We prove a q-analogue of the row and column removal theorems for homomorphisms between Specht modules proved by Fayers and the first author [16]. These results can be considered as complements to James and Donkin’s row and column removal theorems for decomposition numbers of the symmetric and general linear groups. In this paper we consider homomorphisms between the Specht modules of the Hecke algebras of type A and between the Weyl modules of the q-Schur algebra. This research was supported by ARC grant DP0343023. The investigation of a q -analogue of the convolution on the line, started in conjunction with Koornwinder, is continued, with special attention to the approximation of functions by means of the convolution. A new space of functions that forms an increasing chain of algebras (with respect to the q -convolution), depending on a parameter s>0 , is constructed. For a special value of the parameter the corresponding algebra is commutative and unital, and is shown to be the quotient of an algebra studied in a previous paper modulo the kernel of a q -analogue of the Fourier transform. This result has an analytic interpretation in terms of analytic functions, whose q -moments have a (fast) decreasing behavior and allows the extension of Koornwinder's inversion formula for the q -Fourier transform. A few results on the invertibility of functions with respect to the q -convolution are also obtained and they are applied to the solution of certain simple linear q -difference equations with polynomial coefficients.  相似文献

We introduce the spin Hecke algebra, which is a q-deformation of the spin symmetric group algebra, and its affine generalization. We establish an algebra isomorphism which relates our spin (affine) Hecke algebras to the (affine) Hecke-Clifford algebras of Olshanski and Jones-Nazarov. Relation between the spin (affine) Hecke algebra and a nonstandard presentation of the usual (affine) Hecke algebra is displayed, and the notion of covering (affine) Hecke algebra is introduced to provide a link between these algebras. Various algebraic structures for the spin (affine) Hecke algebra are established.  相似文献

We describe the Schur–Weyl duality for a polynomial representation of the quantum group and the Hecke algebra of type A from a viewpoint of a q-analog of the strong Lefschetz property. A q-deformation of the Specht polynomial appears as a constituent of bases for irreducible components.  相似文献

The bispectral quantum Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov (BqKZ) equation corresponding to the affine Hecke algebra H of type A N-1 is a consistent system of q-difference equations which in some sense contains two families of Cherednik’s quantum affine Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov equations for meromorphic functions with values in principal series representations of H. In this paper, we extend this construction of BqKZ to the case where H is the affine Hecke algebra associated with an arbitrary irreducible reduced root system. We construct explicit solutions of BqKZ and describe its correspondence to a bispectral problem involving Macdonald’s q-difference operators.  相似文献

We explicitly calculate a projective bimodule resolution for a special biserial algebra giving rise to the Hecke algebra Hq(S4){{\mathcal H}_q(S_4)} when q = −1. We then determine the dimensions of the Hochschild cohomology groups.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to define new generating functions. By applying the Mellin transformation formula to these generating functions, we define q-analogue of Riemann zeta function, q-analogue Hurwitz zeta function, q-analogue Dirichlet L-function and two-variable q-L-function. In particular, by using these generating functions, we will construct new generating functions which produce q-Dedekind type sums and q-Dedekind type sums attached to Dirichlet character. We also give the relations between these sums and Dedekind sums. Furthermore, by using *-product which is given in this paper, we will give the relation between Dedekind sums and q-L function as well.  相似文献

We study the algebra \({{\mathrm{{\mathcal {MD}}}}}\) of generating functions for multiple divisor sums and its connections to multiple zeta values. The generating functions for multiple divisor sums are formal power series in q with coefficients in \({\mathbb {Q}}\) arising from the calculation of the Fourier expansion of multiple Eisenstein series. We show that the algebra \({{\mathrm{{\mathcal {MD}}}}}\) is a filtered algebra equipped with a derivation and use this derivation to prove linear relations in \({{\mathrm{{\mathcal {MD}}}}}\). The (quasi-)modular forms for the full modular group \({{\mathrm{SL}}}_2({\mathbb {Z}})\) constitute a subalgebra of \({{\mathrm{{\mathcal {MD}}}}}\), and this also yields linear relations in \({{\mathrm{{\mathcal {MD}}}}}\). Generating functions of multiple divisor sums can be seen as a q-analogue of multiple zeta values. Studying a certain map from this algebra into the real numbers we will derive a new explanation for relations between multiple zeta values, including those of length 2, coming from modular forms.  相似文献

