利用场发射显微镜(FEM)和四极质谱计分别研究了经过热处理的单壁碳纳米管的场发射图像和热处理过程中样品脱附的残气质谱.当热处理温度达到1000℃左右时得到了单壁碳纳米管的场发射像,此像可能是顶端开口的单根(16,0)锯齿形单壁碳纳米管的具有原子可分辨的场发射图像.四极质谱分析结果表明,在此温度范围W针尖晶粒间隙中有O原子和C原子释放出来.它们对单壁碳纳米管顶端的修饰是我们能观察到这些碳纳米管场发射像的可能原因. 关键词: 单壁碳纳米管(SWCNTs) 场发射显微镜(FEM) 四极质谱  相似文献

用分子动力学方法研究了端口接枝不同数量羟基对扶手椅型和锯齿型单壁碳纳米管弹性模量的影响.结果表明,未接枝的扶手椅型(5, 5),(10,10)管和锯齿型(9, 0),(18, 0)管杨氏模量分别为948,901和804,860GPa.在接枝2—8个羟基情况下,锯齿型单壁碳纳米管拉伸杨氏模量基本不随接枝数量增加发生变化,而扶手椅单壁碳纳米管则不同,接枝状态下的弹性模量比未接枝状态小很多,但接枝一定数量后,其杨氏模量又略增到某一稳定值.分别从接枝后碳纳米管变形电子密度等值线结构、C—C键长和系统结合能变化规律等方面,对单壁碳纳米管弹性模量的接枝效应进行了分析. 关键词: 碳纳米管 羟基 接枝效应 杨氏模量  相似文献

利用场发射显微镜和四极质谱计研究了充入高纯O2的四极质谱和O2对单壁碳纳米管场发射的影响.单壁碳纳米管经过约1000℃的热处理得到清洁态场发射像后,充入O2,分别测量了O2吸附和脱附后场发射的I V特性.实验观测到在单壁碳纳米管上O2的吸附使场发射电流减小,说明逸出功增加.在10-4Pa的O2压强下对单壁碳纳米管进行约1000℃的热处理,可以产生氧化刻蚀作用,观测到场发射像的变化,并测量了氧化刻蚀产生的I V特性变化. 关键词: 单壁碳纳米管 场发射显微镜 场发射 四极质谱  相似文献

研究了真空热处理对多壁碳纳米管(MWNTs)电化学储氢性能的影响.采用化学气相沉积法(CVD)制备碳纳米管,碳纳米管与LaNi5储氢合金按质量比1∶10混合,制作成CNTs-LaNi5电极.电解池采用三电极体系,6mol/L KOH为电解液,Ni(OH)2为正极,Hg/HgO为参比电极.实验结果表明,在相同的充放电条件下,850℃时CNTs-LaNi5电极的储氢性能最好,克容量最大为503.6mAh/g,相应的平台电压高达1.18V.从500—850℃随着温度升高,放电量有较大幅度的增加,但到950℃时放电量反而下降.由此可见,碳纳米管的热处理温度对碳纳米管的电化学储氢性能有着较大的影响. 关键词: 碳纳米管(CNTs) 储氢性能 5合金')" href="#">LaNi5合金 化学气相沉积法(CVD法)  相似文献

利用紧束缚势分子动力学模拟方法,研究了温度在2000—3500 K之间单壁碳纳米管端口结构的变化趋势.研究表明,温度对整个管端口结构起关键作用,计算表明温度在3000K和3500K下碳管两端口在15ps时间尺度内依次闭合,温度高易于使理想单壁碳管端口封闭,且端口封闭导致碳管系统能量的降低.由于Armchair型碳纳米管与相同半径的Zigzag型碳纳米管相比有相对低的应力能,导致Armchair型碳纳米管更易形成端口封闭的结构. 关键词: 碳纳米管 紧束缚势  相似文献

用分子动力学方法研究了N,O,Si,P,S等5种杂质对扶手椅型(5,5)和锯齿型(9,0)单壁碳纳米管杨氏模量的影响.结果表明:直径为0.678和0.704 nm的扶手椅型(5,5)和锯齿型(9,0)碳纳米管在无掺杂时其杨氏模量分别为948和804 GPa.在掺杂浓度10%以下,碳纳米管的拉伸杨氏模量均随掺杂浓度增加近似呈线性下降规律,下降率以Si掺杂最大,N掺杂最小.对与C同周期的元素掺杂,随原子序数增加碳纳米管的杨氏模量下降率增大;与C不同周期的元素掺杂,碳纳米管的杨氏模量随掺杂浓度增加下降率更大,但 关键词: 碳纳米管 杂质 杨氏模量 分子动力学方法  相似文献

采用基于BrennerⅡ势的非平衡态分子动力学方法,模拟研究了300K温度下经氢化学修饰的(10,0)单壁碳纳米管的热导率.研究显示功能化后碳管的热导率有明显减小,当有一列碳原子被氢化后(功能化程度为5%),碳管的热导率减小了大约1/3,为了进一步解释这种功能化对碳纳米管热导率的影响,计算了不同功能化程度下碳纳米管的声子谱.  相似文献

