There is a one-to-one correspondence between Snyder’s model in de Sitter space of momenta and the dS-invariant special relativity as well as a minimum uncertainty-like relation. This indicates that physics at the Planck length ℓ P and the scale R = (3/Λ)1/2 should be dual to each other and there is in-between gravity of local dS-invariance characterized by a dimensionless coupling constant g = ℓ P /R ∼ 10−61.   相似文献

Numerical investigations are conducted to study the effect of factors such as particle clustering and interfacial layer thickness on thermal conductivity of nanofluids. Based on this, parameters including Kapitza radius and fractal and chemical dimension which have received little attention by previous research are rigorously investigated. The degree of thermal enhancement is analyzed for increasing aggregate size, particle concentration, interfacial thermal resistance, and fractal and chemical dimensions. This analysis is conducted for water-based nanofluids of Alumina (Al2O3), CuO, and Titania (TiO2) nanoparticles where the particle concentrations are varied up to 4 vol%. Results from the numerical work are validated using available experimental data. For the case of aggregate size, particle concentration, and interfacial thermal resistance, the aspect ratio (ratio of radius of gyration of aggregate to radius of primary particle, R g/a) is varied from 2 to 60. It was found that the enhancement decreases with interfacial layer thickness. Also the rate of decrease is more significant after a given aggregate size. For a given interfacial resistance, the enhancement is mostly sensitive to R g/a < 20 indicated by the steep gradients of data plots. Predicted and experimental data for thermal conductivity enhancement are in good agreement. On the influence of fractal and chemical dimensions (d l and d f) of Alumina–water nanofluid, the R g/a was varied from 2 to 8, d l from 1.2 to 1.8, and d f from 1.75 to 2.5. For a given concentration, the enhancement increased with the reduction of d l or d f. It appears a distinctive sensitivity of the enhancement to d f, in particular, in the range 2–2.25, for all values of R g/a. However, the sensitivity of d l was largely depended on the value of R g/a. The information gathered from this study on the sensitivity of thermal conductivity enhancement to aggregate size, particle concentration, interfacial resistance, and fractal and chemical dimensions will be useful in manufacturing highly thermally conductive nanofluids. Further research on the refine cluster evolution dynamics as a function of particle-scale properties is underway.  相似文献

Using the nonlinear Ginzburg–Landau (GL) equations, type I superconducting disks of finite radius (R) and thickness (d) are studied in a perpendicular magnetic field. Depending on R and d, first- or second-order phase transitions are found for the normal to superconducting state. For sufficiently large R, several transitions in the superconducting phase are found corresponding to different angular momentum giant vortex states. In an increasing magnetic field the superconductor is in its ground state, while in a field down sweep it is possible to drive the system into metastable states. We also present a quantitative analysis of the relation between the detector output and the sample magnetization. The latter, and the incorporation of the finite thicknesses of the disks, are essential in order to obtain quantitative agreement with experiment.  相似文献

The influence of the sample orientation on the effective value of the hydrostatic piezoelectric coefficients d h (i) of Sn2P2S6 crystals has been studied. The hydrostatic piezoelectric coefficients d h (1) and d′ h (3) , were measured, d h (1) =(244±3) pC/N and d′ h (3) =(92±1) pC/N. The hydrostatic piezoelectric coefficient d h (3) for orthogonal axis system was calculated to be d h (3) =(87±2) pC/N. The, optimal orientation of the sample has been found as (Xy l)−20°-cut. Maximal value of the effective hydrostatic piezoelectric coefficient d h (1) equals 260 pC/N. Double rotated samples were also studied. The orientation of the samples insensitive to the pressure has been found. The theoretical mean value of hydrostatic piezoelectric coefficient (d h ) mean corresponding to randomly oriented Sn2P2S6 grains in a poled composite has been calculated to be (d h ) mean =136 pC/N.  相似文献

