A map φ on a Lie algebra g is called to be commuting if [φ(x), x] = 0 for all x ∈ g. Let L be a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field F of characteristic 0, P a parabolic subalgebra of L. In this paper, we prove that a linear mapφon P is commuting if and only if φ is a scalar multiplication map on P.  相似文献

Let R and F be arbitrary associative rings. A mapping φ of R onto F is called a multiplicative isomorphism if φ is bijective and satisfies φ(xy) = φ(x)φ(y) for all x, y ∈ R. In this short note, we establish a condition on R, in the case where R may not contain any non-zero idempotents, that assures that φ is additive, which generalizes the famous Martindale's result. As an application, we show that under a mild assumption every multiplicative isomorphism from the radical of a nest algebra onto an arbitrary ring is additive.  相似文献

Let P be a parabolic subalgebra of a general linear Lie algebra gl(n, F) over a field F, where n ≥ 3, F contains at least n different elements, and char(F) = 2. In this article, we prove that generalized derivations, quasiderivations, and product zero derivations of P coincide, and any generalized derivation of P is a sum of an inner derivation, a central quasiderivation, and a scalar multiplication map of P. We also show that any commuting automorphism of P is a central automorphism, and any commuting derivation of P is a central derivation.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring with identity, Nn(R) the matrix algebra consisting of all n × n strictly upper triangular matrices over R with the usual product operation. An R-linear map φ : Nn(R) → Nn(R) is said to be an SZ-derivation of Nn(R) if x2 = 0 implies that φ(x)x+xφ(x) = 0. It is said to be an S-derivation of Nn(R) if φ(x2) = φ(x)x+xφ(x) for any x ∈ Nn(R). It is said to be a PZ-derivation of Nn(R) if xy = 0 implies that φ(x)y+xφ(y) = 0. In this paper, by constructing several types of standard SZ-derivations of Nn(R), we first characterize all SZ-derivations of Nn(R). Then, as its application, we determine all S-derivations and PZ- derivations of Nn(R), respectively.  相似文献

Let D be any division ring with an involution,Hn (D) be the space of all n × n hermitian matrices over D. Two hermitian matrices A and B are said to be adjacent if rank(A - B) = 1. It is proved that if φ is a bijective map from Hn(D)(n ≥ 2) to itself such that φ preserves the adjacency, then φ^-1 also preserves the adjacency. Moreover, if Hn(D) ≠J3(F2), then φ preserves the arithmetic distance. Thus, an open problem posed by Wan Zhe-Xian is answered for geometry of symmetric and hermitian matrices.  相似文献

Let B(X) be the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Banach space X. Let k ≥ 2 be an integer and φ a weakly continuous linear surjective map from B(X) into itself. It is shown that φ is k-potent preserving if and only if it is k-th-power preserving, and in turn, if and only if it is either an automorphism or an antiautomorphism on B(X) multiplied by a complex number λ satisfying λk-1= 1. Let A be a von Neumann algebra and B be a Banach algebra, it is also shown that a bounded surjective linear map from A onto B is k-potent preserving if and only if it is a Jordan homomorphism multiplied by an invertible element with (k - l)-th power I.  相似文献

Let F be a field with char F = 2, l a maximal nilpotent subalgebra of the symplectic algebra sp(2m,F). In this paper, we characterize linear maps of l which preserve zero Lie brackets in both directions. It is shown that for m ≥ 4, a map φ of l preserves zero Lie brackets in both directions if and only if φ = ψcσT0λαφdηf, where ψc,σT0,λα,φd,ηf are the standard maps preserving zero Lie brackets in both directions.  相似文献

Let Bs(H) be the real linear space of all self-adjoint operators on a complex Hilbert space H with dim H ≥ 2.It is proved that a linear surjective map on Bs (H) preserves the nonzero projections of Jordan products of two operators if and only if there is a unitary or an anti-unitary operator U on H such that (X)=λU XU,X∈Bs(H) for some constant λ with λ∈{1,1}.  相似文献

We investigate the best approximation of some classes of functions defined on a $d$-dimensional torus ${\mbox{\smallbf T}}^d$ by the transfer manifold $H_n(\varphi)=\{\xxsum_{i=1}^n b_i\varphi(\cdot -a_i)\}$ in the Hilbert space $L_2({\mbox{\smallbf T}}^d)$. For Sobolev classes of functions $\tilde{W}_2^r$ we obtain two-sided estimates of the deviation ${\rm dist}(\tilde{W}_2^r,H_n(\varphi))$. These results are applied to obtain estimates for radial basis approximation.  相似文献
