Let E/F be a Galois extension of number fields with the quaternion Galois group Q 8. In this paper, we prove some relations connecting orders of the odd part of the kernel of the transfer map of the tame kernel of E with the same orders of some of its subfields. Let E/? be a Galois extension of number fields with the Galois group Q 8 and p an odd prime such that p ≡ 3 (mod 4). We prove that if there is at most one quadratic subfield such that the p-Sylow subgroup of the tame kernel is nontrivial, then p r -rank(K 2(E/K)) is even, i.e., 2|p r -rank(K 2(𝒪 E )) ? p r -rank(K 2(𝒪 K )), where K is the quartic subfield of E.  相似文献

It is well known that there is a close connection between tame kernels and ideal class groups of number fields. However, the latter is a very difficult subject in number theory. In this paper, we prove some results connecting the p^n-rank of the tame kernel of a cyclic cubic field F with the p^n-rank of the coinvariants of μp^n×CI(δE,T) under the action of the Galois group, where E = F(ζp^n ) and T is the finite set of primes of E consisting of the infinite primes and the finite primes dividing p. In particular, if F is a cyclic cubic field with only one ramified prime and p = 3, n = 2, we apply the results of the tame kernels to prove some results of the ideal class groups of E, the maximal real subfield of E and F(ζ3).  相似文献

Let L be a number field containing the pth primitive root of unity ζ p . We investigate the p-rank of the ideal class groups of some subfields of L by using reflection theorems and establish relations between the p-rank of the ideal class groups and that of groups of units of some subfields of L.

Let F be a number field and 𝒪 F the ring of integers in F. We also study the p-rank of tame kernels of F and establish relations between the p-rank of K 2𝒪 F and that of some direct summands of the ideal class group of F p ).  相似文献

We construct Weil numbers corresponding to genus-2 curves with p-rank 1 over the finite field Fp2 of p2 elements. The corresponding curves can be constructed using explicit CM constructions. In one of our algorithms, the group of Fp2-valued points of the Jacobian has prime order, while another allows for a prescribed embedding degree with respect to a subgroup of prescribed order. The curves are defined over Fp2 out of necessity: we show that curves of p-rank 1 over Fp for large p cannot be efficiently constructed using explicit CM constructions.  相似文献

Let E1, E2, be Hilbert spaces, H(E1,E2) be the space of functions, bounded and analytic in the disk D, with values in the space of bounded linear operators from E1 to E2. Estimates are investigated for a solution of the problem of S.-Nagy of finding a left inverse element for a function F, FεH(E1,E2). For dim E1=1 this problem is a generalization of the corona problem. Let Cn(δ)= sup¦∶FεH(E1,E2),dim E1=n, ¦F¦?1, ¦F(z)a¦2?δ¦a¦2(zεD,aεE1);Gε H(E2,E1) is a function of minimal norm for which . Let E/F be a Galois extension of number fields with Galois group G=Gal(E/F), and let p be a prime not dividing #G. In this paper, using character theory of finite groups, we obtain the upper bound of #K2OE if the group K2OE is cyclic, and prove some results on the divisibility of the p-rank of the tame kernel K2OE, where E/F is not necessarily abelian. In particular, in the case of G=Cn, Dn, A4, we easily get some results on the divisibility of the p-rank of the tame kernel K2OE by the character table. Let E/Q be a normal extension with Galois group Dl, where l is an odd prime, and F/Q a non-normal subextension with degree l. As an application, we show that f|p-rank K2OF, where f is the smallest positive integer such that pf≡±1(mod l).  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the influence on the structure of a finite group of some subgroups lying in the hypercenter. More precisely, we prove the following: Let \(\mathfrak{F}\) be a Baer-local formation. Given a group G and a normal subgroup E of G, let \(Z_\mathfrak{F} (G)\) contain a p-subgroup A of E which is maximal being abelian and of exponent dividing p k , where k is some natural number, k ≠ 1 if p = 2 and the Sylow 2-subgroups of E are non-abelian. Then E/O p (E) ≤ \(Z_\mathfrak{F} \) (G/O p (E)) (Theorem 1). Some well-known results turn out to be consequences of this theorem.  相似文献

Let \(F = Q\left( {\sqrt p } \right)\), where p = 8t+1 is a prime. In this paper, we prove that a special case of Qin’s conjecture on the possible structure of the 2-primary part of K 2 O F up to 8-rank is a consequence of a conjecture of Cohen and Lagarias on the existence of governing fields. We also characterize the 16-rank of K 2 O F , which is either 0 or 1, in terms of a certain equation between 2-adic Hilbert symbols being satisfied or not.  相似文献

Suppose that E 1 and E 2 are elliptic curves defined over ℚ and p is an odd prime where E 1 and E 2 have good ordinary reduction. In this paper, we generalize a theorem of Greenberg and Vatsal [3] and prove that if E 1[p i ] and E 2[p i ] are isomorphic as Galois modules for i = μ(E 1), then μ(E 1) ≤ μ(E 2). If the isomorphism holds for i = μ(E 1) + 1, then both the curves have same μ-invariants. We also discuss one numerical example.  相似文献

