (where this range is of particular interest in describing strongly focused or divergent beams), which may produce particle immobilization along the axial direction. Moreover, the (quasi)vanishing behavior of the radiation force is found to be correlated with conditions giving extinction of the backscattering by the quasi-Gaussian beam. Furthermore, the mechanism for the quasi-zero force is studied theoretically by analyzing the contributions of the kinetic, potential and momentum flux energy densities and their density functions. It is found that all the components vanish simultaneously at the selected ka values for the nulls. However, for a viscoelastic sphere, acoustic absorption degrades the quasi-zero radiation force.  相似文献

Diffraction of uniformly polarized laser beams with vortex phase singularity is theoretically analyzed using the plane wave expansion. It is shown that for a high numerical aperture, an intense longitudinal electric field component is formed on the optical axis in this case. It is numerically demonstrated that an analogous effect is ensured for diffraction of a conventional Gaussian beam from asymmetric binary axicons. The field intensity on the optical axis can be varied either by rotating the optical element or by changing the direction of polarization of radiation.  相似文献

采用单电子模型和经典辐射理论分别对低能和高能电子在线偏振激光驻波场中的运动和辐射过程进行了研究. 结果表明: 垂直于激光电场方向入射的低速电子在激光驻波场中随着光强的增大, 逐渐从一维近周期运动演变为二维折叠运动, 并产生强的微米量级波长的太赫兹辐射; 高能电子垂直或者平行于激光电场方向入射到激光驻波场中, 都会产生波长在几个纳米的高频辐射; 低能电子与激光驻波场作用中, 激光强度影响着电子的运动形式、辐射频率以及辐射强度; 高能电子入射时, 激光强度影响了电子高频辐射的强度, 电子初始能量影响着辐射的频率; 电子能量越高, 产生的辐射频率越大. 研究表明可以由激光加速电子的方式得到不同能量的电子束, 并利用电子束在激光驻波场的辐射使之成为太赫兹和X射线波段的小型辐射源. 研究结果可以为实验研究和利用激光驻波场中的电子辐射提供依据.  相似文献

A localized modulated radiation force can be produced when two confocal ultrasound beams of nearly equal frequencies interfere in an attenuating medium such as tissue. It is well-established that this force generates both shear and longitudinal waves. By scanning the focal point over a plane and observing the propagation of these waves, the mechanical properties of the medium can be imaged. In this paper, the modulated radiation force is analytically derived in the case of attenuating media, by expanding on the theory of ultrasound-stimulated-vibro-acoustography (USVA) for lossless media. Furthermore, weak nonlinearities are considered in the formulation, since higher source pressures may prove to be necessary to improve the radiation-force profile – only the fundamental component is, however, studied in this paper. An analysis of the generated radiation force is performed and the effects of various parameters are investigated on its amplitude and spatial distribution. It will be shown that by carefully selecting the confocal geometry of the beams, as well as, the source pressure and center frequency, the spatial profile of the radiation force can be optimized. This, subsequently, could improve not only the resolution of the point-spread-function in USVA, but also, the profile of the shear waves in elastography applications.  相似文献

The motion of a relativistic charged particle in the presence of the field of high-power laser radiation represented in the form of a Gaussian beam of arbitrary mode is analyzed. The vector potential of the radiation field is expanded in terms of a small parameter (the ratio of the wavelength to the Gaussian beam waist). A specific feature of averaging with respect to the phases of the high-mode Gaussian beams is demonstrated. The averaged equations for the motion of particle and a general expression for the ponderomotive relativistic force for the circularly polarized radiation are derived. It is demonstrated that relativistic effects suppress the averaged action of high-power laser radiation on the particle.  相似文献

Compressing high-power laser beams in plasmas via generation of a coherent cascade of electromagnetic sidebands is described. The technique requires two copropagating beams detuned by a near-resonant frequency Omega approximately < omega(p). The ponderomotive force of the laser beat wave drives an electron plasma wave which modifies the refractive index of plasma so as to produce a periodic phase modulation of the laser field with the beat period tau(b) = 2pi/Omega. A train of chirped laser beat notes (each of duration tau(b)) is thus created. The group velocity dispersion of radiation in plasma can then compress each beat note to a few-laser-cycle duration. As a result, a train of sharp electromagnetic spikes separated in time by tau(b) is formed. Depending on the plasma and laser parameters, chirping and compression can be implemented either concurrently in the same plasma or sequentially in different plasmas.  相似文献

