We consider the discretization in time of an inhomogeneous parabolic integro-differential equation, with a memory term of convolution type, in a Banach space setting. The method is based on representing the solution as an integral along a smooth curve in the complex plane which is evaluated to high accuracy by quadrature, using the approach in recent work of López-Fernández and Palencia. This reduces the problem to a finite set of elliptic equations with complex coefficients, which may be solved in parallel. The method is combined with finite element discretization in the spatial variables to yield a fully discrete method. The paper is a further development of earlier work by the authors, which on the one hand treated purely parabolic equations and, on the other, an evolution equation with a positive type memory term. The present paper deals with oblique derivative problems for second order nonlinear equations of mixed type with degenerate hyperbolic curve, which include the Tricomi problem as a special case. Firstly the formulation of the problems for the equations is given, next the representation and estimates of solutions for the above problems are obtained, finally the existence of solutions for the problems is proved by the successive iteration of solutions of the equations and the fixed-point principle. In this paper, we use the complex analytic method, namely the new partial derivative notations, elliptic complex functions in the elliptic domain and hyperbolic complex functions in the hyperbolic domain are introduced, such that the second order equations of mixed type with degenerate curve are reduced to the first order mixed complex equations with singular coefficients, and then the advantage of complex analytic method can be applied.  相似文献

The present paper deals with the mixed boundary value problem for elliptic equations with degenerate rank 0. We first give the formulation of the problem and estimates of solutions of the problem, and then prove the existence of solutions of the above problem for elliptic equations by the above estimates and the method of parameter extension. We use the complex method, namely first discuss the corresponding problem for degenerate elliptic complex equations of first order, afterwards discuss the above problem for degenerate elliptic equations of second order.  相似文献

This article concerns the inverse problem for linear elliptic systems of first-order equations with Riemann–Hilbert-type map in multiply connected domains. First the formulation and the complex form of the problem for the systems are given, and then the coefficients of the elliptic complex equations for the above problem are constructed by a complex analytic method, where the advantage of the methods in other papers is absorbed, and the used method in this article is more simple and the obtained result is more general. As an application of the above results, we can derive the corresponding results of the inverse problem for second-order elliptic equations from Dirichlet to Neumann map in multiply connected domains.  相似文献

A general, non-self-adjoint, complex, elliptic boundary-valueproblem is approximated by a system of complex, finite-differenceequations and solved by SOR techniques. Since transformationsof the complex difference equations to real equations lead tosystems which lack diagonal dominance, the difference equationsare solved iteratively as a complex system. A brief accountof complex SOR theory is provided. This includes block as wellas point methods and, for the complex point Jacobi matrix, thedistribution of the eigenvalues and the proof that there isone eigenvalue pair with maximum modulus are given. We study elliptic systems of strongly nonlinear first-order differential equations in complex form on the plane. For such systems we develop the theory of Hilbert boundary value problems which is very much similar to the well-known theory for a holomorphic vector. Systems of nonlinear elliptic equations describe problems of interaction of several nonlinear stationary processes in the diffusive and convective mass and heat transport by hydrodynamic fluid flows.  相似文献
