We consider quiver algebras A q over a field k defined by two cycles and a quantum-like relation depending on a nonzero element q in k. We determine the Hochschild cohomology ring of A q and give necessary and sufficient conditions for A q to have the finitely generated Hochschild cohomology ring.  相似文献

We study several families of semisimple Hopf algebras, arising as bismash products, which are constructed from finite groups with a certain specified factorization. First we associate a bismash product Hq of dimension q(q−1)(q+1) to each of the finite groups PGL2(q) and show that these Hq do not have the structure (as algebras) of group algebras (except when q=2,3). As a corollary, all Hopf algebras constructed from them by a comultiplication twist also have this property and are thus non-trivial. We also show that bismash products constructed from Frobenius groups do have the structure (as algebras) of group algebras.  相似文献

Summary We study the integration theory for general integral metrics when restricted to upper integrals q, finding improvements in the relation between the classes of the q-integrable and the ql-integrable functions. We give new results and notions which lead to the desirable characterizations of q-integrable functions as ql-integrable f with q(|f|) < ∞, and of ql-integrable functions via the integrability of their upper truncations, under natural conditions which are fulfilled in most finitely additive integration theories.  相似文献

We study the algebra R p,q generated by the Eulerian derivatives for two parameters p and q. Subject to certain conditions on the parameters, we show that R p,q is a finitely presented N-graded algebra of Gelfand–Kirillov dimension 3. We establish a criterion for the cyclic module R p,q /R p,q f to be Noetherian, where f is homogeneous of degree 1. For some choices of the parameters, this criterion always holds and we know of no situation where it fails. It is not known whether R p,q is Noetherian. We classify the point modules for R p,q and determine the normal elements and graded automorphisms for R p,q .  相似文献

We study the composition factors of a finite nonsolvable group having the same set of order elements as the simple unitary group U 3(q) for an odd q. We prove in particular that for q>5 the (only) nonabelian composition factor of such a group is isomorphic to U 3(q).  相似文献

For a natural number n and a prime power q the general, special, projective general and projective special linear groups are denoted by GLn(q), SLn(q), PGLn(q) and PSLn(q), respectively. Using conjugacy classes of elements in GLn(q) in terms of irreducible polynomials over the finite field GF(q) we demonstrate how the set of order elements in GLn(q) can be obtained. This will help to find the order of elements in the groups SLn(q), PGLn(q) and PSLn(q). We also show an upper bound for the order of elements in SLn(q).  相似文献

In this paper, we shall define the renormalization of the multiple q-zeta values (MqZV) which are special values of multiple q-zeta functions ζq (s1,..., Sd) when the arguments are all positive integers or all non-positive integers. This generalizes the work of Guo and Zhang (Renormalization of Multiple Zeta Values, arxiv: math/0606076v3). We show that our renormalization process produces the same values if the MqZVs are well-defined originally and that these renormalizations of MqZV satisfy the q-stuffle relations if we use shifted-renormalizations for all divergent ζq(S1,..., sd) (i.e., s1 ≤ 1). Moreover, when q ↑ 1 our renormalizations agree with those of Guo and Zhang.  相似文献

The purpose of this article is to study compactness of the complex Green operator on CR manifolds of hypersurface type. We introduce (CR-P q ), a potential theoretic condition on (0, q)-forms that generalizes Catlin’s property (P q ) to CR manifolds of arbitrary codimension. We prove that if an embedded CR-manifold of hypersurface type of real dimension at least five satisfies (CR-P q ) and (CR-P n-1-q ), then the complex Green operator is a compact operator on the Sobolev spaces Hs0,q(M){H^s_{0,q}(M)} and Hs0,n-1-q(M){H^s_{0,n-1-q}(M)} , if 1 ≤  q ≤  n−2 and s ≥  0. We use CR-plurisubharmonic functions to build a microlocal norm that controls the totally real direction of the tangent bundle.  相似文献

A set of vectors is k-independent if all its subsets with no more than k elements are linearly independent. We obtain a result concerning the maximal possible cardinality Ind q (n, k) of a k-independent set of vectors in the n-dimensional vector space F q n over the finite field F q of order q. Namely, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for Ind q (n, k) = n + 1. We conclude with some pertinent remarks re applications of our results to codes, graphs and hypercubes.  相似文献

In this article, we investigate the relationship between the minimum number of proper subgroups of GL(n, q) whose union is the whole GL(n, q) and the maximum number of elements that pairwise generate GL(n, q). We show that the minimum number of proper subrings of M n (q) whose union is the whole M n (q) is exactly the maximum number of elements that pairwise generate M n (q).  相似文献

