We analyze entanglement dynamics and transfer in a system composed of two initially correlated two-level atoms, in which each atom is coupled with another atom interacting with its own reservoir. Considering atomic dipole-dipole interactions, the results show that dipole-dipole interactions restrain the entanglement birth of the reservoirs, and a parametric region of dipole-dipole interaction strength exists in which the maximal entanglement of two initially uncorrelated atoms is reduced. The transfer of entanglement shows obvious different behaviors in two initial Bell-like states.  相似文献

We have studied entanglement evolution and transfer in a double Tavis--Cumming model where two pairs of entangled two-level atoms AB and CD interact with two single-mode cavity fields a and b. We show that the Bell-like initial state of atoms AB can exhibit entanglement sudden death which should be independent of the initial entanglement of atoms CD. Also, we show that the initial entanglement of one atomic pair can be transferred into another pair, as well as the possible subsystems, that become entangled during evolution.  相似文献

Considering two identical two-level atoms interacting with two mode thermalfield through a nondegerate two-photon process, we study the entanglement dynamics between two atoms when the atomic coherence exists. It shows that the entanglement is dependent on the initial atomic states, and is greatlyenhanced due to atomic coherence as compared with the case when the atomic coherence is ignored. The results also show that the entanglement can be controlled by changing the relative phases and the amplitudes of the polarized atoms.  相似文献

We examine the entanglement dynamics between two strongly driven atoms off-resonantly coupled with a single-mode cavity via the two-photon process with the help of negativity in two different types of initial states. The results show that entanglement sudden death may occur under both the above conditions and the sudden death effect can be monitored by modulating the atom--cavity detunings. Furthermore, we also find an atomic decoherence-free subspace so that the initial entanglement between two atoms remains invariable in application.  相似文献

We consider the non-markovian entanglement dynamics of two independent atoms, each off-resonantly coupling with a zero temperature reservoir. For two types of initial entanglement, corresponding to spin correlated and anti-correlated Bell-like states |φ〉 and |ψ〉, we study the dependence of the two-qubit entanglement transfer on both the off-resonant interactions and the cavity pseudomode decay. The speed of the entanglement transfer is related to the choice of the atom detuning from the cavity pseudomode, the cavity pseudomode decay and the relative coupling. Furthermore, compared to the ideal cavities, entanglement transfer and sudden death can not be prevented using off-resonant interactions in the lossy cavities, and the conservation rules are always satisfied in the off-resonant and lossy system.  相似文献

We report possibility of generating entanglement and steady entanglement between two identical atoms in free space with a very natural way when their spatial separation is on the order of wavelength or less. We show a dynamical creation of entanglement and steady entanglement due to the radiative coupling with different separable initial atomic states and study the entanglement properties about this atomic subsystem. Not only the creation of steady state entanglement is decided by the initial atomic states, but also the magnitude of the entanglement and the steady state entanglement are found to be strongly dependent on the initial states. We derive a master equation for the atomic subspace and solve it analytically to show how the spontaneous emission from the two atoms system induces entanglement and steady entanglement, the crossing coupling terms in master equation can enhance the entanglement value.  相似文献

Two atomic clusters, which have NA and Ns two-level atoms, respectively, are placed in a cavity but separated spatially. There is no direct interaction between the atoms. All the atoms interact with a single-mode of the cavity field. Quantum entanglement between the two atomic clusters is investigated for various initial states of the two atomic clusters and the field. When the cavity field is initially in a Fock state, we find that the time evolution of entanglement quasi-periodically oscillates regardless of the initial states of atoms. The oscillation period increases as the initial photon number increases. When all the atoms in both of the atomic clusters are initially in the excited state, we show that there is no entanglement between the atomic clusters with NA = NB = 1 regardless the initial state of the cavity field. However, when either NA or NB is larger than one, we find that the entanglement always exists even for a strong thermal field. In cases with different initial states of the atomic clusters, we notice that the entanglement becomes stronger as number of the atoms increases. When all the atoms in both of the clusters in the ground state, we also find that the entanglement can be enhanced even by a thermal field. We also notice that a single qubit can be entangled with multi-atoms which are initially in the ground state by the cavity field initially being in vacuum, thermal, coherent, and squeezed states.  相似文献

Finding the most robust entangled states during the whole process of decoherence is a particularly fundamental problem for quantum physics and quantum information processing. In this paper, the decoherence process of two-qubit system under two individual identical decoherence channels is investigated systematically. We find that although the robustness of two-qubit states with same initial entanglement is usually different, the Bell-like states are always the most robust entangled states during decoherence. That is to say, affected by the same amount of noise, the remain entanglement of an arbitrary two-qubit state is not more than that of a Bell-like state with the same initial entanglement.  相似文献