Transmission fluctuation spectrometry with spatial correlation (TFS‐SC) is based on transmitting two beams of radiation through a flowing suspension, whereby the distance of the beam centers is varied. Thus, the spatial correlation of the transmission fluctuations of the two beams is determined as a function of the beam distance. By numerical modeling, the transition functions of the correlation are found as a function of beam distance, beam diameters, particle diameter and beam intersection angle. Experimentally determined spatial correlation spectra can be inverted to obtain the particle concentration and particle size distribution by using the theoretical transition functions for mono‐sized particles. In addition, time correlations can be used to extract information on particle velocity. Some experimental results obtained by TFS‐SC are presented and discussed. This method appears promising for application in the local resolving of measurements of PSD, particle concentration and particle velocity in two‐phase flows, both in the laboratory and in process control.  相似文献

We predict that two electron beams can develop an instability when passing through a slab of left-handed media (LHM). This instability, which is inherent only for LHM, originates from the backward Cherenkov radiation and results in a self-modulation of the beams and radiation of electromagnetic waves. These waves leave the sample via the rear surface of the slab (the beam injection plane) and form two shifted bright circles centered at the beams. A simulated spectrum of radiation has well-separated lines on top of a broad continuous spectrum, which indicates dynamical chaos in the system. The radiation intensity and its spectrum can be controlled either by the beams' current or by the distance between the two beams.  相似文献

应用部分相干理论推导了部分相干贝塞尔涡旋光束经过透镜聚焦后的光强分布表达式。在雷利散射范围内,利用光作用在介质球上的梯度力和散射力公式,主要讨论了拓扑荷数、相干长度、参数α以及介质球的大小选择对于梯度力和散射力的影响。数值模拟结果表明,作用在介质球上的梯度力和散射力随着拓扑荷数、相干长度或参数α的增大而减小。当拓扑荷数为0,1时,稳定的3维光阱能被获得,并且能被应用于操控折射率低于周围媒介的粒子。  相似文献

Radiation pressure induced by an evanescent field was experimentally analyzed for a single submicrometer-sized gold particle. The force measurement was based on a thermodynamic analysis of Brownian motion by use of a three-dimensional position-sensing technique. The lateral radiation pressure could be ascribed to a scattering force, which was oriented in the same direction as the propagation vector of the incident laser beam. The potential profile in the longitudinal direction indicated that the gold particle was attracted to the high-intensity region of the evanescent field by a gradient force.  相似文献

Coherence properties of primary partially coherent radiations (light, X-rays and particles) elastically scattered from a 3D object consisting of a collection of electrons and nuclei are analyzed in the Fresnel diffraction region and in the far field. The behaviour of the cross-spectral density of the scattered radiation transverse and along to the local direction of propagation is shown to be described by respectively the 3D Fourier and Fresnel transform of the generalized radiance function of a scattering secondary source associated with the object. A relativistic correct expression is derived for the mutual coherence function of radiation which takes account of the dispersive propagation of particle beams in vacuum. An effect of the spatial coherence of radiation on the temporal one is found; in the Fresnel diffraction region, in distinction to the field, both the longitudinal spatial coherence and the spectral width of radiation affect the longitudinal coherence. A solution of the 3D inverse scattering problem for partially coherent radiation is presented. It is shown that squared modulus of the scattering potential and its 2D projections can be reconstructed from measurements of the modulus and phase of the degree of transverse spatial coherence of the scattered radiation. The results provide a theoretical basis for new methods of image formation and structure analysis in X-ray, electron, ion, and neutron optics.  相似文献

从声波的散射理论出发,利用级数展开法得到高斯波束的波束因子,推导其对阻抗边界下离轴球形粒子声辐射力.针对刚性球与液体球两种球形粒子进行数值模拟,与自由空间的情况进行比较.讨论边界反射系数、粒子与边界距离、束腰半径以及离轴角度与距离等对声辐射力的影响.仿真结果表明:边界反射系数的增大会引起声辐射力的增加,但不改变峰值的位置;在合适的频率处,可以产生负向声辐射力;声辐射力随粒子与边界距离呈周期性变化;束腰半径的影响主要体现在中高频;随着粒子偏离传播轴的距离和角度增大,声辐射力明显衰减.该研究为利用高斯波束实现对粒子的操纵提供理论基础.  相似文献
