To estimate the ultimate bound and positively invariant set for a dynamic system is an important but quite challenging task in general. In this paper, we attempt to investigate the ultimate bound and positively invariant set for two specific systems, the Lorenz system and a unified chaotic system. We derive an ellipsoidal estimate of the ultimate bound and positively invariant set for the Lorenz system, for all the positive values of its parameters a, b and c, and obtain the minimum value of volume for the ellipsoid. Comparing with the best results in the current literature [D. Li, J. Lu, X. Wu, G. Chen, Estimating the bounds for the Lorenz family of chaotic systems, Chaos Solitons Fractals 23 (2005) 529-534; X. Liao, On the global basin of attraction and positively invariant set for the Lorenz chaotic system and its application in chaos control and synchronization, Sci. China Ser. E 34 (2004) 1404-1419], our new results fill up the gap of the estimate for the cases of 0<a<1 and 0<b<2 [X. Liao, On the global basin of attraction and positively invariant set for the Lorenz chaotic system and its application in chaos control and synchronization, Sci. China Ser. E 34 (2004) 1404-1419]. Furthermore, the estimation derived here contains the results given in [D. Li, J. Lu, X. Wu, G. Chen, Estimating the bounds for the Lorenz family of chaotic systems, Chaos Solitons Fractals 23 (2005) 529-534] and [X. Liao, On the global basin of attraction and positively invariant set for the Lorenz chaotic system and its application in chaos control and synchronization, Sci. China Ser. E 34 (2004) 1404-1419] as special cases. Along the same line, we also provide estimates of cylindrical and ellipsoidal bounds for a unified chaotic system, for its parameter range , and obtain the minimum value of volume for the ellipsoid. The estimate is more accurate than and also extends the result of [D. Li, J. Lu, X. Wu, G. Chen, Estimating the bounds for the Lorenz family of chaotic systems, Chaos Solitons Fractals 23 (2005) 529-534] and [X. Liao, On the global basin of attraction and positively invariant set for the Lorenz chaotic system and its application in chaos control and synchronization, Sci. China Ser. In this paper, we prove that there exists globally exponential attractive and positive invariant set for a general chaotic system, which does not belong to the known Lorenz system, or the Chen system, or the Lorenz family. We show that all the solution orbits of the chaotic system are ultimately bounded with exponential convergent rates and the convergent rates are explicitly estimated. The method given in this paper can be applied to study other chaotic systems.  相似文献

This short note is to briefly introduce the new notion of generalized Lorenz canonical form (GLCF), which contains the classical Lorenz system and the newly discovered Chen system as two extreme cases, along with infinitely many chaotic systems in between. The aim of this paper is to derive a solution of a certain class of convolution integral equation of Fredholm type whose kernel involves a generalized polynomial set. Our main result is believed to be general and unified in nature. A number of (known or new) results follow as special cases, simply by specializing the coefficients and parameters involved in the generalized polynomial set. This paper addresses the reachable set bounding for discrete-time switched nonlinear positive systems with mixed time-varying delays and disturbance, which contains switched linear positive systems as a special case. By resorting to a new method that does not involve the common Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional one, explicit criteria to ensure any state trajectory of the system converges exponentially into a prescribed sphere are obtained under average dwell time switching. The results can then be extended to more general time-varying systems. Finally, two numerical examples are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.  相似文献

Abstract

This paper contains a generalized Gordan-type alternative theorem for set-valued maps which characterizes set relations without any convexity assumptions using certain evaluation functions. As a direct consequence and as a good example, we discuss robustness (or stability) of linear programming problems for modelling error. Moreover, this theorem can be utilized for that of general vector optimization problems in special cases due to reformation of the evaluation functions.  相似文献

