Summary In this paper the stability analysis of an incompressible toroidal Hall Current plasma with resistivity and viscosity on the basis of the linearization of the governing equations and boundary condition is rigorously justified. A nonlinear local existence theorem for an initial-boundary value problem is first proved, and local stable and unstable invariant manifolds of a nonlinear resolving operator are then constructed. It is shown that linear stability implies nonlinear stability and global existence, and linear instability implies nonlinear instability in some sense.  相似文献

本文对一类非线性算子半群————Lipschitz算子半群的渐近性质进行研究,刻划了非线性Lipschitz算子半群所具有的基本渐近性质(这些性质与线性算子半群所具有的基本渐近性质相一致),证明了作为线性算子对数范数的非线性推广,Dahlquist数能用于刻划非线性Lipschitz算子半群的渐近性质.为克服Dahlquist数只对Lips-chitz算子有定义的缺点,本文引入一个全新的特征数:广义 Dahlquist数,并证明广义Dahlquist数比Dahlquist数能更为精确地刻划Lipschitz算子半群的渐近性质.作为应用,得到关于 Hopfield型神经网络全局指数稳定性的一个新结果.  相似文献

The problem of almost everywhere stability of a nonlinear autonomous ordinary differential equation is studied using a linear transfer operator framework. The infinitesimal generator of a linear transfer operator (Perron-Frobenius) is used to provide stability conditions of an autonomous ordinary differential equation. It is shown that almost everywhere uniform stability of a nonlinear differential equation, is equivalent to the existence of a non-negative solution for a steady state advection type linear partial differential equation. We refer to this non-negative solution, verifying almost everywhere global stability, as Lyapunov density. A numerical method using finite element techniques is used for the computation of Lyapunov density.  相似文献

本文引进Banach空间E的一个全新对偶空间概念—Lipschitz对偶空间,并证明:任何Banach空间的Lipschitz对偶空间是某个包含E的Banach空间的线性对偶空间,以所引进的新对偶空间为框架,本文定义了非线性Lipschitz算子的Lipshitz对偶算子,证明:任何非线性Lipschitz算子的Lipschitz对偶算子是有界线性算子.所获结果为推广线性算子理论到非线性情形(特别,运用线性算子理论研究非线性算子的特性)开辟了一条新的途径.作为例证,我们应用所建立的理论证明了若干新的非线性一致Lipschitz映象遍历收敛性定理.  相似文献

This work deals with a scalar nonlinear neutral delay differential equation issued from the study of wave propagation. A critical value of the coefficients is considered, where only few results are known. The difficulty follows from the fact that the spectrum of the linear operator is asymptotically closed to the imaginary axis. An analysis based on the energy method provides new results about the asymptotic stability of constant and periodic solutions. A complete analysis of the stability diagram is given in the linear homogeneous case. Under periodic forcing, existence of periodic solutions is discussed, involving a Diophantine condition on the period of the source.  相似文献

The minimax formula for linear eigenvalues of a linear operator is used to estimate the parameter values (λ) for which the self-adjoint operator L(λ) on Hilbert space to itself fails to have a bounded inverse. Such λ compose the “nonlinear spectrum” of L. The parameter spaces include regions in real or complex n-space. A modified iteratively regularized gradient method and its continuous version are proposed for nonlinear ill-posed problems, in which the Tikhonov regularization term is generated by a linear operator. The linear operator may have some physical meaning. And by employing the linear operator, scaling the problem can be avoided in the case that the nonlinear operator in the problem has larger gradient. Adopting a posteriori and a priori stopping rule respectively, we establish the convergence results by using a modified approximate source condition. The numerical results show that the linear operator effects the performance greatly.  相似文献

We study the stochastic stability of a two-dimensional diffusion process described by a system of two nonlinear Itô stochastic differential equations. The nonlinear drift operator is assumed to be additively separated with respect to the variables, and the diffusion is assumed to be degenerate with respect to only one of the two components of the process. We consider cases in which, in the expression for the nonlinear drift vector, two of the four functions of one variable are linear. We obtain sufficient conditions for the stochastic stability of such systems. As an example, we consider a stochastic system whose deterministic part is equivalent to the classical Lienard equation.  相似文献

It is a very common practice to use semi-implicit schemes in various computations, which treat selected linear terms implicitly and the nonlinear terms explicitly. For phase-field equations, the principal elliptic operator is treated implicitly to reduce the associated stability constraints while the nonlinear terms are still treated explicitly to avoid the expensive process of solving nonlinear equations at each time step. However, very few recent numerical analysis is relevant to semi-implicit schemes, while "stabilized" schemes have become very popular. In this work, we will consider semi-implicit schemes for the Allen-Cahn equation with $general$ $potential$ function. It will be demonstrated that the maximum principle is valid and the energy stability also holds for the numerical solutions. This paper extends the result of Tang & Yang (J. Comput. Math., 34(5) (2016), pp. 471-481), which studies the semi-implicit scheme for the Allen-Cahn equation with $polynomial$ $potentials$.  相似文献

The projection-algebraic approach of the Calogero type for discrete approximations of linear and nonlinear differential operator equations in Banach spaces is studied. The solution convergence and realizability properties of the related approximating schemes are analyzed. For the limiting-dense approximating scheme of linear differential operator equations a new convergence theorem is stated. In the case of nonlinear differential operator equations the effective convergence conditions for the approximated solution sets, based on a Leray-Schauder type fixed point theorem, are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper Tikhonov regularization for nonlinear illposed problems is investigated. The regularization term is characterized by a closed linear operator, permitting seminorm regularization in applications. Results for existence, stability, convergence and con- vergence rates of the solution of the regularized problem in terms of the noise level are given. In studying the stability of Bénard problem, we usually have to solve a variational problem to determine the critical Rayleigh number for linear or nonlinear stability. To solve the variational problem, one usually transforms it to an eigenvalue problem which is called Euler–Lagrange equations. An operator related to the Euler–Lagrange equations is usually referred to as Euler–Lagrange operator whose spectrum is investigated in this paper. We have shown that the operator possesses only the point spectrum consisting of real number, which forms a countable set. Moreover, it is found that the spectrum of the Euler–Lagrange operator depends on the thickness of the fluid layer.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the compression of colour images using a new nonlinear cell-average multiresolution scheme. The aim is to obtain similar compression properties as linear multiresolution schemes but eliminating the classical Gibbs phenomenon of this type of reconstructions near the edges. The algorithm is based on a nonlinear reconstruction operator (using a nonlinear trigonometric mean). The new reconstruction is third-order accurate in smooth regions and adapted to the presence of discontinuities. The data used are always centred with optimal support. Some theoretical properties of this scheme are analysed (order of approximation, convergence, elimination of Gibbs effect and stability).  相似文献

Abstract

In [7] the subject of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces (RKHSs) of linear functionals associated with linear operators and, in particular, with second-order generalized stochastic processes (GSPs), is pursued. In this work these ideas are extended to nonlinear operators. As an example the characteristic operator of a GSP is pursued. The so-called nonlinear space of the process associated with the characteristic operator is investigated and the RKHS of functionals isometrically isomorphic to it is constructed. Unlike the linear space, the nonlinear analysis is not limited to second order GSPs.  相似文献
