In fully three-dimensional (3D) positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, the scatter fraction (SF) is about 40%-60%, which may degrade the imaging quality severely. Scatter correction is important for high quality image reconstruction. Model-based scatter correction has been proved to be accurate and available in clinical PET. However, it does not correct the scatter from out of the field of view (OFOV) and multiple scatters. In this study, we demonstrate the radial and axial distribution of scatters from OFOV when the source is located in different radial positions. In order to apply the above conclusions to different PET systems, we characterize the scatters from OFOV as a function of the ratio of the scanner diameter to the length of the axial field of view (AFOV) by modeling several typical whole-body and micro PET systems. The proportions of true events (S0-0), single scatter of one photon (S1-0) , single scatter of both photons (S1-1) , double scatter of one photon (S2-0) and multiple scatter (Sm) are also calculated and compared. Here the 3D-PET Monte Carlo simulations are performed with the Geant4 Application for Tomography Emission (GATE). In summary, the scatters from OFOV tend to be recorded on the lines of response (LOR) far away from the source. They have a much more serious impact on whole-body PET than micro PET depending on the ratio of scanner diameter to the length of AFOV. In whole-body PET, twice scatters including single scatter of both photons (S1-1) and double scatter of one photon (S2-0) add up to about 12% so that twice scatter correction must be taken into account to acquire a high quality reconstruction image.  相似文献

Uranyl (VI) amidoxime complexes are investigated using relativistic density functional theory. The equilibrium structures, bond orders, and Mulliken populations of the complexes have been systematically investigated under a generalized gradient approximation (GGA). Comparison of (acet) uranyl amidoxime complexes ([UO2(AO)n]2-n, 1 ≤ n ≤ 4) with available experimental data shows an excellent agreement. In addition, the U-O(1), U-O(3), C(1)-N(2), and C(3)-N(4) bond lengths of [UO2(CH3AO)4]2- are longer than experimental data by about 0.088, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.056 Å. The angles of N(3)-O(3)-U, O(2)-N(1)-C(1), N(3)-C(3)-N(4), N(4)-C(3)-C(4), and C(4)-C(3)-N(3) are different from each other, which are due to existing interaction between oxygen in uranyl and hydrogen in amino group. This interaction is found to be intra-molecular hydrogen bond. Studies on the bond orders, Mulliken charges, and Mulliken populations demonstrate that uranyl oxo group functions as hydrogen-bond acceptors and H atoms in ligands act as hydrogen-bond donors forming hydrogen bands within the complex.  相似文献

A theoretical method to calculate multidimensional Franck-Condon factors including Duschinsky effects is described and used to simulate the photoelectron spectroscopy of the anion O-3. Geometry optimization and harmonic vibrational frequency calculations have been performed on the (X~)1A1 state of O3 and (X~)2B1 state of O-3. Franck-Condon analyses and spectral simulation were carried out on the first photoelectron band of O-3. The theoretical spectrum obtained by employing CCSD(T)/6-311+G(2d,p) values are in excellent agreement with the observed one. In addition, the equilibrium geometry parameters, re(OO)= 0.135 5±0.000 5 nm and θe(O-O-O) =114.5±0.5°, of the (X~)2B1 state of O-3, are derived by employing an iterative Franck-Condon analysis procedure in the spectral simulation.  相似文献

The masses of some orbitally and radially excited heavy-light mesons are calculated in Regge phenomenology. The results are in reasonable agreement with the experimental data and those given in many other theoretical approaches. Based on the calculation, we suggest that the recently observed D(2550), D(2600) and D(2760) can be assigned as the charmed members of the 21S0, 23S1 and 13D1 multiplets, respectively. Ds1*(2700)± may be assigned as the charm-strange member of the 23S1 state. The results may be helpful in understanding the nature of current and future experimentally observed heavy-light mesons.  相似文献