使用分子动力学方法研究几种不同半径尺寸的单壁碳纳米管组成的双壁碳管,预测了其初始稳定构型;分析了其自由弛豫阶段的特征;并模拟了它们在轴向压缩载荷作用下的屈曲行为;研究了不同层间距导致的范德华力变化对屈曲行为的影响.采用Tersoff-Brenner势描述单壁碳纳米管内原子间作用,Lennard-Jones势描述内外层间的范德华相互作用.计算结果表明:在通常意义下的双壁管间距(约0.34 nm)外还可以存在稳定的双壁碳管构型,并且这些新的稳定构型表现出了不同的力学性质. 关键词: 双壁碳纳米管 分子动力学 屈曲  相似文献

使用分子动力学方法模拟了单壁碳纳米管的拉伸变形行为和泊松比,并从单壁碳纳米管晶胞单元的结构特征角度,系统分析了管径、螺旋性和应变对力学性能的影响.模拟结果显示,单臂性碳纳米管(8,8)-(22,22)和锯齿性碳纳米管(9,0)-(29,0)的拉伸弹性变形可以分别达到35%-38%和20%-27%,拉伸条件下这些碳纳米管的弹性模量随管径的增大从960 GPa下降到750 GPa,并且锯齿性碳纳米管的弹性模量比单臂性碳纳米管的弹性模量要高.通过对三根具有相同直径和不同螺旋性的碳纳米管(9,9),(12,6)和(16,0)分别在拉伸和压缩条件下的模拟发现,随着变形的增大,碳纳米管的泊松比将减小;在相同的拉伸应变下,碳纳米管的泊松比随其螺旋角的减小而减小,而在相同的压缩应变下,碳纳米管的泊松比随其螺旋角的减小而增大.  相似文献

本文采用流化床反应器,利用MgO作为催化剂载体,以Mo和Fe为催化剂。让Ar气流携带含水的乙醇蒸汽进入反应器,通过化学气相沉积(CCVD)法合成了单壁碳纳米管(SWCNTs)。利用拉曼光谱和透射电镜(TEM)对所合成的单壁碳纳米管质量进行检测。实验结果表明无水乙醇中加入7%的水反应温度在950℃时,制备的单壁碳纳米管的质量最好而且管径分布非常均匀。  相似文献

Well-defined fibers and films of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) with high purity and narrow diameter distributions were obtained from the strand-like raw soot produced by a dc arc-discharge method. These architectures made up of SWNTs have very uniform smooth surfaces. When the strand-like product was placed on a silicon substrate, dipped into water, treated ultrasonically, and then dried in air, another interesting architecture, an SWNT ball, was obtained. This ball-like structure could also be found on the surface of purified SWNTs. We propose that the surface tension of water and the interaction between SWNTs and silica sphere played the key role in the ball (SWNTs outside and silica sphere inside) formation process.  相似文献

We report a comparative study on diameter distribution of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) grown using nanoporous templates having different pore sizes, namely, zeolite-L, ZSM-5, and MCM-41. The change in the tube diameter based on catalytic film thickness and growth temperature was systematically investigated. We prepared very thin Fe catalyst films with nominal thicknesses of 0.5, 0.7, 1, and 2 Å, and the growth temperature was varied from 850 to 925 °C. We found that the SWNT mean diameter and size distribution width decreased with decreasing catalyst film thickness, growth temperature, and pore sizes of the templates. In addition, all SWNTs grown from the nanoporous templates have narrower diameter distribution compared to the SWNTs grown from SiO2 planar surface. The obtained results are straightforward and suggest that the template growth has potential for SWNT growth with very narrow diameter distribution.  相似文献

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) have been grown on silicon nanowires (SiNWs) by ethanol chemical vapor deposition (CVD) with Co catalysts. We have found that a surface SiOx layer of SiNWs is necessary for the formation of active Co catalysts. In fact, the yield of the SWNT/SiNW heterojunctions gradually decreases as the thickness of the surface SiOx layer decreases. Since thin SiNWs are transparent to an electron beam, the Co nanoparticles on SiNWs can be easily observed as well as SWNTs by TEM. Therefore, the relationship between the diameters of each SWNT and its catalyst nanoparticle has been investigated. The diameters of SWNTs are equal to or slightly smaller than those of the catalyst nanoparticles.  相似文献

