Just as matroids abstract the algebraic properties of determinants in a vector space, Pfaffian structures abstract the algebraic properties of Pfaffians or skew-symmetric determinants in a symplectic space (that is, a vector space with an alternating bilinear form). This is done using an exchange-augmentation axiom which is a combinatorial version of a Laplace expansion or straightening identity for Pfaffians. Using Pfaffian structures, we study a symplectic analogue of the classical critical problem: given a setS of non-zero vectors in a non-singular symplectic spaceV of dimension2m, find its symplectic critical exponent, that is, the minimum of the set {m?dim(U):U∩S=0}, whereU ranges over all the (totally) isotropic subspaces disjoint fromS. In particular, we derive a formula for the number of isotropic subspaces of a given dimension disjoint from the setS by Möbius inversion over the order ideal of isotropic flats in the lattice of flats of the matroid onS given by linear dependence. This formula implies that the symplectic critical exponent ofS depends only on its matroid and Pfaffian structure; however, it may depend on the dimension of the symplectic spaceV.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of rational explicit symplectic integrators for one-dimensional oscillatory Hamiltonian problems are presented. These methods are zero-dissipative, and of first algebraic order and high phase-lag order. By means of composition technique, we construct second and fourth order methods with high phase-lag order of this type. Based on our ideas, three applicable explicit symplectic schemes with algebraic order one, two and four are derived, respectively. We report some numerical results to illustrate the good performance of our methods.  相似文献

This paper deals with Lagrangian bundles which are symplectic torus bundles that occur in integrable Hamiltonian systems. We review the theory of obstructions to triviality, in particular monodromy, as well as the ensuing classification problems which involve the Chern and Lagrange class. Our approach, which uses simple ideas from differential geometry and algebraic topology, reveals the fundamental role of the integer affine structure on the base space of these bundles. We provide a geometric proof of the classification of Lagrangian bundles with fixed integer affine structure by their Lagrange class.   相似文献

Dirac submanifolds are a natural generalization in the Poisson category of the symplectic submanifolds of a symplectic manifold. They correspond to symplectic subgroupoids of the symplectic groupoid of the given Poisson manifold. In particular, Dirac submanifolds arise as the stable loci of Poisson involutions. In this paper, we make a general study of these submanifolds including both local and global aspects.In the second part of the paper, we study Poisson involutions and the induced Poisson structures on their stable loci. In particular, we discuss the Poisson involutions on a special class of Poisson groups, and more generally Poisson groupoids, called symmetric Poisson groups, and symmetric Poisson groupoids. Many well-known examples, including the standard Poisson group structures on semi-simple Lie groups, Bruhat Poisson structures on compact semi-simple Lie groups, and Poisson groupoid structures arising from dynamical r-matrices of semi-simple Lie algebras are symmetric, so they admit a Poisson involution. For symmetric Poisson groups, the relation between the stable locus Poisson structure and Poisson symmetric spaces is discussed. As a consequence, we prove that the Dubrovin Poisson structure on the space of Stokes matrices U+ (appearing in Dubrovin's theory of Frobenius manifolds) is a Poisson symmetric space.  相似文献

A toric origami manifold, introduced by Cannas da Silva, Guillemin and Pires, is a generalization of a toric symplectic manifold. For a toric symplectic manifold, its equivariant Chern classes can be described in terms of the corresponding Delzant polytope and the stabilization of its tangent bundle splits as a direct sum of complex line bundles. But in general a toric origami manifold is not simply connected, so the algebraic topology of a toric origami manifold is more difficult than a toric symplectic manifold. In this paper they give an explicit formula of the equivariant Chern classes of an oriented toric origami manifold in terms of the corresponding origami template. Furthermore, they prove the stabilization of the tangent bundle of an oriented toric origami manifold also splits as a direct sum of complex line bundles.  相似文献

We examine families of twists by an automorphism of the complex polynomial ring on n generators. The multiplication in the twisted algebra determines a Poisson structure on affine n-space. We demonstrate that if the automorphism has a single eigenvalue, then the primitive ideals in the twist are parameterized by the algebraic symplectic leaves associated to this Poisson structure. Furthermore, in this case all of the leaves are algebraic and can be realized as the orbits of an algebraic group. Presented by K. Goodearl  相似文献

We study certain algebraic properties of the small quantum homology algebra for the class of symplectic toric Fano manifolds. In particular, we examine the semisimplicity of this algebra, and the more general property of containing a field as a direct summand. Our main result provides an easily verifiable sufficient condition for these properties which is independent of the symplectic form. Moreover, we answer two questions of Entov and Polterovich negatively by providing examples of toric Fano manifolds with non-semisimple quantum homology, and others in which the Calabi quasi-morphism is not unique.   相似文献

We present the Hamiltonian formalism for the Euler equation of symplectic fluids, introduce symplectic vorticity, and study related invariants. In particular, this allows one to extend Ebin’s long-time existence result for geodesics on the symplectomorphism group to metrics not necessarily compatible with the symplectic structure. We construct a nontrivial cyclic cocycle on the Weyl algebra of a symplectic vector space. Using this cyclic cocycle we construct an explicit, local, quasi-isomorphism from the complex of differential forms on a symplectic manifold to the complex of cyclic cochains of any formal deformation quantization thereof. We give a new proof of Nest-Tsygan's algebraic higher index theorem by computing the pairing between such cyclic cocycles and the K-theory of the formal deformation quantization. Furthermore, we extend this approach to derive an algebraic higher index theorem on a symplectic orbifold. As an application, we obtain the analytic higher index theorem of Connes-Moscovici and its extension to orbifolds.  相似文献

