Extended affine Lie algebras are higher nullity generalizations of finite dimensional simple Lie algebras and affine Kac Moody Lie algebras. In this paper we completely describe the structure of the core modulo its centre and the root system for extended affine Lie algebras of type Bl (l 3 3) B_l (l\ge 3) , Cl (l 3 2) C_l (l \ge 2), F 4 and G 2 .  相似文献

We give a necessary modification of Proposition 1.18 in Nagy and Strambach (Loops in Group Theory and Lie Theory. de Gruyter Expositions in Mathematics Berlin, New York, 2002) and close the gap in the classification of differentiable Bol loops given in Figula (Manuscrp Math 121:367–385, 2006). Moreover, using the factorization of Lie groups we determine the simple differentiable proper Bol loops L having the direct product G 1 × G 2 of two groups with simple Lie algebras as the group topologically generated by their left translations such that the stabilizer of the identity element of L is the direct product H 1 × H 2 with H i < G i . Also if G 1 = G 2 = G is a simple permutation group containing a sharply transitive subgroup A, then an analogous construction yields a simple proper Bol loop. If A is cyclic and G is finite and primitive, then all such loops are classified.  相似文献

The baby Tits–Kantor–Koecher (TKK) algebra constructed from the smallest (nonlattice) semilattice is related to the “smallest” extended affine Lie algebras other than the finite dimensional simple Lie algebras and the affine Kac–Moody algebras. In this article, we classify the finite dimensional irreducible representations for the baby TKK algebra. It turns out that such representations can be lifted from modules of direct sums of finitely many copies of the simple Lie algebra sp 4(?).  相似文献

In this note we reverse theusual process of constructing the Lie algebras of types G 2and F 4 as algebras of derivations of the splitoctonions or the exceptional Jordan algebra and instead beginwith their Dynkin diagrams and then construct the algebras togetherwith an action of the Lie algebras and associated Chevalley groups.This is shown to be a variation on a general construction ofall standard modules for simple Lie algebras and it is well suitedfor use in computational algebra systems. All the structure constantswhich occur are integral and hence the construction specialisesto all fields, without restriction on the characteristic, avoidingthe usual problems with characteristics 2 and 3.  相似文献

Xu introduced a family of root-tree-diagram nilpotent Lie algebras of differential operators, in connection with evolution partial differential equations. We generalized his notion to more general oriented tree diagrams. These algebras are natural analogues of the maximal nilpotent Lie subalgebras of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras. In this article, we use Hodge Laplacian to study the cohomology of these Lie algebras. The “total rank conjecture” and “b 2-conjecture” for the algebras are proved. Moreover, we find the generating functions of the Betti numbers by means of Young tableaux for the Lie algebras associated with certain tree diagrams of single branch point. By these functions and Euler–Poincaré principle, we obtain analogues of the denominator identity for finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras. The result is a natural generalization of the Bott's classical result in the case of special linear Lie algebras.  相似文献

Abstract

We define the composition of a Schwartz distribution on a compact Lie group with the left‐invariant Brownian motion p t , as a distribution on the Wiener–Lie space. In particular, the composition of p t with the Dirac distribution will give an expression for the density of the law of p t for t > 0. As an application, we get a simple condition for a functional F defined on the loop group in order to have exponential moments.  相似文献

We present an elementary derivation of the reproducing kernel for invariant Fock spaces associated with compact Lie groups which, as ólafsson and ?rsted showed in (Lie Theory and its Applicaitons in Physics. World Scientific, 1996), yields a simple proof of the unitarity of Hall’s Segal–Bargmann transform for compact Lie groups K. Further, we prove certain Hermite and character expansions for the heat and reproducing kernels on K and K\mathbb C{K_{\mathbb C}} . Finally, we introduce a Toeplitz (or Wick) calculus as an attempt to have a quantization of the functions on K\mathbb C{K_{\mathbb C}} as operators on the Hilbert space L 2(K).  相似文献

We introduce and study a special class of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras that are finite-dimensional modules over a ring of polynomials. The Lie algebras of this class are said to be polynomial. Some classification results are obtained. An associative co-algebra structure on the rings k[x 1,...,x n]/(f 1,...,f n) is introduced and, on its basis, an explicit expression for convolution matrices of invariants for isolated singularities of functions is found. The structure polynomials of moving frames defined by convolution matrices are constructed for simple singularities of the types A,B,C, D, and E 6.  相似文献

Let  be a simple classical Lie algebra over a field F of characteristic p > 7. We show that > d () = 2, where d() is the number of generators of . Let G be a profinite group. We say that G has lower rankl, if there are {G α} open subgroups which from a base for the topology at the identity and each G α is generated (topologically) by no more than l elements. There is a standard way to associate a Lie algebra L(G) to a finitely generated (filtered) pro-p group G. Suppose L(G) ?  ? tF p [t], where  is a simple Lie algebra over F p , the field of p elements. We show that the lower rank of G is ≤ d () + 1. In our main result, we show that [S ?, S ?] is a simple Lie algebra if and only if char(𝕂) divides n ? 1 and char(𝕂) does not divide d. This paper reviews some recent results on the parafermion vertex operator algebra associated to the integrable highest weight module L(k, 0) of positive integer level k for any affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra ĝ, where g is a finite dimensional simple Lie algebra. In particular, the generators and the C 2-cofiniteness of the parafermion vertex operator algebras are discussed. A proof of the well-known fact that the parafermion vertex operator algebra can be realized as the commutant of a lattice vertex operator algebra in L(k, 0) is also given.  相似文献

The conjugacy class of parabolic subgroups with Heisenberg unipotent radical in a simple Lie groups over ³ not of type CnC_{n} contains an element defined over  for each quaternionic real form. In this paper we study the Whittaker models for quaternionic discrete series of these real forms and prove results analogous and by analogous methods to the case of simple Lie groups over  that are the automorphism groups of tube type Hermitian symmetric domain and (so-called Bessel models) for holomorphic representations. In particular we calculate the decomposition of the space of Whittaker vectors under the action of the stabilizer of the corresponding character in a Levi factor of the Heisenberg parabolic subgroup.  相似文献

We study the Lie structure of graded associative algebras. Essentially, we analyze the relation between Lie and associative graded ideals, and between Lie and associative graded derivations. Gathering together results on both directions, we compute maximal graded algebras of quotients of graded Lie algebras that arise from associative algebras. We also show that the Lie algebra Der gr (A) of graded derivations of a graded semiprime associative algebra is strongly non-degenerate (modulo a certain ideal containing the center of Der gr (A)).  相似文献

Singular vectors of a representation of a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra are weight vectors in the underlying module that are nullified by positive root vectors. In this article, we use partial differential equations to explicitly find all the singular vectors of the polynomial representation of the simple Lie algebra of type F 4 over its 26-dimensional basic irreducible module, which also supplements a proof of the completeness of Brion’s abstractly described generators. Moreover, we show that the number of irreducible submodules contained in the space of homogeneous harmonic polynomials with degree k ⩾ 2 is greater than or equal to 〚k/3〛 + 〚(k − 2)/3〛 + 2.  相似文献

We construct a Lie algebra G by using a semi-direct sum of Lie algebra G1 with Lie algebra G2. A direct application to the TD hierarchy leads to a novel hierarchy of integrable couplings of the TD hierarchy. Furthermore, the generalized variational identity is applied to Lie algebra G to obtain quasi-Hamiltonian structures of the associated integrable couplings.  相似文献
