Reversible transmittance (T) changes for λ = 6328 Å light were observed in stabilized AsSe and GeSe2 thin films when irradiated by λ = 5145 Å and λ = 4880 Å wavelength exciting light pulses. During photodarkening, T reaches a steady state value obeying a Tt-1 relationship then approaches its starting value exponentially when the light is switched off. Both of these processes develop in a few seconds. The transmittance changes are explained by variations in the absorption coefficients with temperature, controlled by the absorption and loss of energy.  相似文献

Excitation and decay rates of the 4880 Å-ArII-laser transition pumped in a low-pressure arc yield a power limit for ArII high power lasers (arc diameter >1 cm), caused mainly by radiation trapping. Maximum power of the 4880 Å laser is Φ/L=70W/m±25%.  相似文献

Using a cw argon-ion laser, we have measured the spontaneous Raman scattering cross section, σR, and linewidth in atomic thallium vapor. For 4880-Å excitation, σR = 1.6 × 10?27 cm2. We observe no pressure broadening of the Raman line at vapor pressures to 100 torr.  相似文献

We report on diode-pumped laser operation of Pr3+,Mg2+:SrAl12O19 at lasing wavelengths of λ L = 724.4 nm, λ L = 643.5 nm, and λ L = 622.8 nm. Furthermore, the laser threshold could be reached in the green spectral range. By pumping the crystal longitudinally from each side with two polarization beam combined InGaN laser diodes, a total pump power of ≈4 W was available. In the deep red spectral range, a maximum output power of 564 mW was achieved with a maximum slope efficiency of 50 % with respect to the absorbed pump power. The maximum possible internal losses were estimated to ≈1 %. Beam quality factors M 2 were in the range of 1.2–1.5.  相似文献

The half widths of Stark-broadened Ne I spectral lines (2p 5 3s-2p 5 3p) were measured in wall stabilized arc plasmas (pressurep=1 atm, andp=3 atm) consisting of several gas components (Ar 68%, Ne 27%, He 3%, H2 2%). The theoretical half widths of two spectral lines (λ=6,266.50 Å,λ=6,163.59 Å) with known calculated broadening parameters according to Griem differ by a factor 1.8 to 1.9 from the measured widths. Within the errors of Griem's line broadening calculations of about 20% there was agreement between experimental and theoretical half widths regarding two other spectral lines (λ=5,881.90 Å,λ=5,852.49 Å). Calculated adiabatic widths are smaller than the widths according to Griem. Therefore in some cases the deviation of the adiabatic widths from the measured widths is smaller than the difference between Griem widths and experimental ones. Static quadratic coefficients of NeI transitions 2p 5 3s-2p 5 3p calculated from measured Stark-broadened lines showed wavelength displacements in the order of 0.005 Å referring to an electrical field of 100 kV/cm. The determined coefficients are 102 times smaller than those values measurable by known methods of emission spectroscopy.  相似文献

We have studied IR transmittance spectra of a multiferroic TbMnO3. Three phase transitions (T N = 43 K, T FE = 28 K, and T Tb = 7 K), which manifest themselves in a shift of the absorption band edge of manganese and in changes in the spectral parameters of lines of f-f transitions of terbium, have been detected. An incommensurate character of the magnetic structure leads to nonequivalence of terbium positions and to an additional inhomogeneous broadening. The spontaneous electric polarization, which arises at T < T FE, significantly affects the crystal field that acts on terbium and noticeably shifts its energy levels. The phase transition with ordering of terbium (7 K) is accompanied by a lowering of the energy of the ground state of the Tb3+ ion.  相似文献

The formation of laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) on titanium upon irradiation with linearly polarized femtosecond (fs) laser pulses (τ=30 fs, λ=790 nm) in an air environment is studied experimentally and theoretically. In the experiments, the dependence on the laser fluence and the number of laser pulses per irradiation spot has been analyzed. For a moderate number of laser pulses (N<1000) and at fluences between ~0.09 and ~0.35 J/cm2, predominantly low-spatial-frequency-LIPSS with periods between 400 nm and 800 nm are observed perpendicular to the polarization. In a narrow fluence range between 0.05 and 0.09 J/cm2, high-spatial-frequency-LIPSS with sub-100-nm spatial periods (~λ/10) can be generated with an orientation parallel to the polarization (N=50). These experimental results are complemented by calculations based on a theoretical LIPSS model and compared to the present literature.  相似文献