We obtain a class of quadratic relations for a q-analogue of multiple zeta values (qMZV’s). In the limit q→1, it turns into Kawashima’s relation for multiple zeta values. As a corollary we find that qMZV’s satisfy the linear relation contained in Kawashima’s relation. In the proof we make use of a q-analogue of Newton series and Bradley’s duality formula for finite multiple harmonic q-series.  相似文献

A construction of bases for cell modules of the Birman–Murakami–Wenzl (or B–M–W) algebra B n (q,r) by lifting bases for cell modules of B n−1(q,r) is given. By iterating this procedure, we produce cellular bases for B–M–W algebras on which a large Abelian subalgebra, generated by elements which generalise the Jucys–Murphy elements from the representation theory of the Iwahori–Hecke algebra of the symmetric group, acts triangularly. The triangular action of this Abelian subalgebra is used to provide explicit criteria, in terms of the defining parameters q and r, for B–M–W algebras to be semisimple. The aforementioned constructions provide generalisations, to the algebras under consideration here, of certain results from the Specht module theory of the Iwahori–Hecke algebra of the symmetric group. The aim of this paper is to define new generating functions. By applying a derivative operator and the Mellin transformation to these generating functions, we define q-analogue of the Genocchi zeta function, q-analogue Hurwitz type Genocchi zeta function, and q-Genocchi type l-function. We define partial zeta function. By using this function, we construct p-adic interpolation functions which interpolate generalized q-Genocchi numbers at negative integers. We also define p-adic meromorphic functions on Cp. Furthermore, we construct new generating functions of q-Hardy-Berndt type sums and q-Hardy-Berndt type sums attached to Dirichlet character. We also give some new relations, related to these sums.  相似文献

This note first describes the basic properties of the skew derivations on the polynomial ringk[X]. As a consequence of these properties it is proved that theq-analogue of the enveloping algebra of sl(2),U q(sl(2)), has a unique action on C[X], where “action” means that C[X] is a module algebra in the Hopf algebra sense. This depends on the fact that the generators of a subalgebra ofU q(sl(2)) described by Woronowicz must act via an automorphism, and the skew derivations associated to it. We introduce a q-analogue of Wigner’s 9-j symbols following the notational scheme used by Wilson in identifying the 6-j symbols with Racah polynomials, which eventually led Askey and Wilson to obtain a q-analogue of them, namely, the q-Racah polynomials. Most importantly, we prove the orthogonality of our analogues in complete generality, as well as derive an explicit polynomial expression for these new functions.  相似文献

A trigonometric polynomial generalization to the positivity of an alternating sum of binomial coefficients is given. The proof uses lattice paths, and identifies the trigonometric sum as a polynomial with positive integer coefficients. Some special cases of the q -analogue conjectured by Bressoud are established, and new conjectures are given. January 22, 1997. Date revised: July 9, 1997.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a straightforward pictorial representation of the double affine Hecke algebra (DAHA) which enables us to translate the abstract algebraic structure of a DAHA into an intuitive graphical calculus suitable for a physics audience. Initially, we define the larger double affine Q-dependent braid group. This group is constructed by appending to the braid group a set of operators Q i , before extending it to an affine Q-dependent braid group. We show specifically that the elliptic braid group and the DAHA can be obtained as quotient groups. Complementing this, we present a pictorial representation of the double affine Q-dependent braid group based on ribbons living in a toroid. We show that in this pictorial representation, we can fully describe any DAHA. Specifically, we graphically describe the parameter q upon which this algebra is dependent and show that in this particular representation q corresponds to a twist in the ribbon.  相似文献
