A new class of differential equations with state-dependent piecewise constant argument is introduced. It is an extension of systems with piecewise constant argument. Fundamental theoretical results for the equations—the existence and uniqueness of solutions, the existence of periodic solutions, and the stability of the zero solution—are obtained. Abstract theorems of existence and uniqueness are proved for a differential equation whose solution takes its values in a sequence of Banach spaces called a Banach filtration (a notion introduced by F. Treves). The abstract theorems are then applied to obtain existence and uniqueness theorems of a classical nature bearing on that generalization of the Cauchy problem of partial differential equations known as the Goursat problem. All the results so obtained remain true in the case when the equations involve more general operators than partial differential operators (e.g., pseudo-differential operators)  相似文献

In this paper we study the existence of periodic solutions with prescribed wavelength for two classes of nonlocal fourth-order nonautonomous differential equations. Existence of nontrivial solutions for the first equation is proved using Clark’s theorem. Existence of nontrivial solutions for the second equation is proved using the symmetric mountain-pass theorem.  相似文献

In this paper the shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks (SICNNs) with continuously distributed delays are considered. Without assuming the global Lipschitz conditions of activation functions, sufficient conditions for the existence and local exponential stability of the almost periodic solutions are established by using a fixed point theorem, Lyapunov functional method and differential inequality techniques. The results of this paper are new and they complement previously known results.  相似文献

This paper deals with the Cauchy problem for nonlinear first order partial functional differential equations. The unknown function is the functional variable in the equation and the partial derivatives appear in a classical sense. A theorem on the local existence of a generalized solution is proved. The initial problem is transformed into a system of functional integral equations for an unknown function and for their partial derivatives with respect to spatial variables. The existence of solutions of this system is proved by using a method of successive approximations. A method of bicharacteristics and integral inequalities are applied.  相似文献

A diffusive Lotka-Volterra type model with nonlocal delays for two competitive species is considered. The existence of a traveling wavefront analogous to a bistable wavefront for a single species is proved by transforming the system with nonlocal delays to a four-dimensional system without delay. Furthermore, in order to prove the asymptotic stability (up to translation) of bistable wavefronts of the system, the existence, regularity and comparison theorem of solutions of the corresponding Cauchy problem are first established for the systems on R by appealing to the theory of abstract functional differential equations. The asymptotic stability (up to translation) of bistable wavefronts are then proved by spectral methods. In particular, we also prove that the spreading speed is unique by upper and lower solutions technique. From the point of view of ecology, our results indicate that the nonlocal delays appeared in the interaction terms are not sensitive to the invasion of species of spatial isolation.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence, stability, and global attractivity of time-periodic solutions for a class of coupled parabolic equations in a bounded domain. The problem under consideration includes coupled system of parabolic and ordinary differential equations, and time delays may appear in the nonlinear reaction functions. Our approach to the problem is by the method of upper and lower solutions and its associated monotone iterations. The existence of time-periodic solutions is for a class of locally Lipschitz continuous reaction functions without any quasimonotone requirement using Schauder fixed point theorem, while the stability and attractivity analysis is for quasimonotone nondecreasing and mixed quasimonotone reaction functions using the monotone iterative scheme. The results for the general system are applied to the standard parabolic equations without time delay and to the corresponding ordinary differential system. Applications are also given to three Lotka-Volterra reaction diffusion model problems, and in each problem a sufficient condition on the reaction rates is obtained to ensure the stability and global attractivity of positive periodic solutions.  相似文献

Summary A general existence and uniqueness theorem for solutions of linear dissipative stochastic differential equation in a Hilbert space is proved. The dual equation is introduced and the duality relation is established. Proofs take inspirations from quantum stochastic calculus, however without using it. Solutions of both equations provide classical stochastic representation for a quantum dynamical semigroup, describing quantum Markovian evolution. The problem of the mean-square norm conservation, closely related to the unitality (non-explosion) of the quantum dynamical semigroup, is considered and a hyperdissipativity condition, ensuring such conservation, is discussed. Comments are given on the existence of solutions of a nonlinear stochastic differential equation, introduced and discussed recently in physical literature in connection with continuous quantum measurement processes.  相似文献

We study Lp-viscosity solutions of fully nonlinear, second-order, uniformly elliptic partial differential equations (PDE) with measurable terms and quadratic nonlinearity. We present a sufficient condition under which the maximum principle holds for Lp-viscosity solution. We also prove stability and existence results for the equations under consideration.  相似文献