The structure was solved by direct methods with SHELX-86 and refined down to agreement valueR=0.046 for 1117 reflections above 2σ(I). The angle between the plane of the phthalimide group, which shows a little bent [1.2(2)°] between its two rings, and the tolyl group is 56.1(1)°. The amplification of the input signal beam in two-wave mixing experiments with photorefractive Bi12SiO20 crystals is achieved when an additional phase shift is established between the photoinduced index modulation (phase volume hologram) and the incident fringe pattern. This stationary phase shift is introduced by either moving the crystal or the interference fringes at a constant speed. The transferred intensity is measured versus the applied electric field, fringe spacing and crystal velocity. The crystallographic orientation and the relative displacement with respect to the applied electric field polarity determine the amplitude of the energy transfer. For the first time in this crystal, signal beam amplification is reached for an applied field E0 > 8 kV cm?1 and a crystal or fringe displacement speed around 5 μm s?1 at the green line (λ = 514 nm) of an argon laser.  相似文献

With a recording photoelectric Fabry-Perot spectrometer and an atomic-beam light source the hyperfine structure of the Mn I-resonance linesλ=4031 Å,λ=4033 Å,λ=4034 Å (3d 54s 2 a 6 S 5/2?3d 54s4p z 6 P 7/2,5/2,3/2 0)and of the inter-combination linesλ=5395 Å andλ=5433 Å (3d 54s 2 a 6 S 5/2?3d 54s4p z 8 P 7/2,5/2 0) was measured. Furthermore the resonance lines have been measured with a pulsed atomic-beam in absorption. In this case the quotient (I 0(ν)?I(ν))/I 0(ν) was recorded, whereI(ν)=I 0(ν) exp(?α(ν)d) is the observed intensity with absorption andI 0(ν) the intensity of the light source. From the hyperfine structure splitting the value of the electric quadrupole moment of Mn55 was derived to be:Q(Mn55)=+(0.35±0.05)·10?24 cm2.  相似文献

A series of experiments performed to establish the nature of the previously reported microwave optical double resonance signals in electronically excited nitrogen dioxide are reported. The DC stark effect, hyperfine spectrum, and microwave saturation behavior of the double resonance signals observed by exciting NO2 with the 4880 Å line of an argon ion laser have been studied. The data presented support the assignment of this double resonance signal as occurring within the rovibronic manifold of the 2B2 electronic state. The observation of a number of new excited state microwave transitions is also reported.  相似文献

Resonance Raman scattering by exciton polaritons in crystals of CuGaS2 under excitation with the 4880 and 4765 Å lines of an Ar+ laser at 9 K is studied. Lines of one-and two-phonon scattering of excitonic polaritons are found and studied. It is shown that the 1LO and 2LO phonons are arranged in accordance with their energies as the Stokes shifts move farther away from the excitation energy.  相似文献

The basic crystallographic data of AgTh2(PO4)3 single crystals have been determined for the first time by means of X-ray diffraction methods. The crystals are monoclinic, space group isCc with four formula units per unit cell. The dimensions of the unit cell are:a=17·385 Å,b=6·815 Å,c=8·148 Å,β=101·10°. Using the Sawyer and Tower method it has been proved that the crystals possess ferroelectric properties. Performing the measurements at room temperature the values of spontaneous polarization and coercive field in the direction normal to (100) face have been determined.  相似文献

The natural width of the strong Fe I spectral lineλ=3719,9 Å was determined in a double resonance experiment with an atomic beam as resonance cell and a hollow cathode as light source by the observation ofrf-induced magnetic dipole transitions between the Zeeman sublevels of the excited state in a weak static magnetic fieldH 0. The optical line was isolated from disturbing neighbours in the same multiplet either roughly by an interference filter or strictly by a monochromator. From the widthΔν=5,35(14) MHz of the double resonance signal (monochromator value, including a small correction of 1.5% for the hyperfine structure of the 2.2% natural abundance of iron-57) the lifetimeτ of the (z 5 F 5 0 )-level is found to beτ=5,95 (16)×10?8 sec. Thef-value of the transition to the ground state (a 5 D 4) is calculated, by using the known relativef-values for the weak alternative transition possibilities to the (a 4 F 5) and (a 5 F 4) levels (λ=5012 and 5127 Å), to bef λ3720=4,21 (11)×10?2.  相似文献

