L10FePt nanocomposite with high magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy has been extensively investigated in the fields of ultra-high density magnetic recording media. However, the order–disorder transition temperature of the nanocomposite is higher than 600℃, which is a disadvantage for the use of the material due to the sustained growth of FePt grain under the temperature. To address the problem, addition of Ag atoms has been proposed, but the magnetic properties of the doped system are still unclear so far. Here in this paper, we use first-principles method to study the lattice parameters,formation energy, electronic structure, atomic magnetic moment and order–disorder transition temperature of L10FePt with Ag atom doping. The results show that the formation energy of a Ag atom substituting for a Pt site is 1.309 eV, which is lower than that of substituting for an Fe site 1.346 eV. The formation energy of substituting for the two nearest Pt sites is2.560 eV lower than that of substituting for the further sites 2.621 eV, which indicates that Ag dopants tend to segregate L10FePt. The special quasirandom structures(SQSs) for the pure FePt and the FePt doped with two Ag atoms at the stable Pt sites show that the order–disorder transition temperatures are 1377℃ and 600℃, respectively, suggesting that the transition temperature can be reduced with Ag atom, and therefore the FePt grain growth is suppressed. The saturation magnetizations of the pure FePt and the two Ag atoms doped FePt are 1083 emu/cc and 1062 emu/cc, respectively,indicating that the magnetic property of the doped system is almost unchanged.  相似文献

Mn-doped graphene is investigated using first-principles calculations based on the density functional theory(DFT).The magnetic moment is calculated for systems of various sizes,and the atomic populations and the density of states(DOS)are analyzed in detail.It is found that Mn doped graphene-based diluted magnetic semiconductors(DMS)have strong ferromagnetic properties,the impurity concentration influences the value of the magnetic moment,and the magnetic moment of the 8×8 supercell is greatest for a single impurity.The graphene containing two Mn atoms together is more stable in the 7×7 supercell.The analysis of the total DOS and partial density of states(PDOS)indicates that the magnetic properties of doped graphene originate from the p–d exchange,and the magnetism is given a simple quantum explanation using the Ruderman–Kittel–Kasuya–Yosida(RKKY)exchange theory.  相似文献

The geometries,electronic and magnetic properties of the trimetallic clusters Fe Al Aun(n = 1–6) are systematically investigated using density functional theory(DFT).A number of new isomers are obtained to probe the structural evolutions.All doped clusters show larger relative binding energies than pure Aun+2partners,indicating that doping with Fe and Al atoms can stabilize the Aun clusters.The highest occupied molecular orbital–lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(HOMO–LUMO) gaps,vertical ionization potentials and vertical electron affinities are also studied and compared with those of pure gold clusters.Magnetism calculations demonstrate that the magnetic moments of Fe Al Aun clusters each show a pronounced odd–even oscillation with the number of Au atoms.  相似文献

The structural, magnetic properties, and mechanism of magnetization of SnO monolayer doped with 3 d transition metal Mn atom were studied using first-principles calculations. The calculated results show that the substitution doping is easier to realize under the condition of oxygen enrichment. Numerical results reveal that the spin-splitting defect state of the Mn doped system is produced in the band gap and the magnetic moment of 5.0 μB is formed. The induced magnetic moment by Mnsubis mostly derived from the 3 d orbital of the doped Mn atom. The magnetic coupling between magnetic moments caused by two Mn atoms in SnO monolayer is a long-range ferromagnetic, which is due to the hole-mediated p–p and p–d interactions. The calculated results suggest that room-temperature ferromagnetism in a SnO monolayer can be induced after substitutional doping of a Mn atom.  相似文献

Based on the density-functional theory, this paper studies the geometric and magnetic properties of TinO (n=1-9) clusters. The resulting geometries show that the oxygen atom remains on the surface of clusters and does not change the geometry of Tin significantly. The binding energy, second-order energy differences with the size of clusters show that Ti7O cluster is endowed with special stability. The stability of TinO clusters is validated by the recent time-of-flight mass spectra. The total magnetic moments for TinO clusters with n=1-4, 8-9 are constant with 2 and drop to zero at n=5-7. The local magnetic moment and charge partition of each atom, and the density of states are discussed. The magnetic moment of the TinO is clearly dominated by the localized 3d electrons of Ti atoms while the oxygen atom contributes a very small amount of spin in TinO clusters.  相似文献