The high-yield synthesis of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) is carried out in an electric-arc discharge using the Ni-Cr alloy as a catalyst. A new method of introducing the catalyst into the plasma hot region is used in the synthesis. In this method, the anode with a sandwich structure consists of two longitudinal graphite rods of a rectangular cross section, between which the Ni-Cr alloy in the form of a foil having a thickness approximately equal to 0.2 mm is placed. The obtained samples are investigated using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy, and thermogravimetry. According to the results of TEM observations, SWNTs are tied into bundles with a length of several micrometers and a diameter of about 10 nm. The Raman spectra indicate that the diameter distribution of SWNTs lies between 1.2 and 1.5 nm with a peak at approximately 1.24 nm. The SWNT content in the obtained samples is approximately 20%. Heat treatment at various temperatures with a dosed air supply leads to a noticeable mass loss of the sample and to a change in its composition. For example, thus heating to 600 K causes a mass loss of about 40%, leading to an increase in the content of SWNTs up to 35% without their noticeable destruction. Further heating above 600 K leads to a virtually complete thermal decomposition of SWNTs.  相似文献

Individual and isolated single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are important for fabricating relevant nanode- vices and studying the properties of the SWNT devices. In this work, we demonstrate that individual and isolated SWNT can be selected and obtained from a film containing a huge number of SWNTs. By using both the polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA) as a negative resist and the electron beam lithography, the selected SWNT can be fixed on a substrate, while the other SWNTs in the film can lift off. The selected SWNT can be used to fabricate nanodevice and a gas sensor of oxygen is demonstrated in this work.  相似文献

In this work, the influence factors, namely chirality, temperature, radius and surface chemical modification, of the interaction energy for polyethylene (PE) molecule encapsulated into single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) had been investigated by molecular mechanics (MM) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The results showed that all these factors would influence the interaction energy between PE and SWNTs. The interaction energy between PE molecule and the armchair SWNTs is largest among eight kinds of chiral SWNTs. The interaction energy decreases with the increase of temperature or the SWNT radius. The methyl, phenyl, hydroxyl, carboxyl, -F, and amino groups, have been introduced onto the surface of the SWNTs by the simulation software and the influence of SWNT chemical modification has also been investigated. The interaction energy between PE and chemically modified SWNTs is larger than that between PE and pristine SWNTs, and increases with increasing the concentration of the modified groups monotonously. In addition, the group electronegativity and van der Waals force will affect the interaction energy between PE and chemically modified SWNTs greatly, which can be attributed to the electronic structures of the chemically modified groups. This study can provide some useful suggestions for the composite material design and drug transport.  相似文献

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) were synthesized by pyrolyzing methane (CH4) at a temperature of 900℃ on SiO2 substrates pre-coated with iron nano-particles. Electrical contacts were fabricated onto one of the SWNTs by using an electron beam lithography process. Coulomb blockade and single-electron tunnelling characters were found at low temperatures, indicating that the SWNT in-between the electrodes forms a quantum dot. It is found that the Coulomb gap of the quantum dot is about 8.57 meV, and the factor \alpha , which converts the gate voltage to the true electrostatic potential shift, is around 200 for this device.  相似文献

The motion and equilibrium distribution of water molecules adsorbed inside neutral and negatively charged singlewalled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) have been studied using molecular dynamics simulations (MDSs) at room temperature based on CHARMM (Chemistry at HARvard Molecular Mechanics) potential parameters. We find that water molecules have a conspicuous electropism phenomenon and regular tubule patterns inside and outside the charged tube wall. The analyses of the motion behaviour of water molecules in the radial and axial directions show that by charging the SWNT, the adsorption efficiency is greatly enhanced, and the electric field produced by the charged SWNTs prevents water molecules from flowing out of the nanotube. However, water molecules can travel through the neutral SWNT in a fluctuating manner. This indicates that by electrically charging and uncharging the SWNTs, one can control the adsorption and transport behaviour of polar molecules in SWNTs for using as a stable storage medium or long transport channels. The transport velocity can be tailored by changing the charge on the SWNTs, which may have a further application as modulatable transport channels.  相似文献

The production of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) using the cw CO2-laser ablation technique is reported. Different metals and metal concentrations in the carbon targets as well as different buffer gases and gas pressures have been used in order to study their influence on the formation of SWNTs. It is shown that the conditions near the evaporation zone, i.e. especially the local temperature environment induced by the laser radiation as well as the used metals play a key role in the formation process of SWNTs. Employing a very simple experimental setup the cw CO2-laser ablation technique easily provides the environment favorable for the growth of high quality SWNT material under a wide range of experimental conditions.  相似文献

Poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride)/single-walled carbon nanotube (PDDA/SWNT) multilayered thin films were prepared on quartz crystal microbalance by layer-by-layer self-assembly technique, and their sensing properties to humidity were studied. The SWNTs were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The composite films were observed by field-emission scanning electron microscope. Two types of SWNT humidity sensors were fabricated using SWNTs and carboxyl (COOH) modified SWNTs as sensitive material, respectively. The results showed that the sensitivity of the PDDA/SWNT?CCOOH humidity sensor was 20.23?% higher than that of the PDDA/SWNT sensor. In contrast, the latter had a much superior hysteresis property, and the reason to cause this phenomenon was discussed.  相似文献
