This article describes a method for silica coating of Co–Pt alloy nanoparticles prepared in the presence of poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) as a stabilizer. The Co–Pt nanoparticles were prepared in an aqueous solution at 25–80 °C from CoCl2 (3.0 × 10−4 M), H2PtCl6 (3.0 × 10−4 M), PVP (0–10 g/L), and NaBH4 (4.8 × 10−3–2.4 × 10−2 M). The silica coating was performed for the Co–Pt nanoparticle colloid containing the PVP ([Co] = [Pt] = 3.0 × 10−5 M) at 25 °C in (1/4) (v/v) water/ethanol solution with tetraethoxyorthosilicate (TEOS) (7.2 × 10−5–7.2 × 10−3 M) and ammonia (0.1–1.0 M). Silica particles, which had an average size of 43 nm and contained multiple cores of Co–Pt nanoparticles with a size of ca. 8 nm, were produced at 1.4 × 10−3 M TEOS and 0.5 M ammonia after the preparation of Co–Pt nanoparticles at 80 °C, 5 g/L PVP, and 2.4 × 10−2 M NaBH4. Their core particles were fcc Co–Pt alloy crystallites. Their saturation magnetization was 2.0-emu/g sample, and their coercive field was 12 Oe.  相似文献

Carbon nanofiber (CNF) network supported Pt and Pt-Ni alloy nano particle catalysts were prepared by electrochemical deposition at different deposition cycles. Structure, composition and surface morphology of the Pt/CNF and Pt-Ni/CNF were analyzed using X-ray diffraction, Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy. Structural analysis by XRD revealed a face centered cubic crystal structure for Pt and its alloy. SEM images have shown that the Pt-Ni nanoparticles distributed evenly on the CNF network. The electrocatalytic activity of the Pt/CNF and Pt-Ni/CNF electrodes was verified using an electrochemical linear voltammetrty (ELV), cyclic voltammetry (ECV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in an alkaline solution containing 1 M C2H5OH + 1 M KOH. The results show increased catalytic activity with enhancement of the Pt-Ni alloy formation.  相似文献

AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) based hydrogen sensors incorporating platinum nanonetworks in the gate region were demonstrated. Pt nanonetworks with 2–3 nm diameter were synthesized by a simple and low-cost solution phase method, and applied to the gate electrode of transistor sensor. The HEMT with physically and electrically connected Pt nanonetwork gate showed good pinch-off and modulation of drain current characteristics. Compared to conventional Pt thin film AlGaN/GaN HEMT sensor, the Pt nanonetwork sensor has dramatically improved current response to hydrogen. Relative current change of Pt nanonetwork gated sensor in 500 ppm H2 balanced with Air ambient was 3.3 × 106% at VGS of ?3.3 V, while 2.5 × 102% at VGS of ?2.9 V for Pt film. This results from large increase in channel conductance induced by huge catalytic surface area of nanostructured Pt networks.  相似文献

Pt/Fe3O4 core-shell nanoparticles have been prepared by a modified polyol method. Pt nanoparticles were first prepared via the reduction of Pt(acac)2 by polyethylene glycol-200 (PEG-200), and layers of iron oxide were subsequently deposited on the surface of Pt nanoparticles by the thermal decomposition of Fe(acac)3. The nanoparticles were characterized by XRD and HR-TEM. The as-prepared Pt/Fe3O4 nanoparticles have a chemically disordered FCC structure and transformed into chemically ordered fct structure after annealing in reducing atmosphere (4% H2, 96% Ar) at 700 °C. The ordered fct FePt phase has high magnetic anisotropy with coercivity reaching 7.5 kOe at room temperature and 9.3 kOe at 10 K.  相似文献