The annihilation of the nematic hedgehog and anti-hedgehog within an infinite cylinder of radius R is studied. The semi-microscopic lattice-type model and Brownian molecular dynamics are used. We distinguish among the i) early pre-collision, ii) late pre-collision, iii) early post-collision, and iv) late post-collision stages. In the pre-collision stage our results agree qualitatively with the existing experimental observations and also continuum-type simulations. The core of each defect exhibits a ring-like structure, where the ring axis is set perpendicular to the cylinder symmetry axis. For ξ(0)d/(2R) > 1 the interaction between defects is negligible, where ξ(0)d describes the initial separation of defects. Consequently, the defects annihilate within the simulation time window for ξ(0)d/(2R) < 1. For close enough defects their separation scales as ξd (tc - t)0.4±0.1, where tc stands for the collision time. In elastically anisotropic medium the hedgehog is faster than the anti-hedgehog. In the early pre-collision stage the defects can be treated as point-like particles, possessing inherent core structure, that interact via the nematic director field. In the late pre-collision stage the cores reflect the interaction between defects. After the collision a charge-less ring structure is first formed. In the early post-collision stage the ring adopts an essentially untwisted circular structure of the radius ξr. In the late post-collision stage we observe two qualitatively different scenarios. For μ = ξr/R < μc ∼ 0.25 the ring collapses leading to the escaped radial equilibrium structure. For μ > μc the chargeless ring triggers the nucleation growth into the planar polar structure with line defects.  相似文献

Single channel single levelR-matrix plus potential analysis of the resonances observed in the32S(n, n) reaction for the neutron energy lying from 20–1100 keV has been carried out to determine the properties of these resonances. This analysis is further supported by a single channel multilevelR-matrix analysis of the data. Spectroscopic factors for the resonances have also been calculated by ourR-matrix method. A wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) for 980/1550 nm based on planar curved waveguide coupler (CWC) is proposed. Compared with conventional parallel straight waveguide coupler (SWC), this structure has more flexibility with two variable parameters of bending radius R and minimum edge-to-edge spacing d0, which are the two main parameters for the splitting ratio of coupler and decrease the complexity of device design and fabrication. Based on coupled mode theory (CMT) and waveguide theory, R and d0 of the WDM CWC are designed to be R=13.28 m and d0=4.39 μm. The contrast ratio (CR) and insertion loss (IL) for 980 and 1550 nm are CR1=24.62 dB, CR2=24.56 dB and IL1=0.014 dB, IL2=0.015 dB, respectively. The 3D beam propagation method (BPM) is used to verify the validity of the design result. The influence of R and d0 variations on the device performance is analyzed. For CR>20 dB, the variation ranges of R and d0 should be within −0.10 to +0.44 m and −0.05 to +0.02 μm, respectively.  相似文献

The wave mechanics of two impenetrable hard core particles in a 1-D box is analyzed. Each particle in the box behaves like an independent entity represented by a macro-orbital (a kind of pair waveform). While the expectation value of their interaction, 〈 V HC (x) 〉, vanishes for every state of two particles, the expectation value of their relative separation, 〈 x 〉, satisfies 〈 x 〉≥λ/2 (or q ≥ π/d, with 2d=L being the size of the box). The particles in their ground state define a close-packed arrangement of their wave packets (with 〈 x 〉= λ/2, phase position separation Δϕ = 2π and momentum |q o| = π/d) and experience a mutual repulsive force (zero point repulsion) f o =h 2/2md 3 which also tries to expand the box. While the relative dynamics of two particles in their excited states represents usual collisional motion, the same in their ground state becomes collisionless. These results have great significance in determining a correct microscopic understanding of widely different many-body systems.  相似文献

Thin films of amorphous Se100−xSbx (x=5,10 and 20 at%) system are deposited on a silicon substrate at room temperature (300 K) by thermal evaporation technique. The optical constant such as refractive index (n) has been determined by a method based on the envelope curves of the optical transmission spectrum at normal incidence by a Swanpoel method. The oscillator energy (Eo), dispersion energy (Ed) and other parameters have been determined by the Wemple–DiDomenico method. The absorption coefficient (α) has been determined from the reflectivity and transmitivity spectrum in the range 300–2500 nm. The optical-absorption data indicate that the absorption mechanism is a non-direct transition. We found that the optical band gap, Egopt, decreases from 1.66±0.01 to 1.35±0.01 eV with increase Sb content.  相似文献