The electronic structure, magnetic properties, and mechanism of magnetization in two-dimensional(2D) aluminum nitride(AlN) monolayer doped with nonmagnetic elements of group 1A(Li, Na, K) or group 2A(Be, Mg, Ca) were systematically investigated using first-principles studies. Numerical results reveal that the total magnetic moments produced by group 1A and group 2A nonmagnetic doping are 2.0μB and 1.0μB per supercell, respectively. The local magnetic moments of the three N atoms around the doping atom are the primary moment contributors for all these doped AlN monolayers. The p orbital of the dopant atom contributes little to the total magnetic moment, but it influences adjacent atoms significantly, changing their density of states distribution, which results in hybridization among the p orbitals of the three closest N atoms, giving rise to magnetism. Moreover, the doped AlN monolayer, having half-metal characteristics,is a likely candidate for spintronic applications. When two group 1A or group 2A atoms are inserted, their moments are long-range ferromagnetically coupled. Remarkably, the energy of formation shows that, if the monolayer has been grown under N-rich conditions, substitution of a group 2A atom at an Al site is easier than substitution of a group 1A atom.  相似文献

First-principles calculations have been performed on the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of seven 3d transition-metal(TM) impurities(V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu) doped armchair(5,5) and zigzag(8,0) beryllium oxide nanotubes(BeONTs). The results show that there exists a structural distortion around the 3d TM impurities with respect to the pristine BeONTs. The magnetic moment increases for V- and Cr-doped BeONTs and reaches a maximum for Mn-doped BeONT, and then decreases for Fe-, Co-, Ni-, and Cu-doped BeONTs successively, consistent with the predicted trend of Hund’s rule to maximize the magnetic moments of the doped TM ions. However, the values of the magnetic moments are smaller than the predicted values of Hund’s rule due to the strong hybridization between the 2p orbitals of the near O and Be ions of BeONTs and the 3d orbitals of the TM ions. Furthermore, the V-, Co-, and Ni-doped(5,5) and(8,0) BeONTs with half-metal ferromagnetism and thus 100% spin polarization character are good candidates for spintronic applications.  相似文献

The geometry, electronic structure and magnetic property of the hexagonal AlN(h-AlN) sheet doped by 5d atoms(Lu, Hf, Ta, W, Re, Os, Ir, Pt, Au and Hg) are investigated by first-principles calculations based on the density functional theory. The influence of symmetry and symmetry-breaking is also studied. There are two types of local symmetries of the doped systems: C3v and D3h. The symmetry will deviate from exact C3v and D3h for some particular dopants after optimization. The total magnetic moments of the doped systems are 0μBfor Lu, Ta and Ir; 1μB for Hf, W, Pt and Hg; 2μB for Re and Au; and 3μB for Os and Al-vacancy. The total densities of state are presented, where impurity energy levels exist. The impurity energy levels and total magnetic moments can be explained by the splitting of 5d orbitals or molecular orbitals under different symmetries.  相似文献

By using first-principles calculations within the framework of density functional theory,the electronic and magnetic properties of 3d transitional metal(TM) atoms(from Sc to Zn) adsorbed monolayer Ga As nanosheets(Ga As NSs) are systematically investigated.Upon TM atom adsorption,Ga As NS,which is a nonmagnetic semiconductor,can be tuned into a magnetic semiconductor(Sc,V,and Fe adsorption),a half-metal(Mn adsorption),or a metal(Co and Cu adsorption).Our calculations show that the strong p–d hybridization between the 3d orbit of TM atoms and the 4p orbit of neighboring As atoms is responsible for the formation of chemical bonds and the origin of magnetism in the Ga As NSs with Sc,V,and Fe adsorption.However,the Mn 3d orbit with more unpaired electrons hybridizes not only with the As 4p orbit but also with the Ga 4p orbit,resulting in a stronger exchange interaction.Our results may be useful for electronic and magnetic applications of Ga As NS-based materials.  相似文献

Two-dimensional scanning of a 0.6328 mum guided-light beam has been realized using noncolinear acousto-optic (AO) coplanar Bragg diffraction together with colinear AO guided-mode to substrate radiation-mode conversion in a Z-cut Xpropagation LiNbO3 proton-exchanged (PE) waveguide. The two surface acoustic (SAW) waves utilized are at the center frequencies of 500 and 200 MHz, propagating in the Y and X axes, respectively. Two-dimensional scanning of approximately 720 resolvable light beam spots, namely, 18 40 (horizontal vertical) scanning, has been demonstrated using a light beam of 1.0 mm aperture. The total number of resolvable beam spots can be greatly increased from 720 by simply utilizing SAW transducers of larger bandwidth and a light beam of greater aperture. It should also be possible to significantly increase the diffraction efficiency from 3 % by optimizing the parameters of the PE waveguide and the SAWs.  相似文献

