In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new subclass of the function class Σ of bi-univalent functions of the Mocanu-convex type defined in the open unit disk, satisfy Ma and Minda subordination conditions. Furthermore, we find estimates on the Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients |a2| and |a3| for functions in the new subclass introduced here. Further Application of Hohlov operator to this class is obtained. Several(known or new) consequences of the results are also pointed out.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a general nonlinear integral operator H_(αi),β_i(f_1,..., f_n;g_1,..., g_n)(z). Some results including coefficient problems, univalency condition and radius of convexity for this integral operator are given. Furthermore, we discuss the mapping properties between H_(αi),β_i(f_1,..., f_n; g_1,..., g_n)(z) and subclasses of analytic functions with bounded boundary rotation. The same subjects for some corresponding classes are shown upon specializing the parameters in our main results.  相似文献

Prolate spheroidal wave functions, because of their many remarkable properties leading to new applications, have recently experienced an upsurge of interest. They may be defined as eigenfunctions of either a differential operator or an integral operator (as observed by Slepian in the 1960s). There are various ways of calculating their values based on both approaches. The standard one uses an approximation based on Legendre polynomials, which, however, is valid only on a finite interval. An alternative, valid in a neighborhood of infinity, uses a Bessel function approximation. In this letter we present a new method based on an eigenvalue problem for a matrix operator equivalent to that of the integral operator. Its solution gives the values of these functions on the entire real line and is computationally more efficient.  相似文献

Basis problems for self-adjoint matrix valued functions are studied. We suggest a new and nonstandard method to solve basis problems both in finite and infinite dimensional spaces. Although many results in this paper are given for operator functions in infinite dimensional Hilbert spaces, but to demonstrate practicability of this method and to present a full solution of basis problems, in this paper we often restrict ourselves to matrix valued functions which generate Rayleigh systems on the n-dimensional complex space Cn. The suggested method is an improvement of an approach given recently in our paper [M. Hasanov, A class of nonlinear equations in Hilbert space and its applications to completeness problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 328 (2007) 1487-1494], which is based on the extension of the resolvent of a self-adjoint operator function to isolated eigenvalues and the properties of quadratic forms of the extended resolvent. This approach is especially useful for nonanalytic and nonsmooth operator functions when a suitable factorization formula fails to exist.  相似文献

In this paper, firstly we define the generalization of the generalized Al-Oboudi differential operator. Then we also define new classes of analytic and p-valently starlike and convex functions with complex order by means of this new general differential operator. Our main purpose is to determine coefficient bounds for functions in certain subclasses of this classes, which are introduced here by means of a family of nonhomogeneous Cauchy-Euler differential equations. Any maximal monotone operator can be characterized by a convex function. The family of such convex functions is invariant under a transformation connected with the Fenchel-Legendre conjugation. We prove that there exists a convex representation of the operator which is a fixed point of this conjugation.

This work establishes new connections between maximal monotone operators and convex functions. Associated to each maximal monotone operator, there is a family of convex functions, each of which characterizes the operator. The basic tool in our analysis is a family of enlargements, recently introduced by Svaiter. This family of convex functions is in a one-to-one relation with a subfamily of these enlargements. We study the family of convex functions, and determine its extremal elements. An operator closely related to the Legendre–Fenchel conjugacy is introduced and we prove that this family of convex functions is invariant under this operator. The particular case in which the operator is a subdifferential of a convex function is discussed.  相似文献

Some majorization re-sults for n,g ∑ a,λ(A, B, 1) as well as the other functions are given. Furthermore, we find the coefficients bounds on|a2|and|a3|for functions in?n,g ∑ a,λ(A1, B1, A2, B2,α1,α2), which is the bi-univalent functions defined by n,g ∑ a,λ(A, B,α) and subordination. We consider continuous-time hysteresis operators, defined to be causal and rate independent operators mapping input signals to output signals . We show how a hysteresis operator defined on the set of continuous piecewise monotone functions can be naturally extended to piecewise continuous piecewise monotone functions. We prove that the extension is also a hysteresis operator and that a number of important properties of the original operator are inherited by the extension. Moreover, we define the concept of a discrete-time hysteresis operator and we show that discretizing continuous-time hysteresis operators using standard sampling and hold operations leads to discrete-time hysteresis operators. We apply the concepts and results described above in the context of sampled-data feedback control of linear systems with input hysteresis.  相似文献

Nonlinear equations arising in the spectral theory of self-adjoint operator functions and related completeness problems for eigenvectors are studied. A separation theorem about the values of the Rayleigh functional on solutions of a nonlinear equation is proved. This theorem is used, as a new approach to establish completeness of eigenvectors for some classes of self-adjoint operator functions. Examples from matrix pencils are given.  相似文献

In the present work we show that the local generalized monotonicity of a lower semicontinuous set-valued operator on some certain type of dense sets ensures the global generalized monotonicity of that operator. We achieve this goal gradually by showing at first that the lower semicontinuous set-valued functions of one real variable, which are locally generalized monotone on a dense subsets of their domain are globally generalized monotone. Then, these results are extended to the case of set-valued operators on arbitrary Banach spaces. We close this work with a section on the global generalized convexity of a real valued function, which is obtained out of its local counterpart on some dense sets.  相似文献