In this paper we study the isometric extension problem and show that every surjective isometry between the unit spheres of Lp (μ) (1 p ∞, p≠2) and a Banach space E can be extended to a linear isometry from Lp(μ) onto E, which means that if the unit sphere of E is (metrically) isometric to the unit sphere of Lp(μ), then E is linearly isometric to Lp(μ). We also prove that every surjective 1-Lipschitz or anti-1-Lipschitz map between the unit spheres of Lp (μ1, H1) and Lp(μ2,H2) must be an isometry and can be extended to a linear isometry from Lp (μ1,H1) to Lp (μ2,H2), where H1 and H2 are Hilbert spaces.  相似文献

A generalized Mayer-Vietoris sequence involving crossed homomorphisms is established and the construction is applied to the homotopy sequence of the CW-pair (X.X1) to relate the homotopy sequences of (X.X1) and the fibre bundle F → E → X in low dimensions. If there is a partial cross-section of E → X over X2, the classical form, π1 E ~ π1 [xtilde] π1 F as a semidirect product, results. In case there is no extension over X2 of any cross-section of the restricted bundle χ:π2 (x2, x1) → X1 the corresponding obstruction map XE2(x2,x1) → π1F is non-trivial and in case F → E → X is an SO(n)-bundle (n ≥ 3), χE maps into a subgroup of the centre, Z(π1 F), of order at most 2.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to use the properties of the Gauss sums, primitive characters and the mean value of Dirichlet L-functions to study the hybrid mean value of the error term E(n, l, c, q) and the hyper-Kloosterman sums K(h,n+1,q), the asymptotic property of the mean square value ∑^p c=1 E^2(n, 1, c, p), and give two interesting mean value formulae.  相似文献

H. P. Young showed that there is a one-to-one correspondence between affine triple systems (or Hall triple systems) and exp. 3-Moufang loops (ML). Recently, L. Beneteau showed that (i) for any non-associative exp. 3-ML (E, · ) with E = 3n, 3 Z(E) 3n−3, where n 4 and Z(E) is an associative center of (E, ·), and (ii) there exists exactly one exp. 3-ML, denoted by (En, ·), such that En = 3n and Z(En) = 3n−3 for any integer n 4. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the geometric structure of the affine triple system derived from the exp. 3-ML(En, ·) in detail and to compare with the structure of an affine geometry AG(n, 3). We shall obtain (a) a necessary and sufficient condition for three lines L1, L2 and L3 in (En, ·) that the transitivity of the parallelism holds for given three lines L1, L2 and L3 in (En, ·) such that L1L2 and L2L3 and (b) a necessary and sufficient condition for m + 1 points in En (1 m < n) so that the subsystem generated by those m + 1 points consists of 3m points. Using the structure of hyperplanes in (En, ·), the p-rank of the incidence matrix of the affine triple system derived from the exp. 3-ML(En, ·) is given.  相似文献

In this article we investigate the p-rank of function fields in several good towers. To do this we first recall and establish some properties of the behaviour of the p-rank under extensions. Then we compute the p-ranks of function fields in several optimal towers over a quadratic field $ \mathbb{F}_{q^2 } $ \mathbb{F}_{q^2 } , as well as for a specific good tower over a cubic field $ \mathbb{F}_{q^3 } $ \mathbb{F}_{q^3 } , which was introduced by Bassa, Garcia and Stichtenoth.  相似文献

We study relations between Schatten classes and product operator ideals, where one of the factors is the Banach ideal ΠE,2 of (E, 2)‐summing operators, and where E is a Banach sequence space with ?2 ? E. We show that for a large class of 2‐convex symmetric Banach sequence spaces the product ideal ΠE,2 ○ ??aq,s is an extension of the Schatten class ??F with a suitable Lorentz space F. Let A be an R G-module over a commutative ring R, where G is a group of infinite section p-rank (0-rank), C G (A) = 1, A is not a Noetherian R-module, and the quotient A/C A (H) is a Noetherian R-module for every proper subgroup H of infinite section p-rank (0-rank). Let F be a number field with odd class number, and let E be a quadratic extension of F. Our main aim is to prove that the 4-rank of the class group C(E) of E is equal to m − 1 − rank R E/F , where m is the number of primes of F ramifying in E, R E/F is the generalized Rédei-matrix of local Hilbert symbols with coefficients in and the rank is the rank over . We determine the generalized Rédei-matrices R E/F explicitly for biquadratic number fields E. Let R be a discrete complete valuation ring, with field of fractions K, and with algebraically closed residue field k of characteristic p > 0. Let X be a germ of an R-curve at an ordinary double point. Consider a finite Galois covering f: Y → X, whose Galois group G is a p-group, such that Y is normal, and which is étale above Xk≔ x × rk. Asume that Y has a semi-stable model :→ Y over R, and let y be a closed point of Y. If the inertia subgroup I(y) at y is cyclic of order pn, we compute the p-rank of tf−1 (y) by using a result of Raynaud. In particular, we prove that this p-rank is bounded by pn −1.  相似文献

It is shown that a Banach space E has type p if and only for some (all) d ≥ 1 the Besov space B(1/p – 1/2)d p,p (?d ; E) embeds into the space γ (L2(?d ), E) of γ ‐radonifying operators L2(?d ) → E. A similar result characterizing cotype q is obtained. These results may be viewed as E ‐valued extensions of the classical Sobolev embedding theorems. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