Zero field-level crossing signals of the 5s 5p 1 P 1-level of the Sr I-spectrum were investigated in superimposed homogeneous magnetic and electric fields. The electric field-dependent Δμ=1-crossings were detected by resonance scattering of linearly polarized light of the 4607 Å-line, the directions of polarization forming an oblique angle with the field axisz. The experiments yielded the tensor polarizability of the 5s 5p 1 P 1-level ¦αten¦=15.7 kHz/(kV/cm)2. This value is related to oscillator strengths of electric dipole transitions from the 5s 5p 1 P 1-level to1 S 0- and1 D 2-levels. The level crossing signals, obtained by resonance scattering oflinearly polarized light, are discussed using a formula, originally derived by Rose and Carovillano for level crossing experiments withunpolarized light beams. The applicability of the formula to our experiments results from an equivalence of level crossing measurements with unpolarized and those with linearly polarized light beams.  相似文献

The isotope shift between197Au (stable) and195Au (T 1/2=183 d) was determined by resonance fluorescence and polarization spectroscopy in the 6s2 S 1/2 -6p 2 P 1/2, λ =267.6nm line. The result is δν195, 197=-2.9(2) GHz corresponding to a change of the mean-square charge radius by δ〈r 2195, 197=0.063(9) fm2. The sample was confined to a resonance cell heated to temperatures of up to 1500°C.  相似文献

Observing the resonance fluorescence of the transition 7d 2 D 3/2-6p 2 P 1/2 (λ=2379 Å) in the Tl I-spectrum the level crossing technique with combined electric and magnetic fields was used to investigate the hyperfine structure and the Stark effect of the 7d 2 D 3/2-state. For electric field strengthsE?25 kV/cm the Stark shifts are considerably greater than the hyperfine splitting. Therefore the crossing signals for the case of decoupled hyperfine structure could be detected. The following values of the magnetic hyperfine constantA and the Stark parameterβ were deduced: ¦A¦=55(1) Mc/sec·g J /0.8, ¦β¦=0.20(4) Mc/sec/(kV/cm)2·g J /0.8 andA/β>0. The widths of the signals yielded the mean lifetimeτ=2.7(5)·10?8 sec· 0.8/g J . Sign and values ofA andβ are discussed.  相似文献

Laser-induced photodissociation of NaCs molecule has been observed when a mixture of Na and Cs metal vapour in a glass cell was irradiated by most of the lines of an argon ion laser. The photodissociation results in the 3P state of Na atoms which is correlated with theF 1Σ+ and G1π molecular states of NaCs. Distribution of photofragments over fine structure components 32 P 3/2 and 32 P 1/2 of Na has been studied. The ratio of intensity ofD 2 line (5890 Å) toD 1 line (5896 Å) of Na varies from around 2 at 5145 Å to about 3.5 at 4579 Å. The relative photodissociation cross-section increases monotonically as the wave-length of laser light decreases from 5145 Å to 4579 Å. It is seen that the 4579 Å photon is about 200 times more effective than the 5145 Å photon in causing the photoreaction NaCs + (Ar+ photon) → Na*(3P) + Cs(6S).  相似文献

Anisotropy of the nonlinear magnetoelectric effect in a single-crystal, single-domain sample of the β′ metastable ferroelectric paramagnetic phase of terbium molybdate Tb2(MoO4)3 was studied experimentally in dc magnetic fields of up to 6 T at temperatures of 4.2 and 1.8 K. It was shown that the existing models of the magnetoelectric effect cannot explain the experimental dependences of magnetic field-induced electric polarization on the direction of the applied magnetic field. A model of the magnetoelectric effect is proposed that qualitatively describes the observed angular dependence of the magnetic field-induced electric polarization.  相似文献
