The effect of dust charge variation on the dust-acoustic solitary structures is investigated in a warm magnetized two-ion-temperature dusty plasma consisting of a negatively and variably charged extremely massive dust fluid and ions of two different temperatures. It is shown that the dust charge variation as well as the presence of a second component of ions would modify the properties of the dust-acoustic solitary structures and may exite both dust-acoustic solitary holes (soliton waves with a density dip) and positive solitons (soliton waves with a density hump).  相似文献

The phase modulation and the closed-loop controller can generate electrical crosstalk-coupling in digital closed-loop fibre optic gyro. Four electrical cross-coupling paths are verified by the open-loop testing approach. It is found the variation of ramp amplitude will lead to the alternation of gyro bias. The amplitude and the phase parameters of the electrical crosstalk signal are measured by lock-in amplifier, and the variation of gyro bias is confirmed to be caused by the alternation of phase according to the amplitude of the ramp. A digital closed-loop fibre optic gyro electrical crosstalk-coupling model is built by approximating the electrical cross-coupling paths as a proportion and integration segment. The results of simulation and experiment show that the modulation signal electrical crosstalk-coupling can cause the dead zone of the gyro when a small angular velocity is inputted, and it could also lead to a periodic vibration of the bias error of the gyro when a large angular velocity is inputted.  相似文献

We investigate theoretically the temperature effects on the evolution and stability of a separate screening bright--dark soliton pair formed in a serial non-photovoltaic photorefractive crystal circuit. Our numerical results show that, for a stable bright--dark soliton pair originally formed in a crystal circuit at given temperatures, when one crystal temperature changes, the soliton supported by the other crystal will evolve into another stable soliton if the temperature change is quite small, whereas it will become unstable and experience larger cycles of compression or break up into beam filaments if the temperature difference is big enough. The dark soliton is more sensitive to the temperature change than the bright one.  相似文献

The two-phase detonation of suspended mixed cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine(i.e., RDX) and aluminum dust in air is simulated with a two-phase flow model. The parameters of the mixed RDX-Al dust detonation wave are obtained. The double-front detonation and steady state of detonation wave of the mixed dust are analyzed. For the dust mixed RDX with density of 0.565 kg/m~3 and radius of 10μm as well as aluminum with density of 0.145 kg/m~3 and radius of 4μm, the detonation wave will reach a steady state at 23 m. The effects of the size of aluminum on the detonation are analyzed. For constant radius of RDX particles with radius of 10μm,as the radius of aluminum particles is larger than 2.0 μm, the double-front detonation can be observed due to the different ignition distances and reaction rates of RDX and aluminum particles. As the radius of aluminum particles is larger, the velocity, pressure and temperature of detonation wave will be slower. The pressure at the Chapman-Jouguet(CJ) point also becomes lower. Comparing the detonation with single RDX dust, the pressure and temperature in the flow field of detonation of mixed dust are higher.  相似文献

In a biased dissipative photovoltaic-photorefractive system, this paper investigates the temperature effect on the evolution and the self-deflection of the dissipative holographic screening-photovoltaic (DHSP) solitons. The results reveal that, the evolution and the self-deflection of the bright and dark DHSP solitons are influenced by the system temperature. At a given temperature, for a stable DHSP soliton originally formed in the dissipative system, it attempts to evolve into another DHSP soliton when the temperature change is appropriately small, whereas it will become unstable or break down if the temperature departure is large enough. Moreover, the self-deflection degree of the solitary beam centre increases as temperature rises in some range, while it is decided by the system parameters and is slight under small-signal condition. The system temperature can be adjusted to change the formation and the self-deflection of the solitary beam in order to gain certain optical ends. In a word, the system temperature plays a role for the DHSP solitons in the dissipative system.  相似文献

In consideration of adiabatic dust charge variation, the combined effect of the external magnetized field and the dust temperature on head-on collision of the three-dimensional dust acoustic solitary waves is investigated. By using the extended Poincar\'e--Lighthill--Kuo method, the phase shifts and the trajectories of two solitons after the collision are obtained. The effects of the magnitude and the obliqueness of the external magnetic field and the dust temperature on the solitary wave collisions are discussed in detail.  相似文献

