基于六角形和球形冰晶模型的卷云辐射特征研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
卷云中冰晶粒子的单次光散射计算是卷云辐射传输及云微物理参数反演的重要基础。近年,利用高观测频率的静止气象卫星数据来反演水云和卷云的光学和微物理参数,进而计算地表光通量的研究倍受重视。然而,很多研究中卷云的冰晶用球形模型来模拟。由于不同形状和尺度大小的冰晶对电磁波的散射特征的不同,导致不同冰晶模型计算的卷云环境下卫星观测的辐射值及地表光通量的不同。利用不同尺度大小和电磁波波长的球形和六角形冰晶的单次散射数据,结合RSTAR辐射传输模式来定量分析了卷云环境下不同形状的冰晶模型对计算卫星观测的辐射和地表光通量中的影响。结果显示利用不同形状的冰晶模块来计算的卫星观测的辐射,地表向下辐射通量明显不同。波长在0.4~1.0 μm之间的大气窗口部分的光谱辐射通量的差距最大。总辐射通量受云粒子形状的影响显著。研究证实了正确选择冰晶模型对卫星反演卷云微物理和光学参数的反演及计算地表光通量的重要性。该结果对于云微物理参数的反演及地表向下辐射通量的模拟具有参考价值。  相似文献

We performed combined radiometric and radar measurements of the integral water content of a small-drop fraction of rain cloud systems with allowance for the multiple scattering phenomena. The contribution of rain to emission of the “cloud-rain” system was calculated on the basis of the vector equation of radiation transfer, which enabled us to allow for all orders of multiple scattering by spherical rain drops within the framework of the model of statistically independent particles. It was found that the maximum of the integral water content of overcooled water in clouds does not correspond to the maximum of precipitation intensity. The characteristic values of the integral and specific water contents of a small-drop water fraction in cloud systems with precipitation are measured. A fast Monte Carlo simulation scheme is developed to assess the impact of multiple scattering on space-based lidar backscattering depolarization measurements. The specific application of our methodology is to determine cloud thermodynamic phase from satellite-based lidar depolarization measurements. Model results indicate that multiple scattering significantly depolarizes backscatter return from water clouds. Multiple scattering depolarization is less significant for non-spherical particles. There are sharp contrasts in the depolarization profile between a layer of spherical particles and a layer of non-spherical particles. Although it is not as obvious as ground-based lidar observations, it is likely that we can identify cloud phase not only for a uniform cloud layer, but also for overlapping cloud layers where one layer contains ice and the other water droplets.  相似文献

基于几何光学和辐射理论,研究了空间卫星的可见光散射特性.空间卫星的背景辐射主要包括太阳的直接辐射和地球及大气的散射辐射,根据目标的结构特性与背景特性建立了空间卫星的几何模型和光照模型.分析目标表面状况,入射到目标表面的光线近似服从高次余弦散射分布,根据能量守恒定理及表面材料的高次余弦散射分布特性建立了目标散射特性的数学模型.通过矢量坐标变换确定太阳、地球、观测卫星在目标本体坐标系下的相对位置关系.根据给定的几何尺寸和表面物性参量仿真获得了目标在探测器入瞳处的能量分布及星等特征,目标本体与太阳帆板在探测器入瞳处的辐照度最大量级均为10-12 W/m2.仿真结果表明太阳帆板在目标特性分析时不可忽略,为空间目标的可见光探测提供参考数据.  相似文献

相对于传统的光学遥感, 多角度偏振遥感不仅可以获取辐射强度信息, 而且可以获取偏振强度信息. 基于多角度偏振卫星载荷观测的中国典型地物的偏振反射率数据, 获取了地表偏振双向反射模型——Nadal模型的中国区域模型参数值. 在此基础上, 基于修正的Nadal模型研究了中国区域森林、草地、沙漠三种典型地物的多角度偏振特性. 研究表明: 1)各地物的偏振反射率均随着散射角的增大而减小, 随着太阳天顶角和卫星观测天顶角的增大而增大; 2)森林、草地和沙漠三种典型地表偏振反射率存在明显差别, 森林的偏振反射率最低, 草地的偏振反射率次之, 沙漠的偏振反射率大约为森林的两倍; 3)不同地物之间的偏振反射率差值均随着卫星观测天顶角和太阳天顶角的增大而增大. 研究结果可为基于多角度偏振遥感数据探测地表偏振特性和反演气溶胶参数提供先验知识.  相似文献