It is suggested that there exists many fuzzy set systems, each with its specific pointwise operations for union and intersection. A general law of compound possibilities is valid for all these systems, as well as a general law for representing marginal possibility distributions as unions of fuzzy sets. Max-min fuzzy sets are a special case of a fuzzy set system which uses the pointwise operations of max and min for union and intersection respectively. Probabilistic fuzzy sets are another special case which uses the operations of addition and multiplication. Probably there exists an infinite number of fuzzy set operations and systems. It is shown why the law of idempotency for intersection is not required for such systems. An essential difference between the meaning of the operations of union and intersection in traditional measure theory as compared with their meaning in the theory of possibility is pointed out. The operation of particularization is used to illustrate that the two distinct classical theories of nonfuzzy relations and of probability are merely two aspects of a more generalized theory of fuzzy sets. It is shown that we must distinguish between particularization of conditional fuzzy sets and of joint fuzzy sets. The concept of restriction of nonfuzzy relations is a special case of particularization of both conditional and joint fuzzy sets. The computation of joint probabilities from conditional and marginal ones is a special case of particularization of conditional probabilistic fuzzy sets. The difference between linguistic modifiers of type 1 and particulating modifiers is pointed out, as well as a general difference between nouns and adjectives.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study a new system of generalized mixed quasi-variational inclusions with (H,η)-monotone operators which contains variational inequalities, variational inclusions, systems of variational inequalities and systems of variational inclusions in the literature as special cases. By using the resolvent technique for the (H,η)-monotone operators, we prove the existence of solutions and the convergence of some new p-step iterative algorithms for this system of generalized mixed quasi-variational inclusions and its special cases. To estimate the ultimate bound and positively invariant set for a dynamic system is an important but quite challenging task in general. In this paper, we attempt to investigate the ultimate bound and positively invariant set for the hyperchaotic Lorenz–Haken system using a technique combining the generalized Lyapunov function theory and optimization. For the Lorenz–Haken system, we derive a four-dimensional ellipsoidal ultimate bound and positively invariant set. Furthermore, the two-dimensional parabolic ultimate bound with respect to xz is established. Finally, numerical results to estimate the ultimate bound are also presented for verification. The results obtained in this paper are important and useful in control, synchronization of hyperchaos and their applications.  相似文献

In a recent paper, we presented an intelligent evolutionary search technique through genetic programming (GP) for finding new analytical expressions of nonlinear dynamical systems, similar to the classical Lorenz attractor's which also exhibit chaotic behaviour in the phase space. In this paper, we extend our previous finding to explore yet another gallery of new chaotic attractors which are derived from the original Lorenz system of equations. Compared to the previous exploration with sinusoidal type transcendental nonlinearity, here we focus on only cross-product and higher-power type nonlinearities in the three state equations. We here report over 150 different structures of chaotic attractors along with their one set of parameter values, phase space dynamics and the Largest Lyapunov Exponents (LLE). The expressions of these new Lorenz-like nonlinear dynamical systems have been automatically evolved through multi-gene genetic programming (MGGP). In the past two decades, there have been many claims of designing new chaotic attractors as an incremental extension of the Lorenz family. We provide here a large family of chaotic systems whose structure closely resemble the original Lorenz system but with drastically different phase space dynamics. This advances the state of the art knowledge of discovering new chaotic systems which can find application in many real-world problems. This work may also find its archival value in future in the domain of new chaotic system discovery.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the system of generalized vector equilibrium problems which includes as special cases the system of generalized implicit vector variational inequality problems, the system of generalized vector variational and variational-like inequality problems and the system of vector equilibrium problems. By using a maximal element theorem, we establish existence results for a solution of these systems. As an application, we derive existence results for a solution of a more general Nash equilibrium problem for vector-valued functions.  相似文献