Recovery properties after H2S catalytic poisoning of catalytic-type gas sensor with photo-catalysts and UV radiation have been examined. Each sensing material of the sensor consists of Pd, Pt supported on γ-Al2O3 and Pd/titanate, Pt/titanate nanotubes or TiO2 particles. Pd/titanate and Pt/titanate nanotubes photo-catalyst were synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis method. All the sensors were deactivated after 500 ppm H2S exposure for 20 h. The sensors with Pd/titanate or Pt/titanate nanotubes showed regenerated voltage response under UV radiation. However the sensor with TiO2 particles showed negligible regenerated voltage response. Regenerated voltage response with Pd/titanate or Pt/titanate nanotubes may stem from location of Pd or Pt catalyst on the titanate nanotube photo-catalyst.  相似文献

Density functional theory is used to study oxygen adsorption and its effect on surface segregation in (2 1 1) surfaces of Pt(shell)/M(core) and Pt3M (M = Co, Ir) alloys. It is found that the most energetically favorable oxygen adsorption site is the bridge site over and parallel to the (1 0 0) step. Surface segregation phenomena is observed in Pt3Co, Pt3Ir and Pt/Co(core) systems. The Pt/Ir(core) structure was the only one, among the studied systems, that showed antisegregation behavior even in presence of oxygen adsorbed.  相似文献

We have used density functional theory method to calculate the Pt surface segregation energy in the Pt3Ni (111) surface doped with a third transition metal M and thus investigated the influence of component M on the extent of Pt segregation to the outermost layer of these Pt3Ni/M (111) surface. As a third component in the Pt3Ni/M (111) surface, V, Fe, Co, Mo, Tc, Ru, W, Re, Os, and Ir were predicted to lead to even more negative Pt surface segregation energies than that in the based Pt3Ni (111) surface; Ti, Cr, Mn, Cu, Zr, Nb, Rh, Hf, and Ta would still retain the preference of Pt segregation to the surface but with less extent than the replaced Ni, while Pd, Ag, and Au would completely suppress the Pt segregation to the Pt3Ni/M (111) surfaces. Furthermore, we examined the relation between the Pt surface segregation energy in the Pt3Ni/M (111) surfaces and the material properties (lattice parameter, heat of solution, and Pt surface segregation energy) of binary alloys Pt3M. It was found that the surface energy effect, strain effect, and heat of solution effect induced by the doped element M would collectively affect the Pt surface segregation energy in the Pt3Ni/M (111) surfaces.  相似文献

Ce–Ti–O supports with different Ce/Ti molar ratios were synthesized by the solvothermal method using hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide. Pt nanoparticles were then supported by photochemical deposition. The shape, size, and structure of these materials were analyzed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The single CeO2 support was also prepared, consisting of agglomerated cubic particles ranging from ~3 to 8 nm. When titania was combined with ceria, a nanostructured architecture was produced, evidencing the strong influence of Ti in the support structure. Photodeposition of Pt nanoparticles is more efficient on Ce–Ti–O supports than in pristine CeO2. Crystalline Pt nanoparticles (mainly of ~2 to 4 nm) were detected. The catalytic properties of the materials were tested in the selective hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde to cinnamyl alcohol. It was observed that Pt supported on Ce–Ti–O is more active and selective than Pt on CeO2 or TiO2 separately. The catalyst with 40 mol% Ce leads to total conversion of cinnamaldehyde in a few minutes; however, higher selectivity toward the desired product (cinnamyl alcohol) was obtained with higher amounts of Ce (50 mol%).  相似文献

One of the greatest challenges in preparing TiO2-based oxygen electrodes for PEM fuel cells is increasing the electrical catalytic activity of Pt nanoparticle/TiO2 composites by improving the dispersion of Pt. This article describes a new way for improving the dispersion of Pt nanoparticles by depositing them on TiO2 fibers and using microwave irradiation. The Pt nanoparticles used in this experiment is about 5 nm in diameter and the diameter of TiO2 fibers could be controlled ranging from 30 to 60 nm and Pt nanoparticles still keep their size when the deposition amount is increased on the surface of TiO2 fibers. The Pt nanoparticles were highly dispersed without agglomeration even at a weight percentage of composites as high as 40%. The position of Pt nanoparticles located in the fiber and the composition of Pt/TiO2, which had great influence on the electric conductivity and electrical catalytic activity of the composite, could be easily controlled.  相似文献

