In this paper we establish a result about uniformly equivalent norms and the convergence of best approximant pairs on the unitary ball for a family of weighted Luxemburg norms with normalized weight functions depending on ε, when ε→ 0. It is introduced a general concept of Pade approximant and we study its relation with the best local quasi-rational approximant. We characterize the limit of the error for polynomial approximation. We also obtain a new condition over a weight function in order to obtain inequalities in Lp norm, which play an important role in problems of weighted best local Lp approximation in several variables.  相似文献

In this paper we prove the behaviour in weighted Lp spaces of the oscillation and variation of the Hilbert transform and the Riesz transform associated with the Hermite operator of dimension 1. We prove that this operator maps LP(R, w(x)dx) into itself when w is a weight in the Ap class for 1 〈 p 〈 ∞. For p = 1 we get weak type for the A1 class. Weighted estimated are also obtained in the extreme case p = ∞.  相似文献

Abstract. In this paper it is proved that Lp solutions of a refinement equation exist if and only ifthe corresponding subdivision scheme with suitable initial function converges in Lp without anyassumption on the stability of the solutions of the refinement equation. A characterization forconvergence of subdivision scheme is also given in terms of the refinement mask. Thus a com-plete answer to the relation between the existence of Lp solutions of the refinement equation andthe convergence of the corresponding subdivision schemes is given.  相似文献

Let(Ω,E,P)be a probability space,F a sub-σ-algebra of E,Lp(E)(1 p+∞)the classical function space and Lp F(E)the L0(F)-module generated by Lp(E),which can be made into a random normed module in a natural way.Up to the present time,there are three kinds of conditional risk measures,whose model spaces are L∞(E),Lp(E)(1 p+∞)and Lp F(E)(1 p+∞)respectively,and a conditional convex dual representation theorem has been established for each kind.The purpose of this paper is to study the relations among the three kinds of conditional risk measures together with their representation theorems.We first establish the relation between Lp(E)and Lp F(E),namely Lp F(E)=Hcc(Lp(E)),which shows that Lp F(E)is exactly the countable concatenation hull of Lp(E).Based on the precise relation,we then prove that every L0(F)-convex Lp(E)-conditional risk measure(1 p+∞)can be uniquely extended to an L0(F)-convex Lp F(E)-conditional risk measure and that the dual representation theorem of the former can also be regarded as a special case of that of the latter,which shows that the study of Lp-conditional risk measures can be incorporated into that of Lp F(E)-conditional risk measures.In particular,in the process we find that combining the countable concatenation hull of a set and the local property of conditional risk measures is a very useful analytic skill that may considerably simplify and improve the study of L0-convex conditional risk measures.∞  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the blow-up properties of a quasilinear reaction-diffusion system with nonlocal nonlinear sources and weighted nonlocal Dirichlet boundary conditions. The critical exponent is determined under various situations of the weight functions. It is observed that the boundary weight functions play an important role in determining the blow-up conditions. In addition, the blow-up rate estimate of non-global solutions for a class of weight functions is also obtained, which is found to be independent of nonlinear diffusion parameters m and n.  相似文献

During the last decade, a great deal of activity has been devoted to the calculation of the HilbertPoincar′e series of unitary highest weight representations and related modules in algebraic geometry. However,uniform formulas remain elusive—even for more basic invariants such as the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension or the Bernstein degree, and are usually limited to families of representations in a dual pair setting. We use earlier work by Joseph to provide an elementary and intrinsic proof of a uniform formula for the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension of an arbitrary unitary highest weight module in terms of its highest weight. The formula generalizes a result of Enright and Willenbring(in the dual pair setting) and is inspired by Wang's formula for the dimension of a minimal nilpotent orbit.  相似文献

We construct an unconditional basis in the Banach space Lp(Ω, ρ) for p > 1 by using the refinement equation and the basic operation of translation and scale, where Ω is a compact subset in Rn. We also give an algorithm of how to construct an unconditional basis in Lp(Ω,ρ). At the end of this paper, we give the characterization of the functions in Lp (Ω,ρ) by using the wavelet coefficients.  相似文献

We propose a nonparametric change point estimator in the distributions of a sequence of independent observations in terms of the test statistics given by Huˇskov′a and Meintanis(2006) that are based on weighted empirical characteristic functions. The weight function ω(t; a) under consideration includes the two weight functions from Huˇskov′a and Meintanis(2006) plus the weight function used by Matteson and James(2014),where a is a tuning parameter. Under the local alternative hypothesis, we establish the consistency, convergence rate, and asymptotic distribution of this change point estimator which is the maxima of a two-side Brownian motion with a drift. Since the performance of the change point estimator depends on a in use, we thus propose an algorithm for choosing an appropriate value of a, denoted by a_s which is also justified. Our simulation study shows that the change point estimate obtained by using a_s has a satisfactory performance. We also apply our method to a real dataset.  相似文献

We study a generalization of the vertex cover problem. For a given graph with weights on the vertices and an integer k, we aim to find a subset of the vertices with minimum total weight, so that at least k edges in the graph are covered. The problem is called the k-partial vertex cover problem. There are some 2-approximation algorithms for the problem. In the paper we do not improve on the approximation ratios of the previous algorithms, but we derive an iterative rounding algorithm. We present our technique in two algorithms. The first is an iterative rounding algorithm and gives a (2 + Q/OPT )-approximation for the k-partial vertex cover problem where Q is the largest finite weight in the problem definition and OPT is the optimal value for the instance. The second algorithm uses the first as a subroutine and achieves an approximation ratio of 2.  相似文献

In [4], a new family W(L^p(x), Lm^q) of Wiener amalgam spaces was defined and investigated some properties of these spaces, where local component is a variable exponent Lebesgue space L^p(x) (R) and the global component is a weighted Lebesgue space Lm^q (R). This present paper is a sequel to our work [4]. In Section 2, we discuss necessary and sufficient conditions for the equality W (L^p(x), Lm^q) = L^q (R). Later we give some characterization of Wiener amalgam space W (L^p(x), Lm^q).In Section 3 we define the Wiener amalgam space W (FL^p(x), Lm^q) and investigate some properties of this space, where FL^p(x) is the image of L^p(x) under the Fourier transform.
