本文使用近邻耦合模型得到的解析解,分析了周期性波导中输入态对量子行走的粒子数的概率分布函数 和二阶相干性的影响.结果表明:输入态的对称性质对量子行走过程的二阶相干度有影响, 而对粒子数的概率分布函数影响不大. 关键词: 周期性光波导阵列 量子行走 二阶相干度 纠缠态  相似文献

The transmission of normally incident plane wave through an array of subwavelength metallic slits curved with perpendicular waveguides has been explored. Two-dimensional electromagnetic fields inside and near the metal film are simulated by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The perpendicular waveguides in the middle of slits affect the modes of slits in two different manners: commonly, the extended length of the waveguides leads to the increase of the resonant wavelength; shifting the waveguides location along the vertical slits, red or blue shift of resonant wavelengths can be achieved, however to some confirmed length of the perpendicular waveguides, there is the only one resonant wavelength. In addition, a new explanation model is proposed in which the resonance is ascribed to three reasons: the Fabry-Perot cavity theory, the surface current flow, and the surface charges. All the calculated results are well explained by our proposed model.  相似文献

A three‐dimensional X‐ray detector for imaging 30–200 keV photons is described. It comprises a set of semi‐transparent structured scintillators, where each scintillator is a regular array of waveguides in silicon, and with pores filled with CsI. The performance of the detector is described theoretically and explored in detail through simulations. Based on available hardware, a spatial resolution of 1 µm is obtainable. The resolution of a single screen is shown to be determined only by the pitch, at least up to 100 keV. In comparison with conventional homogeneous screens, an improvement in efficiency by a factor of 5–15 is obtainable. The cross‐talk between screens in the three‐dimensional detector is shown to be negligible. The three‐dimensional concept enables ray‐tracing and super‐resolution algorithms to be applied.  相似文献

We establish the photonic superfluid theory in waveguides made of self-defocussing polar crystals. In quantum theory it is shown that photons can sense an attractive effective interaction by exchange of virtual optical phonons. Such an interaction leads to the photonic superfluid state, in which a propagating photon pair consists of a combination of two photons with opposite transverse wave vector and spins. The most important property of the photonic superfluid state is that the system of photon pairs evolves without scattering attenuations. The traveling-wave superfluid state has the squeezing property and the soliton effect.  相似文献

We establish the superfluidity theory of coherent light in waveguides made of nonlinear polar crystals.It is found that the pairing state of photons in a nonlinear polar crystal is the photonic superfluid state.The photon-photon interaction potential is an attractive effective interaction by exchange of virtual optical phonons.In the traveling-wave pairing state of photons,the photon number is conserved,which is similar to the Bose-Einstein condensation(BEC) state of photons.In analogy to the BCS-BEC crossover theory of superconductivity,we derive a set of coupled order parameter and number equations,which determine the solution of the traveling-wave superfluid state of photons.This solution gives the critical velocity of light in a self-focusing nonlinear waveguide.The most important property of the photonic superfluid state is that the system of photon pairs evolves without scattering attenuations.  相似文献

We show that a three-qubit phase gate on three modes of a cavity can be realized via resonant atom–cavity interaction. By introducing two strong classical fields and modulating the amplitudes, we obtain the effective form of nonlinear interaction between photons in the three-mode cavity. The availability is testified via numerical analysis. We also consider both the situations with and without effect of decoherence.  相似文献

The interaction system of a semi-infinite diatomic dielectric and the electromagnetic field propagating parallelly to the surface is studied. The long-wave optical phonon modes of the semi-infinite dielectric are calculated including the electronic polarizability by a quantum-mechanical theory. Retardation effects are neglected. A quantum field theory method of surface polaritons is developed to calculate the operator describing the interaction between a photon and the phonon polarization fields of the semi-infinite crystal, with explicit inclusion of surface effects. The dispersion relations of the surface phonon-polaritons are derived and discussed. The results are in good agreement with those obtained by the conventional, macroscopic dielectric theory of surface polaritons and experimental ATR (attenuated total reflection) spectra. The dispersion cuwes of polariton leaking modes caused by the interaction between bulk TO mode with surface effect and photons are presented in a graphical form. The k||-dependence of the electric field strength in each polariton branch is calculated and presented also in a graphical form. We also research the spatial dependence of the field strength in each polariton branch. It is found that these properties are influenced and modulated by the surface phonons because of the interaction between photons and the surface phonon modes of the semi-infinite dielectric system. Hence the divergent nature (diffraction effect) of light propagating along the fib& and waveguides is restrained. We present a method how to use the boundary conditions in the quantum theory, which will be discussed in detail.  相似文献

We investigated the interaction of discrete solitons with defect states fabricated in arrays of coupled waveguides. We achieved attractive and repulsive defects by decreasing and increasing, respectively, the spacing of one pair of waveguides in an otherwise uniform array. Linear and nonlinear propagation in the same samples show distinctly different properties. The role of the Peierls-Nabarro potential in the interaction of the soliton with the defect is discussed.  相似文献

采用两束相干平行光形成的干涉光场辐照LiNbO3: Fe晶体,通过光折变效应在晶体中写入了阵列平面光波导.分别采用马赫-曾德干涉仪光路和光栅衍射法测量了阵列平面光波导的横向折射率分布和周期,并对所写入的阵列平面光波导进行了初步的导光测试.实验结果表明,用这种方法写入阵列平面光波导简便可行.  相似文献

