A quantum system of a Dirac particle interacting with the quantum radiation field is considered in the case where no external potentials exist. Then the total momentum of the system is conserved and the total Hamiltonian is unitarily equivalent to the direct integral of a family of self-adjoint operators acting in the Hilbert space , where is the Hilbert space of the quantum radiation field. The fiber operator is called the Hamiltonian of the Dirac polaron with total momentum . The main result of this paper is concerned with the non-relativistic (scaling) limit of . It is proven that the non-relativistic limit of yields a self-adjoint extension of a Hamiltonian of a polaron with spin 1/2 in non-relativistic quantum electrodynamics.  相似文献

For the critical XXZ model, we consider the space of operators which are products of local operators with a disorder operator. We introduce two anti-commutative families of operators which act on . These operators are constructed as traces over representations of the q-oscillator algebra, in close analogy with Baxter’s Q-operators. We show that the vacuum expectation values of operators in can be expressed in terms of an exponential of a quadratic form of . It is known that the defining relations of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra are equivalent to the defining (triple) relations of n pairs of paraboson operators . In particular, with the usual star conditions, this implies that the “parabosons of order p” correspond to a unitary irreducible (infinite-dimensional) lowest weight representation V(p) of . Apart from the simple cases p = 1 or n = 1, these representations had never been constructed due to computational difficulties, despite their importance. In the present paper we give an explicit and elegant construction of these representations V(p), and we present explicit actions or matrix elements of the generators. The orthogonal basis vectors of V(p) are written in terms of Gelfand-Zetlin patterns, where the subalgebra of plays a crucial role. Our results also lead to character formulas for these infinite-dimensional representations. Furthermore, by considering the branching , we find explicit infinite-dimensional unitary irreducible lowest weight representations of and their characters. For convex co-compact hyperbolic quotients , we analyze the long-time asymptotic of the solution of the wave equation u(t) with smooth compactly supported initial data f = (f 0, f 1). We show that, if the Hausdorff dimension δ of the limit set is less than n/2, then where and . We explain, in terms of conformal theory of the conformal infinity of X, the special cases , where the leading asymptotic term vanishes. In a second part, we show for all the existence of an infinite number of resonances (and thus zeros of Selberg zeta function) in the strip . As a byproduct we obtain a lower bound on the remainder R(t) for generic initial data f.  相似文献

In we consider a family of selfadjoint operators of the Friedrichs model: . Here is the operator of multiplication by the corresponding function of the independent variable , and (perturbation) is a trace-class integral operator with a continuous Hermitian kernel satisfying some smoothness condition. These absolute type operators have one singular point of order . Conditions on the kernel are found guaranteeing the absence of the point spectrum and the singular continuous one of such operators near the origin. These conditions are actually necessary and sufficient. They depend on the finiteness of the rank of a perturbation operator and on the order of singularity . The sharpness of these conditions is confirmed by counterexamples.  相似文献

We study rooted self avoiding polygons and self avoiding walks on deterministic fractal lattices of finite ramification index. Different sites on such lattices are not equivalent, and the number of rooted open walks W n (S), and rooted self-avoiding polygons P n (S) of n steps depend on the root S. We use exact recursion equations on the fractal to determine the generating functions for P n (S), and W n(S) for an arbitrary point S on the lattice. These are used to compute the averages ,, and over different positions of S. We find that the connectivity constant μ, and the radius of gyration exponent are the same for the annealed and quenched averages. However, , and , where the exponents and , take values different from the annealed case. These are expressed as the Lyapunov exponents of random product of finite-dimensional matrices. For the 3-simplex lattice, our numerical estimation gives and , to be compared with the known annealed values and .  相似文献

For an N-body Stark Hamiltonian , the resolvent estimate holds uniformly in with Re and Im , where , and is a compact interval. This estimate is well known as the limiting absorption principle. In this paper, we report that by introducing the localization in the configuration space, a refined resolvent estimate holds uniformly in with Re and Im . Let denote the class of all orthomodular lattices and denote the class of those that are commutator-finite. Also, let denote the class of orthomodular lattices that satisfy the block extension property, those that satisfy the weak block extension property, and those that are locally finite. The derivation of the statistical nature of the quantum mechanical wave function is presented within the formalism of quantum mechanics and the second quantization. The statistical wave function may be derived for non relativistic bosons, non relativistic fermions, and relativistic bosons by employing the commuting field operator . For relativistic electrons a strictly anticommuting must be employed to derive the statistical wave function (spinor). The discussion at the end of the paper aims to show the physical plausibility of a statistical wave function.  相似文献

We construct eight operators for a four-particle system, namely one center-of-mass coordinate operator, three relative coordinate operators, one total momentum operator and three mass-weighted relative momentum operators, and give common eigenvectors of four compatible observables , which are composed of four particles’ coordinate and momentum . By compatible we mean such observables can be simultaneously determined. Using the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators, we prove that the common eigenvectors are complete and orthonormal, and hereby qualified for making up a representation.  相似文献

