Self-assembling and dynamical properties of deoxyguanosine 5-monophosphate in isotropic aqueous solutions were studied by 31P NMR spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering (DLS). All solutions had the same c = 4 wt% guanosine concentration, while the added KCl molarity ranged from 0 to 1.5 M. 31P NMR measurements show that potassium ions strongly enhance the stacking process of guanosine tetramers until a saturation is reached at 0.1 M KCl with more than 70% of the molecules aggregated. Polarized light scattering reveals the presence of a fast relaxation mode that arises from the translational dynamics of the self-assembled stacks. The diffusion coefficient of this mode shows a strong dependence on molarity of added salt, which can be described in terms of the coupled mode and counterion condensation theories for polyelectrolyte solutions. 1H and 19F spin-lattice relaxation times in polycrystalline diammonium hexafluorozirconate have been measured in the temperature range of 10–400 K to elucidate the molecular motion of both cation and anion. Interesting features such as translational diffusion at higher temperatures, molecular reorientational motion of both cation and anion groups at intermediate temperatures and quantum rotational tunneling of the ammonium group at lower temperatures have been observed. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) relaxation time results correlate well with the NMR second moment and conductivity studies reported earlier.  相似文献

In this study, Ip = 1+\ensuremath I^{\pi} = 1^{+} and Ip = 1-\ensuremath I^{\pi} = 1^{-} dipole mode excitations are systematically investigated within the rotational and translational + Galilean invariant quasiparticle random-phase approximation for 232Th , 236U , and 238U actinide nuclei. It is shown that the investigated nuclei reach a B(M1) strength structure, which corresponds to the scissors mode. The calculated mean excitation energies as well as the summed B(M1) value of the scissors mode excitations are consistent with the available experimental data. The results of calculations indicate large differences to the rare-earth nuclei as is the case for the experiment: a doubling of the observed dipole strengths and a shift of the energy centroid to the lower energies by about 800keV. The calculations indicate the presence of a few prominent negative-parity Kp = 1-\ensuremath K^{\pi} = 1^{-} states in the 2.0-4.0MeV energy interval. The occurrence of the negative-parity dipole states with the rather high B(E1) value less than 4MeV shows the necessity of explicit parity measurements for the correct determination of the scissors mode strength in 232Th , 236U , and 238U isotopes.  相似文献

Charge distribution studies for heavy-mass fission products were carried out in the fast-neutron-induced fission of 232Th, 238U, 240Pu and 244Cm using radiochemical and gamma-ray spectrometric techniques. The width parameter( σZA), the most probable charge/mass ( Z P/A P), the charge polarization (ΔZ) and the slope of charge polarization [ δ(ΔZ)/δA ] as a function of the fragment mass (A ) were deduced. The average charge dispersion parameter ( 〈σZ〉) and proton odd-even effect ( δp) were also obtained for these fissioning systems. The 〈σZ〉 and δp values in the fissioning systems 241Pu * and 245Cm * were determined for the first time. The δ(ΔZ)/δA value is also determined for the first time in the fissioning systems 239U * , 241Pu * and 245Cm * . These data along with the literature data for even-Z fissioning systems such as 230Th * , 232Th * , 233U * , 234U * , 236U * , 238U * , 239Pu * , 240Pu*, 242Pu * , 246Cm * , 250Cf * and 252Cf(SF) are discussed in terms of nuclear structure effect and dynamics of descent from the saddle to the scission point. The role of the excitation energy in low-energy fission is also discussed. Eight high-spin states in 36Ar below 10MeV excitation energy, among them a prospective J π = 8- state at 9408keV and the J? 8 levels of the recently discovered superdeformed rotational band, have been observed by n-γ coincidence measurements with the 33S(α, nγ) reaction at E α = 14.4 and 13.4MeV. High-spin assignments of, respectively, J π = 6+ and 5- were obtained for the E p = 1209 and 1462keV (E x = 9682 and 9927keV) resonances of the 35Cl (p,γ) reaction by a measurement of γ-ray angular distributions. The spectrum of the high-spin and of the E x? 7.4MeV levels is decomposed according to the underlying shell model configurations with n = 0, 1, 2, 4 particles excited from the N = 2 into the N = 3 major shell. The role of four-particle excitations, all connected with large prolate distortions, is elucidated for the entire A = 36-40 mass region. Received: 21 December 2001 / Accepted: 25 March 2002  相似文献

