We have studied the nonlinear optical absorption and the nonlinear optical rectification of an exciton in a nanoring in the presence of magnetic flux. The calculation results show that one can control the properties of nonlinear optical absorption and nonlinear optical rectification of a nanoring by tuning the outer and inner radius. Moreover, we find that the nonlinear optical properties of a nanoring can be modulated by the magnetic flux through the nanoring. 相似文献

Nonlinear optical limiting materials have attracted much research interest in recent years. Carbon nanoparticles suspended
in liquids show a strong nonlinear optical limiting function. It is important to investigate the nonlinear optical limiting
process of carbon nanoparticles for further improving their nonlinear optical limiting performance. In this study, carbon
nanoparticles were prepared by laser ablation of a carbon target in tetrahydrofuran (THF). Optical limiting properties of
the samples were studied with 532-nm laser light, which is in the most sensitive wavelength band for human eyes. The shape
of the laser pulse plays an important role for initializing the nonlinear optical limiting effect. Time-resolved analysis
of laser pulses discovered 3 fluence stages of optical limiting. Theoretical simulation indicates that the optical limiting

利用UV-Vis吸收光谱、荧光光谱及开孔Z扫描技术对五种锌酞菁配合物的DMF溶液进行了线性与非线性光学性质的表征;并以无取代锌酞菁为例,研究了酞菁溶液线性与非线性光学性能的浓度效应。结果表明五种酞菁均具有显著的荧光和非线性光学效应,其非线性吸收系数在10-9 cm·W-1数量级范围。且随酞菁浓度的改变,其荧光和非线性吸收明显改变,表现出强烈的浓度效应。 相似文献

The linear and nonlinear optical properties of parabolic quantum dots in which two electrons interact with each other through both coulomb repulsion and longitudinal-optical phonon are studied by using the matrix diagonalization method. With typical semiconducting GaAs-based materials, the linear, third-order nonlinear, total optical absorption coefficients and the optical refractive index have been examined. We investigate the nonlinear tunneling of optical solitons through both dispersion and nonlinear barriers by employing the exact solution of the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation with variable coefficients. The extensive numerical simulations show that the optical solitons can be efficiently compressed when they pass through adequate engineered nonlinear barriers. A cascade compression system in a dispersion decreasing fiber with nonlinear barriers on an exponential background is proposed and the cascade compression of optical pulses is further investigated in detail. Finally, the stability to various initial perturbations of the cascade compressed optical soliton and the interaction between two neighboring compressed solitons were investigated too. 相似文献