The reaction cross section of 17B on 12C target at (43.7±2.4)MeV/u has been measured at the Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou (RIBLL). The root-mean-square matter radius (Rrms) was deduced to be (2.92±0.10)fm, while the Rrms of the core and the valence neutron distribution are 2.28fm and 5.98fm respectively. The experiment of this paper is the thermal test of the leakage current of silicon PIN detector. Raising temperature may cause the detector to increase leakage current, decrease depletion and increase noise. Three samples are used in the experiment. One (called ΔE) is the sample of 100 μm in thickness. The other two (called E1 and E2) are stacks of five detectors of 1000 μm in thickness. All of them are 12 mm in diameter. The experiment has been done for 21 hours and with power on continuously. The samples have undergone more than 60℃ for about one hour. They are not degenerated when back to the room temperature. The depletion rate is temperature and bias voltage related. With the circuit of the experiment and temperature at 35℃, ΔE is still depleted while E1 and E2 are 94.9% and 99.7% depleted respectively. The noises of the samples can be derived from the values at room temperature and the thermal dependence of the leakage currents. With the addition of the noise of the pre-amplifier, the noises of E1, E2 and ΔE at 24℃ are 16.4, 16.3, and 10.5 keV (FWHM) respectively while at 35℃ are about 33.6, 33.1, and 20.6 keV (FWHM) respectively.  相似文献

We study the kinetic behaviour of the growth of aggregates driven by reversible migration between any two aggregates. For a simple model with the migration rate K(i;j)=K′(i;j)∝i^uj^v at which the monomers migrate from the aggregates of size i to those of size j, we find that the aggregate size distribution in the system with u+v≤3 and u<2 approaches a conventional scaling form, which reduces to the Smoluchovski form in the u=1 case. On the other hand, for the system with u<2, the average aggregate size S(t) grows exponentially in the u+v=3 case and as (tlnt)^{1/(5-2u)} in another special case of v=u-2. We investigated the effect of photodynamic therapy(PDT)with hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether (HMME)on the viability of Streptococcus mutans(S.mutans)cells on biofilms in vitro.Streptococcus mutans is the primary etiological agent of human dental caries.Since dental caries are localized infections, such plaque-related diseases would be well suited to PDT.The diode laser used in this study had the wavelength of 635 nm,whose output power was 10 mW and the energy density was 12.74 J/cm~2.HMME was used as photosensitizer.Samples were prepared and divided into five groups:(1)HMME;(2)Laser; (3)HMME Laser;(4)Control group( )with chlorhexidine;and(5)Control group(-)with sterile physiological saline.Inoculum of S.mutans incubated with HMME also examined with fluorescence microscopy.PDT exhibited a significantly(P<0.05)increased antimicrobial potential compared with 20μm/mL HMME only,laser only,0.05% chlorhexidine,and 0.9% sterile physiological saline,which reduced the S.mutans of the biofilm most effectively.Laser and 0.05% chlorhexidine were caused reduction in the viable counts of S.mutans significantly different(P<0.05)also,but these two test treatments did not statistically differ from each other.HMME group did not statistically differ with negative control group. Fluorescence microscopy indicated that HMME localized primarily in the S.mutans of the biofilm.It was demonstrated that HMME-mediated PDT was efficient at killing S.mutans of biofilms and a useful approach in the treatment of dental plaque-related diseases.  相似文献

Structural-acoustic interaction is a topic of increasing interest in the study of vehicle noise control. During recent years particular attention has been devoted towards analytical and numerical methods for the analysis of acoustic problems of complex shaped cavities. Among them non-local methods are very appropriate for the low and medium frequency range. The integral formulation of the Helmholtz equation allows the sound pressure level, radiated by a vibrating panel, to be determined. The method may be used to account for the acoustic structural coupling and can be straightforwardly extended to consider interconnected cavities, internal vibrating panels, internal barriers and absorbing materials. Comparisons with experimental results as well as with modal methods are presented which show satisfactory agreement.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a coupled finite element/boundary element method (FEM/BEM) for control of noise radiation and sound transmission of vibrating structure by passive piezoelectric techniques. The system consists of an elastic structure (with surface mounted piezoelectric patches) coupled to external/internal acoustic domains. The passive shunt damping strategy is employed for vibration attenuation in the low frequency range. The originality of the present paper lies in evaluating the classically used FEM/BEM methods for structural–acoustics problems when taking account smart systems at the fluid–structure interfaces.  相似文献

