A high repetition rate,compact micro-pulse all-solid-state laser is designed.The diffusion bonded crystal of YAG,Nd:YAG,and Cr~(4 ):YAG is taken as a monolithic cavity.The optimized initial transmission, output coupling,and pumping size of Cr~(4 ):YAG are calculated.The experimental results show that the laser satisfies the requirement of a spaceborne laser range finder.  相似文献

A laser-diode pumped passive Q-switched Nd:YAG/Cr~(4+):YAG laser with quick tunable pulse-width capability is studied and experimentally demonstrated. By focusing the auxiliary controlling laser beam onto a Cr~(4+):YAG crystal and thereby changing the initial transmission of the Cr~(4+):YAG crystal, laser pulses with different pulse widths can be achieved. The obtained laser pulse width is tunable in the range of 550–1492 ps with a fixed cavity length of 7 mm. The laser can be used to achieve different pulse widths between two pulses in the range of sub-nanosecond to a few tens of nanoseconds.  相似文献

In this paper, a highly efficient Ti:sapphire end-pumped 1 at.-% Nd:YAG ceramic laser that is comparable in efficiency with Nd:YAG single crystal lasers has been developed. Optical absorption and emission spectra for Nd:YAG ceramics have been measured. With 673-mW pumping, 295-mW laser output at 1064 nm has been obtained. The laser threshold is only 13 mW. Deducted the transmitted light, the corresponding optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is 58.4%. The lasing characteristics of Nd:YAG ceramic are nearly equal to those of Nd:YAG single crystal.  相似文献

A compact passively Q-switched Yb:YAG microchip laser is demonstrated.Featuring a semiconductor saturable-absorber mirror(SESAM),the laser yields pulses of 219 ps when the length of the microchip Yb:YAG crystal is 100 μm and the beam quality is M2< 1.3.To the best of our knowledge,pulses from the proposed laser are the shortest Q-switching pulses obtained from Yb:YAG microchip lasers currently available.  相似文献

We report a continuous-wave (CW) 2.1-μm Ho:YAG laser operating at room temperature pumped by a diode-pumped 1.94-μm Tm:YAP laser.The maximum output power of 1.5 W is obtained from Ho:YAG laser,corresponding to Tm-to-Ho slope efficiency of 17.9%and diode-to-Ho conversion efficiency of 5.6%.  相似文献

We report on the spectral properties of Cr,Yb:YAG crystal co-doped with 0.025 at.% Cr and 10 at.% Yb are reported.Using a continuous wave Ti:sapphire laser as a pumping source,we have demonstrated the self-Q-switched Cr,Yb:YAG laser at room temperature.We obtained an average output power as much as 75mW at 1.03μm with a pulse width (FWHM)as short as 0.4μs.The laser experiment demonstrated that the Cr,Yb:YAG crystal exactly combines the Cr^4 saturable absorber and Yb^3 gain medium.The Cr,Yb:YAG crystal can be a most promising self-Q-switched laser crystal for compact and efficient solid-state lasers.  相似文献

We evaluate the ablation thresholds of Er:YAG and Er,Cr:YSGG laser for enamel and dentin.A total of 140 dental slices is evenly divided into two groups:the dentin group and the enamel group.Dental tissues are irradiated with either an Er:YAG laser or an Er,Cr:YSGG laser with pulse widths in the order of 100 μs.The laser fluence is increased gradually until the ablation crater is formed.The laser ablation threshold is calculated using probit analysis.The ablation thresholds of the Er:YAG laser for dentin and enamel range from 2.88 to 3.36 J/cm2 and from 2.94 to 3.8 J/cm2,respectively,and the ablation thresholds of the Er,Cr:YSGG laser for dentin and enamel range from 2.92 to 4.2 J/cm2 and from 4.93 to 5.66 J/cm2,respectively.  相似文献

