The conventional Hahn-Banach extension theorem based on vector space has been widely used to obtain many important and interesting results in nonlinear analysis, vector optimization and mathematical economics. Although the interval space is not a real vector space, the Hahn-Banach extension theorems based on interval spaces and nonstandard normed interval spaces can still be derived in this paper, which also shows the possible applications by considering the interval-valued problems in nonlinear analysis, vector optimization and mathematical economics.  相似文献

We establish, in infinite dimensional Banach space, a nonconvex separation property for general closed sets that is an extension of Hahn-Banach separation theorem. We provide some consequences in optimization, in particular the existence of singular multipliers and show the relation of our property with the extremal principle of Mordukhovich. In this paper, a notion of boundedness of a linear operator from a fuzzy normed linear space to another fuzzy normed linear space is introduced and two types (strong and weak) of fuzzy bounded linear operators are defined. Relation between fuzzy continuity and fuzzy boundedness is studied. Definitions of fuzzy bounded linear functionals are given and the notions of fuzzy dual spaces are developed. The Hahn-Banach theorem, the Open mapping theorem, the Closed graph theorem and the Uniform boundedness principle theorem are established.  相似文献

The solution concepts of the fuzzy optimization problems using ordering cone (convex cone) are proposed in this paper. We introduce an equivalence relation to partition the set of all fuzzy numbers into the equivalence classes. We then prove that this set of equivalence classes turns into a real vector space under the settings of vector addition and scalar multiplication. The notions of ordering cone and partial ordering on a vector space are essentially equivalent. Therefore, the optimality notions in the set of equivalence classes (in fact, a real vector space) can be naturally elicited by using the similar concept of Pareto optimal solution in vector optimization problems. Given an optimization problem with fuzzy coefficients, we introduce its corresponding (usual) optimization problem. Finally, we prove that the optimal solutions of its corresponding optimization problem are the Pareto optimal solutions of the original optimization problem with fuzzy coefficients.  相似文献

In the present paper, the Polyak’s principle, concerning convexity of the images of small balls through C1, 1 mappings, is employed in the study of vector optimization problems. This leads to extend to such a context achievements of local programming, an approach to nonlinear optimization, due to B.T. Polyak, which consists in exploiting the benefits of the convex local behaviour of certain nonconvex problems. In doing so, solution existence and optimality conditions are established for localizations of vector optimization problems, whose data satisfy proper assumptions. Such results are subsequently applied in the analysis of welfare economics, in the case of an exchange economy model with infinite-dimensional commodity space. In such a setting, the localization of an economy yields existence of Pareto optimal allocations, which, under certain additional assumptions, lead to competitive equilibria.  相似文献

The MacWilliams Extension Theorem states that each linear isometry of a linear code extends to a monomial map. Unlike the linear codes, in general, nonlinear codes do not have the extension property. In our previous work, in the context of a vector space alphabet, the minimum code length, for which there exists an unextendable code isometry, was determined. In this paper an analogue of the extension theorem for MDS codes is proved. It is shown that for almost all, except 2-dimensional, linear MDS codes over a vector space alphabet the extension property holds. For the case of 2-dimensional MDS codes an improvement of our general result is presented. There are also observed extension properties of near-MDS codes. As an auxiliary result, a new bound on the minimum size of multi-fold partitions of a vector space is obtained.  相似文献

We work in set theory ZF without axiom of choice. Though the Hahn-Banach theorem cannot be proved in ZF, we prove that every Gateaux-differentiable uniformly convex Banach space E satisfies the following continuous Hahn-Banach property: if p is a continuous sublinear functional on E, if F is a subspace of E, and if f: F → ? is a linear functional such that f ≤ p|F then there exists a linear functional g : E → ? such that g extends f and gp. We also prove that the continuous Hahn-Banach property on a topological vector space E is equivalent to the classical geometrical forms of the Hahn-Banach theorem on E. We then prove that the axiom of Dependent choices DC is equivalent to Ekeland's variational principle, and that it implies the continuous Hahn-Banach property on Gateaux-differentiable Banach spaces. Finally, we prove that, though separable normed spaces satisfy the continuous Hahn-Banach property, they do not satisfy the whole Hahn-Banach property in ZF+DC.  相似文献