Photoproduction of π0-mesons was studied with the Crystal-Barrel detector at ELSA for incident energies from 300MeV to 3GeV. Differential cross-sections dσ/dΩ, dσ/dt, and the total cross-section are presented. For E γ < 3GeV, the angular distributions agree well with the SAID parametrization. At photon energies above 1.5GeV, a strong forward peaking indicates t-channel exchange to be the dominant process. The rapid variations of the cross-section with energy and angle indicate production of resonances. An interpretation of the data within the Bonn-Gatchina partial-wave analysis is briefly discussed.  相似文献

Successful X‐ray photon correlation spectroscopy studies often require that signals be optimized while minimizing power density in the sample to decrease radiation damage and, at free‐electron laser sources, thermal impact. This suggests exploration of scattering outside the Fraunhofer far‐field diffraction limit d2R, where d is the incident beam size, λ is the photon wavelength and R is the sample‐to‐detector distance. Here it is shown that, in an intermediate regime d2/λ > Rdξ/λ, where ξ is the structural correlation length in the material, the ensemble averages of the scattered intensity and of the structure factor are equal. Similarly, in the regime d2/λ > Rdξ(τ)/λ, where ξ(τ) is a time‐dependent dynamics length scale of interest, the ensemble‐averaged correlation functions g1(τ) and g2(τ) of the scattered electric field are also equal to their values in the far‐field limit. This broadens the parameter space for X‐ray photon correlation spectroscopy experiments, but detectors with smaller pixel size and variable focusing are required to more fully exploit the potential for such studies.  相似文献

高功率激光通常具有振幅调制和相位畸变. 采用统计光学方法推导了截断的有振幅调制和位相畸变光束在大气湍流中传输 的等效曲率半径R的解析公式.研究表明:随着位相畸变参量、振幅调制参量和光 束截断参量的增大,光束在自由空间中的 R增大,但R受湍流的影响也会增大; 并且高斯光束在自由空间中的R最大, 但其受湍流影响也最大. 因此,在大气湍流中传输到足够远时, 截断的有振幅调制和位相畸变光束的R就要比高斯光束的大.特别地, 相对等效曲率半径Rr随传输距离为非单调变化, 存在一个最小值, 即在该位置处R受湍流的影响最大. 此外, 达到 Rr最小值所需传输距离随光束位相畸变和振幅调制的加剧而增大.  相似文献

Differential cross-sections for the reactions d (γ,π0)d and d (γ,π0)pn have been measured at MAMI with the TAPS detector setup in the energy range 140 MeV < E γ < 306 MeV. By use of the Glasgow tagging spectrometer an 0.8 MeV energy resolution for photons incident on the target was achieved. The π0 missing energy resolution was sufficient for a reliable separation of coherent and incoherent channels. The data for the break-up channel exhibit very strong final state interaction effects, whereas the observed angular dependence of the inclusive process d (γ,π0)X is in quantitative agreement with predictions for a quasi-free process. The observed absolute d (γ,π0)X cross-sections, on the other hand, are significantly smaller than predicted by the quasi-free process for E γ >∼ 250 MeV. Associating this failure with the π0 photoproduction on the neutron would suggest that its cross-section is up to 25% below the presently believed value. We calculate the direction-direction correlations between the tangent vectors of an oriented self-avoiding walk (SAW). LetJ (x) andJ v (0) be components of unit-length tangent vectors of an oriented SAW, at the spatial pointsx and 0, respectively. Then for distances |x| much less than the average distance between the endpoints of the walk, the correlation function ofJ (x) withJ v (0) has, ind dimensions, the form . The dimensionless amplitudek(d) is universal, and can be calculated exactly in two dimensions by using Coulomb gas techniques, where it is found to bek(2)=12/25 2. In three dimensions, the -expansion to second order in together with the exact value ofk(2)in two dimensions allows the estimatek(3)=0.0178±0.0005. In dimensionsd4, the universal amplitudek(d) of the direction-direction correlation functions of an oriented SAW is the same as the universal amplitude of the direction-direction correlation functions of an oriented random walk, and is given byk(d)= 2(d/2)/(d–2) d .  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of rigid, spherical particles of radius R sinking in a viscous fluid. Both the inertia of the particles and the fluid are neglected. We are interested in a large number N of particles with average distance dR. We investigate in which regime (in terms of N and R/d) the particles do not significantly interact and approximately sink like single particles. We rigorously establish the lower bound for the critical number Ncrit of particles. This lower bound agrees with the heuristically expected Ncrit in terms of its scaling in R/d. The main difficulty lies in showing that the particles cannot get significantly closer over a relevant time scale. We use the method of reflection for the Stokes operator to bound the strength of the particle interaction.  相似文献