We demonstrate the improvements of both beam quality and thermal depolarization loss of an all-solid-state heat-capacity Nd:YAG laser with repetition rate of 50Hz, for the first time to our best knowledge, compared with the conventional steady-state laser. The beam quality of the heat-capacity laser has been improved three times higher than the conventional steady-state laser within the lasing periods of 60s. The depolarization loss caused by thermo-optical effects which is definitely considerable in steady-state Nd:YAG laser has almost not been observed under heat-capacity operation. Design and operations of the all-solid-state heat-capacity Nd: YAG laser with average output power of 25 W with repetition 50 Hz are also studied with the optical-to-optical efficiency of 33.3%.  相似文献

分析了影响激光二极管抽运Yb:YAG激光器调Q效率的参量,推导了激光二极管端面脉冲抽运Yb:YAG晶体的速率方程,解出了双程抽运情况下的净抽运量子产率。利用数值计算方法,模拟了净抽运量子产率与晶体长度,抽运光脉冲宽度等关系,得出晶体长度的优化可以提高Yb:YAG激光器输出效率。计算了词Q Yb:YAG激光器的最大增益、最大储能,分析了放大自发辐射对于Yb:YAG能量存储的影响。同时给出了激光二极管端面抽运调Q Yb:YAG优化设计方法。这些分析和计算为实际器件的研制提供参考。  相似文献

在理论上提出了Cr^4+:YAG作为可饱和吸收体在Nd:YAG激光器中实现被动锁模的可能性,运用速率方程组导出在强激光脉冲作用下Cr^4+:YAG激发态吸收的恢复时间和饱和光强。实验上在带有抗共振环结构的接近于介稳腔的脉冲式Nd:YAG激光器中用Cr^4+:YAG作为可饱和吸收体实现被动锁模运转,得到能量13.5mJ、平均脉宽180ps的锁模脉冲序列。  相似文献

研制了无温控多波长激光二极管阵列端面泵浦Nd:YAG电光调Q激光器。采用4 000 W多波长准连续激光二极管阵列作为泵浦源,快轴准直镜与透镜导管作为泵浦耦合系统,端面泵浦φ6 mm×60 mm的Nd:YAG晶体,并采用RTP晶体进行电光调Q实验。在重复频率5 Hz、室温(25℃)时,激光器获得了最大输出能量74.4 mJ、脉宽15 ns的1 064 nm脉冲激光输出,光光转换效率达到11%。在25~55℃的工作温度下,对多波长LDA的光谱特征与激光器的输出特性作了测试,激光器输出能量随着工作温度的上升而先迅速下降再逐步保持稳定,当重复频率分别为5 Hz和10 Hz时,激光器对应的最低输出能量分别为48 mJ与37 mJ。  相似文献

采用侧面环绕均匀排布的紧凑型抽运结构,实现了激光二极管阵列侧向抽运Nd∶YAG陶瓷激光器高效率激光输出。理论计算得到谐振腔输出镜的最佳输出耦合透射率为22.2%,并在输出耦合镜透射率为22%的条件下,用掺杂原子数分数为1%,尺寸为5mm×75mm的Nd∶YAG陶瓷棒,获得了平均功率大于230W的准连续1064nm激光输出,其光光效率和斜率效率分别高达52.4%和61%。并测得输出激光脉冲宽度为160μs,光谱线宽略小于0.8nm,光束发散角为16mrad。实验结果显示,Nd∶YAG陶瓷激光器输出功率Nd∶YAG单晶激光器相当。  相似文献

报道了用两个1.5W激光二极管偏振耦合端面泵浦的声光调Q内腔倍频Nd:YAG激光器。输出532nm绿光重复频率1KHz时,最大峰值功率为2.23KW,最窄脉宽为18ns,平均功率40mW。最高重复频率30KHz。重复频率15kHZ时,最高平均率128mW。对声光调Q内倍频Nd:YAG激光器的动态特性进行了理论分析及计算。  相似文献