An increasing energy demand and environmental pollution create a pressing need for clean and sustainable energy solutions. TiO2 semiconductor material is expected to play an important role in helping solve the energy crisis through effective utilization of solar energy based on photovoltaic devices. Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are potentially lower cost alternative to inorganic silicon-based photovoltaic cells. In this study, we report on the fabrication of DSSCs from anodic TiO2 nanotubes (NT) powder, produced by rapid breakdown potentiostatic anodization of Ti foil in 0.1 M HClO4 electrolyte, as photoanode. TiO2 NT powders with a typical NT outer diameter of approximately 40 nm, wall thickness of approximately 8–15 nm, and length of about 20–25 μm, have been synthesized. The counter electrode was made by electrodeposition of Pt from an aqueous solution of 5 mM H2PtCl6 onto fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) glass substrate. The above front-side illuminated DSSCs were compared with back-side illuminated DSSCs fabricated from anodic TiO2 NTs that were grown on the top of Ti foil as photoanode. The highest cell efficiency was 3.54% under 100 mW/cm2 light intensity (1 sun AM 1.5G light, Jsc = 14.3 mA/cm2, Voc = 0.544 V, FF = 0.455). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the fabrication of DSSC from anodic TiO2 NTs powder. The TiO2/FTO photoanodes were characterized by FE-SEM, XRD, and UV–Visible spectroscopy. The catalytic properties of Pt/FTO counter electrodes have been examined by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

A platinum/reduced graphene oxide (Pt/rGO) nanocomposite acting as a counter electrode (CE) was fabricated using a chemical bath deposition method for In2O3-based dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) via sol-gel technique. The report analyzes the morphological and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of the annealing Pt/rGO films at 350, 400, and 450 °C. Micrograph images obtained from field emission scanning electron microscopy demonstrated the annealed films are highly porous. The energy-dispersive X-ray results show that the carbon atoms were homogeneously distributed on the film annealed at 400 °C. A good photovoltaic performance was exhibited with high photocurrent density of 8.1 mA cm−2 and power conversion efficiency (η) of 1.68 % at the Pt/rGO CE annealed at 400 °C. The employed electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analysis quantifies that the Pt/rGO films annealed at 400 °C provide more efficient charge transfer with the lowest effective recombination rate and high electron life time, hence improving the performance of Pt/rGO CE.

We investigated the effects of combination of noble metals M (Rh, Pd, Ir, Pt) and metal oxide supports S (Al2O3, SiO2, ZrO2, CeO2) on the NO + H2 reaction using planar catalysts with M/S two layered thin films on Si substrate. In this study, NO reduction ability per metal atom were evaluated with a specially designed apparatus employing pulse valves for the injection of reactant molecules onto catalysts and a time-of-flight mass spectrometer to measure multiple transient products: NH3, N2 and N2O simultaneously as well as with an atomic force microscopy to observe the surface area of metal particles. The catalytic performances of Rh and Ir catalysts were hardly affected by a choice of a metal oxide support, while Pd and Pt catalysts showed different catalytic activity and selectivity depending on the metal oxide supports. This assortment is consistent with ability to dissociate NO depending on metals without the effect of any support materials. There, the metals to the left of Rh and Ir on the periodic table favor dissociation of NO and those to the right of Pd and Pt tend to show molecular adsorption of NO. Therefore, the catalytic property of noble metals could be assorted into two groups, i.e. Rh and Ir group whose own property would mainly dominate the catalytic performance, and Pd and Pt group whose interaction with metal oxides supports would clearly contribute to the reaction of NO with H2. NO reduction activity of Pd and Pt was found to be promoted above that of Rh and Ir, provided that Pd and Pt were supported by CeO2 and ZrO2.  相似文献

