In this paper,we consider testing the hypothesis concerning the means of two independent semicontinuous distributions whose observations are zero-inflated,characterized by a sizable number of zeros and positive observations from a continuous distribution.The continuous parts of the two semicontinuous distributions are assumed to follow a density ratio model.A new two-part test is developed for this kind of data.The proposed test takes the sum of one test for equality of proportions of zero values and one conditional test for the continuous distribution.The test is proved to follow a χ~2 distribution with two degrees of freedom.Simulation studies show that the proposed test controls the type I error rates at the desired level,and is competitive to,and most of the time more powerful than two popular tests.A real data example from a dietary intervention study is used to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed test.  相似文献

In this article, robust generalized estimating equation for the analysis of partial linear mixed model for longitudinal data is used. The authors approximate the nonparametric function by a regression spline. Under some regular conditions, the asymptotic properties of the estimators are obtained. To avoid the computation of high-dimensional integral, a robust Monte Carlo Newton-Raphson algorithm is used. Some simulations are carried out to study the performance of the proposed robust estimators. In addition, the authors also study the robustness and the efficiency of the proposed estimators by simulation. Finally, two real longitudinal data sets are analyzed.  相似文献

Length-biased data are encountered in many fields,including economics,engineering and epidemiological cohort studies.There are two main challenges in the analysis of such data:the assumption of independent censoring is violated and the assumed model for the underlying population is no longer satisfied for the observed data.In this paper,a proportional mean residual life varyingcoefficient model for length-biased data is considered and a local pseudo likelihood method is proposed for estimating the coefficient functions in the model.Asymptotic properties are investigated for the proposed estimators.The finite sample performance of the proposed methodology is demonstrated by simulation studies.Finally,the method is applied to a real data set concerning the Academy Awards.  相似文献

It is proved that such a problem has at least two positive solutions under our reasonable conditions. In this article,a family of H~2-nonconforming finite elements on tetrahedral grids is constructed for solving the biharmonic equation in 3 D.In the family,the P_l polynomial space is enriched by some high order polynomials for all l≥ 3 and the corresponding finite element solution converges at the order l-1 in H~2 norm.Moreover,the result is improved for two low order cases by using P_6 and P_7 polynomials to enrich P_4 and P_5 polynomial spaces,respectively.The error estimate is proved.The numerical results are.provided to confirm the theoretical findings.  相似文献

For a graph G and two positive integers j and k, an m-L(j, k)-edge-labeling of G is an assignment on the edges to the set {0,..., m}, such that adjacent edges receive labels differing by at least j, and edges which are distance two apart receive labels differing by at least k. In this article, a Timoshenko beam with tip body and boundary damping is considered. A linearized three-level difference scheme of the Timoshenko beam equations on uniform meshes is derived by the method of reduction of order. The unique solvability, unconditional stability and convergence of the difference scheme are proved. The convergence order in maximum norm is of order two in both space and time. A numerical example is presented to demonstrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

Let D be a digraph.The competition graph of D is the graph having the same vertex set with D and having an edge joining two different vertices if and only if they have at least one common out-neighbor in D.The phylogeny graph of D is the competition graph of the digraph constructed from D by adding loops at all vertices.The competition/phylogeny number of a graph is the least number of vertices to be added to make the graph a competition/phylogeny graph of an acyclic digraph.In this paper,we show that for any integer k there is a connected graph such that its phylogeny number minus its competition number is greater than k.We get similar results for hypergraphs.  相似文献

An antiplane crack problem concerning a pair of coplanar cracks in a finite transversely isotropic elastic slab is considered. Using Fourier integral transform together with singular integral equation which can be solvel numerically by suing a collocation technique. Once the integral equation is solved, the relevant crack energy and stress intensity factors of the problem are given. The analysis present can be easily extended to include cases where there are two or more pairs of coplanar cracks in the slab.  相似文献

In this paper, a new weak condition for the convergence of secant method to solve the systems of nonlinear equations is proposed. A convergence ball with the center x0 is replaced by that with xl, the first approximation generated by the secant method with the initial data x-1 and x0. Under the bounded conditions of the divided difference, a convergence theorem is obtained and two examples to illustrate the weakness of convergence conditions are provided. Moreover, the secant method is applied to a system of nonlinear equations to demonstrate the viability and effectiveness of the results in the paper.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce a new method to represent matroids by complexes. Such a complex is called a matroid complex. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a complex to be a matroid complex are given and certain concepts in matroid theory are extended to complexes, so that one may solve certain problems concerning matroids by converting them into problems concerning complexes. We transform the singular integral equations with solutions simultaneously having singularities of higher order at infinite point and at several finite points on the real axis into ones along a closed contour with solutions having singularities of higher order, and for the former obtain the extended Neother theorem of complete equation as well as the solutions and the solvable conditions of characteristic equation from the latter. In this paper, two PVD-type algorithms are proposed for solving inseparable linear constraint optimization. Instead of computing the residual gradient function, the new algorithm uses the reduced gradients to construct the PVD directions in parallel computation, which can greatly reduce the computation amount each iteration and is closer to practical applications for solve large-scale nonlinear programming. Moreover, based on an active set computed by the coordinate rotation at each iteration, a feasible descent direction can be easily obtained by the extended reduced gradient method. The direction is then used as the PVD direction and a new PVD algorithm is proposed for the general linearly constrained optimization. And the global convergence is also proved.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors study ground states for a class of K-component coupled nonlinear Schr¨odinger equations with a sign-changing potential which is periodic or asymptotically periodic. The resulting problem engages three major difficulties: One is that the associated functional is strongly indefinite, the second is that, due to the asymptotically periodic assumption, the associated functional loses the ZN -translation invariance,many effective methods for periodic problems cannot be applied to asymptotically periodic ones. The third difficulty is singular potential μi/|x|2 , which does not belong to the Kato’s class. These enable them to develop a direct approach and new tricks to overcome the difficulties caused by singularity and the dropping of periodicity of potential.  相似文献
