Dito and Turrubiates recently introduced an interesting model of the dissipative quantum mechanics of a damped harmonic oscillator in phase space. Its key ingredient is a non-Hermitian deformation of the Moyal star product with the damping constant as deformation parameter. We compare the Dito-Turrubiates scheme with phase-space quantum mechanics (or deformation quantization) based on other star products, and extend it to incorporate Wigner functions. The deformed (or damped) star product is related to a complex Hamiltonian, and so necessitates a modified equation of motion involving complex conjugation. We find that with this change the Wigner function satisfies the classical equation of motion. This seems appropriate since non-dissipative systems with quadratic Hamiltonians share this property.  相似文献

We describe generally deformed Heisenberg algebras in one dimension. The condition for a generalized Leibniz rule is obtained and solved. We analyze conditions under which deformed quantum-mechanical problems have a Fock-space representation. One solution of these conditions leads to a q-deformed oscillator already studied by Lorek et al., and reduces to the harmonic oscillator only in the infinite-momentum frame. The other solution leads to the Calogero model in ordinary quantum mechanics, but reduces to the harmonic oscillator in the absence of deformation. In this paper, we investigate the dissipative quantum dynamics of a harmonic oscillator in the presence a deformed bath by considering the Lamb shift term. The deformed bath is modelled by a collection of deformed quantum harmonic oscillators as a generalization of Hopfield model. The Langevin equation for both the photon number and the fluctuation spectrum under the Weisskopf–Winger approximation are obtained and discussed.  相似文献

A single harmonic oscillator interacting with a broadband squeezed reservoir is analyzed within the framework of master equation without invoking the rotating-wave approximation. The dynamical evolution and photon statistics of the system are investigated by studying mean photon number and second order intensity-intensity correlation function, respectively, under resonance condition which show transient oscillations at twice the harmonic oscillator frequency. The transient fluorescent spectrum reveals asymmetric features. Inclusion of vacuum and field-dependent frequency shifts affects the thermal equilibrium value of the average photon number of the harmonic oscillator.  相似文献

The dissipative dynamics of a system of Fermions is described in the framework of a resonance model—the quantum master equation describes two-body correlations of the system with the environment particles. This equation, with microscopic coefficients depending on the exactly known two-body potential between the system and the environment particles, is discussed in comparison with other master equations, obtained on axiomatic grounds, or derived from a coupling with an environment of harmonic oscillators without altering the quantum conditions. The asymptotic solution is in accordance with the detailed balance principle, and with other generally accepted conditions satisfied during the whole time-evolution: Pauli master equations for the diagonal elements of the density matrix, and damped Bloch–Feynman equations for the non-diagonal ones, that we call dynamical detailed balance. For a harmonic oscillator coupled with the electromagnetic field through dipole interaction, a master equation with transition operators between successive levels is obtained. As an application, the decay width of a quantum logic gate is calculated.  相似文献

The dissipative quantum dynamics of a harmonic oscillator in the presence of a deformed bath is investigated. The deformed bath is modelled by a collection of deformed quantum harmonic oscillators as a generalization of Hopfield model. The transition probabilities between energy levels of the oscillator are obtained perturbatively and discussed.  相似文献

We propose an alternative role of the harmonic oscillator algebra. Observing that the q-deformed harmonic oscillator algebra defines the Chebyshev q object, we show that the q-free particle and the pulsed oscillator are special cases of the Chebyshev q object, characterized by a common deformation parameter q and reduced to a usual free particle as q tends to unity. For the deformed free particle, q is a real number, whereas for the pulsed oscillator it belongs to S 1. Then, we derive the propagator for the Chebyshev q object, from which we obtain the propagators for the deformed free particle and the pulsed oscillator.  相似文献

We derive and solve analytically the non-Markovian master equation for harmonic quantum Brownian motion proving that, for weak system-reservoir couplings and high temperatures, it can be recast in the form of the master equation for a harmonic oscillator interacting with a squeezed thermal bath. This equivalence guarantees preservation of positivity of the density operator during the time evolution and allows one to establish a connection between the dynamics of Schrödinger cat states in squeezed environments and environment-induced decoherence in quantum Brownian motion.