Although it has long been recognized that the effects of photon multiple scattering generally need to be accounted for in the analysis of lidar cloud returns, this is a difficult problem and current approaches are still rudimentary. The multiple scattering process is controlled by the size of the lidar beamwidth and the distance to the cloud, which jointly determine the lidar footprint, but cloud microphysical content (i.e., particle size, concentration, and shape) exerts a strong influence on the range distribution and depolarization of the returned energy. Since clouds are inherently inhomogeneous with height, it is our premise that vertically homogeneous cloud simulations based on idealized particle size distributions lead to misleading results. We offer a more realistic approach based on the contents of growing water droplet clouds predicted by a sophisticated adiabatic cloud model, which are offered for use as new standard vertically-inhomogeneous cloud models. A coherent scattering of electromagnetic waves by clusters of inertial Rayleigh particles in atmospheric turbulence is considered. A preliminary estimate based on the Maxwell-Garnett theory and the Rayleigh approximation for single clusters demonstrates an importance of the coherent scattering contribution. It is confirmed by a general solution in a combination with theoretical estimates for the two-point probability density function for low-inertia spherical particles in isotropic turbulence. An approximate analytical expression for the coefficient characterizing effect of coherent scattering by the particle clusters is derived. The calculations for small Stokes numbers typical of water droplets in cumulus clouds yield an estimate of the coherent scattering effect on the microwave radar reflection. The model suggested allows solving the inverse problem to determine the pair correlation function for cloud particles. It is expected to be important for the investigations on particle–turbulence interaction in the atmosphere. The theoretical model developed is true not only in the limit of low-inertia particles and can be potentially used at arbitrary Stokes numbers in other applications.  相似文献

We present the results of spectral studies of thermal microwave emission from a cloudy atmosphere at 37 and 85 GHz. The experimental data are interpreted on the basis of modeling of microwave radiation transfer in the mixed-type clouds containing ice crystals of different shapes and supercooled water drops. All orders of scattering are taken into account. It is shown that polarization radiometric measurements allow one to separately determine ice-water and liquid-water contents of the clouds and also to diagnose the cloud microstructure (crystal shapes and characteristic sizes).  相似文献

The phase variation of lines in the 7820 and 7883 Å CO2 bands has been interpreted by Hunt using an inhomogeneous, anisotropic scattering model of the Venus atmosphere. He concluded that the Venus atmosphere contains two scattering layers. We show that the observed phase variation may be due to the strong backward lobe in the Venus cloud phase function and that two cloud layers are not necessarily required.  相似文献

In this article, brightness temperatures observed by channels of the Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit-B (AMSU-B) instrument are compared to those simulated by a radiative transfer model, which can take into account the multiple scattering due to ice particles by using a discrete ordinate iterative solution method. The input fields, namely, the pressure, temperature, humidity, and cloud water content are taken from the short range forecast from the Met Office mesoscale model (UKMES). The comparison was made for a case study on the 25 January 2002 when a frontal system associated with significant cloud was present over the UK. It is demonstrated that liquid clouds have maximum impact on channel 16 of AMSU whereas ice clouds have maximum impact on channel 20. The main uncertainty for simulating microwave radiances is the assumptions about microphysical properties, such as size distribution, shape and orientation of the cloud particles, which are not known in the mesoscale model. The article examines the impact of these parameters on the cloud signal. The polarisation signal due to oriented ice particles at these frequencies is also discussed.  相似文献

提出了计算浅海波导中复杂目标散射的数值方法:简正波-Kirchhoff近似混合方法。通过把目标散射的Kirchhoff近似方法和简正波声传播模型相结合,可对大尺寸复杂目标在浅海波导中的散射声场进行计算。以浅海波导中刚性球体散射的解析解为标准解验证了本方法,说明简正波-Kirchhoff近似混合方法是有一定计算精度的工程预报方法。数值计算Pekeris浅海波导中球体目标散射声场在深度-频率平面和距离-频率平面上的二维干涉结构及其与自由空间中的差异。进而通过FFT获得目标时域回波随深度的分布图,分析浅海波导中目标姿态、声速剖面对Benchmark潜艇目标散射的影响。   相似文献

利用被动差分吸收光谱算法反演水体上方尤其是海洋上方的大气痕量气体浓度时, 水体的振动拉曼散射导致对太阳光谱中夫琅禾费线的填充.若不考虑这种类似大气Ring效应的水Ring效应, 会直接影响反演精度. 参考OMI传感器对大气Ring效应校正的卷积算法, 针对痕量气体OClO的反演, 利用经过大气消光计算后的太阳 360–400 nm入射光谱和对应波段的水体后向振动拉曼散射系数,通过卷积差分计算,得到了差分水 Ring效应系数. 与Vasilkov模型计算得到的结果比较,二者的相关系数R 达到0.9665. 关键词: 水Ring效应 振动拉曼散射 卷积 被动差分吸收光谱算法  相似文献

基于辐射传输理论, 利用蒙特卡罗方法模拟了无限窄(冲击函数)准直光束入射到典型水云以及冰水双层云时的后向散射特性, 进而将得到的冲击响应与高斯光束卷积, 得到高斯光束在云层中传输的多次散射特性. 文中给出了两种波束入射时水云以及冰水双层云的反射函数随径向r和天顶角α的变化关系, 并给出了光强在云层内部的二维分布图. 计算结果表明, 高斯光束入射时, 云层反射函数的特点与无限窄准直光束入射时有较大区别. 因此在利用激光雷达进行云层探测时需要考虑激光的散斑, 文中的方法可以为此提供理论依据.  相似文献