The nonlinear propagation of dust acoustic waves is investigated in four-component plasmas consisting of positively charged dust grains, trapped ions, nonthermal electrons, and photoelectron due to ultraviolet irradiation. We use generalized viscoelastic hydrodynamic model for strongly coupled dust grain. In the weak nonlinearity limit, a modified Kadomstev–Petviashvili(KP) equation and a modified KP-Burger equation, which have a damping term coming from nonadiabatic charge variation, have been derived in the kinetic regime and hydrodynamic regime, respectively. With the increasing of UV photon flux, the hydrodynamic regime changes to kinetic regime. The approximate analytical line soliton and shock solutions are investigated in the kinetic regime and hydrodynamic regime, respectively.  相似文献

Linear and nonlinear dust acoustic(DA)waves have been investigated in an opposite polarity dusty plasma comprising negatively and positively charged dust grains,Maxwellian electrons and ions, including the generalized polarization force effect. The properties of linear DA waves have been significantly altered by the dual dust polarity and polarization force.Large amplitude DA solitons have been discussed in the framework of the Sagdeev potential technique. Our results show that both rarefactive and compressive solitons can exist in such a dusty plasma. The basic features of the Sagdeev potential have been examined under the effect of the polarization force parameter R,the ratio of the charge number of the positive dust to that of the negative dust Z,and the Mach number M.The results show that these parameters play a significant role in determining the region of existence of large amplitude DA solitons.  相似文献

The effect of third-order dispersion on breathing localized solutions in the quintic complex GinzburgLandau (CGL) equation is investigated. It is found that even small third-order dispersion can cause dramatic changes in the behavior of the solutions, such as breathing solution asymmetrically and travelling slowly towards the right for the positive third-order dispersion. A little larger third-order dispersion causes the solution breathing only on one side and the other side keeping the soliton profile. For the negative dispersion, the same results can be obtained except for the change of the traveling direction. Otherwise, we analyzed the interaction of two breathing solitons and found a simple method to inhibit this interaction.  相似文献

Large amplitude dust ion acoustic (DIA) solitons as well as double layers (DLs) are studied in a dusty plasma having a high-energy-tail electron distribution. The influence of electron deviation from the Maxwellian distribution and ion streaming on the existence domain of solitons is discussed in the (M, f) space using the pseudo-potential approach. It is found that in the presence of streaming ions and for a fixed f, solitons may appear for larger values of M. This means that in the presence of ion streaming, high values of the Mach number are needed to have soliton. The DIA solitary waves profile is highly sensitive to the ion streaming speed. Their amplitude is found to decrease with an increase of the ion streaming speed. In addition, we find that the ion streaming effect may lead to the appearance of double layers. The results of this axticle should be useful in understanding the basic nonlinear features of DIA waves propagating in space dusty plasmas, especially those including a relative motion between species, such as comet tails and solar wind streams, etc.  相似文献

The propagation of nonlinear waves in dusty plasmas with variable dust charge and two temperature ions is analyzed. By using the reductive perturbation theory, the Kadomtsev-Petviashivili (KP) equation is derived. A Sagdeev potential has been investigated. This potential is used to study the stability conditions for existence of solitonic solutions. Also, it is shown that a rarefactive soliton can exist in most of the cases. The energy of the soliton has been calculated and by using the standard normal-mode analysis a linear dispersion relation has been obtained. The effects of variable dust charge on the amplitude, width and energy of soliton and its effects on the angular frequency of linear wave are also discussed.  相似文献

The nonlinear dust acoustic solitary waves in a magnetized dusty plasma with nonthermal ions and variable dust electric charge is studied analytically. Using reductive perturbation method the Zakharov‐Kuznetsov (ZK) equation is derived and effect of nonthermal coefficient, external magnetic field, and variable dust electric charge on the amplitude and width of soliton in dusty plasma is investigated. With increasing the rate of dust charge variation with respect of plasma potential, the amplitude of generated solitary waves in magnetized dusty plasma increases to a constant magnitude while its width decreases. Increasing the nonthermal ions coefficient leads to a noticeable decrease in the amplitude of solitons while the width of soliton increases. The amplitude of generated solitary waves in such a dusty plasma is independent of applied external magnetic field but we will have more localized solitons with increasing the external magnetic field strength. It is found that solitons are strongly influenced by the direction of external magnetic field. (© 2013 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