The effect of a thermal reservoir is investigated on a bipartite Gaussian state. We derive a pre-Lindblad master equation in the non-rotating wave approximation for the system. We then solve the master equation for a bipartite harmonic oscillator Hamiltonian with entangled initial state. We show that for strong damping the loss of entanglement is the same as for freely evolving particles. However, if the damping is small, the entanglement is shown to oscillate and eventually tend to a constant non-zero value.  相似文献

An angular analogue to the Giant Dipole (the Giant Angle Dipole) is described. Such collective vibrational motion is specifically investigated for the case of a spin saturated large particle number system contained in a deformed harmonic oscillator well. The model predicts the ratio of the Angle Dipole to Giant Dipole excitation as equal to the deformation.  相似文献

We find the correspondence between the operational element of an amplitude damping harmonic oscillator and the Kraus operator solution to the master equation for dissipation. This reveals the equivalence between the two approaches to tackling the dissipation of oscillator-reservoir: one is solving the Kraus operator of the master equation, and the other is deriving the operational element of time evolution operator in the reservoir mode.  相似文献

A phenomenological approach for construction of the Markovian master equation describing the relaxation of the harmonic oscillator to the equilibrium at temperatureT is presented. A superoperator formalism built up by analogy with the second quantization method of quantum mechanics is proposed for the formulation of both the classical and quantum master equations. The quantum-field-theoretical methods are used for the calculation of the mean values of the physical quantities and for the solution of the master equations.  相似文献

Forsu(1, 1)-symmetric Hamiltonians of quantum mechanical systems (e.g. single-mode quantum harmonic oscillator, radial Schrödinger equation for Coulomb problem or isotropic quantum harmonic oscillator, etc.), the Heisenberg algebra of phase-space variables in two dimensions satisfy the bilinear commutation relation [ip,x]=1 (in normal units). Also there are different realizations ofsu(1, 1) by the generators of quantum harmonic oscillator algebra. We seek here the forms of deformed Heisenberg algebras (bilinear in deformedx and ip) associated with deformedsu(1, 1)-symmetric Hamiltonians. These forms are not unique in contrast to the undeformed case; and these forms are obtained here by considering different realizations of the deformedsu(1, 1) algebra by deformed oscillator algebras (satisfying different bilinear relations in deformed creation and annihilation operators), and then imposing different conditions (e.g. the deformed Heisenberg algebra of the form of the undeformed one, the form of realizations of the deformedsu(1, 1) algebra by deformed phase-space variables being the same as that ofsu(1, 1) algebra by undeformed phase-space variables, etc.), assuming linear relations between deformed phase-space variables and deformed creation-annihilation operators (as it is done in the undeformed case), we get different Heisenberg algebras. These facts are revealed in the case of a two-body Calogero model in its centre of mass frame (and for no other integrable systems in one-dimension having potential of the formV(x i ? xj).  相似文献

Deformed squeezed states are introduced as the q-analogues of the conventional undeformed harmonic oscillator algebra squeezed states. It is shown that the boundary vectors in the matrix-product states approach to multiparticle diffusion processes are deformed coherent or squeezed states of a deformed harmonic oscillator algebra. A deformed squeezed and coherent-states solution to the n-species stochastic diffusion boundary problem is proposed and studied.Received: 31 January 2003, Published online: 10 October 2003  相似文献

The decoherence of a harmonic oscillator under two-dimensional quantum Brownian motion on a noncommutative plane is investigated. The interaction with the environment is considered by two separate models so-called coupled and uncoupled. The two-dimensional master equation and its noncommutative counterpart are derived for both employed models. The rate of the linear entropy (predictability sieve) is chosen as a criterion to investigate the purity in the presence of the space noncommutativity. Besides, a two-dimensional charged harmonic oscillator on a plane which is imposed by a perpendicular magnetic field is introduced as a realization of our model. Therefore, our approach provides a formalism to investigate the influence of the magnetic field on the decoherence of the pure states. We show that in the high magnetic field limit the rate of the decoherence will be decreased.  相似文献

A generalized relativistic harmonic oscillator for spin 1/2 particles is studied. The eigenfunctions and eigenenergies are obtained for the ring-shaped non-spherical harmonic oscillator by solving Dirac equation with equal mixture of vector and scalar potentials in opposite signs, for which pseudospin symmetry is exact. Several particular cases such as the ring-shaped harmonic oscillator, non-spherical harmonic oscillator, and spherical harmonic oscillator are also discussed.  相似文献