In this paper, a new 3D autonomous Lorenz-type chaotic system is modelled based on the condition that the system may generate chaos whereas it has only stable or non-hyperbolic equilibrium points. This system also includes some well-known Lorenz-like systems as its special cases, such as the diffusionless Lorenz system, the Burke-Shaw system and some other systems found. Although the new chaotic system is similar to other Lorenz-type systems in algebraic structure, they are topologically non-equivalent. This interesting fact motivates one to further investigate its dynamical behaviours, such as the number and the stability of equilibrium points, Hopf bifurcation and its direction, Poincaré maps, Lyapunov exponents and dissipativity, etc. Given numerical simulations not only verify the corresponding theoretically analytical results, but also demonstrate that this system possesses abundant and complex dynamical properties, which need further attention.  相似文献

In this paper, a general version of the KKM theorem is derived by using the concept of generalized KKM mappings introduced by Chang and Zhang. By employing our general KKM theorem, we obtain a general minimax inequality which contains several existing ones as special cases. As applications of our general minimax inequality, we derive an existence result for saddle-point problems under general setting. We also establish several existence results for generalized variation inequalities and generalized quasi-variational inequalities.  相似文献

Lorenz curves were invented to model situations of inequality in real life and applied in econometrics (distribution of wealth or poverty), biometrics (distribution of species richness), and informetrics (distribution of literature over their producers). Different types of Lorenz curves are hereby found in the literature, and in each case a theory of good concentration measures is presented. The present paper unifies these approaches by presenting one general model of concentration measure that applies to all these cases. Riemann-Stieltjes integrals are hereby needed where the integrand is a convex function and the integrator a function that generalizes the inverse of the derivative of the Lorenz function, in case this function is not everywhere differentiable.Calling this general measure C we prove that, if we have two Lorenz functions f, g such that f < g, then C(f) < C(g). This general proof contains the many partial results that are proved before in the literature in the respective special cases.  相似文献

In this paper, a new chaotic system is introduced. The system contains special cases as the modified Lorenz system and conjugate Chen system. Some subtle characteristics of stability and Hopf bifurcation of the new chaotic system are thoroughly investigated by rigorous mathematical analysis and symbolic computations. A new chaotic system is found by feedback controlling method in this paper. According to the definition of the generalized Lorenz system, the new chaotic system does not belong to generalized Lorenz systems. We analyze the new system by means of phase portraits, Lyapunov exponents, fractional dimension, bifurcation diagram, and Poincaré map. The particular interest is that this novel system can generate two one‐scroll and one two‐scroll chaotic attractors with the variation of a single parameter. The obtained results show clearly that the system is a new chaotic system and deserves a further detailed investigation. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider systems of vector quasi-variational inclusions which include systems of vector quasi-equilibrium problems for multivalued maps, systems of vector optimization problems and several other systems as special cases. We establish existence results for solutions of these systems. As applications of our results, we derive the existence results for solutions of system vector optimization problems, mathematical programs with systems of vector variational inclusion constraints and bilevel problems. Another application of our results provides the common fixed point theorem for a family of lower semicontinuous multivalued maps. Further applications of our results for existence of solutions of systems of vector quasi-variational inclusions are given to prove the existence of solutions of systems of Minty type and Stampacchia type generalized implicit quasi-variational inequalities. The results of this paper can be seen as extensions and generalizations of several known results in the literature.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the generalized Q-S synchronization between the generalized Lorenz canonical form and the Rössler system. Firstly, we transform an arbitrary generalized Lorenz system to the generalized Lorenz canonical form, and the relation between the parameter of the generalized Lorenz system and the parameter of the generalized Lorenz canonical form are shown. Secondly, we extend the scheme present by [Yan ZY. Chaos 2005;15:023902] to study the generalized Q-S synchronization between the generalized Lorenz canonical form and the Rössler system, the more general controller is obtained. By choosing different parameter in the generalized controller obtained here, without much extra effort, we can get the controller of synchronization between the Chen system and the Rössler system, the Lü system and the Rössler system, the classic Lorenz system and the Rössler system, the Hyperbolic Lorenz system and the Rössler system, respectively. Finally, numerical simulations are used to perform such synchronization and verify the effectiveness of the controller.  相似文献