Set-valued optimization problems are important and fascinating field of optimization theory and widely applied to image processing, viability theory, optimal control and mathematical economics. There are two types of criteria of solutions for the set-valued optimization problems: the vector criterion and the set criterion. In this paper, we adopt the set criterion to study the optimality conditions of constrained set-valued optimization problems. We first present some characterizations of various set order relations using the classical oriented distance function without involving the nonempty interior assumption on the ordered cones. Then using the characterizations of set order relations, necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for four types of optimal solutions of constrained set optimization problem with respect to the set order relations. Finally, the image space analysis is employed to study the c-optimal solution of constrained set optimization problems, and then optimality conditions and an alternative result for the constrained set optimization problem are established by the classical oriented distance function.  相似文献

Scalarization of the fuzzy optimization problems using the embedding theorem and the concept of convex cone (ordering cone) is proposed in this paper. Two solution concepts are proposed by considering two convex cones. The set of all fuzzy numbers can be embedded into a normed space. This motivation naturally inspires us to invoke the scalarization techniques in vector optimization problems to solve the fuzzy optimization problems. By applying scalarization to the optimization problem with fuzzy coefficients, we obtain its corresponding scalar optimization problem. Finally, we show that the optimal solution of its corresponding scalar optimization problem is the optimal solution of the original fuzzy optimization problem.  相似文献

A solution concept for fuzzy multiobjective programming problems based on ordering cones (convex cones) is proposed in this paper. The notions of ordering cones and partial orderings on a vector space are essentially equivalent. Therefore, the optimality notions in a real vector space can be elicited naturally by invoking a concept similar to that of the Pareto-optimal solution in vector optimization problems. We introduce a corresponding multiobjective programming problem and a weighting problem of the original fuzzy multiobjective programming problem using linear functionals so that the optimal solution of its corresponding weighting problem is also the Pareto-optimal solution of the original fuzzy multiobjective programming problem.  相似文献

Solving a large subset of multidimensional nonlinear optimization problems can be significantly improved by decoupling their intrinsically linear and nonlinear parts. This effectively decreases the dimensionality of the problem, reduces the search space and improves the efficiency of the optimization. This decoupled approach is generalized with mathematical formalism and its superiority over standard methods empirically verified and quantified on a couple of examples involving \(\chi ^2\) curve fitting to data.  相似文献

In this paper, we employ the image space analysis method to investigate a vector optimization problem with non-cone constraints. First, we use the linear and nonlinear separation techniques to establish Lagrange-type sufficient and necessary optimality conditions of the given problem under convexity assumptions and generalized Slater condition. Moreover, we give some characterizations of generalized Lagrange saddle points in image space without any convexity assumptions. Finally, we derive the vectorial penalization for the vector optimization problem with non-cone constraints by a general way.  相似文献

The author studies the problem whether a multiplier of a hereditary C^*-subalgebra B of a C^*-algebra A can be extended to a multiplier of A. One related problem is the Hahn-Banach extension theorem for Hilbert modules over C^*-algebras. Ideas are presented to show how fuzzy mathematics can be applied in macro-economics in combination with the systems approach in order to bridge the gap between mathematical and language-oriented economists.Two reasons are given.From a mathematical point of view, fuzzy sets, fuzzy relations and fuzzy logic are not fuzzy at all. They are all well defined, but tend to be more complicated than traditional, mathematical concepts used in economics.From a language-oriented economist's point of view, fuzzy sets, etc. are used to express mathematically the type of concepts which are typical in language and most valuable in dealing with complex systems like an economy.The paper deals with economics in general terms, but examples are provided to illustrate the ideas.  相似文献