While the intercalation of C60 and the formation of C 60 - in the supercages of NaX and NaY are confirmed by using 129Xe NMR and ESR, the photophysical properties of C60 and C 60 - are characterized by monitoring transient reflectance spectra and kinetics, fluorescence kinetics, and diffuse reflectance spectra. C 60 - is considerably more abundant in NaY than in NaX. This difference is explained in terms of polarity difference between two zeolites. Both C60 and C 60 - have remarkably elongated excited-state lifetimes due to their collision-free environment in zeolitic nanocavities although C 60 - has much shorter lifetimes than C60. In this study the QRPA approach with the rotational and translational invariant Hamiltonians has been carried out to describe magnetic and electric dipole excitations in 176Hf . Calculations show that the 176Hf nucleus demonstrates a very rich B(M1) strength structure and in some aspects nicely confirm the experimental data. It has been shown that the main part of spin-1 states, observed at 2-4MeV in 176Hf , may be attributed to have a M1 character and may be interpreted as the main fragments of the scissors mode. The agreement between the calculated mean excitation energies as well as the summed B(M1) values of the scissors mode excitations and the available experimental data is quite good. The constructive interference between the orbit and the spin part of M1 strength has been found to be below 3.5MeV. The calculations indicate the presence of a few prominent negative-parity states in the 2-4MeV energy interval. This suggests that the supposition of the experiment “all stronger K = 1 low-lying dipole excitations were of magnetic character” cannot be generalized.  相似文献

Kinetic-energy spectra and angular distribution of projectile-like fragments have been measured in the reaction of 84 MeV 12C on 169Tm, using the surface barrier silicon-based ΔE-E telescopes. The fragments close to the projectile show typical spectra of quasi-elastic transfer reactions, which were found to be in agreement with the calculations based on the direct surface transfer reaction model. A significant cross-section of fast alpha-particles was found at forward angles, reminiscent of incomplete fusion reactions, which could be explained in terms of the direct surface transfer reaction model after taking into account the level density of continuum states in the heavy reaction product. The results have been explained in terms of the continuous evolution of the reaction mechanism as a function of the mass transfer. Received: 13 March 2002 / Accepted: 3 May 2002  相似文献