Sudden birth of entanglement between two initially separate atoms interacting with two entangled photons in a double JC model is investigated, and the influences of different atomic initial states on entanglement among atoms are discussed. The results show that sudden birth of entanglement can occur when the two atoms are initially in excited states.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the interaction between two Λ-type three-level atoms (a typical qutrit-qutrit system) and two coupled modes of a quantized radiation field in the presence of field-field interaction (parametric down conversion) which are simultaneously injected within an optical cavity. Then, by applying an appropriate canonical transformation, the introduced model is reduced to a well-known form of the generalized Jaynes-Cummings model. Under particular initial conditions for atoms (in some possible states) and the fields (in the finite dimensional pair coherent state) which may be prepared, the explicit form of the state vector of the whole system is analytically evaluated. In order to find the degree of entanglement between different parts of subsystems (“atom+atom”-field, “atom+field”-atom and atom-atom) the dynamics of entanglement through different measures, namely, linear entropy and negativity is evaluated. In each case, the effect of various types of initial atomic states on the above measures are numerically analyzed, in detail. It is indicated that the amount of entanglement can be tuned by choosing appropriate initial states of atoms. Particularly, it is shown that the entanglement sudden death (ESD) can be controlled by adjusting the initial state of the atoms.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of entanglement of two initially separate atoms passing through a cavity one after another by employing the concurrence and negativity. The effects of the atomic coherence and mean photon number on the time evolution of atom-atom entanglement are examined when the field is initially in thermal field. We show that the phenomenon of sudden birth of entanglement occurs in some certain conditions and the threshold time for the creation of the entanglement can be controlled by the atomic coherence and mean photon number of the field. It is also shown that the entanglement between two atoms can be created even if the two atoms are initially in excited states.  相似文献

We have studied the dynamics and transfer of the entanglement of the two identical atoms simultaneously interacting with vacuum field by employing the dressed-state representation. The two atoms are driven by classical fields. The influence of the initial entanglement degree of two atoms, the coupling strength between the atom and the classical field and the detuning between the atomic transition frequency and the frequency of classical field on the entanglement and atomic linear entropy is discussed. The initial entanglement of the two atoms can be transferred into the entanglement between the atom and cavity field when the dissipation is neglected. The maximally entangled state between the atoms and cavity field can be obtained under some certain conditions. The time of disentanglement of two atoms can be controlled and manipulated by adjusting the detuning and classical driving fields. Moreover, the larger the cavity decay rate is, the more quickly the entanglement of the two atoms decays.  相似文献

We investigate two identical Λ-type atoms in free space, and focus on the entanglement between the two atoms. We derive a master equation for the atomic subspace and solve it analytically to show how the spontaneous emission from the two atoms system induces entanglement. The magnitude of the entanglement and the steady state entanglement are found to be strongly dependent on the initial states and the orientation of the dipoles of the two atoms.  相似文献

Spontaneous emission as a potential tool for creation of entanglement between two atoms is investigated. We assume that the atoms are coupled to the same environment and study entanglement engineering between the atoms and its transfer between different states. The role of the atomic coherence induced by spontaneous emission will be explored which, in contrast to what is generally believed, can create entanglement between initially unentangled atoms. We quantify entanglement by the concurrence and find that it exhibits threshold properties that can lead to interesting noncontinuous phenomena of sudden birth and sudden death of entanglement. In addition, we consider the mechanism involved in creation of entanglement between distant atoms coupled to a single-mode cavity field. We include a possible variation of the coupling constants between the atoms and the cavity mode with location of the atoms in a standing-wave cavity mode. Effectively, we engineer two coupled atoms whose the dynamics are analogous to that of interacting and collectively damped two nonidentical atoms. We illustrate the interesting result that spatial variations of the coupling constants can lead to a stationary entanglement between the atoms. We explain this effect in terms of the trapping phenomenon of atomic population in a non-decaying entangled state.  相似文献

We investigate the time evolution and asymptotic behavior of a system of two two-level atoms (qubits) interacting off-resonance with a single mode radiation field. The two atoms are coupled to each other through dipole–dipole as well as Ising interactions. An exact analytic solution for the system dynamics that spans the entire phase space is provided. We focus on initial states that cause the system to evolve to entanglement sudden death (ESD) between the two atoms. We find that combining the Ising and dipole–dipole interactions is very powerful in controlling the entanglement dynamics and ESD compared with either one of them separately. Their effects on eliminating ESD may add up constructively or destructively depending on the type of Ising interaction (Ferromagnetic or anti-Ferromagnetic), the detuning parameter value, and the initial state of the system. The asymptotic behavior of the ESD is found to depend substantially on the initial state of the system, where ESD can be entirely eliminated by tuning the system parameters except in the case of an initial correlated Bell state. Interestingly, the entanglement, atomic population and quantum correlation between the two atoms and the field synchronize and reach asymptotically quasi-steady dynamic states. Each one of them ends up as a continuous irregular oscillation, where the collapse periods vanish, with a limited amplitude and an approximately constant mean value that depend on the initial state and the system parameters choice. This indicates an asymptotic continuous exchange of energy (and strong quantum correlation) between the atoms and the field takes place, accompanied by diminished ESD for these chosen setups of the system. This system can be realized in spin states of quantum dots or Rydberg atoms in optical cavities, and superconducting or hybrid qubits in linear resonators.  相似文献

We study quantum entanglement between two spatially separated atoms coupled to the thermal reservoir. The influences of the initial state of the system, the atomic frequency difference and the mean number of the thermal field on the entanglement are examined. The results show that the maximum of the entanglement obtained with nonidentical atoms is greater than that obtained with identical atoms. The degree of entanglement is progressively decreased with the increase of the thermal noise. Interestingly, the two atoms can be easily entangled even when the two atoms are initially prepared in the most mixed states.  相似文献

This paper investigates the periodic death and anabiosis of the entanglement between two moving atoms interacting with the mode field, and discusses the influences of the atomic motion and the parameter of the mode field. The results show that, the atomic motion leads to the periodic death and anabiosis of the entanglement between two moving atoms, the time of the death and the amplitude of the anabiosis of the entanglement between two moving atoms depend on the initial states of two moving atoms and the parameter of the mode field.  相似文献