This study numerically analyzes submerged cylindrical shells using a coupled boundary element method (BEM) with finite element method (FEM) in conjunction with the wave number theory, in which the spatial Fourier transform of surface velocity for cylinders is directly related to pressure in a far field. The acoustic loading is formulated using a symmetric complex matrix derived from a boundary integral equation where the symmetry is based on an acoustic reciprocal principle for surface acoustics. In this formulation the acoustic loading matrix is a large acoustic element whose degree of freedom is connected to the normal displacement of the vibrating structures. The coupled BEM/FEM equation is a banded, symmetric matrix, and thus its bandwidth can be minimized using a proper algorithm. This formulation significantly increases numerical efficiency. The computed normal velocity is thus transformed to wave number representation to examine acoustic radiation. A finite plane cylindrical shell, without attached stiffeners, and a shell with internal ring stiffeners are chosen to demonstrate the present analysis procedure. The far field pressure computed directly from the integral equation and predicted by wave number theory correlates closely with increasing vibrating frequency. Meanwhile, the influences of the internal ring structures on acoustic radiation are examined using the wave number theory, which helps in understanding how internal structures influence radiated noise.  相似文献

FEM calculation of an acoustic field in a sonochemical reactor   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The spatial distribution of the acoustic amplitude in a sonochemical reactor has been numerically calculated using the finite element method (FEM). In the FEM program, the acoustic field in a sonochemical reactor is coupled with the vibration of the reactor's wall. The present calculations have revealed that the thin (thick) glass or stainless steel wall is nearly a free (rigid) boundary and that the glass wall is freer than the stainless steel wall. The influence of the attenuation coefficient of ultrasound on the acoustic field has also been studied in order to see the effect of bubbles on the acoustic field. As the attenuation coefficient increases, the vibration amplitude of the reactor's wall becomes smaller and the acoustic emission from the vibrating wall becomes weaker. The qualitative feature of the spatial pattern of sonochemiluminescence from an aqueous luminol solution has been reproduced by the calculation when the attenuation coefficient is in the range of 0.5-5m(-1). When the attenuation coefficient is less than about 0.05 m(-1), the standing wave pattern of an acoustic field in the liquid is very complex due to the acoustic emission from the vibrating wall. The present calculations have also revealed that some stripes of pressure antinodes have also been disconnected when the radius of the transducer is much smaller than the side length of the vibrating plate. The dependence of the acoustic field on the liquid height is also discussed.  相似文献

The determination of the sensitivity of the acoustical characteristics of vibrating systems with respect to the variation of the design parameters predicting these characteristics is a necessary and important step of the acoustic design and optimization process. Acoustic design sensitivity analysis includes the computation and evaluation of the sensitivity information required for this procedure. In this study, a boundary element code performing the sensitivity analysis of the acoustic pressure by using the matrix sensitivities with respect to different design variables has been developed. The effect of the precision of boundary element discretization on the acoustic pressure sensitivity is examined via this code. The formulation is applied to a multi-source system and the dimension sensitivity analysis of near field pressures of two-dilating-spherical source is performed. The last application is devoted to a real sound source: a washing machine sitting on the floor. Sensitivity of the field pressures to the machine’s dimensions (size), surface velocity and frequency is examined on the bases of the boundary element model of the machine and half-space condition. The impacts of these variables are compared; and a limiting speed for the machine responding both the acoustical and operational requirements is determined.  相似文献

针对一维非线性声波的传播问题进行了有限元仿真和实验研究. 首先推导了一维非线性声波方程的有限元形式, 含有高阶矩阵的非线性项导致声波具有波形畸变、谐波滋生、基频信号能量向高次谐波传递等非线性特性. 编制有限元程序对一维非线性声波进行了计算并对仿真得到的畸变非线性声波信号进行处理, 分析其传播性质和物理意义. 为验证有限元计算结果, 开展了水中的非线性声波传播的实验研究, 得到了不同输入信号幅度激励下和不同传播距离的畸变非线性声波信号. 然后对基波和二次谐波的传播性质进行详细讨论, 分析了二次谐波幅度与传播距离和输入信号幅度的变化关系及其意义, 拟合出二次谐波幅度随传播距离变化的方程并阐述了拟合方程的物理意义. 结果表明, 数值仿真信号及其频谱均与实验结果有较好的一致性, 证实计算方法和结果的正确性, 并提出了具有一定物理意义的二次谐波随传播距离变化的简单数学关系. 最后还对固体中的非线性声波传播性质进行了初步探讨. 本研究工作可为流体介质中的非线性声传播问题提供理论和实验依据.  相似文献
