A new kind of quantum non-Gaussian state with vortex structure, termed Bessel-Gaussian vortex state, is constructed, which is an eigenstate of sum of squared annihilation operators a2 + b2. The Wigner function of the quantum vortex state is derived and exhibits negativity which is an indication of nonclassicality. It is also found that quantized vortex state is always in entanglement. And a scheme for generating such quantized vortex states is proposed.  相似文献

本文讨论了光学参量频率转换过程中对相干态的演化问题, 获得了对相干态时间演化的解析表达式及在位形空间的波函数, 发现通过适当调节系统元件及相互作用时间, 对相干态在位形空间中的波包能呈现出量子涡态特性, 并且与这样涡态相关的波函数具有修正Bessel-Gaussian形式的结构, 即非高斯型波函数. 在相干态表象下, 这一量子化涡态是两模湮没算符平方和的本征态. 这一讨论揭示了产生量子化涡态的另一可实现方案.  相似文献

For a quantized vortex in a harmonic trap and an optical lattice, we study the interference effect after the combined potentials are switched off. Both numerical and analytical calculations show that there is a vortex splitting in the interference effect of this freely expanding quantum gas, i.e. every interference peak is also a quantized vortex. The experimental scheme to verify this interference effect is discussed.  相似文献

Quantum turbulence in superfluids appears as a stochastic tangle of quantized vortex lines. Interest to this system extends beyond the field of superfluid helium to include a large variety of topics both fundamental and engineering problem. In the article we present a discussion of the hot topic, which is undoubtedly mainstream in this field, and which deals with the quasi-classical properties of quantum turbulence. The idea that classical turbulence can be modeled by a set of slim vortex tubes (or vortex sheets) has been discussed for quite a long time. In classical fluids, the concept of thin vortex tubes is a rather fruitful mathematical model. Quantum fluids, where the vortex filaments are real objects, give an excellent opportunity for the study of the question, whether the dynamics of a set of vortex lines is able to reproduce (at least partially) the properties of real hydrodynamic turbulence. The main goal of this article is to discuss the current state of this activity. We cover such important topics as theoretical justification of this model, and experimental and numerical evidence for quasi-classical turbulence.  相似文献

The evolution of a system state is derived based on the nonresonant interaction of a three-level "Λ" type atom with two cavity modes at a pair coherent state and two classic fields, and a cavity field state is analysed in detail under conditional detecting. It is found that the quantized modified Bessel-Gaussian states as well as the superposition states consisting of the quantized vortex states with different weighted coefficients may be prepared through carefully preparing an initial atomic state and appropriately adjusting the interaction time. The scheme provides an additional choice to realize the two-mode quantized vortex state within the context of cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED).  相似文献

We investigate the stability of a quantized vortex in a weakly interacting Bose gas, trapped in a toroidal container with hard walls. Calculating the excitation spectrum numerically and determining the stability condition by the Landau criterion, we examine the effect of reducing the confinement region of the condensate on the vortex stability. We find that tight confinement of the condensate increases the stabilization of the quantized vortex because an increase in the zero sound velocity due to tight confinement prevents the emergence of the elementary excitation which breaks superfluidity of the Bose system. We also discuss the experimental setup to observe such an effect.  相似文献

We study the quantum dynamics of a single-Cooper-pair box biased by a classical voltage and also irradiated by a single-mode quantized field. We demonstrate that under weak damping of the quantized field, the collapse-revival phenomena can exist in this system, and the oscillations of the collapse and revival depend sensitively on the initial state of the single-mode quantized field and the damping rate κ. We also demonstrate that this system can show the beats phenomena.  相似文献

Quantized vortices in superfluid3He display a variety of novel structures that have previously not been observed in any other quantum fluids; their basic experimental manifestations and theoretical features have been reviewed by Hakonen, Lounasmaa and Simola [Physica B160 (1989) 1] and by Salomaa and Volovik [Rev. Mod. Phys.59 (1987) 533]. In order not to repeat these reviews in this paper, here we choose to discuss the theme of the possible pointlike orderparameter singularities, monopoles, that can occur on the quantized3He vortices. Such monopoles, mathematical analogues of the magnetic Dirac monopole, may exist in superfluid3He due to the complicated order-parameter structure, which makes it possible to have several different types of quantized vortex lines and phase boundaries between the superfluid states. Analogs of Dirac monopoles, and also monopoles with 1/2 and 1/4 of the magnetic charge of the Dirac monopole, may exist at the points of intersections of quantized vortex lines and phase boundaries — or along vortices if they change their quantum state; several examples are discussed.Invited talk at the International Conference on Macroscopic Quantum Phenomena, Smolenice Castle, Czechoslovakia, September 18–22, 1989.I want to thank G. We study the diffusion of a packet of quantized vorticity initially confined inside a small region. We find that reconnections fragment the packet into a gas of small vortex loops which fly away. The time scale of the process is in order-of-magnitude agreement with recent experiments performed in 3He-B.  相似文献