We discuss several symplectic aspects related to the Mañé critical value c u of the universal cover of a Tonelli Hamiltonian. In particular we show that the critical energy level is never of virtual contact type for manifolds of dimension greater than or equal to three. We also show the symplectic invariance of the finiteness of the Peierls barrier and the Aubry set of the universal cover. We also provide an example where c u coincides with the infimum of Mather’s α function but the Aubry set of the universal cover is empty and the Peierls barrier is finite. A second example exhibits all the ergodic invariant minimizing measures with zero homotopy, showing, quite surprinsingly, that the union of their supports is not a graph, in contrast with Mather’s celebrated graph theorem.  相似文献

Hamilton系统是一类重要的动力系统,辛算法(如生成函数法、SRK法、SPRK法、多步法等)是针对Hamilton系统所设计的具有保持相空间辛结构不变或保Hamilton函数不变的算法.但是,时域上,同阶的辛算法与Runge-Kutta法具有相同的数值精度,即辛算法在计算过程中也存在相位误差,导致时域上解的数值精度不高.经过长时间计算后,计算结果在时域上也会变得“面目全非”.为了提高辛算法在时域上解的精度,将精细算法引入到辛差分格式中,提出了基于相位误差的精细辛算法(HPD-symplectic method),这种算法满足辛格式的要求,因此在离散过程中具有保Hamilton系统辛结构的优良特性.同时,由于精细化时间步长,极大地减小了辛算法的相位误差,大幅度提高了时域上解的数值精度,几乎可以达到计算机的精度,误差为O(10-13).对于高低混频系统和刚性系统,常规的辛算法很难在较大的步长下同时实现对高低频精确仿真,精细辛算法通过精细计算时间步长,在大步长情况下,没有额外增加计算量,实现了高低混频的精确仿真.数值结果验证了此方法的有效性和可靠性.  相似文献

Using techniques from the homotopy theory of derived categories and noncommutative algebraic geometry, we establish a general theory of derived microlocalization for quantum symplectic resolutions. In particular, our results yield a new proof of derived Beilinson–Bernstein localization and a derived version of the more recent microlocalization theorems of Gordon–Stafford (Gordon and Stafford in Adv Math 198(1):222–274, 2005; Duke Math J 132(1):73–135, 2006) and Kashiwara–Rouquier (Kashiwara and Rouquier in Duke Math J 144(3):525–573, 2008) as special cases. We also deduce a new derived microlocalization result linking cyclotomic rational Cherednik algebras with quantized Hilbert schemes of points on minimal resolutions of cyclic quotient singularities.  相似文献

Hochschild cohomology governs deformations of algebras, and its graded Lie structure plays a vital role. We study this structure for the Hochschild cohomology of the skew group algebra formed by a finite group acting on an algebra by automorphisms. We examine the Gerstenhaber bracket with a view toward deformations and developing bracket formulas. We then focus on the linear group actions and polynomial algebras that arise in orbifold theory and representation theory; deformations in this context include graded Hecke algebras and symplectic reflection algebras. We give some general results describing when brackets are zero for polynomial skew group algebras, which allow us in particular to find noncommutative Poisson structures. For abelian groups, we express the bracket using inner products of group characters. Lastly, we interpret results for graded Hecke algebras.  相似文献

We provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the derived self-intersection of a smooth subscheme inside a smooth scheme to be a fibration over the subscheme. As a consequence we deduce a generalized HKR isomorphism. We also investigate the relationship of our result to path spaces in homotopy theory, Buchweitz–Flenner formality in algebraic geometry, and draw parallels with similar results in Lie theory and symplectic geometry.  相似文献

Vector cross product structures on manifolds include symplectic, volume, G2- and Spin(7)-structures. We show that the knot spaces of such manifolds have natural symplectic structures, and relate instantons and branes in these manifolds to holomorphic disks and Lagrangian submanifolds in their knot spaces.For the complex case, the holomorphic volume form on a Calabi-Yau manifold defines a complex vector cross product structure. We show that its isotropic knot space admits a natural holomorphic symplectic structure. We also relate the Calabi-Yau geometry of the manifold to the holomorphic symplectic geometry of its isotropic knot space.  相似文献

A well-known theorem due to E. Zelmanov proves that PI-Lie algebras with an algebraic adjoint representation over a field of characteristic zero are locally finite-dimensional. In particular, a Lie algebra (over a field of characteristic zero) whose adjoint representation is algebraic of bounded degree is locally finite-dimensional. In this paper it is proved that a prime nondegenerate PI-Lie algebra with an algebraic adjoint representation over a field of characteristic zero is simple and finite-dimensional over its centroid, which is an algebraic field extension of the base field. We also give a new and shorter proof of the local finiteness of Lie algebras with an algebraic adjoint representation of bounded degree.  相似文献