Tungsten trioxide powder with loading 0.1 wt% platinum (Pt/WO3) was prepared for optical detection of organic hydrides such as cyclohexane, decalin by impregnation with PtCl62? and subsequent calcination in air at 500 °C. The scanning electron microscopic observation of Pt/WO3 shows that the Pt particles with mean diameters of 80–100 nm were on the surface of the WO3 powder. The Pt/WO3 showed coloration for 13% cyclohexane at higher 100 °C and for 1.3% cyclohexane at 200 °C. The in-situ XRD results of the Pt/WO3 in coloring/bleaching change indicate that the coloring of Pt/WO3 was caused by transformation of WO3 to tungsten bronze. The analysis of reacted gas demonstrates that Pt on WO3 produces only hydrogen and benzene through dehydrogenation of cyclohexane over 100 °C. It was founded that the Pt/WO3 has potential of optical detection of organic hydrides by heating at higher 100 °C.  相似文献

TiO2 nanotubes were prepared by hydrothermal method and Au (or Pt) was loaded on TiO2 nanotubes by photodeposition method. The photocatalysts were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and N2 adsorption technique, respectively. The photocatalytic properties of the samples were also investigated. The results show that TiO2 nanotubes with uniform diameter were prepared, and they have specific surface areas over 400 m2/g. The specific surface areas of TiO2 nanotubes decrease with the increasing of calcining temperature, and crystalline phase of TiO2 in the wall of nanotubes was transformed from anatase into rutile phase in calcination process. The photocatalytic activities of TiO2 nanotubes are higher than that of nanosized TiO2, and the photocatalytic activities of TiO2 nanotubes were enhanced after loading Au (or Pt). After irradiation for 40 min under a 300 W of middle-pressure mercury lamp (MPML), the degradation rate of methyl orange solution using the Au/TiNT-500 (or Pt/TiNT-500) as a catalyst can reach 96.1% (or 95.1%). On the other hand, Au-loaded sample has evident adsorption peak in visible range, indicating that Au-loaded TiO2 nanotubes are hopeful to become visible light photocatalyst.  相似文献

Thin films of MgTiO3 high-k dielectric have been prepared by RF magnetron sputtering deposition at various substrate temperatures. X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy were used to characterize the deposited films. Experimental results show that substrate temperature has little effect on the stoichinometry. The electrical properties of MgTiO3 metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitors were investigated at various deposition temperatures, Pt/MgTiO3/Pt/SiO2/n-Si, were studied. It is shown that the MgTiO3 (210 nm) MIM capacitor fabricated at 200 °C shows an overall high performance, such as a high capacitance density of ∼1.2 nF/um2, a low leakage current of 1.51 × 10−9 A/cm2 at 5 V, low-voltage coefficients of capacitance, and good frequency dispersion properties. All of these indicate that the MgTiO3 MIM capacitors are very suitable for use in Si analog circuit application or dynamic random access memory (DRAM) cell.  相似文献

Adsorbed hydrogen and water were measured during the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) on the low and high index planes of Pt in 0.5 M H2SO4 using infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy. Hydrogen is adsorbed at the atop site (atop H) on Pt(110) during the HER, whereas adsorbed hydrogen at the asymmetric bridge site (bridge H) is found on Pt(100). The band intensity of the adsorbed hydrogen depends on temperature, indicating that the bands are due to the intermediate species for the HER. The band of the atop H appears on stepped surfaces with (110) step, whereas the asymmetric bridge H is observed on Pt(211) = 3(111)–(100) and Pt(311) = 2(111)–(100) that have (100) step. The absence of the atop H on Pt(100), Pt(211), and Pt(311) can be attributed to the relative stability of the bridge site.  相似文献