To consider the origin of a pseudogap and a superconducting (SC) gap found in the high-Tc cuprates, we evaluated the momentum dependence of the singlet gap corresponding to the pseudogap and the SC gap in the tJ model, using an optimization variational Monte Carlo (VMC) method. In the underdoped regime, the singlet gap is significantly modified from the simple dx2-y2(d)-wave gap (∝ cos kx − cos ky) by the contribution of long-range pairings. Its angular dependence at the quasi Fermi surface is qualitatively consistent with those experimentally observed in both hole and electron-doped cuprates. On the other hand, a SC gap is almost unchanged, preserving the original simple d-wave form. Thus, it seems that the incoherent part of the singlet gap mainly influences the forms of observed gaps.  相似文献

A magnetic phase transition in carbon-doped (0.1 and 0.7 at. %) Fe70Ni30 Invar alloys was investigated by the method of depolarization of a transmitted neutron beam and by small-angle scattering of polarized neutrons. It is shown that for both alloys, two characteristic length scales of magnetic correlations coexist above T c. Small-angle scattering by critical correlations with radius R c is described well by the Ornstein-Zernike (OZ) expression. The longer-scale (second) correlations, whose size can be estimated from depolarization data, are not described by the OZ expression, and hypothetically can be modeled by a squared OZ expression, which in coordinate space corresponds to the relation 〈M(r)M(0)〉∝exp(−r/R d), where R d is the correlation length of the second scale. The temperature dependence of the correlation radius R c was obtained: R c ∝ ((TT c)/Tc)ν , where ν≈2/3 is the critical exponent for ferromagnets, over a wide temperature range up to T c exp , at which the correlation radius becomes constant and equals its maximum value R c(T c)=R c max . The maximum correlation radius established (R c max =140 Å and 230 Å for the first and second alloys, respectively) characterizes the length-scale of the fluctuation for which the appearance of critical correlations first results in the formation of a ferromagnetic phase, and the phenomenon itself exhibits a “disruption” of the second-order phase transition at T=T c exp , as a result of which a first-order transition arises. Temperature hysteresis was also detected in the measured polarization of the transmitted beam and intensity of small-angle neutron scattering in the alloy above T c, confirming the character of this magnetic transition as a first-order transition close to a second-order transition. The finite-size critical properties of the (n) vector ϕ4 model, with long-range interaction decaying algebraically with the interparticle distance r like r -d - σ, are investigated. The system is confined to a finite geometry subject to periodic boundary condition. Special attention is paid to the finite-size correction to the bulk susceptibility above the critical temperature T c. We show that this correction has a power-law nature in the case of pure long-range interaction i.e. 0 < σ < 2 and it turns out to be exponential in case of short-range interaction i.e.σ = 2. The Ginzburg criterion is used to estimate the width of the critical region for a dilute magnet with a large range of interactionsR. This width decreases asR –2d/(4–d) at high temperature and asR –2d/(6–d) at very low temperatures, i.e. in the percolation limit. The crossover between the two regimes is discussed.  相似文献