A simple technique of pulse compression, based on the linear chirp compensation of self-phase modulation (SPM) spectra in dispersion shifted fibers, is demonstrated. The optimization procedure is carried out, for a short span of a single-mode fiber, using a parabolic law, which describes the behavior of the squared output pulse width versus the pump peak power in the case of Gaussian pulses. The experimental results give a minimum pulse duration of 233 fs, which is in good agreement with the model. Shorter and coherent pulses, down to 90 fs, have been obtained by inserting an interference filter at the optical output.  相似文献

The Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF)booster ring,a full energy injector for the storage ring,is deigned to accelerate the electron beam energy from 150MeV to 3.5GeV that demands high extraction efficiency at the extraction energy with low beam loss rate when electrons are ramping.Closed orbit distortion(COD)caused by bending magnet field uniformity errors which affects the machine performance harmfully could be effectively reduced by bending magnet location sorting.Considering the affections of random errors in measurement,both ideal sorting and realistic sorting are studied based on measured bending magnet field uniformity errors and one reasonable combination of bending magnets which can reduce the horizontal COD by a factor of 5is given as the final installation sequence of the booster bending magnets in this paper.  相似文献

A review of schemes for multiple access in fiber optic networks shows that a hybrid of wavelength and code division multiple access (WCDMA) combines the best features of both. In particular, the hybrid scheme retains the large information carrying capacity of wavelength division multiple access (WDMA) and flexibility of code division multiple access (CDMA). In this paper WDMA, optical CDMA (OCDMA), and WCDMA networks are discussed. In OCDMA networks, concept of incoherent and coherent coding including inverse decoding and matched filter is introduced. The delay performance of both WDMA and WCDMA networks, under the simple suboptimum access protocols based on cyclic search, is computed. It has been shown quantitatively that tuning delay significantly affects the delay performance of both WDMA and WCDMA networks. Futhermore, delay performance of WCDMA networks is always better than the WDMA networks for the same tuning delay, load, and number of users.  相似文献

Results of a study of the effect of γ-radiation on the spectral luminescence properties of cadmium tungstate crystals doped with silver, bismuth, and molybdenum cations are presented. Spectral characteristics of the nondnnnoped crystals are briefly described. Absorption and photo and X-ray luminescence spectra of the crystals taken before and after exposure to γ-radiation (5.5·104 Gy) are compared. It is found that the spectral characteristics of the crystals doped with silver, bismuth, and molybdenum cations do not change markedly after the exposure. The relation between the type of impurity-induced defects, individual characteristics of the impurity cations, and the character of the effect of γ-radiation on the spectral luminescence properties of impure crystals is analyzed (preliminarily). A transient suppression method for piezoelectric ceramic transducer is presented. We experimentally demonstrate amplitude squeezed soliton utilizing intensity-dependent self-phase modulation in an asymmetric Sagnac interferometer.The system.whose components are connected via ferrule connector/physical connection(FC/PC)fiber connectors,constitutes all-fiber configuration to generate squeezed soliton.Soliton amplitude reduction measured by homodyne detection is near 4.0 dB below the shot-noise level.Optimal squeezing fields in both simple and compact all-fiber configuration are obtained.  相似文献

The(2 1)-dimensional nonlinear Schr(o)dinger(NLS)equation with spatially inhomogeneous nonlinearities is investigated,which describes propagation of light in(2 1)-dimensional nonlinear optical media with inhomogeneous nonlinearities.New types of optical modes and nonlinear effects in optical media are presented numerically.The results reveal that the regular split of beam can be obtained in (2 1)-dimensional nonlinear optical media with inhomogeneous nonlinearities,by adjusting the guiding parameter.Furthermore,the stability of beam regular split is discussed numerically,and the results reveal that the beam regular split is stable to the finite initial perturbations.  相似文献

In the real-world application of face recognition system, owing to the difficulties of collecting samples or storage space of systems, only one sample image per person is stored in the system, which is so-called one sample per person problem. Moreover, pose and illumination have impact on recognition performance. We propose a novel pose and illumination robust algorithm for face recognition with a single training image per person to solve the above limitations. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is an efficient and practical approach for face recognition.  相似文献