We propose a scheme to achieve Mach-Zehnder interferometry using a quantized Bose-Josephson junction with a negative charging energy. The quantum adiabatic evolution through a dynamical bifurcation is used to accomplish the beam splitting and recombination. The negative charging energy ensures the existence of a path-entangled state which enhances the phase measurement precision to the Heisenberg limit. A feasible detection procedure is also presented. The scheme should be realizable with current technology.  相似文献

The Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations are used for a number of theoretical works to describe quantum and thermal fluctuations of trapped Bose-Einstein condensates. We consider the case in which the condensate has a highly quantized vortex. It is known that these equations have complex eigenvalues in this case. We give the complete set including a pair of complex modes whose eigenvalues are complex conjugates to each other. The expansion of the quantum fields which represent neutral atoms in terms of the complete set brings the operators associated with the complex modes, which are simply neither bosonic nor fermionic ones. The eigenstate of the Hamiltonian is given. Introducing the notion of the physical states, we discuss the instability of the condensates in the context of Kubo’s linear response theory.  相似文献

A dissipative version of the quantized standard map is constructed by analytical means and iterated numerically to study the long time behavior in various regions of the damping rate. For weak dissipation, stochastic transitions induced by the heat bath disrupt the localization in the action variable, which suppresses chaotic motion in the conservative quantized standard map, and tend to restore diffusion of action. A steady state is reached on the time scale of classical relaxation. For strong dissipation, observable deviations from classical behavior both in the transients and in the statey state are due to quantum noise. They are reproduced by a classical stochastic map which is approached by the dissipative quantum map as its semi-classical limit.  相似文献

In superfluid3He-A singly and doubly quantized vortex lines can coexist in a rotating container. We measure with NMR techniques the radial distribution of the two vortex types in an array of vortex lines. The radial composition is found to depend on the procedure by which the array has been formed. The result shows that in superfluid3He the energy barriers separating different configurations of the vortex array are inpenetrably high for a metastable state to relax.  相似文献

We investigated quantized modes of kinks in the phase space of superconducting gaps in a superconductor with multiple gaps. The kink is described by the sine-Gordon model in a two-gap superconductor and by the double sine-Gordon model in a three-gap superconductor. A fractional-flux vortex exists at the edge of the kink, and a fractional-flux vortex will be stable in a three-gap superconductor with time-reversal symmetry breaking. The kink and fractional-flux vortex exhibit massless modes as a sliding motion. We show further that there are one zero-energy mode (massless mode) and quantized excitation modes in kinks, which are characteristic features of multi-gap superconductors. The equation of quantized modes for the double sine-Gordon model is solved numerically. The correction to the ground-state energy is calculated based on the renormalization theory.  相似文献

Recently, the splitting of a topologically created doubly quantized vortex into two singly quantized vortices was experimentally investigated in dilute atomic cigar-shaped Bose-Einstein condensates [Y. Shin, Phys. Rev. Lett. 93, 160406 (2004)10.1103/PhysRevLett.93.160406]. In particular, the dependency of the splitting time on the peak particle density was studied. We present results of theoretical simulations which closely mimic the experimental setup. We show that the combination of gravitational sag and time dependency of the trapping potential alone suffices to split the doubly quantized vortex in time scales which are in good agreement with the experiments.  相似文献

We construct a new example of a quantum map, the quantized version of the D-transformation, which is the natural extension to two dimensions of the tent map. The classical, quantum and semiclassical behavior is studied. We also exhibit some relationships between the quantum versions of the D-map and the parity projected baker's map. In isotropic macroscopic quantum systems vortex lines can be formed while in anisotropic systems also vortex sheets are possible. Based on measurements of superfluid 3He-A, we present the principles which select between these two competing forms of quantized vorticity: sheets displace lines if the frequency of the external drive exceeds a critical limit. The resulting topologically stable state consists of multiple vortex sheets and has much faster dynamics than the state with vortex lines.  相似文献

The recent experiment by Shin et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 93, 160406 (2004)] on the decay of a doubly quantized vortex is analyzed by numerically solving the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Our results demonstrate that the vortex decay is mainly a consequence of dynamical instability. The monotonic increase observed in the vortex lifetimes is a consequence of the fact that the measured lifetimes incorporate the time it takes for the initial perturbation to reach the central slice. When considered locally, the splitting occurs approximately at the same time in every condensate.  相似文献

For quantum deformations of finite-dimensional contragredient Lie (super)algebras we give an explicit formula for the universalR-matrix. This formula generalizes the analogous formulae for quantized semisimple Lie algebras obtained by M. Rosso, A. N. Kirillov, and N. Reshetikhin, Ya. S. Soibelman, and S. Z. Levendorskii. Our approach is based on careful analysis of quantized rank 1 and 2 (super)algebras, a combinatorial structure of the root systems and algebraic properties ofq-exponential functions.