We develop an approach to dynamical and probabilistic properties of the model unifying general relativity and quantum mechanics, initiated in the paper (Heller et al. (2005) International Journal Theoretical Physics 44, 671). We construct the von Neumann algebra of random operators on a groupoid, which now is not related to a finite group G, but is the pair groupoid of the Lorentzian frame bundle E over spacetime M. We consider the time flow on depending on the state . The state defining the noncommutative dynamics is assumed to be normal and faithful. Then the pair is a noncommutative probabilistic space and can also be interpreted as an equilibrium thermal state, satisfying the Kubo-Martin-Schwinger condition. We argue that both the “time flow” and thermodynamics have their common roots in the noncommutative unification of dynamics and probability.  相似文献

Let H be a self-adjoint operator on a complex Hilbert space . A symmetric operator T on is called a time operator of H if, for all , (D(T) denotes the domain of T) and . In this paper, spectral properties of T are investigated. The following results are obtained: (i) If H is bounded below, then σ(T), the spectrum of T, is either (the set of complex numbers) or . (ii) If H is bounded above, then is either or . (iii) If H is bounded, then . The spectrum of time operators of free Hamiltonians for both nonrelativistic and relativistic particles is exactly identified. Moreover spectral analysis is made on a generalized time operator. We compute the first cohomology spaces of the Lie superalgebra with coefficients in the superspace of linear differential operators acting on weighted densities on the supercircle S 1|1. The structure of these spaces was conjectured in (Gargoubi et al. in Lett Math Phys 79:5165, 2007). In fact, we prove here that the situation is a little bit more complicated.   相似文献

Stability of Two Soliton Collision for Nonintegrable gKdV Equations   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
We continue our study of the collision of two solitons for the subcritical generalized KdV equations
Solitons are solutions of the type where c 0  >  0. In [21], mainly devoted to the case f (u)  =  u 4, we have introduced a new framework to understand the collision of two solitons , for (0.1) in the case (or equivalently, ). In this paper, we consider the case of a general nonlinearity f (u) for which , are nonlinearly stable. In particular, since f is general and c 1 can be large, the results are not perturbations of the ones for the power case in [21]. First, we prove that the two solitons survive the collision up to a shift in their trajectory and up to a small perturbation term whose size is explicitly controlled from above: after the collision, , where is close to c j (j  =  1, 2). Then, we exhibit new exceptional solutions similar to multi-soliton solutions: for all , there exists a solution such that
where (j  =  1, 2) and converges to 0 in a neighborhood of the solitons as . The analysis is split in two distinct parts. For the interaction region, we extend the algebraic tools developed in [21] for the power case, by expanding f (u) as a sum of powers plus a perturbation term. To study the solutions in large time, we rely on previous tools on asymptotic stability in [17,22] and [18], refined in [19,20]. Based on Weyl-scaled induced gravitational theory, we regard dilaton field in this theory as a candidate of dark energy. We construct a dilatonic dark energy model and its phantom model, that admit late time de Sitter attractor solution. When we take the potential of dilaton field as the form which has been studied in supergravity model and the famous Mexican hat potential , we show mathematically that these attractor solutions correspond to an equation of state ω = −1 and a cosmic density parameter Ω_σ = 1, which are important features for a dark energy model that can meet the current observations.  相似文献

This paper deals with topos-theoretic truth-value valuations of quantum propositions. Concretely, a mathematical framework of a specific type of modal approach is extended to the topos theory, and further, structures of the obtained truth-value valuations are investigated. What is taken up is the modal approach based on a determinate lattice , which is a sublattice of the lattice of all quantum propositions and is determined by a quantum state e and a preferred determinate observable R. Topos-theoretic extension is made in the functor category of which base category is determined by R. Each true atom, which determines truth values, true or false, of all propositions in , generates also a multi-valued valuation function of which domain and range are and a Heyting algebra given by the subobject classifier in , respectively. All true propositions in are assigned the top element of the Heyting algebra by the valuation function. False propositions including the null proposition are, however, assigned values larger than the bottom element. This defect can be removed by use of a subobject semi-classifier. Furthermore, in order to treat all possible determinate observables in a unified framework, another valuations are constructed in the functor category . Here, the base category includes all ’s as subcategories. Although has a structure apparently different from , a subobject semi-classifier of gives valuations completely equivalent to those in ’s.  相似文献

We introduce a newfamily of C 2-cofinite N = 1 vertex operator superalgebras , m ≥ 1, which are natural super analogs of the triplet vertex algebra family , p ≥ 2, important in logarithmic conformal field theory. We classify irreducible -modules and discuss logarithmic modules. We also compute bosonic and fermionic formulas of irreducible characters. Finally, we contemplate possible connections between the category of -modules and the category of modules for the quantum group , , by focusing primarily on properties of characters and the Zhu’s algebra .