The dust grain charging effect on large amplitude ion-acoustic double layers in a dusty plasma are investigated by the numerical calculation. The nonlinear structures of ion-acoustic double layers are examined, showing that the characteristics of the double layer sensitively depend on the dust charging effect, the influence of the ion temperature, the electrostatic potential, and the Mach number. The flow of the plasma current to the surface of dust particles increases the dust charge numbers. The effect of the ion temperature decreases the propagation speed of the ion-acoustic double layers and decreases the dust charge numbers. It is found that rarefactive double layers can propagate in this system. New findings of large amplitude ion-acoustic double layers with the dust charging effect and finite ion temperature in a dusty plasma are predicted  相似文献

The effects of dust size distribution and dust charge fluctuation of dust grains on the small but finite amplitude nonlinear dust ion-acoustic shock waves, in an unmagnetized multi-ion dusty plasma which contains negative ions, positive ions and electrons, are studied in this paper. A Burgers equation and its stationary solutions are obtained by using the reductive perturbation method. The analytical and numerical results show that the height with polynomial dust size distribution is larger than that of the monosized dusty plasmas with the same dust grains, but the thickness in the case of different dust grains is smaller than that of the monosized dusty plasmas. Furthermore, the moving speed of the shock waves also depend on different dust size distributions.  相似文献

Considering the Boltzmann response of the plasma ions and electrons and inertial dynamics of the charged dust grains, the possibility of very weak compressive soliton near the continuum limit of the dust population has been inferred. It is concluded that the behaviour of such coherent structures could be well described by the numerical analysis of the derived nonlinear classical energy integral equation for bounded solutions. These seem to be higher order dispersive structures within acoustic limit of the nonlinear turbulence. It is observed that the dust density enhancement beyond the continuum threshold causes regular increment in width and amplitude of the soliton structures. It is found that the soliton amplitude sensitively depends on the massive impurity’s population. These coherent structures could be visualized as weakly charged solitary dust clouds of finite extension (∼ plasma Debye length) within Boltzmann environment of plasma particles in their local surroundings. The seeding mechanism of such clouds may be attributed to some plasma instabilities driven by either internal or external free energy sources. Numerical analysis of the problem concludes that the experimental observations of such clouds could be possible in low density plasma regime. It is deduced that for plasma density ∼ 106 cm-3 at temperatures of a few electron volts and for micron to l0nm sized dust grains, the observation of such structures could be possible within wide range variability of the dust population density.  相似文献

In a dusty plasma, the non-adiabaticity of the charge variation on a dust grain surface results in an anomalous dissipation. Analytical investigation shows that this results in a small but finite amplitude dust acoustic (DA) wave propagation which is described by the Korteweg-de Vries-Burger equation. Results of the numerical investigation of the propagation of large-amplitude dust acoustic stationary shock wave are presented here using the complete set of non-linear dust fluid equations coupled with the dust charging equation and Poisson equation. The DA waves are of compressional type showing considerable increase of dust density, which is of significant importance in astrophysical context as it leads to enhanced gravitational attraction considered as a viable process for star formation. The DA shock transition to its far downstream amplitude is oscillatory in nature due to dust charge fluctuations, the oscillation amplitude and shock width depending on the ratioω pd/Vch and other plasma parameters Article presented at the International Conference on the Frontiers of Plasma Physics and Technology, 9–14 December 2002, Bangalore, India.  相似文献

Structural and melting characteristics are investigated for negatively charged dust particles in the presence of a two-dimensional electrostatic parabolic confinement potential. For a restricted number of dust particles that are subject to the permanent flow of electrons and ions, numerical simulation is conducted taking into account the random charge fluctuation. The amplitude of the charge fluctuation affects the ground-state configuration and melting characteristics of a finite number of particles interacting through Coulomb potential. The melting temperature decreases when the amplitude of the charge fluctuation increases as a result of particles' strong repulsive interaction.  相似文献