In this paper, first, we determine the quotient groups of the Hecke groups H q ), where q ≥ 7 is prime, by their principal congruence subgroups H p q ) oflevel p, where p is also prime. We deal with the case of q = 7 separately, because of its close relation with the Hurwitz groups. Then, using the obtained results, we find the principal congruence subgroups of the extended Hecke groups $ \overline H $ \overline H (λ q ) for q ≥ 5 prime. Finally, we show that some of the quotient groups of the Hecke group H q ) and the extended Hecke group $ \overline H $ \overline H (λ q ), q ≥ 5 prime, by their principal congruence subgroups H p q ) are M*-groups.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe some basic properties of W q (A), extending known results on the classical numerical range. We also study the properties of rq considered as a norm (seminorm if q=0) on Mn .Finally, we characterize those linear operators L on Mn that leave Wq ,rq of [rtilde]q invariant. Extension of some of our results to the infinite dimensional case is discussed, and open problems are mentioned.  相似文献

Given 1≤ p,q < ∞, let BLpLq be the class of all Banach lattices X such that X is isometrically lattice isomorphic to a band in some Lp(Lq)-Banach lattice. We show that the range of a positive contractive projection on any BLpLq-Banach lattice is itself in BLpLq. It is a consequence of this theorem and previous results that BLpLq is first-order axiomatizable in the language of Banach lattices. By studying the pavings of arbitrary BLpLq-Banach lattices by finite dimensional sublattices that are themselves in this class, we give an explicit set of axioms for BLpLq. We also consider the class of all sublattices of Lp(Lq)-Banach lattices; for this class (when p/q is not an integer) we give a set of axioms that are similar to Krivine’s well-known axioms for the subspaces of Lp-Banach spaces (when p/2 is not an integer). We also extend this result to the limiting case q = ∞.  相似文献

Summary We have considered here the (unitary) irreducible representations of theq-deformed algebraU q(SO4) and of theq-deformed Lorentz algebraU q(SO3,1). Both of them contain, as subalgebra, the algebraU q(SO3) which is shown to be isomorphic to the Fairlie-Odesskii algebra. As the list of pairwise nonequivalent irreps of theU q(SO3,1) demonstrates, the set of the parameters, which characterize such irreps is somewhat reduced (due to periodicity properties of the function w(z)=[z]q) in comparison with that of theq=1 (classical) case. We classify quotients of type PSL(2,q) and PGL(2,q) with torsion-free kernel for four of the nine hyperbolic tetrahedral groups. Using this result, we give a classification of the quotients with torsion-free kernel of type PSL(2q) ×Z2 of the associated Coxeter or reflection groups. These do not admit quotients of type PSL(2,q),PGL(2,q). We also study quotients of type PSL(2,q) and PGL(2,q) of the fundamental group of the hyperbolic 3-orbifold of minimal known volume.  相似文献

We transfer the whole geometry of PG(3, q) over a non-singular quadric Q4,q of PG(4, q) mapping suitably PG(3, q) over Q4,q. More precisely the points of PG(3, q) are the lines of Q4,q; the lines of PG(3, q) are the tangent cones of Q4,q and the reguli of the hyperbolic quadrics hyperplane section of Q4,q. A plane of PG(3, q) is the set of lines of Q4,q meeting a fixed line of Q4,q. We remark that this representation is valid also for a projective space over any field K and we apply the above representation to construct maximal partial spreads in PG(3, q). For q even we get new cardinalities for For q odd the cardinalities are partially known.  相似文献

We show that for all finite fields Fq, there exists a curve C over Fq of genus 3 such that the number of rational points on C is within 3 of the Serre–Weil upper or lower bound. We show that the only orthogonal polynomials satisfying a q-difference equation of the form π(x)D q P n (x) = (α n x + β n )P n (x) + γ n P n−1(x) where π(x) is a polynomial of degree 2, are the Al-Salam Carlitz 1, little and big q-Laguerre, the little and big q-Jacobi, and the q-Bessel polynomials. We determine the combinatorial and the ordinary depth of the maximal subgroups of the simple Ree groups 2G2(q). As an application of these calculations, we determine the subdegrees of primitive actions of the groups 2G2(q). We also improve an earlier estimate of Burness, Liebeck, and Shalev on the base size of” non-standard” primitive actions of 2G2(q) on the coset space of maximal subgroups from 3 to 2.  相似文献