The inherent periodically arranged M−NX, M−SX and M−OX units (M are usually Fe, Co, Ni, etc.) in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) can be promising active centers in electrocatalysis. In previous studies, MOFs were usually constructed by energy-consuming hydro- or solvo-thermal reactions. Ultrasonic synthesis is a rapid and environment-friendly technique when envisaging MOFs’ industrial applications. In addition, different synthetic pathways for MOFs may lead to difference in their microstructure, resulting in different electrocatalytic performance. Nevertheless, only a handful of MOFs were successfully prepared by ultrasonic synthesis and few were applied in electrochemical catalysis. Herein, we constructed Ni/Co-catecholates (Ni/Co-CATs) synthesized by one-step ultrasonic method (250 W, 40 KHz, 25 W/L, Ultrasonic clearing machine) and compared their performance in oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) with that of Ni/Co-CATs synthesized by hydrothermal method. Ni-CAT and Co-CAT prepared by ultrasonic showed the half-wave potential of −0.196 V and −0.116 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively. The potentials were more positive than those prepared by hydro-thermal method. And they showed excellent electrochemical stability in neutral solution. The latter was only 32 mV lower than that of commercial Pt/C. The improved performance in ORR was attributed to higher specific surface area and mesopore volume as well as more structural defects generated in the ultrasonic synthesis process, which could facilitate their exposure of electrocatalytic active sites and their mass transport. This work gives some perspective into cost-effective synthetic strategies of efficient MOFs-based electrocatalysts.  相似文献

Lead free Ba0.92Ca0.08Ti0.95Zr0.05O3 (BCZT) thin films were deposited on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si and LaNiO3(LNO)/Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates by a sol–gel processing technique, respectively. The effects of substrate on structure, dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated in detail. The BCZT thin films deposited on LNO/Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates exhibit (100) orientation, larger grain size and higher dielectric tunability (64%). The BCZT thin films deposited on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si exhibit (110) orientation, higher Curie temperature (75 °C), better piezoelectric property (d33 of 50 pm/V) and lower dielectric loss (0.02). The differences in dielectric and piezoelectric properties in the two kinds of oriented BCZT films should be attributed to the difference of structure, in-plane stress and polarization rotation in orientation engineered BCZT films.  相似文献

Ba0.9Sr0.1TiO3 (BST) thin films were deposited on fused quartz and Pt/TiN/Si3N4/Si substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering technique. Microstructure and chemical bonding states of the BST films annealed at 700 °C were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, glancing angle X-ray diffraction and Raman spectrum. Optical constants including refractive indices, extinction coefficients and bandgap energies of the as-deposited BST film and the BST films annealed at 650, 700 and 750 °C, respectively, were determined from transmittance spectra by envelope method and Tauc relation. Dielectric constant and remnant polarization for the BST films increase with increasing annealing temperature. Leakage current density-applied voltage (JV) data indicate that the dominant conduction mechanism for all the BST capacitors is the interface-controlled Schottky emission under the conditions of 14 V < V < 30 V and −30 V < V < −14 V. Furthermore, the inequipotential JV characteristics for the BST films annealed at various temperatures are mainly attributed to the combined effects of the different thermal histories, relaxed stresses and strains, and varied Schottky barrier heights in the BST/Pt and Pt/BST interfaces.  相似文献

Lead-free (Bi0.5Na0.5)(Ti1-xMnx)O3 (BNTMn-x; x = 0, 0.0025, 0.0050, 0.0100) thin films were fabricated using a chemical solution deposition method on Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si substrate. The effect of Mn substitution on crystal structures, surface morphologies, and ferroelectric and transverse piezoelectric properties of BNTMn-x thin films was investigated. The 0.5 mol% Mn-doped (Bi0.5Na0.5)(Ti0.995Mn0.005)O3 thin film exhibited a well-saturated ferroelectric P-E hysteresis loop at room temperature. A remnant polarization (Pr) of 16 μC/cm2 was obtained for the BNTMn-0.0050 film at an applied electric field of 400 kV/cm. In addition, a 1.12-μm-thick BNTMn-0.0050 film was applied as a cantilever. The Pt/BNTMn-0.0050/Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si unimorph cantilever exhibited a high transverse piezoelectric coefficient (e311) of 2.43 C/m2.  相似文献