The possibility of controlling localized fields in multimode regular waveguides on the basis of the interference invariant principle is studied by numerical simulation. It is demonstrated that, by tuning the radiation frequency of an array without changing the initial field distribution at the aperture, it is possible to perform the scanning by a focal spot in a waveguide. Estimates of the efficiency of this method depending on the size of a vertical linear array are presented.  相似文献

Fano-like quantum routing of single photons in a system with two waveguides coupled to two collocated atoms is investigated theoretically. Using a full quantum theory in real space, photonic scattering amplitudes along four ports of the waveguide network are analytically obtained. It is shown that, by adjusting the atomic dipole-dipole interaction, an evident Fano-line shape emerges in the scattering spectra of the single-dot configuration system.Moreover, Fano resonance can also be achieved by varying the atom-waveguide coupling strength and atomic detuning, in the presence of the atomic dipole-dipole interaction. Therefore, the atomic dipole-dipole interaction may be utilized as a possible way to control spectral Fano-like resonance. The feasibility with the experimental waveguide channels is also discussed.  相似文献

Passage of beamstrahlung photons through the bunch fields at the interaction point of the ILC determines background pair production. The number of background pairs per bunch crossing due to the Breit-Wheeler, Bethe-Heitler and Landau-Lifshitz processes is well-known. However, the Breit-Wheeler process also takes place in and is modified by the bunch fields. A full QED calculation of this stimulated Breit-Wheeler process reveals cross-section resonances due to the virtual particle reaching the mass shell. The one-loop electron self-energy in the bunch field is also calculated and included as a radiative correction. The bunch field is considered to be a constant crossed electromagnetic field with associated bunch field photons. Resonance is found to occur whenever the energy of contributed bunch field photons is equal to the beamstrahlung photon energy. The stimulated Breit-Wheeler cross-section exceeds the ordinary Breit-Wheeler cross-section by several orders of magnitude and a significantly different pair background may result.   相似文献

We present a novel approach to search for sub-eV neutral bosons coupling to two photons which can be candidates for dark fields in the universe. Similarly to conventional particle colliders, the search aims at detection of resonance states of these dark fields produced by photon-photon scattering, however, the interaction rate is enhanced by the stimulated decay of resonances into two photons under a background coherent laser field. We discuss the future experimental strategy to explore a large mass-coupling parameter space with high-intensity lasers.  相似文献

为了保持恒定束宽扬声器(Constant beamwidth transducer,CBT)线阵列高频指向性恒定,解决单元间距过小的问题,减小阵元数目,提出了利用声波导代替扬声器单元,建立了波导CBT阵列的声场模型。基于数值计算结果和数据分析,比较了不同阵元数目的波导CBT阵列和CBT阵列的指向性和声场分布,讨论了有效辐射率和使用阵元数目的关系。通过提高有效辐射率可以有效降低CBT阵列所需阵元数目,解决了扬声器单元间距过小的问题。  相似文献

We retrieve intensity and phase profiles of 280 fs, 50 MHz optical pulses with 124 aJ coupled pulse energy (960 photons) by second-harmonic generation (SHG) frequency-resolved optical gating, using aperiodically poled LiNbO3 waveguides. The strong nonlinear interaction that is due to confinement within the micrometer-sized waveguide structure and the linearly chirped poling period contribute, respectively, to high SHG efficiency and broad phase-matching bandwidth. The achieved sensitivity is 2.7 x 10(-6) mW2, improving on the previous record for self-referenced complete pulse characterization by 5 orders of magnitude.  相似文献

We investigate few-photon scattering properties in two one-dimensional waveguides chirally coupled to a nonlinear cavity. The quantum states of scattered few photons are solved analytically via a real-space approach, and the solution indicates the few-photon reflection and transmission properties. When inputting two photons of equal energy to resonate with the cavity, the propagation characteristics of the two photons will be interesting, which is different from the previous anti-bunching effects with a quantum emitter. More importantly, when the total energy of the two incident photons equals the energy of a nonlinear cavity accommodating two photons, influence of the bound state will become larger to result in disappearance of antibunching effect. However, the bound state has no effect on probability of routing to another waveguide.  相似文献

A planar homogeneous waveguide array with two-level systems has been considered. The evolution of an electromagnetic field is described by the Maxwell-Bloch equations taking into account the action of the fields of neighboring waveguides beyond the slow-envelope approximation. It has been shown that the model in the continuous approximation is reduced to an integrable system of equations, including the case of a nonzero static dipole moment. The model can be used to analyze the nonlinear mechanism of the compression of pulses and the conditions of overcoming of the diffraction limit.  相似文献

In vacuum high-intensity lasers can cause photon–photon interaction via the process of virtual vacuum polarization which may be measured by the phase velocity shift of photons across intense fields. In the optical frequency domain, the photon–photon interaction is polarization-mediated described by the Euler–Heisenberg effective action. This theory predicts the vacuum birefringence or polarization dependence of the phase velocity shift arising from nonlinear properties in quantum electrodynamics (QED). We suggest a method to measure the vacuum birefringence under intense optical laser fields based on the absolute phase velocity shift by phase-contrast Fourier imaging. The method may serve for observing effects even beyond the QED vacuum polarization.  相似文献