The configuration-dependent cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky approach has been employed to study the properties and band structures at high spin in the Z = N odd-odd nuclei 46V and 50Mn. The observed bands are explained and terminating states are confirmed by the calculations. The calculated and observed bands are in good agreement without normalization, especially for terminating states. Possible bands with rotation around the intermediate axis and the effect of γ-deformation on the total energy of several interesting configurations are discussed. Excited states in 187Re populated by inelastic scattering of a 500 MeV 82Se beam have been studied by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Levels built on the 5/2+[402] and 9/2-[514] one-quasiparticle states were measured up to I π = (21/2+) and (21/2-), respectively. In addition, several new levels including an isomer at 1682 keV with a half-life of 114(23) ns have been found. Quasiparticle configurations of the levels and the transition rates are discussed. Radiative lifetimes of 7d, 8d 1 D 2 excited states of Hg I are measured using pulsed two-photon excitation from the ground [Xe]5d 106s 2 1 S 0 mercury state, detecting the decay of the laser-induced fluorescence. The results are compared with theoretical values, obtained by means of a Hartree-Fock single configuration method, taking into account electron configuration interaction. The radiative lifetime value dependence on the effective principal quantum number for the nd 1 D 2 series is analyzed and compared with the quantum defect dependence. The influence of the mutual interaction between the two outgoing nucleons (NN-FSI) in the 16O(e, e'pp) reaction has been investigated. Results for various kinematics are discussed. In general, the effect of NN-FSI depends on kinematics and the chosen final state in the excitation spectrum of 14C. We demonstrate coherent coupling of the quadrupole S1/2D5/2 optical transition of a single trapped 40Ca+ ion to the standing wave field of a high-finesse cavity. The dependence of the coupling on temporal dynamics and spatial variations of the intracavity field is investigated in detail. By precisely controlling the position of the ion in the cavity standing wave field and by selectively exciting vibrational state-changing transitions the ion’s quantized vibration in the trap is deterministically coupled to the cavity mode. We confirm coherent interaction of ion and cavity field by exciting Rabi oscillations with short resonant laser pulses injected into the cavity, which is frequency-stabilized to the atomic transition. The fusion evaporation reaction 122Sn(14N, 4n)132La was used to populate the high-spin states of 132La at the beam energy of 60 MeV. A new band consisting of mostly E2 transitions has been discovered. This band has the interesting links to the ground state 2- and the isomeric state 6-. A new transition of energy 351 keV connecting the low-spin states of the positive-parity band based on the πh 11/2 ⊗ νh 11/2 particle configuration, has been found. This has played a very important role in resolving the existing ambiguities and inconsistencies in the spin assignment of the band head. 29Si, 27Al, 1H and 23Na solid-state magic-angle spinning (MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) has been used to relate nominal composition, bonding character and compressive strength properties in aluminosilicate inorganic polymers (AIPs). The 29Si chemical shift varies systematically with Si-to-Al ratio, indicating that the immediate structural environment of Si is altering with nominal composition. Fast 1H MAS and 29Si T SiH/T relaxation measurements demonstrated that occluded pore H2O mobility within the disordered cavities is slow in comparison with H2O mobility characteristics observed within the ordered channel structures of zeolites. The 27Al MAS NMR data show that the Al coordination remains predominantly 4-coordinate. In comparison with the 29Si MAS data, the corresponding 27Al MAS line shapes are relatively narrow, suggesting that the AlO4 tetrahedral geometry is largely unperturbed and the dominant source of structural disorder is propagated by large distributions of Si–O bond angles and bond lengths. Corresponding 23Na MAS and multiple-quantum MAS NMR data indicate that Na speciation is dominated by distributions of hydration states; however, more highly resolved 23Na resonances observed in some preparations supported the existence of short-range order. New structural elements are proposed to account for the existence of these Na resonances and an improved model for the structure of AIPs has also been proposed. Authors' address: John V. We extract the neutron charge form factor G n E(Q 2) from the charge form factor of deuteron G d C(Q 2) obtained from T 20(Q 2) data at 0≤Q 2≤ 1.717 (GeV/c)2. The extraction is based on the relativistic impulse approximation in the instant form of the relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics. Our results (12 new points) are compatible with existing values of the neutron charge form factor of other authors. We propose a fit for the whole set (36 points) taking into account the data for the slope of the form factor at Q 2 = 0. Information on the sequential decay chain has been extracted through a comparison of the experimental data with the predictions of the statistical model. The energy flux of phonons produced due to the nonradiative laser-induced transitions of Ho3+ impurity ions in forsterite from the 5F5 states has been measured using a superconductor bolometer at a temperature of 2 K. The dependence of the flux on the laser wavelength, the time elapsed after the action of a laser pulse, and the phonon propagation path length is analyzed. It is found that the excitation of Ho3+ to some states leads to the diffusive propagation of emitted phonons in the spontaneous frequency decay mode (quasidiffusive mode of propagation): the time of arrival of a phonon pulse is almost a linear function of the path length, but it is several times longer than the longest ballistic time of flight (for transverse phonons). The diffusion coefficient and the nonradiative relaxation time are determined from the best fit to the experiment.  相似文献

High-spin states in the 97Tc nucleus have been studied by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy with the reaction 82Se(19F,4nγ) at 68 MeV incident energy. Excited states have been observed up to about 8 MeV excitation and spin 43/2. The observed level scheme is compared with results of shell model calculations.
