The working principles of linear optical quantum computing are based on photodetection, namely, projective measurements. The use of photodetection can provide efficient nonlinear interactions between photons at the singlephoton level, which is technically problematic otherwise. This approach corresponds to a revolution in nonlinear optics at the few-photon level! We report applications of such techniques to prepare quantum correlations as an important resource for Linear Optical Quantum Computing (allowing us to beat the classical computation limits) , Quantum Imaging (allowing us to beat the Rayleigh diffraction limit ), and Heisenberg-limited Optical Interferometry (allowing us to beat the shot-noise limit). We will discuss the interplay of these different fields of research all of which involve the production, manipulation, and detection of single photons.  相似文献

A broad angular response supermirror is designed by the simplex optimization method and fabricated by de magnetron sputtering. The negative effect of the interracial imperfection, mainly consulting from interface roughness and diffusion, is emerged in the calculation of the precise performance of the supermirror. The refleetvity of such a supermirror is measured by the x-ray diffraction instrument (XRD) at Cu Kα line (λ=0.154nm). The experimental refleetivity is about 30% in a fixed broad grazing incident angular range (0.55°-0.85°). The fitting data prove that the thickness of each layer, which is larger than the prospect 0.5 nm, is different from the designed one and the roughness in the supermirror is about 0.85 nm.  相似文献

According to the latest journal citation reports (JCR) in 2009 from Information Sciences Institute of USA, the impact factor of Chinese Optics Letters (COL) in 2009 is 0.804 which ranks 39 in all of the 70 optical journals included by SCI (total cites J rank 36), ranks 2 in all optical journals of Asia included by SCI (total cites rank 1), and ranks in the top 40% of all the Chinese journals included by SCI. COL was established in 2003 and included by SCI in 2007. Based on the calculation formula of the JCR, the impact factor of COL and other relevant data are first announced by the JCR starting from 2009.  相似文献
