We consider the Hamiltonian H (K) of a system consisting of three bosons that interact through attractive pair contact potentials on a three-dimensional integer lattice. A model spectral problem of the form -i)y+xy= y on the finite interval [-1,1] with the Dirichlet boundary conditions is considered. Here is the spectral parameter and is positive. The behavior of the spectrum of this problem as 0 is completely investigated. The limit curves are found to which the eigenvalues concentrate and the counting eigenvalue functions along these curves are obtained.  相似文献

This paper provides an algorithm for the conversion of the index of an elliptic first-order differential operator A on the torus Y×S1 into the index of a canonically associated elliptic pseudo-differential operator Q and Y . It is supposed that Y is a closed smooth manifold and that A splits into /t + Bt , where {Bt} is a family of self-adjoint elliptic operators on Y satisfying the periodicity condition B1 = g B0 g–1 for some unitary automorphism g . Then it will be shown that the operator Q ( the desuspension of A ) can be written down explicity in the form Q = P+ –gP where P+ are projections onto the space of Cauchy data. In the second part , applications are given for the calculation of the index of the general linear conjugation problem (cutting and pasting of elliptic operators) , and the intimate interrelations between the related procedures of algebraic topology, spectral theory and functional analysis are explained . Summary A continued fraction (c.f.)K(a n /1) is called limit periodic if . Fora anda(–,–1/4],a0, Thron-Waadeland (1980) examined a modification of a limit periodic c.f. for accelerating the convergence. This acceleration remains modest if thea n converge only logarithmically. Thus it is proposed to apply an Euler summability method to the series equivalent to the c.f. Properties of the equivalent function are derived. These properties are used for choosing appropriate parameters for the summability method such that a considerable acceleration can be expected even if thea n converge logarithmically.Dedicated to Prof. F.L. We investigate two-dimensional timelike surfaces in a Lorentz manifold (X,g). It is shown that orientable surfaces with two spacelike boundary components (homeomorphic toS 1) are necessarily of topological type [0,1] x S1. We treat the initial value problem of a string (known from physics) as a purely geometric problem: Find a minimal surface which is specified by an initial curve and by a distribution of timelike tangent planes along . We prove the local existence and uniqueness of and also obtain global existence for special types (X,g). Global existence does not generally hold; we give a counter-example, which can be interpreted as a string collapsing into a black hole.  相似文献

We consider an elliptic boundary-value problem on an infinitely smooth manifold with, generally speaking, disconnected boundary. An algorithm is constructed for identifying deterministic dynamical systems described using a Urysohn operator, i. e., the investigation is conducted under the hypothesis that the investigated object has a partially known structure, a grey box, and the identification problem consists in approximating the Urysohn nonlinearity. The initial information for solving the identification problem is the aggregate of the input effects on a physical object, the input, and also its reaction to these effects, the output.
