研究了负折射率材料对产生Casimir排斥效应的影响. 两材料板间的Casimir排斥力的发生取决于两板以及其间媒质的电磁特性,通过理论与数值结果的分析研究给出电磁特性所影响排斥力的产生趋势. 对于由Drude-Lorentz型色散关系描述等效介电常数和磁导率的负折射率材料,调节各特征频率参数可实现Casimir排斥效应.

利用传输矩阵方法,模拟研究了FC(N)准晶链排列的多层介质膜中存在不同缺陷情形时,光在其中传播的透射规律.结果表明,当Fibonacci准晶中存在缺陷时,引入了缺陷模,而且其缺陷模具有与自身结构相关的特点.还进一步模拟研究了存在负折射率吸收缺陷媒质时的FC(N)准晶链的透射系数,出现了共振透射率大于1的情形.同时还研究了负折射率缺陷媒质的虚部对禁带中共振透射峰大小的影响,发现并不是所有引入负折射率吸收缺陷媒质的准晶都会出现共振透射率大于1的现象. 相似文献

负折射率介质层中光波的相位和传输特性研究 总被引:13,自引:0,他引:13
针对在理解负折射率材料中光波的传播特性时相位的特殊性质 ,详细分析推证了负折射率介质中折射率、波矢k的大小和方向、空间坐标系以及波相相位互之间的关系。分析结果表明负折射率介质层中的波矢k的反常取向是由于其标量值为负 ;在统一的坐标系下 ,由该标量值参与数值计算和分析 ,k则由标量值和单位矢量k0 (k0 >0 )共同决定 ,而不必再考虑左、右手系的区别。在此基础上依据电磁场理论推导了光波在负折射率介质层中的传输矩阵 ,用以分析含有负折射率介质层的复杂薄膜系统的光学性质。初步计算结果显示含有负折射率介质层的膜系对TE和TM波的光谱特性都有显著改变 相似文献

基于负介电常数和负磁导率产生原理,采用金属细线和裂环谐振器结构,针对12.5 GHz频率开展双负媒质结构设计。通过特殊边界条件下S参数计算以及Nicolson-Ross-Weir方法,完成等效参数的提取,获得介电常数、磁导率、折射率实部均为负值,且折射率接近于0的左手材料特性。将双负媒质结构加载于Ku波段圆锥喇叭口面进行仿真优化,提高天线增益2.17 dB,在11~13 GHz频带范围内,加载天线的增益均有所改善。实验结果表明,口面加载双负媒质结构后,天线增益提高1.51 dB,后向辐射减小5.7 dB,辐射特性获得了明显改善。 相似文献

Refraction of an electromagnetic wave from a point source to a medium with a negative refractive index is considered. An electric Hertz dipole that is located in air and directed parallel to a plane interface is considered as the point source. It is rigorously shown that the electromagnetic radiation propagated from the dipole into the medium with the negative refractive index is focused within a certain region in this medium. The sizes of the focusing region are determined. As a result, it is pointed out that the diffraction limit cannot be overcome by using homogeneous materials with negative refractive indices. 相似文献

Focusing of an electromagnetic wave radiated by a point source and transmitted through a plane layer filled with a medium with negative refractive index is considered. An elementary electric Hertzian dipole located in the air (or vacuum) parallel to the boundaries of the layer is considered as a point source of radiation. It is rigorously shown that, after transmitting through a layer with negative refractive index, the electromagnetic wave of the dipole is focused into a certain domain. The dimensions of the focusing region are investigated. The results of the investigation show that the use of homogeneous materials with negative refraction does not allow one to overcome the diffraction limit. 相似文献

An analytical theory is developed for parametric interactions in metamaterial multilayer structures with simultaneous nonlinear electronic and magnetic responses and with a near-zero refractive index. We demonstrate theoretically that electromagnetic fields of certain frequencies can be parametrically shielded by a nonlinear left-handed material slab, where the permittivity and permeability are both negative. The skin depth is tunable, and even in the absence of material absorption, can be much less than the wavelength of the electromagnetic field being shielded. This exotic behavior is a consequence of the intricate nonlinear response in the left-handed materials and vanishing optical refractive index at the pump frequency. 相似文献

We show that complex conjugate materials, in which the ratio of the complex electrical permittivity and the complex conjugate magnetic permeability is real, are characterized by a real refractive index and thus allow non-attenuated propagation of electromagnetic waves. Although complex conjugated media obey the same Snell law as common right-handed non-magnetic materials with the same refractive index, they differ from the latter through the reflection and transmission coefficients of electromagnetic waves. The complex conjugate materials could have important applications in miniaturized optical amplifiers and lasers. 相似文献