Measurements from depolarized lidars provide a promising method to retrieve both cloud and aerosol properties and a versatile complement to passive satellite-based sensors. For lidar observations of clouds and aerosols, multiple scattering plays an important role in the scattering process. Monte Carlo simulations are carried out to investigate the sensitivity of lidar backscattering depolarization to cloud and aerosol properties. Lidar parameters are chosen to be similar to those of the upcoming space-based CALIPSO lidar. Cases are considered that consist of a single cloud or aerosol layer, as well as a case in which cirrus clouds overlay different types of aerosols. It is demonstrated that besides thermodynamic cloud phase, the depolarized lidar signal may provide additional information on ice or aerosol particle shapes. However, our results show little sensitivity to ice or aerosol particle sizes. Additionally, for the case of multiple but overlapping layers involving both clouds and aerosols, the depolarized lidar contains information that can help identify the particle properties of each layer.  相似文献

The mixture of water cloud droplets with black carbon impurities is modeled by external and internal mixing models.The internal mixing model is modeled with a two-layered sphere(water cloud droplets containing black carbon(BC) inclusions),and the single scattering and absorption characteristics are calculated at the visible wavelength of 0.55 μm by using the Lorenz-Mie theory.The external mixing model is developed assuming that the same amount of BC particles are mixed with the water droplets externally.The multiple scattering characteristics are computed by using the Monte Carlo method.The results show that when the size of the BC aerosol is small,the reflection intensity of the internal mixing model is bigger than that of the external mixing model.However,if the size of the BC aerosol is big,the absorption of the internal mixing model will be larger than that of the external mixing model.  相似文献

The main features of a Monte Carlo code developed to deal with polarization of lidar returns from water clouds in multiple scattering regime are described. The paper presents an example of results pertaining to a stratified cloud structure, and a series of comparisons of calculation results with measurements carried out in the laboratory. A simple analytical formulation is presented for describing radiative transfer due to atmospheric water vapor. The radiative model is then applied to a global energy balance for earth, and the net infrared flux to space is expressed in terms of the mean surface temperature and atmospheric lapse rate. Water vapor and clouds are assumed to be the only sources of infrared opacity. When compared with empirical information, and for a global mean surface temperature of 288 K, the radiative model indicates a cloud top altitude for a single effective cloud of 6·8 km. Alternatively, when applied to a more realistic three-cloud formulation, the model predicts a comparable value of 6·5 km for an average cloud top altitude.With respect to changes in mean surface temperature, again comparing with empirical results, a discussion relating to the model suggests that the cloud top altitude decreases with decreasing surface temperature, which results in the surface temperature being roughly twice as sensitive to changes in factors such as planetary albedo than for the conventional assumption of a fixed cloud top altitude. Implications of this are discussed with respect to possible albedo changes due to atmospheric particulate matter as well as cloudiness as a climate feedback mechanism.  相似文献

基于大气物理学研究了水云云滴增长过程中的粒谱及散射特性.研究结果表明,凝结增长使粒谱半高宽和有效半径不断增加,碰并增长使粒谱出现多峰分布,有效半径增加.在凝结增长和碰并增长共同作用下,有效半径的平均增长速率为8 nm/s.凝结增长和碰并增长单独作用下,消光系数和散射系数随时间呈线性变化.在二者共同作用下,除3.2 mm波长外,消光系数和散射系数随时间呈指数增长;1.064, 2.2, 3.7, 12和22μm波长的不对称因子逐渐趋于稳定,200μm的不对称因子呈指数增长,3.2 mm的不对称因子基本保持不变;1.064和2.2μm波长的雷达比在20 sr附近波动,3.7μm波长的雷达比呈大幅振荡.云滴增长过程中,水云在1.064, 2.2和3.7μm波长的单次散射反照率逐渐降低,在12μm, 22μm, 200μm和3.2 mm波长的单次散射反照率逐渐增加,波长指数的绝对值逐渐减小.研究结果可为天气预报、地气辐射平衡研究和遥感数据校正提供重要的参考.  相似文献

A recently developed analytical optical coherence tomography (OCT) model [Thrane et al., J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 17, 484 (2000)] allows the extraction of optical scattering parameters from OCT images, thereby permitting attenuation compensation in those images. By expanding this theoretical model, we have developed a new method for extracting optical scattering parameters from multilayered tissue structures in vivo. To verify this, we used a Monte Carlo (MC) OCT model as a numerical phantom to simulate the OCT signal for heterogeneous multilayered tissue. Excellent agreement between the extracted values of the optical scattering properties of the different layers and the corresponding input reference values of the MC simulation was obtained, which demonstrates the feasibility of the method for in vivo applications. This is to our knowledge the first time such verification has been obtained, and the results hold promise for expanding the functional imaging capabilities of OCT.  相似文献
